Convivial chain dishing up hearty portions of New Orleans-style seafood, steaks, salads & more.
Overall the food and the service were great; however, I dined 🍽 with my family yesterday and couldnt help but notice how poorly the women manager spoke to her serving staff. It was extremely unprofessional yelling foul language to them. It was disturbing to hear as we ate.
I want to say my order was small. A slice of cheesecake. Their curbside stuff doesnt really work. No one came to see me but I walked inside and the gentleman at the door and his customer service and is willing us to help made up for having to stay in the car for 15 minutes. The gentleman I didnt catch his name but could have made a bad experience into her worst one but he diffuses a situation without It even turning into one
Drinks, and desert were phenomenal! Our dinner was probably one of our worst tasting experiences, especially when you take into account the prices. Will go again just for drinks and desert though.
The fillet mignon was out of this world 10/10 would come back, service was also 10/10.
I ordered a live 4lb Maine lobster, and they brought me a 6lb. They told me that the chef made a mistake, and dispatched a 6lb instead of a 4lb. They asked if this was fine with me, and I said yes because I dont like wasting food. They charged me for a 4lb lobster.
Customer service is a 10/10 🤩 was treated by our server so tremendous and was accommodating to the two toddlers we had with us. I had the lunch special Shrimp Gumbo and salad. The gumbo was delicious!
Great service, great food!!! I had the Tilepia and Lump Crab with seared Shrimp in a butter sauce! The string beans were a little hard for my liking but the food overall was good.
Dinner out with friends. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the crab cake and my grouper was excellent. Tables are a little small. Not enough room for the plates, condiments and bread.
My daughter take me there to have dinner 🥘 for my birthday 🥳 like it great time good everything
Every meal I have had hear has been soooo good! For their appetizers I would recommend the calamari and mozzarella bites. The jumbo shrimp brochette is amazing as well as their filet mignon. Last time I got their shrimp fondue I think it was called which came with some garlic bread and I also got like a shrimp and scallop pasta and I wish I had found that sooner. Would definitely recommend!
Ordered Catfish with redheads and rice..fish nice and crispy, beans and rice were very good. Nikki our server was on top of her game.THUMBS UP!
I love this restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious. My favorite is the Cobb salad with salmon, which at medium rare is divine. The ambiance is perfect for a family dinner, although if your family members are hearing impaired, it can get very loud & difficult to hear. The staff are incredibly professional and friendly. Despite being very busy today, they did a decent job of keeping our drinks filled. The kitchen made my food incorrectly but it was still delicious. I have to say that I was disappointed that they did not try to make it right in some way; that is why this is a 4 star instead of a 5 star review.PS - Please bring back the banana pudding. It was one of our favorites!
Great place to have a family dinner. A little bit busy, slightly loud, but the food is consistent and the wait staff is kind. If you just want to spend a nice Sunday afternoon with family have a drink or two and some great food I would highly suggest this destination.
First time at this restaurant. Food was good, virgin piña colada perfect. I’d definitely recommend the fondeaux as an appetizer. If you don’t eat much then don’t get an appetizer. The food portion is big, expect to pay over $100 for two meals including an appetizer, two dinner plates, drinks and a dessert. Dessert was great too, crème brûlée was perfect. Casual or business casual attire. It is family friendly ish… I saw maybe one kid but I’d say it felt more like an environment for adults.
I had a bad experience a couple days ago. It was fixed quickly by the GM. He was great at handling feedback and I only want the best for their restaurant. Been a customer for my whole life honestly and one bad visit won’t make me stop going after all the awesome times with great service and food. I would recommend the stuffed crab and the shrimp/crawfish foundue it’s amazing with the hot garlic bread! It is on the pricey side but it’s with great service and exceptional food! Good or bad Feedback is everything to keep a restaurant going and growing. Thank you GM for taking great care of the restaurant. He deserves a raise. 👏🏻
The food was very overpriced and looked unappetizing. I ordered a filet mignon and they gave me a plate the size of a toddler for a peice of meat the size of my fist and it was not even garnished at that. It was very undercooked the first time it was served to me and my utensils were covered in grease.
Excellent Cuisine!! expensive but worthy!
Had an amazing 4th of July celebration 🍾 with an outstanding Firework show I shall never forget! Service was A+The waitress was sweet and attentive and gave good recommendations!! 10/10 coming back
Wonderful chicken caesar salad, calamari was tender and delicious! Gina our server was attentive and brought refills and a smile.
Always great dining here. I stopped by here during lunch and found the staff extremely friendly, and literally no wait. I opted for the Seafood Cobb salad with the shrimp and crab. I thouroughly enjoyed!
Took my family of 5 out for lunch and was not disappointed, large portions of food greatly seasoned with amazing flavor. Ordered the grilled shrimp brochettes and it was the most delicious seafood Id ever had. Then had a fudge brownie cake to share with everyone. Staff is super friendly and you can reserve a table ahead of time as well, helpful on holidays or special events.
Amazing dining service!! My first time coming here with my family and all the dishes looked amazing. Our waiter was helpful and patient in helping us with the menu options. Prices were listed decently according to the seafood offered. Best part was the brownie dessert. I would definitely come here again for special occasions!
Being from Maine, I have a high standard for seafood. Pappadeaux was really good. I had a pasta plate with scallop, crab and shrimp. I really enjoyed how the seafood had a bit of a wood grilled flavor. 5 star could have been had if the plate was a bit less expensive or if there was a bit more seafood in the dish.
I took my wife to Pappadeaux for our Anniversary, it wasnt my first choice, but because our first choice gave us no service, we opted to come here. The place was filled, with only a few tables available. Once seated, my wife ordered a Pina colada and I ordered my usual unsweetened tea, we also ordered Calamari for an appetizer. When our server brought the Calamari we then placed our order. First, the Greek salad for two, my wife ordered the tenderloin steak with a baked potato and broccolini. I ordered the blackened Salmon with Shrimp, Scallops, and crawfish. Trying the calamari, it was rubbery and the breading was falling off as we ate it, tho the tomato sauce that came with it was pretty good. Then came the salad which was dressed and served table side. It was a very good salad and I loved the capers and olives. I was looking for the Greek peppers but none were included. After the salad came the massive plates of our entrees. My Salmon looked awesome and was cooked on point, so was the Shrimp and Scallops, and the sauce was absolutely delicious. It paired so wonderfully with the rice. It was called dirty rice but it lacked the traditional chicken livers that made this rice so famous. My wifes steak came with a huge baked potato and a big pile of perfectly cooked broccolini but her steak was way undercooked. I tried to wave a server down to take the steak and recook it, I then went to both arms waving, trying to get a servers attention. One waitress looked at me waving but ignored me, probably because I was not her table. I kept waving, a kitchen manager (I assumewalked by but didnt see me. Luckily a guest two tables down got his attention for me. He then came over to our table, he offered to do a new steak but I knew it would take to long. Instead we put the steak on a small plate so he could cook it again. I shared my plate with my wife so she could continue to enjoy our Anniversary dinner together. When he returned my wifes eyes just beamed with contentment when she saw how cooked it looked. The way to avoid this is, the server should have asked my wife to please cut into the steak, thus ensuring it has been properly cooked before leaving the table, or at least return promptly to check and see if it was cooked to her linking. We also had asked for bread, it arrived halfway through the meal. Our server did do a good job of keeping my tea glass full. The experience started out great but fell short on service and execution during the entree part of it. We did get to choose a free dessert for our Anniversary, that was nice. We opted for the Key Lime pie, we took it to go. Too stuffed to eat another bite. Honestly Folks, I liked my Salmon plate so much, I ordered extra sauce halfway through, and I left my plate completely wiped clean. I used the bread that finally arrived to clean every bit of the sauce on the plate. Feels weird writing about me pigging out, but it is true as true can get. I look forward to my next visit.
The fried catfish filets tasted muddy and were soggy. The 3 piece came with fries all for $23. The cup shrimp gumbo was a very small portion but not worth $12. Over all service was good and everyone had a good time.
The food was delicious and hot. Ordered the fondue. Oh my goodness it was delicious and hot. I ordered the fried shrimp with baked potato with no bacon. The potato was so delicious and piping hot. Just the way I enjoy my food. The shrimps breading was so light. I really enjoyed it. We also ordered a salmon with cheese grits. If you like grits, this dish is definitely a must try. The service was really excellent, our waitress Sarah was attentive. I definitely would go back and try something else. But I would definitely order the fondue again. What I also noticed was the safety issue, it still in place. Which I appreciated very much.
Our 2nd year coming for our anniversary. I’ve tried the crab legs everywhere else from McAllen to SPI and it dosent compare to the King Alaskan Crab from here! It is pricey but it is worth it! The pasta and bread are great as well! Recommend 🙌🏼
Fried Alligator Tail appetizer was outstanding. Absolutely loved the Wild Caught Gulf Grouper with Lump Crab, Shrimp and Spaghetti Squash. Its preparation was spot-on with the perfect amount of spice to compliment each item. It was a bit pricey; but, I would definitely get it again.
I love to visit this restaurant on special occasions. Food is delicious here so far no complain, Pappadeaux oysters are the best!!
The service was good. Friendly staff. We ordered the fried shrimp and fries. The shrimp was good, the fries could have used some seasoning. Pretty pricey as well.
The food was delicious and drinks were on point! The 4lb lobster 🦞 is massive. It comes served over pasta. We had a party of 10. The service was decent but could be better. The empty glasses werent removed and just made more clutter on a busy table.
Ive been here multiple times and it is always a great experience. Amazing food, good service and a nice atmosphere.
Waitress was nice, friendly and very attentive, good customer service. Had the Papadeux platter, was good but was warm as if it had been sitting there for a bit to long. Had the alligator for an appetizer, was delicious with the sauce it was served with. Over all food was good.
Very delicious food a family favorite. A very clean place inside and out. Most of all Nick at this Pharr location was the best , if you go you must request him .
Can’t go wrong with this whole restaurant franchise. I have never been disappointed no matter what city I visit them in. During this visit the staff was exceptional. They were on cue with all requests to the point we were wondering if they were right around the corner just waiting on us to need something. The food was exceptional as well. We ordered a 6lb lobster that we named Henry. Henry came out in several plates due to his size. Henry was enjoyed by all and had plenty of leftovers. Henry will forever be remembered. I definitely recommend and will visit again. Next time maybe Henry Jr. will be available.
Food is always great here, super delicious! The staff was very accommodating. My wife and I arrived at about 2pm, hostess said it would be a 30-40 min wait for table outside... no one was sitting outside so needed a server basically. We went sit down outside to wait and a table was made available before we even sat down. Server didnt see us at first as we sat on other side of fountain... about 10 minutes later he, Adrian, did find us, apologized, and let us know we were getting a dessert on the house. Adrian was super attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service.
Enjoyed my seafood mix skewer and the trout was also really good. Big place with lots of room for large groups and a nice outside patio.
Food was amazingly delicious! Service was excellent!Waiter Adrian was 100! Late lunch at 3 PM was perfect. Not too many peeps. We chose plates on front of menus, were $40 a plate but soooo worth it! Salmon was yummy but the Red Snapper was THE BEST DISH EVER!!! and this comes from someone who loves seafood and eats out a lot! CONGRATS!!
Awesome fried food, even better grilled fish. I’ve never liked dirty rice but this place nails it. The Salmon Alexander plate is to die for!
The service is always friendly and knowledgeable. The food is delicious. The prices match the ambient. A special occasion is when we go . But if your budget alows this would be a very decadent lunch or dinner option...Big hugs to the staff, if any of yall read this .Thank you for a wonderful time ☺️
Omg the food is delicious. We had a lady named Karma as our waitress and she gave us the best service ever. Everything is made from scratch so you do have a bit of waiting for your food but is so worth it. The place is big has enough sitting and the tables are well spaced out to where you dont feel crowded.
We had a private room with 14 chairs, we had a delicious salad, I got very good grill shrimp kabob, and keylime pie for dessert, I wanted the crème brûlée, but it was not on the package that my broker picked 😢 I highly recommend the place, I had a fantastic time.
Staff was super friendly and helpful. Food was great! Alligator 🐊 was good. Drinks were good as well.
As always, the food and the drinks are delicious! Try the salmon and the crab cakes. Everything on their menu is delicious. Dont hesitate to try any new cocktails! Also, the portions are VERY generous, and the service is top-notch.
I have been here several times and the staff is always courteous providing excellent service. Food is always on point. My favorite dish is the Costa Rican Mahi Alexander and they are always consistent with their recipe. Cant leave without getting a slice of key lime pie.
The food and service was perfect. My issue is that it is rather pricey for what I had. I will say that the rest of the family thoroughly enjoyed their meals and found them worth their value. Unfortunately I didnt get a before shot of my meal...
My husband and I had a date night here tonight. We had never been before. Our server, Delone was absolutely AMAZING! When we do go back, because we certainly will I will most definitely be reguesting him to wait on us again. He had a wonderful personality he mapped out the entire menu for us which made it very easy for us to decide what we wanted. He was kind enough to make me a virgen drink because im 9 months pregnant, wont do that so i really enjoyed my non-alcholic pina colda 😆. The atmosphere was very romantic the hostess was super friendly. Honestly there is nothing I can say negative about Pappadeaux. The food was AMAZING. If you are looking for a nice dinner and maybe a few drinks id 100% recommend this place. I will also add that i have 20 years experiences waiting tables i dont do it anymore but if ever I was looking great people to be around in a job type atmosphere id put my application in with this place. Eveybody was working together and in order to run a successful business working together with people that have great attitudes is key. Thank you Pappadeaux employees for making my Husband and I have a wonderful date night. We will be back!!
Food was delicious. Service was a little off that day my nephews corn dog plate took forever. Other than that it was great.
My experience today was nothing short of amazing. Service was impeccable and great. Steak came out a little overcooked but Bella took care of it and saw to it that It was coked to my liking. Thank you Mrs. Bella. I will definitely be back.
A nice place to enjoy your meal with friends, arrived noon, not a lot of people yet, by the time we left, around 2, it was packed. Oyster was so fresh, octopus yummy, and all dishes were great, one of the best seafood restaurants in valley. Definitely we will come back again. You will pay what you get.
