Description
Privilege
Great view of Corfu island and Paxos from here. It is reachable by car and there is parking.
MoreA must see place, the views to the island are incredible!
Amazing views. Good parking and there is a restaurant with view over the sea!
As per most of Corfu its up a large windy hill, really good views, theres a super cafe next to it that does food and drink .👍🙂
MoreA nice view, but there’s an abundance of superb vantage points on the island. Worth a visit if on the way, wouldn’t make a special effort to get there.
MoreA little narrow and twisty to get to, but superb views
Free entry and parking, though cars, hairpins and Greek villages dont mix well! We parked early, and walked the last section. Some excellent views, especially north and eastwards. The nearby west coastline is obscured by the local olive trees.
MoreGoogle maps took us to this amazing hilltop peak. Theres a restaurant here and also a very short trail for some memorable views.
MoreAwesome spot to watch the sun go down in Corfu, with great views into all directions. We visited in September and it wasn’t too crowded either.
MoreEasily accessible viewing point with exceptional panoramic views of Corfu.
Beautiful place at the top of Corfu. 360 views of the island. It’s history?
Nice view 360 degrees of the island for free definitely worth to visit.
Nice area to visit but not for the faint hearted if you suffer from vertigo like me 😊 roads are a bit narrow and signage is awful, found it by accident 😂 its free to visit
MoreFrom Herr you can see almost the whole island. After the walk around go and enjoy a coffee at the bar, next to the spot. You can park her or leave the car in the village and have a nice 30 minute stroll up the hill.
MoreGreat place to visit and a gorgeous panoramic view!
Beautiful place to see the surroundings up to the sea! Lovely hotel there with stunning view from the terrace where you can have a drink- or two.
MoreBe aware, of your phone. Up on top it automatically connects to an Albanian network, so different roaming fees may apply.
MoreGreat views of the island, when get past the ladies doing duck face selfies.
Absolutely stunning, a must see. It is beautiful. And you can access it by a car. Also wheelchair accessible, at least the terrace under the observatory. The path is pretty narrow at times.
MoreMarvelous 360 view of the island!
Vera Nice place with a magnificent panorama view.
360 view on top of the mountain. Long drive to reach the top but very easy access
MoreNice view. Less people. Good for trip.
A must visit place if you’re nearby Pelekas. Absolutely stunning view to the midlands of island Corfu. You shall visit during sunset hour to get colorful and romantic atmosphere.
MoreEnjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Corfu island from a very special point.
Beautifull place with gorgeous sights in every direction you look. Sunset was especialy magical, although a bit crowded by other visitors. Nearby is a nicely looking hotel with restaurant and well oriented terrace (live music was playing during our visit).
MoreIt is was not wery popular at the time we visited the place. It hinl.this area of the iland a bit fare from the north maybe this is the reason why are not many coffee and tavernas. But near the top of the hill you can find some of them. The weather was really hot on the day we were the castle. It is nice and has a great view around the mountens and a bit of the sea.
MoreIf you decide not to visit this observatory landmark, you wont miss a thing. Its situated at the top of a hill and all, but its overlooking the forest side of Corfu and not any of the nice and unique beaches. Youll get a relatively nice panoramic view of one side of the island, nothing memorable though. There are a few old paintings and utensils and items on display there as well. If you have a limited time your time is better spent on visiting the nicest beaches, the old Corfu town and the Fortress instead :)
MoreSuch a beutiful place to see the island and the sunset!
It is amazing! You must visit there. I suggest to be there just before sunset. Youll never regret.
MoreIts worth the visit, nice view of both sides of the island. We walked our way up, but its accessible by car, parking available.
MoreGreat panorama view. The sunset could not be seen entirely because the sun is going down, between the mountains, nut the view is spectacular
MoreAn interesting observation deck, from which the panorama of the entire island is visible. There was practically no need to wait, we looked around a little while people came down from the "throne". The locals have tried to make this place informative, neat and intriguing. Well-groomed paths, historical photographs are hung right on the trees, there are many castles on the observation point that the newlyweds hung as a sign of their strong union. The view is phenomenal. I want to look at the panorama endlessly.
Moreyou can go to the top by car, there is no problem with parking. The view is beautiful. Below the observatory, there is a lovely village with lots of lovely tavernas.
MoreGreat views 360°. Lots of love Locks there. Worth a visit, easy parking.
Amazing view almost of the whole island. Perfect for sunset time! You can go there by car up to a point. As you go up, the viewing area is at your right, not from the restaurants side.
MoreIt is worth coming for a beautiful 360-degree view of the entire island of Corfu. P.S. The restaurant next door has high prices: p
MoreBeautiful place with an amazing view. A historical spot where royalty came to view the island
MoreAmazing view of Corfu! The car park is right at the top. Follow it up with a drink at the nearby hotel. We went in the evening so it was perfect for watching the sunset.
MoreBeautiful place. Fun to climb up.
Quite a brilliant spot for both sunrise and a little of sunset. Sunrises in Corfu are not much because they overlook the Albanian mountains. But this one offers a good view from the other side of the island. It’s quite calm and also buzzed by a bunch of mosquitoes. We went in off season and did not find it crowded during both mornings and evenings. Sunset could get a bit obscured by the mountains and a slightly lower locations would be better options than this one.
MoreGreat observation point with a stunning view on all the north-western part of the island. Better be visiting on a sunny day, we didnt have so much luck this time :Located in a small park, giving a chance to take a break, walk around and relax. Parking is located right outside, close to the neighboring hotel and restaurant. While there, take a walk to the restaurant terrace to see the other part of the island above the sea.
MoreAmazing panoramic views of the island. Free to park and free entry. Definitely worth a visit. The village of Pelekas leading up to this is also very pretty and nice to stop at for a coffee
MoreNice place to visit and have a beautiful view on huge portion of the Corfu Island including Pantokrator and main city Kerkyra (if the weather is nice). Other than that there is not much else to do. Still recommend to visit this place.
More4 stars only because I love viewing platforms in general. As usually around touristic places, there was a lot of mess and trash around. I believe it wouldnt hurt the 4-star hotel next to this Observatory to pickup the trash sometimes. This place is for free and that is why it is in conditions as it is. Personally, I would not mind paying a small fee if it secured that someone would take a better care of this lovely spot with beautiful views. You can park your car on a relatively big parking lot only 1min walk from the Observatory.
MoreNice place to visit during the evening and enjoy the idyllic sunset 🌅 and the unique panoramic view. It will definitely stay vivid in your minds while the sun will sink into the sea and Corfu will constantly switch colors from one minute to the other. On the highest spot of Pelekas Village, there is a monument. A name given from the German Emperor Wilhelm the Second, who used to observe Corfu’s natural beauty. A truly majestic experience you do not want to lose. You can go here with a car 🚗 and park on top of the hill.
MoreGreat view, theres a good restaurant in the place. You can go all the way with the car theres parking on top. Just be careful its a narrow road
MoreNeat spot with magnificent views. Great for sunset watching. There is a little restaurant up there too.
MoreThe view is so amazing! We where here in the morning around 8:30 and it was so quiet. The sun was really down so we made beautiful pictures.
MoreAmazing serendipity! Views from the "throne" were spectacular! No one else was there, hotel and patio restaurant 100 feet away on opposite side was like a dream! Fresh fish for the day with potatoes was €10, great milk shakes, very kind gracious staff. I want to come back and stay in the hotel for a week!
