Pancake House Mondial - Crêperie in Amsterdam, Netherlands
Really nice service. Very friendly. They spoke English well. They did take into account the specific order we made! The bathroom was very clean. Price is ok considering that it is a tourist place.
Very delicious and clean Restaurants and meals ❤️❤️🤙🏼🤙🏼
Staff speaks english very well. Food was quickly served. Access to wifi. A lot of sitting space and wide range of pancake toppings. Both sweet and salty.
A fresh feeling place to have nice breakfast. The English breakfast ordered was really nice, specially the cripy fried beacon and the fluffy pancake. Ambiance of this eatery was splendid, with nice wall painitings and cleanliness.
Amazing pancakes with a lot of different options, I recommend the Canadian pancakes
Probably the most expensive worst pancake of my life. Avoid this tourist trwp that doesnt even try
I cannot put less then 1 unfortunately. He did not let a pregnant woman to go to the toilet. We also bought a bottle of water 3,5€ just because a pregnant woman asked to go to the toilet. And I continued insisting in the fact about a pregnant girl went to the toilet. Furthermore no receipt for the water. On the other hand, the guy who worked for him was very nice and very sorry. Do not go there!!! He does not reserve your money
We had pancakes, nice but not worth the price!
We ended up leaving. The man man rude to us from the beginingWe tried to understand if there were vegetarian options and the guy didnt offered anything else than a salad on a very rude tone. When we tried to discuss with him he walked away.
Lovely staff. Very good food. I had the cheese and bacon and was good and very big!
Pancakes was perfectly delicious and rich in ingredients 😍 I really recommend it and you can eat it anytime of the day 😉 And not to mention the service was spectacular and professionally friendly 😁
The best pancakes in town! Fresh ingredients like strawberries and banana😍 Very nice place and very good service! Definitely will come back and I surely recommend this place.
It is fairly good, however, I don’t think I will stop here again on my next trip to Amsterdam.
Its an amazing place : great food and great people. The food is very great. The menu is also SO big you will obviously find something you like. The inside decoration is amazing. You definitely can spend hours looking at the wall. Also, the people here are very kind.Thank you for all of that.
Best Sausages ever had outside Ireland. Super yummy! Very friendly waitress , great chef guiseppe, wel b back! Not cheap, but worth it!
I was her in vacationtime. You can get very fresh and yummi smoothies a good Cappuccino und also yummi smale pan cake. For my and my sister was it a nice Breakfast. The man behind the Bar was also funny and frendly! See you in Leipzig/ Germany Thomas
Terrible food and service. Pancake undercooked massively, English breakfast incredibly poor (undercooked mushrooms, rock solid breadBlonde waitress rude along with manager, and not one waiter came over to check on us.There’s hundreds of other places miles better to visit in Amsterdam.
Super good pancake with ham and cheese, with the fluffy, soft dough. I didnt see when I finished it! Staff was friendly and whole place has its own unique atmosphere Im going to come back and try other ones. Definitely worth to visit!
Went here for brunch, attracted by the amazing decor. The staff were friendly and attentive but the food was average, and the cappuccino was more like an espresso in size. Still definitely worth a visit.
It took 20 minutes to be attended after being seated. After waiting for 45 minutes, we told the server we were in a hurry and needed to go within 10 minutes, we were told that we were the next to be served a few minutes later we got the teas we had ordered but not the food (an omelette and two pancakes)... after another 10 minutes and two other tables being served, we decided to leave. We left the money for the teas on the table and got out as the server was too occupied to attend us. He seemed lost with tons of things to do, but at least he seemed to be working. The cook was more interested on her phone than actually cooking. It seemed like no one cared that we were leaving either.
These Grand Marnier ( liquor pancakes were amazing!!
Nice place, clean, warm, decent seating! Cramped as very busy. Quick service and polite English speaking staff. Didnt have to wait mlre than 20mins although being nearly full.
Rather pricey for 1 pancake but it did taste yummy with alcohol on the pancake,
Very cute place covered in Dutch Delft tile-style decor. Good menu of sweet and savory Dutch pancakes but pretty pricey for what it is. Decent espresso drinks. Quick service and could pay by card.
We thought we made a wrong choice because it was virtually empty - which is never a good sign in the middle of the afternoon - and we were too tired to make a decision. Turns out, the pancake was gorgeous! The dough had the right consistency, the right thickness and texture! Still in doubt, I then thought: "is the caramel in the caramel and vanilla ice cream I order really caramel, or the schenkstroop that its available in all the tables?" Nope: it was real caramel, with a great vanilla ice cream on top of that dough... That I could top further with the schenkstroop as well if I wanted to :Nice people too. We liked it!
Excellent pancakes! The staff was nice and professional. The place is full of light and well situated. Youve a huge selection of pancakes, so its worth to go through the list to make sure you find your favourite. You can pay with card which is always a plus
The service was good, and the food was great! Definitely recommend trying his place.
Delicious comfort food in a comfortable setting. Jasmine took very good care of us on each of several visits. Clean surroundings including kitchen. Prices seemed reasonable to me. Recommended if in this wonderful neighborhood.
I heard a lot about the Pancakes from Netherlands offering many many toppings. As we entered the place, you can feel the ambience, its small but vc well kept.We ordered for two savoury and three sweet/ fruit pancakes. The savoury ones were mushroom+ cheese and onion+ cheese. It was quite bland. The one with nutella was great but the credit only goes to nutella and not the pancake. The most disappointing was the one with pineapple and banana. It was served as a normal pancake (not sweetenedwith four pieces of banana and pineapple cut and placed around the pancake. I didnt find it worth the order to receive it. It was disappointing for food. The host and the welcome was good.
Incredible food, great atmosphere and very reasonable prices! Jasmine was the friendliest most energetic and fun charming waitress in all of Amsterdam! Recommend visiting this restaurant, Jasmine will brighten your day and make you feel welcome!
Worst customer service in Amsterdam. Very loud lady with slow assistance. Disappointing food. Food looks like cooked from home. Actually home food is better. I regretted eating here. Now reading the other reviews. I think same arrogant loud waitress who was manning the store served us today- as described by another previous reviewer Bianca Mok. Same rude attitude towards customers.Owner should fire this lady. Such a shame. Wish i had read the reviews before eating here.
Great setting, traditional art style inside, tables outside. Serves breakfast, traditional pancakes, pasta. Get the mini pancake puffs!
This place was expensive for a simple breakfast. Really nothing special. Personally i could do better at home. With a little looking there are better places.Customer service was good though.
Pancake was good. Cook was friendly cant say the same for the waitress we had.
Watched the waitress make a customer cry as she waited for her boyfriend who was in the bathroom.Should have said something while I was there but I just could not believe what was happening right in front of me until the girl ran out crying??Poor girl was trying to reason with the waitress but the waitress was loud and was trying to make her buy MORE food because her boyfriend was "taking so long".Sorry lady but there was more more than enough toilets for the 3 customers in the restaurant??? Please relax. Also, my hot chocolate was average.
This place was terrible. The food actually was decent (coffee not so muchhowever the woman server was absolutely horrific. She was so extremely rude to me and my friends. She makes you feel incredibly uncomfortable and will freak out if you try to use different methods of payments. Her and the guy working were yelling the whole time. Totally uncomfortable dining experience- do not come here. There are way better breakfast places elsewhere.
25 Euro for 1 large banana and Nutella pancake and an American breakfast and juice and a coffee. The coffee was too hot at first (burnt my mouth but I survived). Cozy with fast and friendly service.
Bad service and a bit over prises. The issue with The place is that iT attracts so many tourist. So you would think that being nice to your customers would go a long way .. wrong. Looks like they make enough money so they don’t really care.Big sister hates working in the family business.
Nice place.Outside and inside sitting, pankakes from 6-7 euro, sweet and savoury.Pancakes are nice itself even without ingridients. We liked savoury pineapples, chicken and cheese.Chicken panini was not that cool.Great coffee, very nice hot tea with mint leaves and honey.Clean and clear spo, clean toilets,All cool.Very friendly waitress
No service... Walked in asked the person behind the counter if we could sit anywhere, they said yes. There were 2 other tables occupied, one with food and one without. The person behind the counter continue d to make the food for the table without food, after delivering it to the table he walked past my table (now the only table without foodI waited another 3 minutes without service before walking out of the establishment 8 minutes after sitting down. I did have a look at the menu. Fairly extensive offering of sweet and savory pankakes. The lowest price for a pancake was around €8 with an average at €9,50.
The Spanish lady who served us was extremely angry and rude. An extremely bad attitude. She threw down the the plates in front us and walked away. The lattes we ordered were 90% froth so she clearly needs some barista training. Throughout our breakfast she was mouthing off at the poor man behind the till who had to listen to her.Overall....a very very loud and uncomfortable breakfast. Lots of banging and shouting coming from the staff. No awareness or any standard of food service whatsoever. Not trained in anyway whatsoever in customer service. Just looked like they were there to make money. The food was excellent. The coffee and the staff were very very poor. I would not go back or recommend this pancake house.
Visited at a quiet time in the evening: service was attentive and friendly, and the pancakes were delicious. A little pricy perhaps, but in keeping with the area, and I didnt feel like I was getting a rough deal. Lovely fresh mint tea too!
The pancakes here are okay, nothing mind blowing though. I had the apple and ham one and liked the combination of sweet and savoury.Decor in the store is very cute though. Love the blue and white.
The breakfast was delicious and quick. They have outside seating, but we sat inside by the window and did some people watching while eating. It was delightful.
Pancake was burnt and covered with lots of powdered sugar. Although we were the only ones in the restaurant our order came after 20 minutes in addition the price was 16 euros single pancakes
The food is alright. I had dinner with a friend and We ordered a Hungarian pancake, a Dutch sweet pancake and Dutch pea soup. Not the best pancakes in town but its satisfactory.Regarding the service , I must say it is very poor. There are two staff working as waitress and as a cook. After we told them politely that we are ready to order, a girl just replied to us rudely that she will come in a minute. We asked for an extra bowl to share the soup but they rudely declined it by saying that they dont provide this service and asked us to order an additional bowl of soup. We then decided to order an additional bowl and after a while they told us they dont have Dutch pea soup anymore. My friend forgot to close the door when she went in the restaurant and the staff pointing at her and ordered her to close the door, as if she had committed a sin. This is just ridiculous. This is the worst restaurant that I visited in my 2- week Europe trip. The services in other restaurants in Amsterdam are superb. Am so surprised that this restaurant can still have business with such a poor service and average food but pricey. Our meal costs us euro 40+ for 2 ppl. I wish I read the comments here before going and I definitely do NOT recommend this restaurant.
the staff is cool but its very very expansive for the quality of the pancakes (about 10€!! a real scam of the tourists.you can find better and cheaper than this
The food was simply amazing and the service was fantastic. I was elated with the service and how nice they were. The only reason I didnt rate it higher was the price. A bit too expensive.
The food is really good. Cant say otherwise. But the service from our waitress was disappointingly uncourteous. We were left unattended for quite a while waiting for the rest of our order; 20 minutes after finishing our meal and no ice cream later we went over to the counter where we asked about our dessert. After catching her attention away from her phone, the other two tables took the opportunity to inquire about their own meals or for the bill. Now Im a bit rusty with my Dutch but its enough that I can manage to speak (semifluently and it was terrible to hear the remarks the waitress was making about some Spanish customers in the table next to us because they asked for more napkins. Not only is this extremely unprofessional but it but a damper on an otherwise great meal.Needless to say she was a bit surprised when I told her it wasnt very nice to talk about customers in Dutch. So yeah, overall if you want to go for the food then sure! If you dont mind the possibility of having this waitress then happy trails!
Our hotel in Amsterdam suggested us to go and try this place. We went there hoping to eat the best pancake in the town. However, we ended up being in a horrible place. I could say that the expensive pancakes were kind of acceptable. The restaurant is so small. Therefore the waitress told us to sit next to the door. We sat there knowing that it was a bad idea. Whenever people opened the door, it was as if they threw ice on us. We asked the staff if we could change table, yet they did not allow us. Two minutes after someone else asked to change his table and they allowed him. This is not fair!
