Avenue Daumesnil, 75012 Paris, France, Savigny-le-Temple
Zoo with naturalistic habitats including savannah for giraffes & zebras & Patagonia for manchot.
We bought tickets online and wanted to visit the zoo at 4 pm but the doorman denied the access. Of course we were aware of the opening time slots (closing 5 pm), there was still one hour to go, so to deny the access approx. one hour before closing seems a bit arbitrary. We visited Paris just for one weekend, so there is no use for our tickets anymore. After telling our story to the service team, no one was willing to find a client friendly solution…Would not recommend.
I had the pleasure of visiting the Paris Zoo during a week long stay here in the city.I visit a local zoo back home weekly, so I was eager to check this place out.I must say, I was overall impressed. What I loved about the enclosures was how full of grass and plant life there was. Much more natural settings, as opposed to concrete. What a variety of species too. I really loved the puma, baboons, and the wolves. While I wish some of the enclosures were bigger for the animals sake, maybe down the road that can be done.Another reviewer posted about how angry they were that some of the animals didnt come out during their visit. Newsflash...They dont have to! They have that right. Just be grateful theres a place like the Paris Zoo where they can live peacefully and be taken care of.Thank you for letting me spend an afternoon at your zoo.
I loved the zoo more than my kids ❤️ also near the zoo there is a lake where you can set and relax the whole day
The animals are not well treated. In a sense that wild animals are stuck in kind of cages. So it is a pity for them. Also the visibility is reduced. So it is a loose loose game. The glass windows of the cages are dirty adding a harship for the vision. It is clearly disappointing for a "first world country". And it costs 20 eur!!
A cute little zoo, we went late in day in early November, and had little crowd. Took us 2 hours to go through the place, just observing the animals. Some animals that cohabitation with monkeys looked a little bullied/stressed, but overall the place seemed well kept.We didnt go with any children.
Good for outing with kids , not very far from Paris, in 3 to 4 hour you can finish visiting
Nice family day out. Plenty of animals to see and kids gets free face paint. Also many facilities throughout the zoo
Lovely place.. great collection of animals & friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip 🙂
This zoo was amazing! Ive visited many zoos worldwide and this is easily top 5 for me. Enclosures were great and there was many different viewpoints to see the animals. They also has some species I havent seen in zoos before like a wolverine & the bush dogs. Well worth a visit, very enjoyable zoo.
Really enjoyed visiting the zoo with the kids. I wish there were more activities for kids to feed the animals or learn from a shirt kid friendly explanation in some areas.
Beautiful zoo in Paris. I visited there with my two years old son. I recommend to go early in the morning to take advantages of some activists like feeding animals. For restaurants, mostly it’s heated up products or sandwiches. If you end the journey around noon, I recommend the one near by entrance. But at best, it’s good to prepare the meal since there is microwave to heat up baby or children food. There is also picnic area so it’s another idea for lunch. It’s too bad that there is no open area where children can mingle with farm animals. It would be a good idea though.Priority access for disabled or pregnant women is available at ticket. Please use this line to avoid a long queue. At best, it’s good to book online. Queue is no longer than 15-20 minutes on Saturday morning from my experiences since two desks were opened.
This Park is beautiful and has such beautiful animals. You can easily spend your entire Saturday here. We saw a black puma, giraffes, rhinos, beautiful birds and some creepy reptiles. It was definitely worth the effort!
One of the most beautiful zoos Ive been to! We loved the penguins, the grand aviary and the rainforest. Cant wait for a chance to come back!
Very neat and green space, they treat the animals very well and care for them. The area around the zoo is very nice too
This smallish zoo is absolutely beautiful! Clean and well designed, easy layout, and happy looking animals! Id suggest going first thing when its not busy and not as sunny!
very nice place to visit, specially with children. Many variety of animals such as seals, penguins, puma, etc. Also has a shop with different variety of souvenirs, toys, books, etc. Also has places to eat.Provides map (French and English versionsfor easy travel inside. Many scenic places nearby.
It is nice place to visit in Paris specially with kids. This park is open all days in week. In summer (May to Augustopening hours 9:30 am to 8:30 pm and during winter it is open from 9:30 am till 6:30 pm. Many animals are there to visit. They have multiple show with animals throughout the day which are very entertaining. Show schedule is available at the entrance only.
Ok, but quite small, felt more like a "rush this way through and get to the gift shops" than a proper Zoo where the layout let you wander around between various animals in your own pace.
Very beautiful zoo parc, not far from Paris. Great for families. One day is more than enough to visit it all
enjoyed it so much so many animals to see and the restaurant inside is great and the loves the gift shop
One of the best zoos Ive visited. The ecological system they made is so amazing.. Kids enjoyed it.. One down side, all wild animals were sleeping! For like 2 hours and there were so few.. I think they can increase their number 🤷🏻♂️
Fun zoo to visit while you have time to spare in Paris. The zoo is easily accessible by metro (still zone 1), but may take a while to reach when you are at another site in Paris. The zoo is not that large in terms of scale and species but the layout that consist out of different biosphere make it fun to wonder around. The quarters of the animals are relatively large and in the troposphere you can walk around the birds. Only thing was that it was very hot outside when we visited, which meant that the animals were hiding somewhere in the shade or in their sleeping quarters, which made it difficult to spot some of the animals. Prices are okay.
This is the most disappointing Zoo I have visited so far in Europe (and Ive visited some...). Beside being so small, they charge you 20€ on tickets - and you visit all the zoo in about 2-2.5h. Also, there are no water fountains where you could drink water (especially now beeing so hot- there are just some lost vending machines. The animals are also hard to spot, and they seem to be very few
Wild variety of animals such as anteaters, green anacondas, snakes, and many more. The sea lions there can do amazing tricks.
Jaguars, monkeys and even all kinds of reptiles… the Paris zoological park is home to more than 180 different animal species. This zoo will take you all around the world with its different biozones which aim to imitate the animals’ living habitat with utmost accuracy.
I wasnt even expecting that this Zoo can be that cool! Almost in the middle of the city, next to a fantastic park and a lake! For 20 euro you can enter almost different world. Just keep in mind to make a visit or in the morning or close to the evening because in the middle of the day they are usually sleeping and you can miss a chance to see most of them. Also its good idea to see the most interesting animals during their feeding time. For example seeing see lion was much fun!The biggest impression on me left Puma, Leopard and Giraffes! If you have time I recommend to buy a ticket and take a walk over there!
Good family fun. Well designed and clean. You can see all the animals within 2 hours. Parking is possible in the nearby streets and you can take the subway. The spotted black jaguar is a MUST - so beautiful! Enjoy!
Even though I do not support zoo places, because a friend of mine wanted to go there,we went. My experience was an amazing experience, animals didnt look bad, they were well taken care of, overall, very nice.
Lovely little zoo, its not huge but you could definitely spend 2-3 hours there. Never seen animals be so active and playful, they all have plenty of room and a good enviroment with stimulation. The botanical garden was gorgeous too!
very nice place, not the best we have ever seen but very nice. the animals is hiding a lot and some of them you cant even see.
Enjoyed my visit to the zoo. Tickets are freely available at the counter. Try to visit the zoo on a less sunny day, because you wont be able to see the animals well through the glass when the sun is reflecting off it. Much better to have a cloudy background to have more visibility. The zoo was clean and there were many food places and toilets. I highly recommend it to anyone
Perfect for a half a day visit with my kids, 20y old, 8y old and 3y old! they were happy to walk and see the animals, that are very well kept with care and good conditions! We enjoyed the visit a lot, and it is perfect after couple of days when we walked around the center!
Amazing experience, the park is so pretty, theres so many animals to see, from seals, to giraffes and marine mammals. Super happy with my visit, I recommend going there in the morning and spending a full day for a better experience.
Haven’t been here in years but things are still as good as before, animals are easily visible for kids and it doesn’t feel as if they’re being kept far away. However, pricing is still awful and a family with 3 kids would pay an insane amount of money for a few hours…something to review, keeping animals is expensive but the pricing renders the zoo inaccessible to many.
We had a nice visit with my son and his friends .The animals were interesting in their homes . The picnic area nearby the Zarafa restaurant is very nice . I found the entrance fee to be expensive. The restaurant too for very affordable. The facilities are good . U can chill and relax and enjoy the scenery.
Wonderful zoo to visit. My kids really enjoyed it‼️We decided to get out of the zoo around 3.40PM and headed straight to the car was parked next to the zoo..Very surprise our car window glass was broken and the stuff in our car was stolen by irresponsible person…Really hope in future the management of the zoo will provide the parking only for their guest. And not happen to other guest who park there. My kids are traumatized 😭
The Parc Zoologique de Paris is located near Bois de Vincennes, accessible through Porte Dorée (tram T3a and metro line 8)Overall I liked the visit to the zoo.I specially enjoyed the Grand Voliére and the Bâtiment des Girafes, where you can observe de animals more closely. And I fell in love with the Manatees that gave nice spinnings while we observed them in the aquarium. In the Parc there is an interesting variety of animals from Africa, Asia, Europe and America. The decoration of the Parc is very cozy and according to the habitat of the different animals. However as it is winter some of the outdoor animals from warm temperature environments were clearly freezing in the open, standing right under the spotlights and even holding them while shaking ):It could be nice if you could check their conditions and improve their corrals for winter. More important is they wellbeing than their visibility.
Just back from visiting and what a great experience it was. The whole park is exceptional, I had a great day out a must-visit for anyone visiting the city. The large variety of animals and few shows to boost. I can say that animals look amazing and you can see them really close. The birds just fly and walk with you. The sea world is outstanding, I have never seen that many new species in my life.
Really nice medium sized zoo that provides big enclosures for the animals. One thing that could be improved is the missing English translation for the animals descriptions.
short: very small and to expensiveWe visited a lot of zoos in europe and this one was for the price a little bit disappointing. The zoo is small and has not so much animals. But the animals, which are there looks healthy. And that is the most important point. There are huge clutches for every animal and the zoo is also very clean.
We paid 80euros there for 4 adults and baby is free. It‘s a pretty nice huge zoo. I love the animals and the whole zoo, I didn’t like the rude guard over there that gave me an attitude after I used the toilet! If you’re lazy to work then don’t work! There are more other decent people out there that’s way more deserving to get paid. Don’t ruin the perfection of the zoo.
Amazing experience to walk around with animals. The best thing is Amazon Raintree zone. Everything is well organized. It was not that big but quite good.
Loved seeing the animals, alot of them whom i had never seen before with my own eyes. Would have really enjoyed it, if there were some texts in English. As a tourist, that doesnt speak french, i was really dissatisified, with the fact thati understood none of the facts about animals. Also the pictures that they take of you cost 20€ per picture at the gift shop. Might be cheaper to just order a private photographer to follow you.
Its always a pleasure to visit this Zoo with my kids. Plenty of discoveries but make sure you dont go on a hot day since animals have tendency to hide in the shadesHighly recommended
Always enjoy coming here with the kids! Its a great zoo, with buying tickets online there has been no queu last 2 times visiting. Inside there is a lot of animals and large spaces to observe. Highly recommended for all ages.
Visited this zoo on 17th feb 2020 as me and my partner visiting from the UK. Zoo was easy to find. A little trip down the metro :. This zoo definitely ranks in at one of the best zoos i have ever been too ever. First of all the staff was so friendly and helpful and answered all the questions i asked. By far the cleanest looking zoo. The overall look of the zoo is amazing. Animals look looked after well and have plenty of space to roam around. Food and drink abit pricey but that is expected. Overall great time visiting. Would definitely recommend visiting this zoo.
Very nice and airy zoo! Cool way to present different habitats! The visit takes at least two hours, especially if you get immersed into the habitats and start reading all the informative boards. There are several places where you can grab a bite - most often sugary, carbs intensive that gets kids jumping up and down 😋Should you aim for health snacking, make sure you come prepared 🍏🥕🍊
Very nice zoo, re-opened in 2014 after years and years of refurbishment. The result is quite impressive and the vegetation reflects the vegetation the animals normally live in. I recommend to buy your tickets online so you dont need to queue to get your tickets. They lend strollers for kids (badly needed if you dont have a stroller as the zoo is huge!). The tickets are quite costly but its definitely worth the experience.
Pros:Extremely fun and a warming experience to see all these animals from around the world. They seem to be well taken care of.It’s usually not too crowded.A bit far out of the city but easy to reach by subway.Price is fair.Cons:Can be really hot to walk outside for hours under the beating sun, bring sunscreen, water and a cap/umbrella.
One of the best zoos I have been to worldwide! Clean and kid friendly. Stroller friendly, for sure. The cafe has easy menu options for families and decent baby food as well. Get a burger and fish and chips for 20 euro. The enclosures are well designed and is usually easy to get a view of the animals. If not from one window, walk around to another big window! Staff is friendly and helpful, my family really enjoyed our visit :)
