This was an old coffee house which was well known of its western food and Bomb Alaska dessert. Now its just ordinary main course of some chicken chop and local fried rice and noodle dish. No appetiser, no dessert and no soup. Nothing special. You wont miss out anything even if you dont dine in here.

I go to their restaurant and enjoy my lunch with my family. The restaurant is clean and feel peaceful and the food is delicious (seafood spaghetti, and chicken grill black pepper)

Food is nice. Theres no more hotel services here due to COVID 19.

It is a tradition for my family & i to eat at this restaurant each time we come back to Taiping. However, v sadly, we will NEVER return anymore. The maitre’D was utterly rude and practically asking everyone to leave (perhaps he is overworked). And he did not give any options for us to sit. We asked him very nicely and he told us to arrange our own tables and chairs. We patiently did so only to be told by one of the waiters that we cannot do that and he told us to ask the maitre D again. Seems like they don’t speak to each other and we are like balls caught in the middle. On top of everything else, he didn’t wear a mask and he told us bluntly and rudely that the wait is very long and practically want everyone to leave. It is such an unfortunate incident and while I understand the probably cause is likely overworking but this sort of attitude to polite customers is totally unacceptable. We will never return.

The hotel is nice but at around 1 - 3 am theres loud motorcycle just ramming on the streets

Hotel is acceptable with the price but there no hose for the toilet. Quite suprising for a hotel located in Malaysia for me.

Comfortable to stay for a night but the toilet dont have "paip". Only shower and sink and bathtub.Not really comfortable for typical Malay to wash 😅

Check it was quick and easy. Staff was friendly and nice. room was good at first. Clean and spacious. But some of the furniture seem to be falling apart. When I look up in the wash room there was quite a bit mounds growing. You decide if such place is ok for you.

Shows its age. Light refurbishment done. Housekeeping can be better.The reason why we stay here is the great cafe downstairs. Food is lovely and affordable!Nostalgia for me is another reason why I like this hotel. Might not suit everyone but it works for me.

Cheap cafe eats. Chicken chop is fantastic here and is on par with the famed Yut Sun. The crew is very young but always serve you with a smile. Used to serve beer but in order to be more appealing to people of all faiths they have stopped doing so which is not a deal breaker for sure. It has an old Taiping ambience which you you rarely find anywhere else. Highly highly recommended if visiting Taiping.

average food , though cheaper than normal restaurant but i dun think the food dun worth it, the only thing i like is jumbo fruit juice which cost about rm8

1Room :very old, a bit dusty, people here is kind and good service.2Food : OMG.......... So terrible........ Even though the chicken chop, not fresh and sos taste not nice. And very slow service here......... Only the fried rice and ice cream can try, other than that... Hahahahah, speechless. :)

Love the ambience. The price is considerably cheap for a hotel. Hence its always crowded.

Bed ok comfortable except the hotel out dated n only 2 plugs under table 1 unable to use. Only the toilet has been upgraded.

The place was very busy when we got there the food is very tasty and they are famous for the fried rice. The ice cream sundae dessert at the end was big enough to feed the whole family

Room condition is quite ok but unfortunately its to basic , no hot water kettle (mean no coffee teahow ever hot water flask will be delivered very quickly upon request , no mini bar, no tissue paper (beside toilet paperWe were given room without any view. Staff are friendly and helpful !

Had a good stay here..the room was very spacious..the hotel provides bottled water, cups, basic toiletries,towel and hangers.. free underground parking is available..need to climb up the stairs from the parking to the lobby...lift is available from the lobby to the rooms... However, the management can upgrade their tv...

It looks old from the outside. However, the room is very nice. Spacious and clean. Near the city attractions. Definitely worth the price.

Decent and comfortable place to stay. Situated in the middle of all the landmark which make us convenient to travel.The rooms are clean and the staff here are very friendly.Must try the cafe food. The food is beyond words for the price we paid. Delicious.

Its very old to me as a millenial but affordable hotel rooms. Room is well maintained.

The hotel is situated at the heart of the town. You can walk to taiping mall and the famous food court. The lobby is small but still nice. The reception is friendly and easy to check in. This hotel has lift. I book two room for 2 single bed and i have to compliment the hotel for being considerate as they give us rooms that has connected door without i request it. The toilet ia clean and seem like just renovated. The room is spacious but no fridge and jug keetle. The pillow and bed sheet seem like old but it is clean. Overall, i like it as it is comfortable!

Goes for the food. Quite reasonable price for good moderate serving. Suitable for those who likes mild or authentic flavour as they lightly season the food to maintain its natural taste.

The price is pretty cheap. I stayed in a standart room for RM98 for 1 night stay. Close to Taiping Mall and easy to find food as restaurants and food stalls are nearby.

Ample basement parking. Cafeteria serving local and western food at a very reasonable price.

House delivery was very very poor.Quality and taste is not good.Delivery order was not proper,they did not bring some items.Food cost is very high. "Dont Waste your Money".

Despite being one of the oldest landmark in Taiping, this hotel is still standing strong. Although the hotel has some renovations done, but it could be improved as the toilet is still quite worn out, some old furnishings need to be replaced. However with the rates, you cant expect much of it. We are quite pleased with our stay here, but we dont mind paying more if theres improvements done as suggested as this hotel is very convenient and service offered is very good as well. Please preserve this hotel as we would want to come back for our next stay!

Clean rooms, super clean and dry bathrooms. Walking distance to famous eateries and Taiping Mall. The hotel has a restaurant too. Food is tasty and clean surrounding. Loved it.

Cleanliness is good. But facility is not so good. I have expected at least electric kettle for hot water and some coffee or tea packets. But nothing. Just 2 small bottles mineral water and glass. Overall experience is good. Nice to stay for one night.

Hotel is old but basic clean but has the nostalgic past, as if u walked into a hotel in the 80s.

Been here several occasions always complaint that theres isnt enough electric plugs to charge the phones. only 2 plugs each rooms have if 1 for refrigerator & another for TV theres no more left. Also the WiFi isnt working during our stays. Please improved on it

Located at the heart of Taiping town. Practical and economical and good clean rooms. A superb cafe.

Although Panorama hotel not comparatively with other new hotel in Taiping. But its comfortable, clean and good location for everything.

Stay on Oct 30, 2017. Smooth check in and check out. Front desk staff was friendly.Rooms need better maintenance. Water mark on the wall and around the air cond vent at the ceiling.Free parking.

Best chicken chops in town! Has varieties of Western dishes too. Ice cream!

Its good to be back here and it brings back tonnes of memories. Still the same and the food taste good. Well taste good for me at least. Chicken chop and the local delights like fried noodle are awesome. Milkshake is nice as well.

The building and decoration itself are nice. I rent a room with a double + single bed, the room is spacious and cool enough but the beds arent that comfy. The only sockets available in that room are for fridge and tv. We had to turn them off to charge our devices or use hair straightener. No hot shower either. Others are fine.

Reach there in early morning around 4am, door was locked with bar, the whole place was dark, no ones around, not welcoming at all. Feels creepy.

Hotel is still ok but need some improve.The panorama restaurant have a variety nice food to eat.Must try the Panorama Fried Rice and Fish and Chips
