Paprika Café - Coffee shop in Bogota, Colombia
Didnt try the food which may be wonderful. The place was not inviting enough to order. No bathroom use allowed, paper taped all on the doors, no one to greet us when we walked up to the ordering window which is outside.
Absolutely incredible. We got 2 garlic chicken wraps and baklava. The wraps were amazing, the sauce was perfect. The baklava was so good too. The man who runs the restaurant was super nice. Will definitely be coming back every time we are in the area! Highly recommend!
Best food in Monterey! My favorites are the Garlic Chicken & the Falafel Salad.
We got the garlic chicken and it was amazing. Owner was very kind as well. Definitely some of the best meditarranean food Ive had in a long time!
Wow, really tasty and high quality! Homemade with care and attention. The little 2 table patio is cute too. Small and humble and well worth the stop!
I passed paprika Cafe many years only because I caught up with him every Tuesday at the Farmers market but now Ive noticed he is not there so here I am at his restaurant where he hand makes everything from scratch. I love it I will go to no other place. Why because I just came from Mykonos and now I know what the authentic taste is for Greece and countries that are close to it. My taste buds are craving since Ive been back, my favorite is the Lamb and the eggplant baba ganoush but decided to order the spanakopita combo. Ahh its fantastic 😍😊😘❤️
A small hole in the wall place. Food was just outstanding - it was fresh, delicious and high quality. The seating is limited, so plan taking it away to the beach if the seating is full. The gentleman who owns the store is very kind!
Food was amazing, staff send above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Definitely will come back here
Food was delicious and prompt. Theres a little outside seating, nice.
Amazing food. The owner & chef let us sit with our dog on the cozy outdoor patio
Not your average Mediterranean food. Unbelievable flavors. Highly recommend!
Great place, the owner /chef serves one party at a time, is super friendly and the food is great and appropriately priced and portioned. My partner and I ordered the falafel plate and the tzatziki plus two pitas, the spicy lemonade and mango nectar. Got a free baklava for spending over 40$ as well!
Super yummy! Man at the cashier gave my friend and I free baklava snack and was super nice :). It was a little pricier than expected but good quality.
We called in to place a takeout order because we were in a rush. Owner says hell have the food ready in 5 mins. Just dine in. Makes sense, we decided to dine in.When we got there we found that seating was extremely limited. Theres one guy taking orders and cooking. He takes each order, "prepares the food" and serves it.There was one party ahead of us. Yet it took 15 mins before we could place our order. Another ten minutes before the food was ready. But that wasnt what the worst part. The owner is very rude to speak to. The grilled chicken and gyros we ordered were cold. The meats were dry and hard from sitting out all day. Even the falafels were cold. When we pointed it out to him, he gave us three warm ones. It still tasted like microwaved ones.An hour later we left having eaten sad cold lunch.
Portions, flavors/ingredients and location is perfect. Fresh Mediterranean foods, (vegan&veg friendly if youre into itthe meat in the wrap was a tad bit dry, but the pita and veggies were fresh and I liked the guy manning the store. Currently an offer of free baklava (random flavorfor $40 or more purchase a sweet surprise!
We loved the spicy lemonade here the best!
nice owner/baker, he kindly gave us a box of cashew baklava for free, this place won the Michelin Star in 2019 right before COVID, currently no inside dining but there is a couple of tables in the shady grotto by the front ordering window where the owner himself will bring you out the food.
Walk up window. Great food. Good portions for the price and worth the wait. Nice man
Amazing Turkish coffee and a very kind, determined owner. He even ran a block to catch up to my friend, who had left their backpack behind, to give it back. But I digress. Have I said the Turkish coffee was amazing also? Yeah.
Very small restaurant with limited outdoor seating. They had these vegan Baklava that are so delicious!
We love this place and make sure to come through when we are in the area. The owner is so kind and the food is delicious
Delicious Food ! Sweet Ambiente ! Very good Service !
Best gyro we have ever had. Really amazing food and the owner/chef is really nice. Gave us some free baklava too which was awesome too. Dont think just go.
Amazing food! Great service. We had the garlic chicken wraps, falafels and humus with pita. Spicy lemonade to drink. everything was fresh and tasty! Great balance of spices and flavor! Very friendly owner. Needs more staff to minimize the wait time. Other than that I love this place! Would definitely come again! So good we took more food back to the office !
Delicious food! I got the garlic chicken sandwich and it was super tasty and fresh. Highly recommend, especially if you want to do takeout because there is limited seating. Would definitely come back next time I’m in Monterey.
Must visit if you are at Monterey. No wonder it’s on Michelin guide. A small place for delicious food. Visited last year for the first time not sure what to expect and got hooked up to its Mediterranean food. Love the lamb n chicken wraps and don’t miss Paprika lemonade. Now a regular customer :)
Delicious Mediterranean food! The hummus is so fresh and tasty. The Turkish coffee is delicious too! Super cute outside patio, seating for about 8 people. Nice and shady with lots of plants :)
Loved veg falafel Wrap and baklava. Lot of vegetarian and vegan options. The host is very kind and friendly. Walnut baklava are delicious.
Great food. Small, but cute outdoor sitting area. Tasty gyros, garlic chicken and baklava.
Their falafel wrap was really good. Hummus was okay. Also, ordered their garlic chicken which was also good but I’ve had better ones. Fresh spinach salad, delicious garlic sauce and fresh rice. The best part was this place is halal and the gentleman was super nice.
Its a Lebanese food cafe . We tried its lunch twice and it tasted good
Quaint place! Wasnt sure what to expect but was really glad we stopped here for lunch! I had the Garlic chicken plate with the Mango Nectar drink. Both were amazing! We had the vegan baklava as well and plan to stop by just to buy more of that. Will definitely stop here again!
Showed up late on a Thursday during a road trip. Owner was running the shop and was very kind to us. We got to sit in the cute little patio they had and the food was just what we needed: fresh and tasty. We will be back again!Edit: remember to get some baklava!
Really good Mediterranean food. Theres a sign outside that said vegan baklava and I was automatically interested. I had the tabboulee hummus wrap which was delicious. He let me try the Walnut baklava which was and I bought a box of the cashew baklava which did not disappoint. Wish they had indoor seating.
food was phenomenal and the guy working there was ridiculously nice! If you are in search of a meal or even just a bite to eat this is the place. The hot lemonade was my personal favorite.
Amazing Mediterranean food. Very fresh and perfectly spiced.Ambience of the little sitting space with the jasmine flower vines was very suiting to the town.
This was on the first sight, a hole in the wall place. The menu felt very traditional Mediterranean food but the taste was oh-my-god amazing. Hummus was one of the best I had and the dolmas were like the very best. They offered us complimentary Baklava and I tell you, we went back and got more for the drive back home.Must, must try.
Food was fresh and service was great. I got the vegetarian spanokopita and falafel plate and it was delicious. The vegan cashew baklava slaps. They also have a pistachio and walnut version as well. Will be back regularly.
The meal was SO good! This is falafel and tabbouleh wrap, incredibly delicious, I took the other one to go
Really loved this place the owner was very friendly and nice to talk to despite the place being so busy. All of the food we had was good. I got shwarma. Also the baklava at the end was really good, had to get more to bring home. .
Amazing food and the owner is awesome to deal with. Authentic Mediterranean and they even had quite a bit of vegan options including Baklava. The humus is top notch, the Baba Ghanouge is good, the falafel is amazing and the Baklava was spectacular. This is the type of local business that you want to support. Its a small space and parking is limited to street parking in front of the location. If you have more than two people, do takeaway, the food is well packaged and stays in good shape till you get it to your location. They dont skimp on the portions or things like the pita bread. Highly recommend this restaurant.
A little place full of delicious surprises run by a very nice owner and chef. Cozy seating area inside, nicely decorated, serves Mediterranean dishes. Lots of vegan options. Tasty baba ganoush, tabuleeh, hummus and falafel. Not to mention the baklava!
Oh my gosh, this place was amazing. The food was excellent and the owner was such a sweet man. The baklava was so good too, now over sweet, just enough. 10/10 recommend!
EASY FIVE STARS - fantastic chicken and great service from the owner. Small place and not quick because the owner prepares all the food. But overall super good. Recommended to all!
I ordered a gyro, and a dolma wrap. It was delicious. We also ordered falafels that were packed with flavor and only 65 cents each. The food was homemade. I think it was a mom and pop cafe. Both the chef and waiter were very nice and accommodating. Although there were only 5 tables, it was cozy and and peaceful.
When we got there the older gentleman we assumed was the owner warned us that it was going to be a long wait since he was working alone because his helpers didnt show up for work. But he did it all. He took orders cooked everything from scratch and served food for the 4 tables of patient customers. It didnt even seem to take that long considering the circumstances. The food was fresh and very tasty. He was friendly and made a point to even make cute faces at my friends baby and talk to us about his family. Next time I am in Monterey Im definitely making a point to come back.
Good halal food. They know the food they serve is delicious. So the chef is not at his best with customer service. Small dining area but I would definitely eat here again.
One of the best Mediterranean restaurants Ive been to, in the bay area. Small cozy place with great variety and menu options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Everything is freshly prepared, dolmas are pretty good. We ordered a second plate to try some other offerings on the menu despite being full. Must visit if your in the area.
Ive been here many times over the years. Christophs food is always so good, and he purposely designed the inside to feel like youre in his living room. He treats his guests like theyre in his home. Kafta and the lamb are my favs, but Ive never had anything bad there.
Amazing food, plenty of vegetarian options. The owner runs a very tight one man- show and it can get very full very quickly! Go there with plenty of time and enjoy the flavours :closed on Tuesdays because he is at the farmers market downtown.
