Panuchos - Mexican restaurant in San Juan, Puerto Rico
After sitting for about 10mins no service or water nothing. Someone else enter the restaurant sat down and receive service promptly and got a drink. They must have been regulars we decided to leave after that!!!
Awesome spot for tacos on Calle Loiza. A great selection of flavored margaritas, the food is always great and youll certainly leave full. Its fairly busy every time I go, but understandingly
My server was amazing and thats the only reason why I gave it a 2 stars. The tacos were bad omg. A soggy flavorless mess. The margarita was subpar and the only slightly redeeming thing were the churros. I have a passion for food and it sucks when restaurants serve food this bad.
Cute, artsy atmosphere that is completed by photographs of chihuahuas. We ordered the elote, chicken burrito, and steak fajitas. The house margarita did not disappoint, either! The servers are very attentive & speak Spanish and/or English.
Great little Mexican place. I got a torta and my wife got tacos Al pastor and we both enjoyed our food. Servers were really nice and Spanish was not required!
Servers are great, premium margaritas are amazing especially the watermelon. Duck quesadilla were good, the burrito was hella good and their fries are good as hell!
Awesome mexican place. Great ambiance, the elotes were incredible and the burrito with carne al pastor was the best Ive had in a long time! Fried cheese cake was very good also..
Service and food were phenomenal. That lamb burrito will take care of any hunger you bring.
We were told about this place from a local here in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. She said that the Margaritas hit on another level and she was definitely on point. Ive had many Margaritas and I loved the Watermelon Margaritas. My son loved his Mago Margarita as well. You cant beat $5 for the fresh flavor. The food was amazing as well. I dont think youll be disappointed by anything you order here.
The atmosphere was fantastic, but I didnt really enjoy the flavors of anything I ordered. Im sure theres other fantastic items on the menu I didnt try. But I dont think Ill come back.
Delicious food and drinks. Quick and friendly service. Relax and pristine environment.
Horrible. Keep walking! My grilled fish tacos had no flavor, were under cooked and they had the nerve to put sour cream on top that was the same white color as the unseasoned fish. Also how do you offer someone bitter lime juice - call it lemonade and then charge them $5. Also they charged me $10 for chips and queso - the queso literally was white cheese melted down in a little skillet. I hope that I can upload photos to show you just how bad it was 🤮
Churros y margaritas! They make most of their juices fresh which added an extra special taste to the marg. Friendly and very helpful service, too
The shrimp tacos were delicious. The rice was a bit stale and not enjoyable. Server seemed like she was winging and really did not know the drink menu
Expensive over $50 for two sodas 3 tacos and a burrito. Food was just okay and the food was soggy/wet with too much sauce etc.
1. Hmmmm… Tiny toilet. Please make it ADA Complaint.2. Corn / avacado chips - just ok3. Burnt chicken fajita …4. Shrimp taco …
The food was great. Staff is very polite and helpful. Great experience!
Best loaded nachos I’ve ever had and with $5 margs!!
Had the Cordero burrito, it was good. The jalapeño margarita is not made with with pieces of the jalapeño but their house made sauce. Would have been nice of not for the strong taste of plastic (I asked and the margarita mix they serve it from a water gallon- I understand it’s easier to serve since you don’t have to mix all the components but the taste off the plastic gallon stayed behind. Would recommend to use another type of container of just serve from scratch! Part of the experience)
Very good Al pastor tacos, pork was very juicy and well seasoned, I had them with a lot of the jalapeño sauce that is provided on the tables. Very attentive staff and cheap margaritas with many different flavor options
Whole team is super attentive and have fast service - Definitely recommend the $25 bottle of margaritas and you get to keep the bottle - the manager Enwil was amazing from start to finish. Ive been here twice and both times were A++++ Thank you Enwil & Panuchos P.S. The bowls are ah-mazinnnngggggg !!
Nice comfy place, excellent service and located at Loiza Street. Went here with some friends we loved the food and went hanging out after eating here. Food presentation was so appetizing and colorful. Some reviews talk about high prices, yeah there are places where you get tacos at pastor for $9 compared to $13 but the ambience, food, service and location makes it up for it. Prices are between the line of fair and pricey.
Great food. Wonderfull staff. All Mexican dishes here are fantastic. The ceviche with tostones is just of the charts amazing. The best Ive ever had. The atmosphere is great. Their is a complete bar with everything you would ask for. The margaritas here are to absolutely to die for. This place a is moderately priced. This place also takes care of all your needs and wants. Thank you!!!!
We stopped by for lunch on our way to the airport. The place was smaller than we expected, but the decor provided warmth and character. They serve excellent margaritas M-Th for $5. The restaurant wasnt busy while we were there, yet the food took over 20 minutes. The result was a generous portion size and a yummy meal. I wish that I wouldve split my chilaquiles with my husband.
Small, but cozy. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The drinks were very good, their margaritas are amazing. The food was tasteful, well done, with delicious ingredients.
This place is so underrated! We got the duck quesadilla and fish tacos. Both were so good. Would def recommend!!!
Great customer service, that’s why I gave it a 2 and not a 1. I ordered a veggie quesadilla that got me so sick that I don’t think I will ever eat in a Mexican restaurant again. Please make sure that you cook the vegetables on a different pan, people actually get sick when you’re a vegetarian!
Was not good at all when I brought it to the manager attention and even suggested discounting the order bc it did not taste good at all. The very bad customer service of the manager was like no. I can give you a to go box. I said no the food is making me feel nauseous. I would not recommend at all. A waste of $60 for me. And a bad enough experience for me to write the review.
You can tell by the details that they really care about how they cook the food. Love it
Very good! My wife and I loved this place! The prices were reasonable and the portions were perfect! We loved the tacos, burritos, and the fajitas! If youre looking for more if a Mexican style food, this is your place!
This is the first time I give one star review. I ordered takeout for a fish taco and a duck quesadilla. They told me to come and pick up in 25 mins. I got there, only the taco was ready. I waited for another 30 minutes, when they told me they ran out of duck. Then it took another 15 mins to cook the quesadilla. And after all that 45 minutes, my fish taco is all cold. I feel my time was not respected at all and the pickup order was very badly planned. I don’t understand why someone came after me got to have his orders ready first. As for food, I would say the fish in fish taco was tiny while the sauce was huge. No I would not come back again even though they gave me a free coke for apology.
Margaritas are great especially the Guava one ! We tried the the Queso Fresco for the first time and really loved it. Veggie Burrito was also good.
The food was very good 👍. Very nice and casual restaurant.
Comfy and cozy place thats been around Calle Loiza for 10 years. Very good Mexican food with twists or more classic. Owners are not Mexican, but still one of the best taco joints around. Their margaritas are great and made with natural watermelon, cucumber, beet or juice of your choice. Service is always great, ✨🌟🧿
The tacos are delicious. The decor and vibe is chill and welcoming. We were sat down immediately without needing a reservation. We got the slow cooked tacos. The prices are fair. My only issue is the service. We waited 40 minutes for our food and I had to keep asking for water while I waited for the food. The excuse is that they had a huge party; so maybe ask what the wait time for food is. Its a great place to eat if you are not in rush.
After seeing the pictures and the menu, I decided to by some tacos!! Sadly they where not as I expected! One picture says more than what I can say!! These are the Al Pastor Tacos!!
As a Mexican, I wouldn’t go back to this restaurant. The food was ok and the service was mediocre. I wonder if the Mexican owner is aware of the food their employees are serving and the apathetic service they offer.
Covid-compliant! Entrance is regulated by nice bouncer that only allows preset number of people in. Masks and distancing are observed. Customers can take masks off when eating, because tables are socially distanced. I had the Tacos al Pastor, for $10 bucks you get three tasty, full, juicy tacos. So, the place was not as full as it was before Covid, but all tables were full, so people still love to eat here. Bonus: they posted their menu outside, so you can decide what you want before entering!!
Great local spot. Good ambiance, hipster & trendy. Welcoming environment & wait staff attentive. Prices are very reasonable. Margaritas, delicious. Queso fundido was the best I’ve had, but I did mix in both hot sauces. The hot sauce looked house made & was a great addition to my meal. Carnitas tacos were outstanding. Shrimp tacos were good, but not amazing. Definitely a good choice for a low key dinner at a great price.
The food is very delicious... The waitress and they spoke English.
Really good food. I got the rice bowl with pork, really good flavors. Girls got shrimp tacos that they raved about. Shredded chicken tacos were good too!
Stopped there because we saw that Coronitas were on sale for $1. Service was quick and atmosphere was relaxed. We only had drinks so cant comment on the food.
Foods were good, and like the designs of the place. They have margaritas with different flavorsRecommend the place.
Pretty good place, fun upbeat atmosphere with good food and service. I tried the enchiladas, a little different than what Im used to back home. They put the sauce on top instead of drenching it, so its a little dry. But the sauce is homemade and its yummy! Its loaded with toppings and the meat is good. The service was a bit slow, our server kept forgetting us but it appeared everybody else was getting good service.
Fresh squeezed beet juice and lime margaritas @panuchos and the best soft tacos ever! Its the only place we found that gives you a choice of shredded chicken or lamb tacos. The service is awesome and the atmosphere has an upbeat casual vibe and everything on the menu is delicious! Great place for a super fun date night 😉🤩 by @lovetravelduo on InstagramRating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟#tacos #writer #review #restaurant #fun #margarita #tequila #lovetravelduo #food #discoverpuertorico #travel #bar #instafollow #instafood #instalike #instagood #instafun #juice #lime
Visiting Puerto Rico for the first time. The food here was amazing! I ordered the enchiladas and they had a really tasty sauce! The cheese dip was to die for!!! If I ever come back I am definitely making a stop here!!
Nice interior, tasty mexican food, pretty spicy. $57 for two with dessert and beer.
Great food and good prices, it gets packed do you have to wait to be seated.
Great Mexican food in a nicely decorated restaurant. I enjoyed the enchiladas, and the tostones were really good as well. The pineapple habanero sauce is magical too
Margarita Happy Hour sucks; the sour mix damages the drink also the Jose Cuervo Tequila. Food is awesome and delicious!
