Hot pots & other fiery Sichuan dishes, as well as wine, distinguish this upscale Chinese restaurant.
Its an incredible place to eat with equally fantastic cuisine. It literally doesnt matter what is ordered, its freshly made, fragrant, and delicious. Its "fight your gramgram" levels of good.
The recent negative reviews are bogus. Just as tasty as ever! Big $25 Hot pots are enough for 3 or 4 (or me haha). Traditional Chinese food options. Flavors from different regions of China. They give you a menu with photos of the dishes, but note says the correct prices are on the red menu(without pictures). Its just to be helpful with pictures.Large party of 7, and 5 dishes and 2 apps on the lazy Susan table was more than enough(with leftoversfor everybody to be full. Love this place. Not a regular American Chinese takeout place.
Authentic Chinese food, everything they offer is absolutely delicious!I went a little crazy on the hot and sour soup because of how delicious it is, the staff is so kind and wonderful as well!
Gave me a menu with lower price. Told me the real price until I finished. Ridiculous!
Used to love this place. Different cook? Kung Pao tasted like sweet and sour, and Lo Mein tasted burnt.
Hits the spot, tasty and satisfying traditional Chinese food. On the spicy side, but very balanced and enjoyable.
Flavorful food in a mid-sized buffet. Two families, four kids and everyone found a few favorites. The service was meh, but staff was polite and courteous. The buffet replenishment could have been faster but the good taste made it worth it.
Great authentic Chinese food. I got the Beer Duck and I dont know the name of my nephews soup.
Ive been eating at Panda Cuisine for over 10 years. It is ALWAYS good. Its some of the best, most exotic and interesting food Ive had anywhere. If youre an adventurous eater, Id recommend one of the hot pots. If youre not, they make the best version of your tried and true American Chinese dishes like Sesame and General Tsaos Chicken. Lots of flavor and not sickly sweet like the Orangr Chicken you might get from a chain restaurant.
Amazing! Just moved to the area and hadnt had food this amazing and authentic in a month. Competes with a lot of the places in Seattle. Some of the best food I ever had.
I love this place. The food is amazing. Always hot, fresh and delicious. Always on point. Always. But the reason I didn’t give 5stars is because of the bathroom, (womenI don’t know what’s going on in the men’s bathroom, so I can only speak from my experience about the ladies room, almost every time I come to eat, there’s a toilet out of order or maybe two at the same time. Then the only one that’s working isn’t kept clean. The whole bathroom on a whole isn’t very clean, and I hate that. I feel like a bathroom is the reflection of the kitchen and I pray to God that isn’t the case.Plz get your toilets fixed , you’re a successful restaurant, make sure the bathroom is always clean and smell good. That’s all I want!
The service AND the food were wonderful. We will definitely return.
Hadn’t eaten here in ages. Dined in and the food was phenomenal! Got Chengdu cold noodles (cool and spicy), General Tao’s Tofu and a luscious Bok Choy with Shiitake. Very happy!
Great food. Buffet on weekends is pretty awesome. The food is slightly overpriced tbh, but you cant really ask too much since its Lexington, not San Hose where Asian restaurants are everywhere.
Went here for the first time. Their Peking Duck was cooked to PERFECTION! They separate the meat from the skin and the meat is moist and tender and the skin is crunchy heaven. The wonton soup was exceptional as well. Planning a return trip ASAP!
This is HANDS DOWN the most authentic Chinese restaurant in central Kentucky. Panda specializes in Sichuan dishes, and does them well. My husband and I eat here often, and they never disappoint. They also have standard American style dishes on their menu Id youre not an adventurous eater (but hey, break out of that mold!)...they also have a fabulous weekend buffet featuring their authentic dishes and dim sum.
Pricey but delicious. This place is turning into our favorite restaurant in Lexington.
Came here looking for a buffet on a Tuesday night but only ala cart was available. Food was great. High quality, authentic taste. I will go there again and recommend it.
Some of the best Asian food Ive had in Lexington. Definitely eat here. I like the twice cooked pork, Chinese style. Fantastic
Buffett is only Saturday and Sunday for lunch. I didnt see this anywhere in any reviews so I wanted to put it out there. Looked like a nice place but we didnt stay because we were in the mood to overeat. 🤣Will definitely be back to try this another day!
Best experience Ive had at a Chinese restaurant in over 20 years! Cuisine was prepared in a traditional manner with quality ingredients and served with courtesy and care. I ordered the twice cooked beef and my date had the panda chicken and both dishes were phenomenal. They use a much higher grade of meat than the majority of Chinese restaurants and everything is freshly prepared. Also had a pretty decent offering of beer and liquor. Definitely the Chinese restaurant you want to go to on a date night. Wont be eating anywhere else when Im in the mood for this type of cuisine in the near future.
It worth driving more than one hour to eat such authentic Chinese food! We have eaten here for several times!
This place is amazing. I came for lunch and wasn’t planning on having their lunch buffet. I decided to try it anyway so I could try multiple dishes since I couldn’t decide. They had the most flavorful food of any Chinese restaurant that I have been to. If you’ve been to any other Chinese restaurant in Lexington and enjoyed it, this one will blow your mind. My wife has been to China and said this is the closest to what she experienced there. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
First I got the kung pao chicken spicy with rice and sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. It was $15 a person ! I believe we were supposed to get the combos. Definitely surprised at the price . We received not forks or sauces the kung pao chicken wasn’t spicy and the sweet in sour chicken had pineapples in it. Overall not impressed with a $30 meal
The food was amazing! Very authentic Chinese food! I got the wonton soup, the juicy buns, and red braised pork(红烧肉). Everything was outstanding! Id highly recommend this place.
Just an underwhelming experience, and I’m not one to usually complain about a business but; I have had this place multiple times and they always execute (dine in or to go).But this time was different, I ordered $60 of food and it was all very bland. I asked for beef & vegetable chow mein noodles and they literally came with no noodle or beef. Just slimey, clear liquid with vegetables in it. Secondly they gave me an entire seperate order of just vegetables and beef with sauce on it. No noodle. The beef was rubbery and chewy with little flavor.Lastly, the Sichuan dumplings were a hard, doughy mess.I called back to see what the confusion was about and they said the menu is wrong and confusing? So since they can’t configure a menu, now I’m $60 out of a meal and hungrier than I was before I got this terrible food. Never coming back
Couldn’t find anywhere open on Christmas Eve, then saw the lights on here with a full parking lot and decided to give it a try. We had a great meal with a very courteous waitress. Very good food. Highly recommend Panda Cuisine… we’ll be back soon.
One of the better Chinese places to go food was good freindly service it did smell a little weird almost like bleach and licorice and dead fish would definitely try again
We ate here today based on the reviews that we had read and cannot say enough about how terribly disappointed we were in the quality of the food. The egg rolls and crab wontons were warm and not fresh tasting. The wonton soup was just average. The salt and pepper shrimp was very tasteless and did not have poop vein removed and had to be peeled which took away all the seasoning. The sweet n sour chicken was tough and not very tasty. Just a very bland meal that was WAY too overpriced. We will not be going back …ever! We have traveled extensively and ate some very delicious Chinese food, but this was by far the worst!!! The staff was very friendly and polite though.
Had a great lunch with family. Fantastic Sesame Chicken, great price and exceptional service.
This is as authentic as it gets! The food is out-of-this-world-good and everyone who works here is great. We had Peking Duck, Steamed Pork Dumplings, and Stir Fried Mustard Greens and it served two and then some. I could eat an entire plate of the greens for dinner alone, they were that good! This is real-deal Chinese food. Cooked fresh to order and very authentic. Go for the experience and enjoy it!
The food is always full of flavor and as much spice as you could want. Highly recommend the authentic version of Kung Pao Chicken or anything else their authentic menu... honestly, I havent been able to get off it to try much else!
The food here is not fresh. I got sick after I ate cold dish here. It took me 3 days to recovered from the sickness. I puked a lot and had a serious diarrhea after I ate the food.I ordered my cold dish online. It took me 30 minutes to drive there and get the food. When I was there, they did not put my dish in the fridge to keep it cold. In addition, the chicken is not fresh, as well as the sichuan cold noodle. I do not suggest to order the cold dish there.Bad experience.
i like their food. the owner is friendly and reasonable. i often told them "less oil and salt" and they indeeded reduce the amount of salt and oil as i instructed.
This is, no question, the best Chinese food Ive eaten. It was tasty, tender and far better than they typical Chinese food. Each dish at Panda Cuisine had a unique flavor with spices that made the food delicious. When Im in Lexington again, I will eat here. You should too!
My wife and I came here on a date night and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was excellent and the restaurant was peaceful - granted we went at 6:15 on a Tuesday evening - and the food was fantastic. We started out with sides of won ton soup (herand hot and sour soup (me), and the soup was excellent. We also ordered the crab wontons and they were very hot and fresh, and probably the best I have ever had. For our meals she ordered the General Tsos chicken and I had the Panda Hot Pepper chicken (a bit on the spicy side), both meals with a side of fried rice. The portion sizes were very generous and the Panda Hot Pepper chicken might be one of my favorite meals Ive ever had.The servers were very friendly and prompt. This was probably one of my favorite dining-out experiences, and Panda Cuisine is now near the top of my favorite restaurants list. I very highly recommend them.
This is NOT your typical cookie cutter Chinese restaurant. The food is prepared fresh and you can tell the difference up on your first bite. This is hands down the best Chinese restaurant in town. If youre in the Nicholasville Road area and youre looking for something to eat you should avoid the mall area and try out Panda Cuisine. Youll be back.. again and again and yes.. again.
They have awesome service, Im guessing due to Covid-19 the restaurant doesnt have a whole lot of people eating here in the building which I really like being able to eat in peace so if your looking for a place to eat without the crowds come here. They have delicious food too!! My all time favorite Chinese restaurant 😋
This place is excellent. Total hidden gem. Good value too, but it doesn’t make you feel like you just ate trashy Chinese takeout. It’s good quality. I love it. I can’t eat at spots like Panda Express or PF Chang’s- makes me feel sick. This place makes PF Chang’s and Panda Express look like a joke (because they are). It’s my favorite Chinese restaurant in Lexington. Definitely go here if you want your craving for bomb Asian food satisfied.Forget going to big chain, franchise spots!! Support a local business like this one!
Everything was delicious! The food was so fresh and flavorful. Ive noticed all the bad reviews were from people who ordered your standard American Chinese restaurant fare. Do yourself a favor and order something different. We shared the garlic scallops, the chili crab and the tofu in oyster sauce and all of it was so good. The service was friendly! Well be back!
We went around 2 pm and they never refreshed the buffet. The menu looked a better choice. It was pricey for the buffet.
We ordered takeout online and arrived when we arrived it was 20 minutes past the time we were told to arrive before our food was ready. When we arrived home with the food it was so greasy that they wrapped up the container with saran wrap to keep it from spilling out in the bag.Our panda pork delight was supposed to have veggies in it and there were barely any at all and what there was lacked in quality. Finally when we were eating we found big piece of rubber in our food. Not going to be back.
Weve been looking for a new Chinese restaurant, tried their buffet on a whim, and it was good. A lot of dishes wed never seen, Dim Sum, cold dishes, and a huge menu. Went last night, tried a spicy chicken dish, and it was great. The waiter steered me toward more authentic dishes (my request). The hot pots looked amazing. Ill never go to China, but at least I can try real Chinese food. They have the usual Americanized dishes, too, as well as authentic and pretty authentic ones.
I went here for the first time when my Chinese friend took me to this place. This is one of the or may be the only authentic Chinese places in Lexington. They have a Saturday buffet and the number of dishes is so many. You will have a feast if you are a non-Vegetarian.Also remember that you have a 10% discount if you pay the bill in cash. They have all the Chinese dishes that you would normally get in any fake-American Chinese restaurants except that this one is authentic. Be prepared for a little spiciness. They had Pork ears, loins and a variety of meats. One or two Chicken options were available. Beef was available too. They also had dessert options and some fruits as well.I wouldnt go for buffet if you arent hungry. Go with an empty stomach and get your moneys worth.
This is the best place to get actual Chinese food in the Lexington area and I would argue in all of Kentucky. They have a delicious lunch buffet and so many of the dishes off the menu are absolutely amazing! Overall, I would definitely recommend coming in for lunch or dinner!
Whoever it was that waited on us(actually who DIDNT wait on usseemed offended that we ordered so little she had to ask while making a face.. After that never coming back to our table to give us refills.. The food was definitely different than other Chinese places maybe more authentic? But it was very salty but seemed to be good quality food if you like salty.. And if you like rude waiters its $15 per buffet or $12.95 for fried rice.. At least be friendly for that price..
Great Chinese restaurant and food. The service is amazing and they have different foods on the menu you will not find at your fast food Chinese restaurants. We love this place.
It’s a real deal authentic Chinese food place (really hard to find). They have a “normal lame American” menu - but ask for or use the “specials” menu and you get the real thing.
Not your average Chinese restaurant! Much more authentic and adventurous-- you can get the General Tsos youre used to, but you can also get pig ears and chicken feet and all kinds of fun stuff you havent tried before. Some of the most genuinely friendly servers Ive met. Even after just a couple of visits, youll feel like family. The Sunday lunch buffet is probably the most adventurous buffet that most Kentuckians will ever experience. You have to try this place!
No service at all. Food was cold. I went on Saturday, which is traditional food day. I get that Chinese food is traditionally very separate from western food, but it should still taste good. The sea food smelled awful! I was afraid to eat it. Even the fried rice was hard and bland. And to top it all off, one meal is $15. Just aweful
