Panka Peruvian Kitchen in Lapa

So good! 100% recommended! The food is super delicious genuine peruvian. Literally everything was on point. The prices are also very fair. It seems like the neigbourhood thinks the same, as the place was full and we had to wait a little for a table.

Espaço bacana, atendimento ok, comida muito boa. Porém fica a dica: os pratos são bem servidos, se for acompanhado pode dividir com outra pessoa mesmo que seja um prato individual.

DELICIOUS!!!I had never tried an authentic Peruvian ceviche... The presentation, aroma, flavors, decent portion for two... paradise in my mouth.I ordered a ceviche w potatoes and a type of fried rice.The menu has a great variety, service is excelent and everything is super fresh.The restaurant is well located in Lapa, super clean and simple but smart decor.Loved it!!!Thank you.

We were happy to find a place like this in the area. Rice with grilled seafood was delicious, the tenderloin could use some spices or salsa to have more flavor. Overall was a positive experience, which could have turned into a very nice one if our food arrived sooner than one and a half hour after ordering it.

Great food! Convenient Prices

Fui ao Panka por indicação de um amigo e provei o Ceviche clássico. Os ingredientes são de qualidade. O leche de tigre podia estar mais saboroso e menos salgado e acho desnecessário o milho em conserva nesse prato, mas no geral o ceviche estava agradável.O atendimento podia ser um pouco mais simpático, o ambiente é simples mas com uma decoração que remete ao Peru.

Pra quem gosta de provar sabores diferentes este restaurante é uma pérola escondida na região. Entre a Lapa e a Gloria, dois bairros decadentes e não tão seguros no RJ, vale muito a visita se você tiver por perto. O arroz com mariscos é uma delícia. Se tiver achando um pouco caro, peça o prato do dia, vale muito a pena. Os chás da casa são diferentes e deliciosos.

Fantastic. Ceviche was great. With a few different types which I was not familiar with but happy I tried. The anticuchos and causa were also great. The chicha was bang on. These guys should be proud of what they have created.

This is the best Peruvian food I’ve had outside of Peru in my entire life, and I’ve gone through all the Peruvian restaurants in chicago, San Francisco, etc. Good price, good portions, and above all, excellent flavor. Everything was bursting with flavors and spices. Try the causa with ceviche. The ceviche is perfectly tender and the causa is the perfect texture and consistency. It blew me away. Sometimes food will be so impactful that you remember it for years afterward and if you can, you continue to visit that restaurant as much as you can. This is one of those places. I can also recommend the seafood rice (the one with tigers milkand the anticucho. Though it’s the best anticucho I’ve had outside of Peru, it would be a lot better if the pieces were slightly thicker. It’s not supposed to be quite so thin.Service is great too, the food comes out really quickly and the people are very nice. I can also recommend the Cusquenita. It’s like a smoothie with incredible tropical flavors.The area is my only complaint. It’s legitimately scary outside. I would NOT come here on foot, take a cab

A comida de bastante qualidade e de sabor extremamente bom. A gente comeu a Ronda Mixta e serviu de sobra para duas pessoas e experimentar porções meias dos pratos estrela.Visitamos na sexta um pouco antes das 20 e tinha espaço, mas conforme foi passando o tempo foi lotando e ficando mais difícil de ser atendido. Recomendo não chegar tão tarde.Esperamos voltar em breve.

Loved their Peruvian food and the friendly staff. The only thing that I didnt like is that their ceviche lacked flavour, maybe because the used the exact same type of fish in every dish.

Good ceviches, decent chaufa. We tried a third dish that we were not familiar with but it was interesting! Maybe too much potato for my liking.You HAVE to get their pico sours. Super delicious!

Passamos 2 noites no Rio e jantamos ambas as noites aqui. Lugar bem limpo, aconchegante, comida maravilhosa e equipe excelente! Só elogios, se ficássemos mais tempo, jantaríamos todas as outras noites novamente aqui para podermos provar todas as outras opções do cardápio haha

O Panka é uma ótima opção de restaurante peruano na região da Glória/Catete.Estivemos lá em uma segunda à noite sem reserva prévia. Havia mesas disponíveis pra sentar por volta das 19h, mas logo o restaurante ficou razoavelmente cheio.Os garçons são bastante simpáticos e prestativos.Pra beber, tentamos pedir um pisco sour, mas estava em falta. Ficamos na cerveja Cusqueña, uma boa pedida clássica.Pra comer, a entrada foi um ceviche misto com três opções: a clássica segue imbatível, já que as apimentadas não são visualmente atraentes (hahahae podem agradar realmente quem curte pimenta.Pra continuar, arroz de chaufa de frango é bom, mas fica a dica do prato da foto: um feijão branco com frutos do mar saborosamente temperado. Realmente surpreendente!Não experimentamos a sobremesa. Havia duas opções (alfajor peruano e uma outra da qual não me recordo), mas estávamos cheios, visto que as porções são realmente fartas.No fim, o valor da conta pra cada um foi justo.Recomendado!

Visited this place recently for dinner and this is a GEM in the heart of Lapa! It was a little bit difficult to find and the neighborhood is a little concerning, but when I got inside it felt like heaven. It was a trully nurturing experience and both me and my partner enjoyed the food and the drinks. We recommend the potato and meat. The seafood dish felt like a brazilian mexido and was fulfilling. Would definitely recommend to both locals and foreigners.

At the beginning this restaurant was excelente but now its not. The quantity of the food is less and the attention it is not cordial especially by the waitress Daniela.

Very nice Peruvian restaurant. We ate the combo and it is enough for a couple to share. They have chicha morada, which is do difficult to find in Rio! A little noisy and simple decor. We couldnt try the Peruvian alfajor, none left. Would definitely go again. Very honest pricing.

This is a great Peruvian restaurant with excellent service, and fantastic food. We had the sharing platter which was enough for two people and had six different types of seafood. The restaurant also has a fantastic cocktail menu as well. They have Pisco sour, as well as traditional Brazilian cocktails.For the service and quality of food, the prices are very reasonable. Mains start at around 30 reais. This restaurant is highly recommended.
