Paper Moon in Istanbul

Best place ever...

Do not go here thinking it will be similar to Paper Moon Milano. The food at this restaurant is average and highly overpriced. The extreme price tag attracts an awkward mix of guests, from business men and socialites to models, influencers and escorts. The only positive thing I can say is that the waiters were all very kind and professional. There are many great Italian restaurants in Istanbul but this isn’t one of them.

Nice balcony dining, and decent pizza

For the brand and the perceived quality of the food is not advertised correctly. Even from a local food restaurant or food truck you can receive a better taste.The dishes were not fresh. Nothing was made freshly, it had no taste.Extremely expensive for the quality of food.The best part we liked and were impressed was the starters that were given in the beginning as a gesture.The decor, ambiance is outdated. The decor is suitable for a beach side but not for the brand that is being advertised.The staff was good, the service was great. We were impressed that the staff knew English so well.Reservations are recommended.Vale is 100 Turkish Liras.Unfortunately, we did not receive what we expected. We both had this restaurant to try on our trip and were extremely dissatisfied.

The worst pizza that I have ever eaten in my life I don’t know how they called them selves and Italian restaurant the prices are so expensive and so not worth it … terrible place

Overpriced for no clear reason

Over priced over charged .. they dumped the food in 10 min .. tasteless no 🧂 .. served the food all together appetizers, pasta, meet !!!! They charged us a cover charge 50 lira per person for nothing and 10% service charge 1/3 of the bell was cover and service charge i will not come again 😡😡😡 5 persons we pay 4500 lira

An Italian restaurant, the place is nice, our orders: Margherita pizza, fettuccine, and very tasty beef ribs. The service is excellent....the price is high.

A pretty nice restaurant. It was pretty good service as well as a good friendly, welcoming atmosphere, though the food was average and quadruple the price it’s worth, and the pizza was washed with butter. I absolutely hated it.

The €30 steak was not a nice cut.

This place is way overrated. The way the market themselves you expect good service. While the environment seemed like a since place to sit and chat, the staff did not seem friendly and the food was just bad. We tried multiple different dishes and all of them were bad. I wouldnt waste time here, there are plenty of other restaurants with much nicer environment and service.

1 star for the ambiance, other one for nice stuff (they have got English speaking waiters). OVERPRICED menu, not to mention water in cup (not even bottledand bread for 120 tl. Caesar salad without chicken?? What it is price for? For the cabbage and sauce? Pizza is okay, have eaten better. Overall we were expecting better quality of food for their prices. But it is not about food there, it is about its status and type of people, high class clientele, and yes nice restaurant for business meetings, but not to enjoy delicious food.

Good thing first: very friendly staff all around. None of them english speaking though which led to some confusion. This is normal for Turkey and doesnt affect the rating.Food on the other hand is below average. For an establishment like this, asking VERY high prices for food not to mention wine, I expect a much higher level of cooking. 1 star for the food and an extra star for the nice ambiance.

Well we tried this restaurant for the first time due to its popularity but actually the taste was away from our expectations...especially the pizza was quite salty that made us sleepless till the morningWe travel abroad quite alot and we try to visit mostly the best restaurants in town but this restaurant was definitely didnt meet our expectations although its quite over priced.Sorry

Food is good as usual... Service lacking... Service staff in the nonsmoking area are running like headless chickens with no efficiency... No Hello or even a glass of water in the initial 10 minutes... Another 15 for the wine to arrive which we reminded twice... Could not coordinate the plates coming out of the kitchen; starters and main dishes for kids coming at the same time... Almost had to get up a few times to get water.At the end, waited a ridiculous amount of time for the bill to come, then for the invoice and change... All in all; either Wednesdays are the day which most staff take their weekly break or they lost most of the old service staff... Did not care much for the bill for the past 20 years I have been going there to eat but when service is so poor you start to notice...I would say if you care about getting good service dont choose Paper Moon...

Waiters were rude. Trying to upsell me to the more expensive dishes. Money and prices are not what motivate me to order any dishes. Good was ok but not great. Wouldnt recommend this to anyone. There are far better restaurants in this city.

poor service...bad food...I returned my dish as veal was very dry...they recommended I try another plate...when I got my bill they charged me for the bad dish I received in beginning

Formal Italian restaurant and environment of restaurant and terrace area are gorgeous enough. Food are also very tasty. Price is little bit expensive but it meets with the wording of pay for performance.

Probably the best elegant Italian restaurant in Istanbul. Start at the bar. Old fashioned honest cocktail making.

It was a quite annoying when we called to make a reservation and they told us there was no room, but when we went in person there were at least 50% of the restaurant empty. Needless to say, we were seated within seconds. The food was good, especially the beef cappuccino, but the risotto and tenderloin were nothing to rave about. The decor, ambiance, and service were all excellent. I’d give it a 3.5 star if I could. Very posh restaurant, but the food was so so. Perhaps we just didn’t order their signature dishes.

Staff and waiters are not worthy of the price they are asking. Food is good but not excellent. Unfortunately this is one of the few good places in etiler and we have no other option.

Carpaccio was real good however can’t tell the same thing for Ossobuco, just average. Paper moon is like a legend among Turkish so-called gourmet crowd, not because of the taste (which is usually very goodbut because of the high society clientele and famous people.

This is a very old and classy restaurant that has been located inside Akmerkez. Its an Italian restaurant and all of the food was pretty tatsy. We ordered a few different types of pizzas which were all good. The meat schnitzel (milanesewas really really good. Their lasagna was also good. Food wise, you will have a good experience. However it is a really expensive place. The average age was also quite high, there were lots of old people. So its maybe better for a family or business dinner. Definitely not a casual place. The staff was friendly and attentive.
