Pappasito's Cantina in Marietta
Description
Privilege
The front desk hostess was the rudest person I have encountered in a long time. I had a reservation and she basically told me I was lying, even after they text me to tell me my table was ready. The waitress who served our table was perfect and the food was good, I had the pulled pork enchiladas; the food was seasoned perfectly.Everyone in my party enjoyed their meals as well, I did not drink, but they highly recommend a strawberry margarita!
MoreWOW! Arrive hungry, leave waddling! You definitely get what you pay for - the portions are enormous! And the flavors are to die for - the chips and salsa will have you reaching for the basket constantly! Everything tasted so great that I ordered dessert - even being stuffed full on half a plate! Strongly recommend to anyone visiting the Marietta area. Order the enchiladas!
MoreOne of our familys favorites... highly recommended! Great food and recommend the platters to share... a little taste of several items for every one. Also suggest getting the guacamole appetizer though you may want to check if your entree or platter comes with guacamole first. Our platter included guacamole and we had plenty left over to take home. The garlic butter sauce with fajitas or brochette shrimp is amazing.
MoreWent there tonight with my family and it was fantastic. Our server Tay was attentive and super kind. The food was spectacular and the ribs especially are the best item on the menu. The quail appetizer was also absolutely amazing and it was super juicy. The customer service was amazing everything was 10/10. 1000% everyone should go here
MoreCompletely surprised! First time visiting. Great food and serviceLoved the Birthday song. Celebrating with family.
MoreFood was good, service just ok. A bit pricey to me for Tex-Mex. Id prefer a hole in the wall any day. We had a spread of food. So, the ribs had good flavor but were a tad bit over cooked, the diablo shrimp and tortillas were delicious!! They make there tortillas in-house and they are delicious! Id like to purchase some fresh for my at home tacos, theyre just that great. The wave and platinum margaritas were good. Salsa a bit too thin, I like mine a bit more chunky and the chips were chewy. Oh, but the pork empanadas fried in pork skin, OMG, now those were the talk of the table. We were here for a celebration, this wouldnt be my first choice for Mexican food.
MoreExcellent! I ordered a grilled platter that had steak, shrimp and chicken. The food is fresh and the flavor is great. Everything was delicious. Fresh and tasty chips and salsa. Great service! One of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta
MoreThis was my first time here. I ordered the Baja Shrimp Tacos and they were good. The picture is not the greatest. I probably should’ve taken off the aluminum foil. I may go again and order the smoke ribs.🫤
MoreLiterally the best steak quesadilla Ive ever had! Im from Michigan and will definitely be coming back here next time Im in town. The steak was better than a steakhouse WOW. And the drink was amazing- margarita mixed with sangria. Loved this restaurant!
MoreAlways perfectly made Tex-Mex food and superb service!
Came here for my birthday. Worst experience ever. At 3pm there was an hour and forty -five minutes wait even though there were plenty of open tables. After getting drinks at the bar we waited an hour outside and left. I was craving some fajitas too. Worst service ever, they should have at least came out to see if we wanted chips and salsa.
MoreLet me preface this review by saying the manager, Johnathan, listened to our concerned and addressed them properly. His table side manner and professionalism were top notch. Despite our experience with our waitress, he remained positive and interacted with a smile. With that being said, our waitress was VERY inattentive. There was an allergy in our party which was made known but still ignored by the waitress even after manager verification. Items were missing or added even after we requested to omit it them. Fajitas were brought with no tortillas. No refills on water after 2 hours. Had to request napkins, silverware and straws. There were eight people in our party. The waitress walked by with a stack of to-go boxes and brought two to the table. One member of party didn’t get ANY food. We put our empty chip bowls and dip containers at the end of the table for them to easily be serviced but they sat there for the duration of our visit. The food is decent. I think if we were to fully enjoy the experience, we would return for the food. But the experience was heavily dampened by the lack of service.
MoreLong wait but was worth it and the waiting areas were nice. Server was excellent and on top of the service. Chips were warm and thin, hard to stop eating them. Margarita was great and the food was definitely one of the best Mexican style on my list.
MoreJust OK. $100 for two people to have lunch. Good, hearty portions. Decent service and decent food, but not worth the price.
MoreWell server was great the food was not the best almost like a play of food, idk how to say it but didn’t look appetizing to me and looked weird, oh and the tortillas on the floor looks like a mess in general
MoreLong waits, not fully staffed, and just not very well prepared. We ordered drinks and either didnt receive them or they brought the wrong drink, same sitting. Also once we received our food, we had to ask multiple times for utensils and waited 10 minutes before getting up and finding someone to bring us some. The food was good, but not worth all the self service and frustration of not enjoying a drink with friends and enjoying a full service experience evening.
MoreThe food was good. That was the only good part of the visit. The service was sub par. We had to make several requests just for condiments. Finally had to ask a manager to get what the server couldnt remember to get even though she repeatedly walked by our table. The atmosphere was far too much like a bar than a restaurant. The music loud and some nearby conversations were louder. Thats just not the kind of place I prefer to go for a meal. I wont be going back.
MoreI coming to this place today twice , wash my hand when I come back like 3 people take care me .I told my server was my first time give some time to order , after i ordered and my food came out the chef ( Jerry came to check my food and said welcome I know is your first time I hope you enjoy. After that the front manager came to my table with a free tres cake as a welcome ( Great I didn’t finished because I was so full , but was delicious.Thank papasito team I can see they do have a good líder ( coughing)Definitely if I comeback for another trip I will come to this place .
MoreOur second visit to Pappasitos, and it was just as good as the first time. The garlic butter dip for the tortillas is amazing, and worth the drive just for those. We got the family size chicken and steak fajitas, and it easily fed the four of us with leftovers to bring home. This would easily be a go to spot before Braves games.
MoreThis place was packed out on a Saturday night but we only had to wait on a table for about 20 minutes. We grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited and the bartender made me one of the best Micheladas I have ever had in Atlanta. The fajitas here are incredible and what I always get. The medium is more than enough food for 2. Our server Christian was nice and friendly and did a great job considering how many tables it looked like he had in his section - he was very busy.
MoreI would give zero stars but Stacy saved the night. I came to this place fully expecting to be wowed away by the amazing customer service I always heard about. But that was not the case. We arrived and the wait for a table was short but once seated we waited 15 minutes before we got up and asked to be greeted, the host said she was sorry and she’s send our waitress our way. Keep in mind that our section was a small room towards the back and we had made eye contact with several waitresses before anyone ever even approached us. Another party came into our section and were greeted immediately. 30 minutes had passed before Stacy approached our table and offered us complimentary chips and guacamole for the table and kept expressing how sorry she was. Our waitress on the other was not like Stacy, Whitney was the complete opposite. She was one of the many waitresses who kept walking right by our table and didn’t think to acknowledge us. I know there are stereotypes of young adults tipping poorly, i’m not oblivious to the way some of my peers act. We weren’t planning on tipping poorly, the poor customer service on Whitney’s part is the reason we came to that conclusion. We would’ve loved to tip Stacy.
MoreMe and the company I work for came here with a packed crew. We had to wait for the other people of our party to arrive but while we waited they made room for us to sit at the bar which was great. The food was amazing as well and it was definitely worth going to. 10/10 recommend.
MoreOur server Andrea was pleasant and attentive. The food is great pertaining to taste and portions and the drinks were strong. I wouldnt say authentic mexican...maybe gourmet Mexican food.
MoreVisited this location many times as we drive in from Augusta (2.5 hours awayto eat. Usually the food and service is pretty good, unfortunately tonight was the complete opposite. We waited an hour for the table - which we knew going in. Ordered immediately upon being greeted by our server Leigh. Waited an hour for food that never arrived. Leigh asked a manager to stop by the table as she knew we had been waiting for quite some time. Manager came to the table, made a comment "foods taking a while...huh?" Said he would go to the kitchen to get an ETA, never saw him again. Now we are driving the 2.5 hours home with empty tummies and a bad taste in our mouth about one of our favorite restaurants. Will think twice before giving them another chance.*Leigh, our server, did an amazing job! The manager needs a lot of work.
MoreThis place NEVER disappoints! Ive been here before and previously enjoyed their seafood enchiladas. This time, I ordered their Grilled Mahi Tacos (sub beans for grilled veggiesand a Pappasitos Reserva Margarita! Amazing food and service (we sat at the bar to avoid the wait to be seated).
MoreBe wary if you’re actually hispanic this is basically “fancy Taco Bell” So for starters the tacos are not real tacos. Chicken is gummy and stretchy and very bland. The tortilla shell they gave us for the “tacos” got soggy really really quick. The spoon and forks are dirty and not well wash in the slightest. Seriously just look at the pictures and YOU tell me if that’s Mexican food not even qualified to be considered “Tex-mex”
MoreI was here for a work event and absolutely loved the food. We had a set menu to save time and it checked most of the boxes. The service was quick and attentive. The cocktails were amazing, and I loved my strawberry mango margarita. The sizzlers were tasteful and had a great flavour. The desert platter was outstanding and I may just come back for it. The two items that you see in the pic can be easily shared by 4-6 people. Definitely recommend and I will be back when I am in Atlanta!
MoreThe food was excellent! The Plato deal Mar was amazing. The Ceviche had too much lime in it. The Watermelon margarita tasted delicious. The waitstaff was attentive and courteous. One of my favorite TexMex spots!
MoreOf course the food is delicious. Unfortunately they are missing some items that I have grown accustomed to over the years and I longer have.No to mention the were entirely out of shrimp when we went on a Saturday at 3:00.The waiter was courteous and always there to help. The key is to get there or at Papadeaux for an early lunch/dinner so your wait time is not so long.
MoreAwesome bartender awesome food. Definitely will be going back. Everything was on point. The meats were fully cooked and to our liking. The drinks were all great. All that’s not mentioned to caramelized onions how they were popping that was honestly the highlight of my whole plate was the fact that the onions were done perfectly. Clearly it’s all that I love I didn’t split overall great place and will be going back.
MoreGreat experience. We brought a group of 40+ and they seated us within 15 minutes. While having so many orders did lead to a little bit of confusion, the waiters were so cheerful and apologetic and served everything up well. In regard to the food, the rice and beans were nothing special, and the sopapillas just tasted like sugar and grease, but the quail was to die for and the best deal ever was the Family fajita platter. It really was a nice afternoon.
MoreAs always...great drinks, excellent food, and good service! Thats it! Thats the review! Just go already...they wont disappoint! There could be a long wait...just wait!Make a reservation! Drop someone at the door to get a table while you park (always packed for parking)! Eat on the patio, inside or at the bar! Who cares...just go!!!
MoreGood food. Service has gone way downhill recently. I have been coming here for many years and the past two times I have come, I have disliked it more and more. I think Im going to not come back. The hostess up front has an attitude and even told me that they dont take Google Waitlists for a table. Im not sure why its on their website and Google Maps if they dont take it. The servers have also forgotten my food and drinks multiple times and I even had to have my entire meal comped one time I visited because the service was so poor. I would definitely stay away from this restaurant and choose something else if youre in the area. The food is good, but its not worth dealing with the rude employees.
MoreCame here to celebrate a birthday, we had reservations and were asked to move from the inside and wait outside while the manager agreed. Shortly after another family came in and they were allowed to stay in the same area we were asked to move from. We waited for about 30 minutes for our table to be ready. The manager appears to not know how to correct the staff. The menus were disgusting and had not been wiped down for a while. The only good side was that Conor our waiter showed exceptional service. It seems to be that the patio is the designated space for African Americans at this establishment. I wouldnt recommend. Youd get better service at Waffle House.
MoreService okay, we waited about 2 hours before we were seated. The food was delicious but we were told about an one hour 15 minutes wait. We were seated in a dark area very disappointing due to we arrived around 2ish. Only reason given 4 stars because management was kind. We didnt get good pictures because we were seated in a dark place.🙄
MoreId give Pappasitos 5-stars except the wait times are terrible and service can be slow. However, on my last visit the service was quick and friendly, but it did take an hour to get seated. The food here is delicious. Steak is cooked properly, tender, and tasty. Tender and juicy chicken, the shrimp brochette is stellar, good guac and queso. Its spendy, but the portions and quality are in line with the price.
MoreGreat food! Great service. Fast and efficient service at the bar. We ordered the Del Mar lunch plate and the San Juan dinner plate. Brochette shrimp and steak were cooked perfectly on the Del Mar. Ribs and brochette shrimp on the San Juan were also very good. The only reason for 4 stars is that the restaurant is very expensive. Just something to keep in mind.
MoreWe ordered chicken fajita nachos for take out and we only received like 2 tortillas cut in 4 with beans, cheese and chicken on top of it. Guacamole and sour cream on the side. $18 dollars for just that??? The fajitas were no where to be found. Never again will I order take out
MoreSo disappointed in Pappasito’s. They truly can’t handle pick-up orders with a crowd. Drove for hours to pick up dinner from here and spent over $90 on stale food. The meal that really stood out was the chicken fajitas - COVERED IN BUTTER, no sautéed onions, no pico and it came with EXTRA BUTTER.I complained about this to management and they are refusing to return my money! A measly $25 gift card won’t do a thing - it doesn’t even cover the cost of the disgusting, drenched “fajitas.” Completely disrespectful. To be honest, Taco Bell would’ve been better, consistent and much cheaper. Skip!
MoreFinally a real Mexican restaurant! No tacos and real food.I was happy they had skinny mojitos. They have an extensive menu. From meat, seafood, and even vegetarian options. The portions are huge. Each entree could be for two.I ordered the chicken salad because it was a late dinner. Huge slices of avocado, really good dressing and a whole breast of chicken. My friend ordered the pork spare ribs, which he said was surprisingly soft and delicious. And this is a guy who cooks his own food (Nigerian and Cantonese). Our mutual friend ordered the meat & seafood combo ate like a king.Another friend ordered the shrimp entree and something else I forget.Overall satisfying meal, great ambiance, well worth the 25 minute drive in traffic.
MoreThe service and fajitas were AMAZING!!!! This has easily become one of our favorite restaurants for date night and we would highly recommend it if you’re ever in Atlanta or Texas.
MoreWe came here as a party of 9. It took a bit for them to accommodate our party. Once sat down, our drink orders were taken pretty quickly. Same with our food order. The food did come out pretty quick. The taste of the food overall was good. No complaints from our party overall. Its a nice place to come to.My only complaint would be with their fresh lemonade. The taste of it seems to be overpowering. Feels like it needed more water to taste better.
MoreExtremely Great..So much food, we split the Beef Nachos...I rarely drink but went with their Margarita and it was superb...Our daughter went with the tacos and she claimed that they were some of the best tacos she had ever eaten....We did this trip enroute to the Rolling Stones Concert...So a really great night all around.
MoreGreat, Super Busy on weekends, place to eat. Great Bar experience, lots of room to eat inside or outside. Nice chimney furnaces to help curb the cool air on the Open Patio Deck. Great place to catch up with old friends and family outings. Staff nice and courageous. Very in tuned with the customers needs. Its a must try.
MorePappasito’s Cantina was a perfect experience. It was my first time in and as soon as I walking in the doors it felt as if I walked into the diner from 50 years ago! The atmosphere is super cool and welcoming for sure. The server we had was very Intensive with making sure we had our order correct, as well making sure we always had a new drink right when we finished our glass. The food itself was phenomenal. The pricing is a tad bit higher than most places, but still reasonably priced compared to othersIf you ever happen to pass by, please don’t hesitate to stop in and get some absolutely astonishing food. Next time I’m in the area, I will definitely be back.
MorePappasitos never disappoints! The beef fajitas are the way to go.Service is off and on but the last several times I went it’s been 5 star service. One of my favorite Americanized Mexican restaurants.
MoreThis place was very good. The service was excellent for us and we had a large group so I was very pleased with that. The food was quite good and they had some unique menu options that you don’t see too often. I had the quail fajitas and they were absolutely delicious. Such a unique menu item and so well executed. Margaritas were also tasty. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.
MoreThough the food was timely served and well presented , taste was just good. I have had nice and delicious Mexican food in local authentic restaurants. Atmosphere was up beat which in liked the most. Staff is welcoming and this place is usually busy. They give warm wishes with music on your birthdays and anniversaries.. all n all nice place to celebrate and dine in.
MoreThe atmosphere was very inviting and open. The food was delicious, very satisfying and fresh. Our waitress exceeded our expectations, she checked on us at reasonable times. Our food was delivered with elegance and for the first time the tomatoes and lettuce was on the side. Lol
MoreChips and salsa- YummyDeluxe quac- DeliciousMargarita- Great!I ordered a cheese quesadilla and it was amazing the tortillas are all made home made and you can tell. My husband ordered the beef fajitas and he said they were yummy. Will definitely be returning. Atmosphere is loud up beat vibe. If you want tasty food def give this a try.
