Il posto è affascinante. Peccato che sia trascurato un po come tutta la zona circostante. Se il castello fosse negli Stati Uniti sarebbe messo a nuovo e sfruttato come punto di interesse e diventerebbe una fonte di ricavi. Purtroppo qui è abbandonato.

Θα μπορουσε να ειναι πολυ εντυπωσιακο Καστρο αν δεν ηταν τοσο μα τοσο παραμελημενο και βρωμικο.Δεν θα συνιστουσα βραδινη επισκεψη.Ο χωρος φαινεται να χρησιμοποιηται απο διαφορους τυπους σκοτεινων ανθρωπων και γενικα ειναι πολυ κακοφημο σημειο συμφωνα με ντοπιους παντα.

Πανέμορφο καατρο πλούσιο σε καμάρες. Ήταν ανοιχτό αλλά παρατημένο. Κακώς τέτοιο κόσμημα να βρίσκεται στην τύχη του. Στο κορυφή δεσπόζει ένα μικρό εκκλησάκι.

An abandoned Venetian castle with many rooms and fine views over to Levkada.The main entrance is inaccessible but walk round to the left and you will see a small archway to enter by.

The castle is huge, with many levels and walls, spanning all the way into the sea. Sadly, its abandoned and rotting. Take extra caution when exploring around. You can enter the castle from a small entrance on the left. It’s really worth it.

The place and view were amazing. But what is sad is the fact that none of the castles and fortresses of Preveza are preserved well enough to be visitable. What you can see are the exterior walls which are admirable but thats all.

Ντρέπομαι ειλικρινά με το πόσο παρατημένα είναι αυτά τα αξιοθέατα. Μιλάμε για ένα κάστρο ιστορικής σημασίας, χτισμένο σε εξαιρετική τοποθεσία το οποίο έχει απλά αφεθεί στη μοίρα του. Ταμπέλα δεν υπάρχει ούτε για δείγμα, οι δύο παραλίες δίπλα στο Κάστρο θυμίζουν πιο πολύ σκουπιδότοπο ενώ είναι και επικίνδυνες μιας και υπάρχουν παντού σπασμένα γυαλιά. Το δε κάστρο δεν είναι ιδιαίτερα προσβάσιμο, υπάρχουν παντού αγριόχορτα και σκουπίδια. Απλά θλιβερό αν σκεφτεί κανείς το πώς αναδεικνύονται ανάλογα (και συνήθως λιγότερο σημαντικάαξιοθέατα στο εξωτερικό.

The ruins of the old castle of Preveza with perfect panoramic view of the area as well as seaview from the top of it. The entrance is free of charge, however the castle can be more beautiful and impressive if the necessary maintenance is performed.

The view is beautiful, but the structure itself hasnt been taken care of and preserved leading to many people vandalising it and leaving this historic monument go to waste

Ενα εγκαταλειμμένο κάστρο 1 χιλιόμετρο απο την πόλη της Πρέβεζας.Χτίστηκε από τον Αλή Πασά με την βοήθεια των Γάλλων ,όπου ήθελαν να ελέγχουν την ναυσιπλοΪα της περιοχής.Σε μεταγενέστερες εποχές ,χρησιμοποιήθηκε από τις κυβερνήσεις σαν φυλακή.Υπάρχουν παντού χορτάρια ,ακαθαρσίες και πολλά graffities(κρίμα η κοινότητα θα έπρεπε να το έχει πιο περιποιημένο).

A long, hot walk to get there, incredible views but very sad to see the castle in such a decrepit and un-loved state. Worth a visit if youre in Preveza, but DRIVE there for a quick look.

Walking to the end where you can walk no more you see the remnants of a castle that must have been magnificent in the days of the Venetians defending their conquered bounty. Unfortunately it’s far from the splendour it once was. Worth the walk.

Visit it because I always castles magnetize me. Feel up there something of the past.Definitely worth it.

Its free to visit, has a nice view from the top and its a great place to take pictures. Kinda creepy looking on some spots though and maintainance is needed.

Interesting fortress, unfortunately not really visitor friendly. No information tables or something... But nice views and free entrance... 😀

You can enter for free. walking along the outer wall gives you an incredible beautiful view of the blue ocean. The rooms are empty, but with a little imagination you can guess what it must have been like.

La fortezza è meravigliosa. Peccato che un luogo dalle grandissime potenzialità come questo, sia cosi poco curato. Credo che con una maggiore manutenzione potrebbe rappresentare un interessante meta.
