The food and atmosphere are good.Service staff behavior is frustrating and not a welcoming environment.Hopefully management will look into this and make a welcoming place again.

A group of co workers and I ate at Paradice Indian Grill on Tuesday and it was the worst experience I have ever had. We all work in the industry so we know how things can happen. But when one of the ladies found a hair in her food and the manager was so rude about it (he told her he wouldn’t take it off her bill and told her to find the hair again), that’s just unacceptable. We had already had super slow service, missed meals, forgotten drinks and not to mention the food was drowning in sauce (it was more like soup, which hid the fact there was hardly any ingredients). I was looking forward to trying this place, because I hadn’t been here before. Now I will NEVER be back

I found a hair in my food and wont take the food off and the owner want to find the hair and he was rude as hell

Great Indian food and service.I love the street style noodles and egg curry.The food is not greasy and always freshly made. The servers are extremely polite and welcoming.The chef was not happy with the bread so he sent another one complimentary.They serve dosas on Wednesday night.

Ordered Samosas and Butter Chicken. We were seated promptly, given our beverages and got to enjoy the lovely environment. Very clean and relaxing. The samosa’s were the best I’ve ever had, crispy and flaky with lots of delicious filling. The butter chicken we ordered mild and came that way, delicious sauce and tender chicken. I’d definitely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for flavorful, well-made and well-priced Indian cuisine!

This is our favorite!!! Quality of food, service, and atmosphere is excellent. You will notice they also serve a very busy and active delivery and take out clientele, which tells you they are well liked.

Stopped in for supper tonight, it was fantastic! Cauliflower wings appetizer, medium hot, was excellent. My wife and I shared Butter Chicken and the Paradise Special Fried Rice along with the Garlic Naan. One of the best dinners I have had in a while. For me the fried rice was the winner but all of it was delicious.

We enjoyed a great meal tonight at The Paradise Indian Grill. Cauliflower wings,Butter chicken and Paradise special fried rice all cooked perfectly with just the right amount of spice. Nice clean atmosphere and a very friendly server made for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

We have tried lamb dum biryani today at lunch at Paradise Indian Grill. It generally takes 20-30mins to prepare an order (not just biryani but anything else), which is a bit too high. The food is, unfortunately, not tasty. The portions are not too much but okay for one person. Instead of biryani masala, curry-type spices are mixed with rice of the biryani. The pricing is usual as other places but at this price point much better biryani can be expected. We will give 2/5 considering food taste, service and pricing.

We were there for Wednesday Dosa night and it was total chaos. They need a hostess to seat people efficiently. Parties of 2 and 1 were seated in 6 seater tables, therefore larger groups had to wait for a long time for a table.Order fulfillment has always been slow at paradise (take-out or dine-in), but Dosa night is the worst. We waited 45 min to be seated and our order got skipped/lost/ many excuses made by staff and we did not get our dosas until 2 hours later. And when the dosas came to our table, they were cold, mind you.We have ordered take-out several times before and there has been some mix-up or confusion every time. We keep giving them another chance thinking that they are still new, fledgling and have the same low staff issues that every place is facing due to the pandemic. But this Dosa night was the last straw. Horrible service! Never going back. They lost a loyal customer for good.

Cedar Rapids has several Indian dining options and Paradise is near the top of the list. The food is excellent - the chana masala is amazing and complex, and the aloo gobi curry was equally delicious. Portions are generous and the food was spicy without being overpowering. As some others have noted, there is room for improvement in service - when we were greeted, the person seemed distracted and only gave us one menu. A different person served the food and he was more friendly and attentive.

The food is so good here too and the staff are really good about answering any questions about the food. Cocktails are also amazing and they dont skimp on the alcohol either. The mojito I had included tons of fresh mint. It was like they have their own herb garden in the kitchen. And dont get me started on the wonderful smell that hits you when you walk in the restaurant! If youre not sure what to try, check out their weekend buffet. A great way to try everything!

One of the few really good Indian restaurants around. Had to travel 40 minutes from Iowa City to get good Indian food.

Had a lunch buffet, food is good, I have given 4 stars instead of 5 since being vegetarian I found very few vegetarian options in the buffet.

This is the best Indian food in town and one of the best restaurants in the city. The tikka masala is really good and the staff are friendly.

Feeling so late to the party but this place rules. I got the Tangy Garlic Curry and the Onion Kulcha Naan and they were both absolutely wonderful. I cant express how awesome the curry was - it probably had literally an entire head worth of fried garlic cloves luxuriating in a delicious sauce. The whole thing tasted especially of fried garlic and curry leaves, it was amazing. The wait for my to-go order was no more than 15 minutes and the service was kind and attentive. I will be back, probably literally tonight, to try the Dosas. Thank you very much!

This was the best Indian food I have had in Iowa. We were here for the lunch buffet and the Chicken and Fish Kabab and the Biryani were EXCELLENT! The only reason I gave 3/5 instead of 5/5 is the timing. We arrived at 1.15pm during lunch and felt rushed to eat and leave (and constantly warned about the time). Did not get enough time to taste all the great food. Our water glasses were never refilled but plates were cleared fast. Will come back again earlier just because the food is so good!

Wow..!! What a delicious food. An Authentic indian taste, with the right mix of herbs, spices and flavors. Also, they have great acumen towards customer service, which is an absolute delight.

There’s spicy, then there’s ethnic food spice… and then there’s this place which just dumped as much spice as humanly possible to the point where you’re completely ruining the flavor so it’s impossible to enjoy.Pretty sad, cause Indian food when done right can be perfect even if it’s spicy. This is just flavorless and extremely spicy for no reason.

We had take out, but staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Ordered the street noodles and Naan. Delicious!

From the first moment we walked in, there were already 4 people sitting around waiting for their to-go orders looking real mad. I asked one of them whats going on and apparently they had been waiting for at least 45 minutes. Not a good sign, but we dined in anyway.The waiter who took our order didnt write anything down (impressive at first), repeated our order back to us 3 times, but still got the orders wrong in the end. We asked for only one of the dishes to be spicy, and they made the dish that wasnt supposed to be spicy like level 4 out of 5 spicy (we only asked for level 2), and the dish that was supposed to be level 2 spicy had zero spice.After scraping off the level 4 spicy sauce that it was doused in, the Chicken Tandoori was finally edible but fast approaching room temperature, and there was not enough meat there to warrant a $13.99 price tag. Also, do not order the Mango Dal unless you like tepid, flavorless bean soup. Youd think it would at least taste like mango, right? Nope, no flavor whatsoever, and definitely not worth $10.99. Did they forget to put the mango in the Mango Dal?The worst part was the wait. We waited over an hour for them to serve us the first dish, and then another 20 minutes for the second dish with sides that were supposed to come out with the first dish.During our very long wait, we were not assured if/when our food was coming, we were not told why it was taking so long, nor did we get an apology for the long wait. We should have left, but we wanted to give them a chance to at least give us some good quality food, but no dice.Suffice it to say, I can NOT recommend this place because of the ridiculously long wait for dine-in and to-go, the disappointing quality of the food, and the severe lack of customer service. Hopefully they can improve, but until then, we probably wont be back.

Food was good although spicy even though ordered 1/5 spice. I ordered for my daughter and she couldn’t even eat it which was disappointing. If your going to have a spice scale be mindful of what spice level people are ordering. I ordered mine spicy and you couldnt tell the difference between the two.

Wow! My daughter and I stumbled onto this AMAZING restaurant in February, and wish we would have sooner. Great food.... Unlike anything Ive tried in the Cedar Rapids area, and generous portions at that. Then theres the intangible: the owners and managers are genuinely grateful for every guest, and they take time to visit with us every time we go there, always with the warmest smiles! The atmosphere is very nice, whether for a family outing or for a date night. Highly recommended!

The location is in a shopping center and has a colorful sign to show its front doors. The inside is very clean and open with a more modern design. I like it!A bar sits in the back of the restaurant and the drinks were poured with a heavy hand ;).The food was great. I love the chicken fried rice they have. We also got some okra, butter chicken, and somosas. Everything was quite delicious.We got spicy 1/5 because of the kids. I love spicy food and even this spice level I could feel some heat, so I was happy. The kids who love spicy food could just handle it, but needed a good bit of water.The only negative was the wait time. It took us around 45-50 minutes to get our food because they had a bunch of orders they were preparing for dashers, but the owner let us know when we sat so that was greatly appreciated.

Food was fantastic but youll have to wait a century for it, dining in or carryout... The front of house is manned by 1 person. There was way to much for him to handle and forgot about several tables and initial drink orders. If you are trying to get seated you might have to wait half hour for that alone. My experience was an hour and half post order for me to receive my food. If you are patient go for it but youve been warned.

BEWARE! Recipes have changed since their move! I called and they assured me the recipes didnt change, but I have ordered the same thing for 2+ years and this is NOT THE SAME. The vegetables are all minced instead of identifiable chunks and the sauces are less rich. Honestly it tastes like they are using less expensive ingredients. I was so excited for then to reopen and now I need to find another restaurant because at these prices I expect the food to taste like it.

We ordered multiple times from Paradise and the food was great and delicious. The appetizers and main course were both delicious and had good portion sizes. We like this place due to the friendly management that enables good customer service.Highly recommend it for a good and tasty food.

We always have the most delicious food here! We like it spicy and level 4 is perfect for us. We tried level 5 spice once. My tongue was numb. We had to get a cone at mcds to calm it down lol. Anyway such good food!

We ordered online our meal to go tonight. Previously, we had always called our orders in. The food is consistent and quite delicious! We arent huge Indian food fans, but we have a few dishes there that we enjoy. The staff is very quick and friendly when handling to go orders.

It was our first time trying Indian food and the server was very friendly and helped us pick out things we might like and answered all our questions. Everyone liked their food and the prices were very reasonable. The fresh baked naan was amazing! The restaurant is very nice inside with great atmosphere and decor. Even the kids are excited to go back sometime.

Chicken Biryani is hands down awesome. Spice level as well as moistness is perfect. Other than biryani, I like their methi chicken and bullet naan. Frankly, all the items (veg/non-vegare very good. Lastly, the afternoon buffet is well balanced and quality hardly differ than ala carte order. To conclude, I celebrated my birthday at this place; enjoying Tiramisu cake.

The staff was very helpful. The food was very good. It has an awesome atmosphere. The lighting is very relaxing. Definitely recommend.

The best Indian restaurant in town by far with some great collection of beers and cocktails. Paradise old fashion is my favorite. I had apollo fish appetizer to go along with my paradise old fashion and chicken tandoori as my entree. Food was excellent. Service and ambiance is great. Its a must try :)

First time here and this might have become my new favorite place! The atmosphere was nice and calm, while the wait staff was nice and helpful! Definitely will be back.

Nice place for some American Indian food. The ambience was very nice. The decor was very calming. Was not greeted to be seated but they got us to a booth. The food was pretty good. We had the Butter Chicken w/sesame seed Naan. The waitress was very nice but not as attentive to us as expected. They seem to be short handed on employees. The prices were pretty ok for the pocket. I would still go back as a last resort.

Holy cow, came here for the first time this Sat, food was outstanding!!! I was craving something a lil more wholesome than pub/bar food/quick food, and this place hit the spot 1000%. I should preface with the fact that my wife and I are huge fans of Indian food and have thus far been pretty impressed with other C.R. Indian; in my opinion though, this place was far better. I got the kadai chicken curry at spice level 2. As someone who likes spice, it was still a good bit of zip but nothing that had my clutching at my water. Definitely gonna be stopping by again!!!

I would say that this is the best place to have biryani in Iowa. Properly cooked meat. You can add how much ever spice you want to add in your meals. The staff was very good. The owner was very friendly. Good Ambience. I really liked their trippy lamps😝. Do have the chicken biryani with extra spice. I had Ras Malai too which was really nice. The Gobi Manchurian is good too. The dal tadka could have been better, it lacked a little salt which really made it bland. over all its a really nice restaurant. I hope you guys open a branch in Utah too!

So we decided to try the new Indian place we found today. Overall, it was a good place to try. This bloody Mary looks amazing. It was a bit bland, could have used more spice and definitely some salt. Even the pickle was a bit of a let down. For eight dollars, not worth it.We ordered the lunch combo. It came with soup or salad, naan, entree, and dessert. Its a good value for your money, we definitely walked away stuffed! We asked for salads, they didnt have any. So we tried the soup. Not bad, a bit spicy, decent amount of cilantro.Naan bread was excellent! We tried garlic and just buttered. I went for a two out of five spice level while my partner asked for four/five. My coconut chicken curry was very good, but it was more of a three for spice. His butter chicken was also delicious but spice levels were pretty similar to mine.Dessert was a small fried dough in saffron syrup. It was good, but you really only need one. They are very sweet!Overall, service wasnt too bad, it seemed like they might have been a bit understaffed, but it was an enjoyable lunch. Hopefully, they will get better with time and experience. We would go back to this place.

First time weve visited and it was fantastic! I would recommend the butter chicken to anyone not familiar with Indian cuisine. We will definitely be back soon.

Food was delicious. I had the butter chicken and it was very flavorful. But my friend let me try some of her kabob and that was delicious next time I go that is what I will get. Only 3 stars because service was questionable. I arrived late and was given my friends beverage. We had to ask multiple times for silverware. He just seemed distracted and disinterested. The person who recommended this place had amazing service so maybe just an off night but the food is amazing.

The food, cocktails, and service are amazing! We just stopped by to try it out and were pleasantly surprised. We liked it so much that we decided to move my 30th birthday dinner here. The decor and music are very nice and relaxing. Check it out!
