Paramount Tandoori - Indian restaurant in Penarth, United Kingdom
delicious food and lovely service
Thank you guys for all you did to make my cousins Birthday meal perfect! As he has mobility Issues, you were extremely helpful and polite and made sure his meal was the best! I cannot thank you enough and will highly recommend you to friends for not only your amazing Food, but for your genuine hospitality. Hope to see you again very soon.
Shame they dont use real Naga chillis in their Naga Chicken dish, very disappointing
Lovely curry here, food is excellent. Well stocked bar and friendly, attentive staff
Nice meal nice service pleasant staff even had non alcoholic beer for me
Very friendly service and really tasty food
I have waited 2 1/2 for a delivery.I hope it dont come now because I have had a meal lol
I havent been to the Paramount for quite a few years. International Day was really busy but they got us a table and the food was outstanding. Service was efficient and the food arrived pretty quickly. Im definitely going back again soon.
I got to Cardiff 0900 pm, nothing was open on a friday night to eat where we were places were only serving drinks, so as I knew Cardiff so well, I knew an indian restaurant would be open, so we drove to the railway station, there it was, free parking and a jewelry of India, the Paramount still open and busy, we got a table instantly, and the food was excellant, tasty and falling, even the irish coffee I had was great, the water on ice perfect, everything for the meal tasted made on the premises and beautifully served, excellant meal, £50.00 for two.
Absolutely love this place ,food is always amazing and service is excellent........
Really superb authentic restaurant whether you eat in or takeaway the food is excellent. My favourite is prawn puree . Service is really good too.Would highly recommend.
Great tasting tikka masala excellent service
Excellent food and service. Will definitely visit again
Food is delicious and the staff are absolutely amazing.
Have been a lover of Indian food since I was 17yrs old. Not disclosing my exact age, I can say I have OVER 30yrs of experience. This place in my opinion was only surpassed by two other experiences as the worst Indian takeaway food I have eaten. Sheek kebab starter.. dry and very salty. Peshwari nan tasted OK but had very little coconut and the same for the keema nan which had only traces of meat. The main dishes were chicken korma and a chicken rezala (chefs recommended). The korma, a coconut based curry was overpowered by the taste of coconut water and had no creaminess, though the chicken was properly cooked. The rezala had properly cooked chicken but was bathing in a watery fluid mixed with soggy onion and tomato. Now, pilau rice should flow off the spoon, but this clumped like cat litter. Overall, the meal resembled a failed first attempt at a home effort of cooking Indian food. Not impressed at all and had travelled from Merthyr to Penarth to collect, based on others recommendations.
Payed for and didnt get my starter chicken chat so shared starter travelled from barry to collect no very happy
Went for a meal, food was outstanding and great service
Ordered takeaway. Took two hours and turned up stone cold. I live about a mile away. No resolution offered. Told me they were busy and they would write it down for the manager. First and last time ordering from them
The food is always good, the staff are friendly and attentive.
Terrible.been told 40 minutes wait, rang and told it will be a further 20 minutes....my children and I are still waiting!
After our Indian turned up 40 minutes late it was cold, watery and only had 2 pompadoms when I ordered and charges for 4. First time ordering and the last.
Very pleasent staff and good tasty food.
Excellent food lovely staff.
Allways great service and fab food ..
Always delicious food and friendly staff
Good food, great prices and friendly staff
Food always wonderful, great value for money !
Beautiful food top notch service
Havent been there in years. Why change something, that doesnt need changing. Good night out.
The Paramount has been in Penarth for over 25years. Its centrally located near the main train station and has ample parking outside. I had a Chicken Shatkora which is a Bangladeshi dish and my wife had a Vegetable Byriani. The service is fine but I was disappointed that the restaurant serves a Baileys in measures of 25ml instead of the legal 50ml.
Very friendly and makes space when busy. Food always good
Phoned them at 23:15 and asked if they were still serving and they replied main meals only , I informed them I would be arriving in 10 mins max and they were ok with that . On arrival they informed me "takeaway only" ! Why didnt they say that to me on initial phone call ??!! ARSEHOLES
Very friendly service and good food. Youre very well looked after here.
Friendly staff and nice curries for reasonable price
Staff very attentive but food extremely bland: not a shadow of any spices. My chicken bhuna, supposedly spicy and dry, came instead in a tasteless tomatoey broth. The food in this place is a far, far cry from what it was on our first visit, 32 years ago.Dont know if Ill find the courage to give it an other chance.
Excellent meal and exceptional ervice. Will definitely repeat our visit .
Best curry in Penarth. I’ve been visiting here for over 30 years and the quality is superb.
If I could give no start I would . Spent £40 on food for 2 that was so disgusting my dog wouldnt even eat it and when I rang to complane the man that answered said you got what you paid for. Will never use them again.
Had a really nice evening at the Paramount Tandoori, staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. Best of all they dont skimp on the servings ... we had enough to take away for lunch he next day. Definitely return soon.
Don’t bother with a takeaway from this place. It took 70 minutes to arrive and it was cold. The delivery driver then pretended not to have any change so that he could get an £8 tip. I told him I wasn’t tipping and he suddenly found pockets full of change! Eating in and collection is fairly good
Veru good Indian, great service and really helpful if youre new to Indian food.
Do not order takeaway from this place. 75 minutes and we are still waiting.
Consistently great food & friendly, generous service - recommended.
Great service from Mohammad! Really enjoyed the lamb organ Josh, highly recommended.
Staff always provide a high level of attention in a friendly and welcoming manner really making you feel like a valued customer. The menu is large and everything I have tried has been very tasty and satisfying.BYOB is allowed here with a corkage fee which is handy with The Bottle Shop being just across the road.
Not the worst weve had but very average. For the price of the food it was very bland.
Enjoyed a great meal in this lovely restaurant tonight. With family from Canada who didnt know what to order, given lots of helpful information and if they didnt like the meal, the offer to exchange it free of charge, plus they gave us an extra sauce to try. The meal was delicious, the service really really excellent, we will be returning often.
after moving away 10 years ago from Penarth we walked into what was our favourite Indian restaurant The Paramount. The waiter said to me after 10 years good evening Mr Winter.OMG.The food was just as good as it always was.Neil Winter
Excellent food, freshly cooked. Friendly, knowledgable, helpful staff! Best curries in Penarth! Highly recommend! A joy to visit every time!
Great food and fantastic service! Have visited many times before making this comment, The owner son who is normally there to serve could not do anymore to help (He is a real Gem and such a gentleman)
