Panda Express in Rancho Mirage

Had the pleasure of dealing with a young employee named Tomas, he was very professional and had a great attitude and great customer service, the food was good but he made the experience better, hopefully this young man named Tomas gets recognition for his work ethic.

The place was very clean, problems is they had us waiting to long for our food. We asked for a certain item that was already finished, and they asked if we wanted to wait 7 mins for the next round and we said yes. We waiting 27 mins for that item to be ready.

Dined there last night. 20 year customer. I was just informed that I cant have the 1 item with rice and noodles in a plate. Has too be in a bowl all on top of each other.i like mine separate. So therefore I wont be going to that panda express any more.and Ill be sure to tell all my friends the story....😜🤠

Update 2022/08/25:Just an observation. This place must have lousy (or lazymanagement. Several times Ive been here, their ice machine has been down for a long time. More often though, the iced tea dispensers are empty; when I asked a staff member, she looked in the container and said they were out. Duh! Sort of like the time they were out of fortune cookies. Nothing critical but you have to wonder what the manager is actually doing to manage the business.Sorry, but Im going to try another Panda in the area, and I have several to choose from. Im tired of not getting stuff at a place that I am used to at every other Panda across the country.Update 2022/08/19:New employee; small portions. No ice.Update 2022/08/18:Pretty much the same as usual except I was there at lunchtime and it was a lot more busy. There were 4 or 5 people ahead of me waiting for their entre to make it to the serving line because they ran out of their most popular dishes. I ordered Spring Rolls, Kung Pao and Orange Chicken. Unfortunately the Kung Pao only had a few small pieces of meat and were mostly vegetables and a meager serving portion. But it was good anyway. The Orange Chicken pieces were larger than normal but fresh and well cooked. The Spring Rolls were fresh and crispy. This place is still my standby place for a quick meal.Update 2022/06/16:Same as usual. Good, fresh food at 5 pm. Spring rolls were crispy and hot. Fast service during light customer traffic period. Tea was good but ran out as I got a refill to go. Today I got Chow Mein , Kung Pao Chicken, Mushroom Chicken, and spring rolls. Everything was fine and as I was expecting. Server was not stingy with the portions as she was the last time. Definitely Ill be back soon.Definitely one of the better Pandas around. Lots of parking. Clean dining room. The service is very good. The food is average. Today the Orange Chicken (which I gotwas close to being mushy from having sat in the warming counter for a while. The only thing I dont like are the gristles that originated from the factory. The Mushroom Chicken looked sticky and gelatinous. The Green Bean Chicken looked ok but the large slices of onion looked barely cooked. The Kung Pao Chicken (which I gotlooked good and it was very good - - unless you like it VERY red pepper hot, go with something else. I enjoy it being very hot. No gristles in this chicken. Very important: their fresh brewed tea was full. I hate when they dont monitor it and I have to wait for them to brew up a new batch. However, their tea is absolutely one of the best Ive found in any restaurant.Bottom line: Ill go back here again, and if something I want looks like it has been sitting a long time, Ill ask them for a fresh batch. Ive done that before and they are happy and very quick to make me a fresh batch. Very good customer service here that reflects very good management.Update 2/23/22: I just finished dinner there and it was great. Happily, it seemed like their portions were back to their prepandemic generosity. Im stuffed and happy!

Not that great they didnt even have ice for rhe soda

Chicken Teriyaki with no teriyaki sauce. No sauce for cheese ragoons or egg rolls. Thanks for ruining dinner. A little common since would be nice.

They put way to much vegetables in the chow mein.

Giovanny was extremely rude and unprofessional. Worst experience at a panda ever. The food was great and the other staff members were helpful and respectful, but he should be a little kinder to the customers and not give so much attitude.

Always fresh, it would be better at dinner time if all the dishes were ready to be purchased instead of having to wait while your the already boxed choice gets cold.

Absolutely NOT vegan/ vegetarian friendly. Not even a tofu option and everything is just for omnivores. Sad because the concept of fast food Chinese is good. Food is not.

This young lady was really kind, she is not like other girls that leave the plate half empty. She always makes me feel happy to go to spend every time almost fifty dollars . Her name is Jessica and works in Palm Desert, the location between Monterey & Dinah Shore. Thank you Miss Jessica

Went 1/8 around 8pm…Was not a great experience, food had no flavor. The Chow Mein was not fully cooked , noodles were stuck together uncooked . The beef and broccoli was so dry no flavor, Chicken string bean had weird flavor. I have already tried three different locations and Panda is not what is used to be unfortunately, flavor is not the same. We will not eat at any locations anymore. Friendly staff but food very very disappointing, all locations Rancho Mirage, Palm Spring, and Cathedral City.

In sure purchase only & few customers. For that reason, we found the food drier than usual. However, do like chicken breast options.

It was fresh and hot and the staff was very helpful I feel sorry for the mean rude customers they have to deal with on the daily they shud have a tip jar I would contribute !!

The food is good 👍 no complaints 😋 not expensive.

This was the 2 or 3 Pand that I have been to. That didnt have crispy almond chicken. I also noticed that they didnt have a lot of other dishes. Customers like myself are disappointed.

While service was quick, the rice was overcooked to the point of being mushy, but also undercooked to the point of being crunchy. I normally have no complaints about Panda Express, but this experience was just ok.

WOULD NEVER ORDER DELIVERY AGAIN FROM THESE INCOMPETENT PEOPLE, YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD HAVE TAPED SEALED THE FOOD CARTON BEFORE GIVING IT TO THE DELIVERY PERSON. PEOPLE GERMS, COVID ETC, COME ON NOWBUT NO, THEY JUST GAVE IT TO THE DELIVERY PERSON LIKE IT WAS A FAMILY MEMBER OR SOMETHING. THERES SICK PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD AND HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU HEARD OF PEOPLE DIGGING IN YOUR FOOD OR COUGHING?CANT BELIEVE THEY DIDNT SEAL THE CONTAINER OR ATLEAST DOUBLE BAGGED IT THEN SEAL IT. IM CONTACTING THEIR MANAGER AND CORPORATE BECAUSE A CHANGE NEEDS TO BE MADE. EVEN MCDONALDS SEALS THEIR FOOD BETTER THAN PANDA. SERIOUSLY!!!

Food had no flavor and the white rice was undercooked. Staff was nice and thats why i gave them a 2 star.

Its very American-Chinese food and kind of bland chow mein. Good for fast food though, if you want something different. 😋

Went there on 7 /9 around 230 The store not busy got to say Such an unwelcoming experience ! Staff were unfriendly and one member was absolutely rude and for no reason .Will Definitely think twice before I revisit the store

Had to wait a long time for them to cook noodles. Very rude cashier. Didnt get the food I ordered and what I did get was burnt. I wont be going back

Clean, good food, selections were mostly empty and none were being replaced at 5pm.

The service was exceptional with all staff very courteous and prompt. I appreciate that they are observing Covid rules. I feel very safe entering the store for pick up. Thank you!

They forgot my walnut shrimp and to top that off they gave me very little sesame chicken? I am not a child people this is not not kids meal. Your plates are too expensive to be playen these games!

Not a good experience!!no seats to rest on, so when they are out of something, you stand and wait. just veggies was 10 min wait. the other order was cold when I left. the girls serving the food were sweet, tho.

There is no eating inside but you can go inside and order. Only 5 customers at a time. Employees are very nice and the food is good as always. Every time we are in the area we go there to eat.

This panda was terrible service first of all the worker was completely rude and ignored my order so when another employee asked them if they took my order they said no what do you mean. They gave me one small jello like container of teriyaki sauce that supposed to be for three teriyaki bowls i have had too many bad experiences at this one specifically I am never returning

Placed an online order, picked it up and when I got home I discovered I got rice instead of chow mein. So I went back. The receipt clearly said chow mein. How hard is it to get that right? Check your order before leaving.

In and out with a big bag of yummy vittles! Doesnt get any better! Food was awesome, service was awesome and our bellies are happy!

The cashier is wearing gloves to suppose protect their customers from COVID-19 but she is touching money and cards with the same gloves , she is putting your food in a bag . So she is spreading the virus. Omg

not sure whats up with the portion control?? ordered an extra super green large side, went home and opened up to a half full container. duh, the reason i ordered the extra large side is because i liked the greens, but not happy at all when i called and she told me i can go pick up another medium side. Not going because i live 20 mins away. Bad customer service!!!!

Friendly service, clean hot food. Its best to call in your order right now and then go pick it up. Much faster this way.

Always get the firecracker shrimp. Today I got it with zucchini which is not expected or in the menu description. Called to find out what was going on, was told I could I could call an 800 number to lodge a complaint. Then was told they changed the recipe, and just dont order it again. Demanded my money back, as I dont eat zucchini, was told shed have to check to see if they could do that and call me back. Will see how long that takes.

The employees are always kind and caring. Michelle Brenda and Karen always provide excellent customer service. I sometimes have lunch or grab egg rolls and a coconut drink. Resturant is always clean and so are the restrooms. Great employees Keep up the good work.

The grilled teriyaki chicken on brown rice with veggies almost sounds like healthy fast food. But it tastes so good I dont see how thats possible! Definitely my go to place and go to dish.

Best Panda Experience I’ve had! There was a smile on the employees face the whole time, even when she was not serving food. I paid for an entree, but since I had to wait “3 minutes” for part of my meal, she gave me a free drink!

Love the food but ordered online and was missing a whole 3 plate combo had order 2 if the same and they didnt notice but I got a free soda and spring roll for waiting

Came here expecting a normal meal on a normal night, but was met with an unforgettable experience. It wasnt the food - which was great - nor the location, but the incredible service by the staff working this night. We were greeted with a wonderful and sincere welcome and attended with great care. Ashlee in particular was so enthusiastic and treated us with the most positive attitude you rarely ever see in other places, she treated everyone fairly and had a high regard for her team. I definitely recommend stopping by!

Advertise that they are open until 10pm. I went twice in the last two weeks around 9pm and both times the doors are locked and employees gestured that they were closed. Im not sure if the hours have changed or the employees are closing early. Its not a big deal, but it has been a small inconvenience

Good food great prices and friendly staff and clean restaurants, it would be safe to think or say what else could you ask for, right? Well there is something that comes to mind. How about changing the current applied restrictions cooks have to follow regards preparing new batch of food near closing time. In the past 6 of months Ive made a total of 8 trips to Panda Express and only to be told "sorry were out of food". When Ive asked regarding making a fresh batch since it was still early (8:20 pm). She said "NO we cant we close at 9 pm. and it would take about 20 mins to prepare. I guess its better to loose a customer than to pay 1 hour of overtime.

Very pleasant staff and the orange chicken was well prepared. Im not sure why some people dont like the place. We have never had a bad experience at this location.

Been wanting Panda food for several weeks.Finally was able to take time to go to Rancho Mirage location.Super busy of course its Black Friday!2 young ladies were working the food counter, they kept their heads down and seemed utterly miserable. The customer up ahead was tyranting about his service, yet no one seemed interested and no one responded. Where was a manager?These employees looked confused and exhausted.One third of the food choices were empty.My choices, bejing beef, mushroom chicken and chow mein. The chow mein was super dry, most of the noodles had no sauce on them. They looked like cooked spaghetti, plain.The portions super small.The flavor of the bejing beef and mushroom chicken were just ok.There was another employee kind of cleaning the dining room, just meandering slowly.This was not the Panda Ive grown accustomed to. I have been a customer at this location for many years. I will give them another visit, I just hope it will be better, or no more Panda.
