Shaunelia is honestly the best waiter I have met, Nadja helped my 2 year old play while we could catch a break. it was honestly the best Bacon,Avo Feta pizza I had.

Unfortunately our last visit. Two years back an excellent restaurant. Now - Slow poor service, way below standard food... garlic and chilly bowls off. Garlic bubbles, signs of bacterial spoilage. Kiddies ribs, no effort. Bland grey meet (no grill), with terrible sour basting. Chips white, no browning. Not a great experience. As we sat down we were informed of slow service as they had many take away orders. It is Friday, end of the month, get extra staff. Both for the kitchen and the front of house.

They used to make nice pizzas before Corona hit us and I wonder if management has changed, pizza was tasteless and dry. Waste experience, will take a break after this last visit. Was so disappointed.

In comparison with Claremont they must have lost their eggs somwhere. The breakfast pizza was tough and look like only one egg for scramble was used. Good coffee.
First visit to this place and the service and pizza was excellent....we could sit down and enjoy and were still in time for our next appointment 😀
Panarottis Paarl Mall opened in June 2021 under new management. The service has much improved under the new management. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is good and comes out quickly. They are still waiting for their liquor license though so bring your own wine...
Absolutely superb service. Ordered pizza via Mr Delivery (as is the new normaland they didnt have one of our pizzas in stock as it contained a seasonal ingredient. So the restaurant contacted us via Mr delivery to ask what we would prefer instead (where numerous other ventures just supplement you with whatever they argue might be closest). Low and behold when our order arrived we also got a complimentary cooldrink as apology. Awesome service - acknowledgement where its due.
Panarottis service was very very poor .Its been a while now and everytime i dont say nothing also realising by saying nothing ite wont help the business to better what is wrong.We waited 1hour for 2 pizzas. The lady that helped me had to go help in the kitchen with our pizzas. There was 2 waiters and 1 manager and one in the kitchen that was at 5h45 where people was still coming from there houses to come and eat and the place was very busy.I love there pizzas but really there is really a lack of urgency the people work under pressure with little staff.There was no chilis with the normal goodies that you get with the pizza The people that came in for take away orders put in there orders did that left to shopping when they came back they still had to wait for 30 min.Youre guys really need to look at these problems i got a voucher from your guys not sure if I want to use it dont know how I will wait than.On a good note the pizza was delicious.Management take note your loosing customers.
Panarottis Paarl was always a favourite restaurant.We were dissatisfied recently with the service and quality standards.The new staff have not complimented the standards previously set hence the tastes and quality have suffered.The ownership needs to take note that there has been a major drop in standards and service which are turning away loyal customers.There is room for improvement.
Slow and ineffectual! Phone your order in at least 2 days in advance and you can be assured an incorrect order and under-cooked, doughy pizza. The starvation from the 2 preceding days, however, will render it mildly palatable and memorable
Terrible service and unmotivated staff.I ordered online through Uber Eats, keep in mind on Panarottis website they actually give their customers three options for online order (Uber, Mr Delivery and Order in). My first attempt to place my order was through Mr Delivery after which my order failed because Panarottis did not respond in time to take my order. So, I placed my order through Uber, thankfully this went through and according to them my order will be ready for collection at 20h10. I arrived at Panarottis Paarl Mall just after 20h10 and advised them I was here to collect. They saw on their system I ordered through Uber and that payment was already done. Needless to say, my order wasnt ready, it wouldnt be ready for another 30min. I stood there waiting, as it appeared that they havent even started to make my order. The restaurant was empty and it seemed that the kitchen staff had a party in the kitchen, chatting and laughing away. Three different employees, one of them appeared to be the manager, came to ask me what my order was and I had to repeat myself three times, even though this order was placed through Uber and Panarottis should have all the information on their system.After the 35min wait, bear in mind this is after my order was supposed to be ready, I received my food and a "humble apology". This will be the last time I will visit this poorly managed restaurant and advise every one I know to STAY AWAY!
We passed the mall coming from a long road trip. We were starving and thought to stop by at Panarotis. I ordered the chicken mayo pizza. While the wait was an hour long, the pizza was good. Fresh, warm and tasty. The staff were very sweet and friendly. They made recommendations which were very good.
Very bad!!! Glass with my milkshake was still with garlic on it and the waiters seem like they dont want to help customers. Had to wait to be seated and wait very long at a dirty table before somebody came to help.
Didnt sit down, got a takeaway. The 4 pizzas we received tasted great! I prefer Panarottis over certain other big franchise pizzerias.
It was the middle of the day, stood waiting for at least 5 minutes before someone even appeared. Then was ignored by the manager/owner who seemed to have staff shortages in the kitchen. Was eventually seated by the foh hostess who then turned into our waitress because there seemed to be a waiter/waitress shortage as well. She was delightful and probably saved this experience for us. Just a pity I did not get her name. Also the Thursday family special is well worth it.
Went on a Saturday afternoon, when I was about to call for someone to serve me, a staff lady came running from the malls restroom only to announce that the pizza oven is broken. That was disappointing for a well known joint. The least they could do is put up a note for the customers and/or at least have someone to let the customers know immediately to avoid wasting time
The waitress didnt write our order down so she forgot half the stuff and kept coming back to ask. This is a bit annoying. If she wrote it down she wouldnt need to come ask multiple times.I asked for sunnyside up eggs and almost the whole egg was still raw.We asked for our drinks and food to come at the same time, but we were almost done eating by the time our drinks came.Our waitress never came to check up when we were done or to ask if we want something else. We got up and paid at the front reception area. We did some shopping for atleast another hour and when we left the Mall we passed Panarottis and could see our table has not been cleaned and was still as we left it when we got up.
This is the worst managed Panarottis I have ever visited.Waited to be seated without any waiters helping us to get a table. We then asked to be seated and was told by the staff at the till to just sit anywhere.Across our table were two dirty tables that werent cleaned and just left. The vibe in the restaurant werent very inviting with waiters ignoring their duties and the customers.After finishing our drinks we decided to leave and eat at another restaurant. What a shame as I really enjoy Panarottis pizzas and looked forward having a great meal.This is the 3rd time that we went to Panarottis Paarl and walked out without eating.You really need to step up your game as this gives the Panarottis brand a bad name!!
We always enjoy having the Tuesday special at Panarottis, the food was good and quick to arrive, however, the server - whose name is unbeknownst to me - got my order confused and brought me a bacon supreme instead of the saucy chicken and mushroom one. She replaced it but her demeanor was not one of friendly service after that, even though she clearly made the mistake and the restaurant was pretty much empty. I would visit again though.
Called to place an order for the current call and collect special. Got told Zandre/Jeandre that we can only sit down and have the special. Called again after 10 minutes another waiter answered and took the order , estimated time was 20-30minutes. Arrived at the mall within 20 minutes, waited another 20 minutes for the two pizzas. We paid for the pizzas, and the chef had to then call one of the waiters to tell them that the pizzas are ready as no one fetched or checked up if the order was finished. Then got told that they do not have parmesan cheese as an extra with the pizza, the pizzas presentation was dreadful as there were only 4 blocks of feta on 8 slices of pizza. The chicken even tasted a bit raw, we had to then put the pizza in our oven at home. This service is absolutely disgraceful. We regret not ordering at Panarottis Cape Gate as we never have these issues
Me & my husband was in the Mall @pass 10 and decided to eat at Panarottis this morning. There were just one girl and weve ordered our drinks. When the drinks arrived weve ordered our food. We been waiting for more than an hour before the food arrived. My husband ordered chips with his breakfast and have to asked for it. I told her the latte is to strong and she must bring me a juice. And more people arrived. She take the latte back and bring the juice. We were sitting there and we finished our breakfast. I asked her for the bill and she said the system could not ring up the drinks and she charged me for the latte as well. I didnt mind to pay for it, but the service was very poor. Ill rather go to Cape gate for wow services. And she could be more friendly as well. I am also working with guests every day, but this wore one of the bad services we ever had in our life.
Bad service, very slow, waiters argue with each other whos table is whos, waited ages for the pizzas and the mushrooms were still raw.Overall the food was acceptable, but the staff are poorly mannered.
Food = 7 stars. Service = -5 stars.Probably the best pizza you will find in SA (some delicious milkshakes). But sadly some of the worst service... The staff completely ignores you while youre standing there waiting to be directed to your table. When you are lucky enough to be assisted in that regard, you wait ages for a waiter, then another century passes by before your food arrives... Now, if youre willing to suffer the wait and bad service, then I would recommend this place purely for the food.
Worst panarottis, pizza dough still raw. Sub ice cold. The picture below is the sauce of the BQ wings. Absolutely terrible tasting. Wont be going there again
Always great food, but no matter what the owners seem to do, the service remain poor. Receive the second half of your meal when the first half is almost cold. Then have to ask for an appropriate knife for the bread, have to ask for the condiments etc. What a shame really...
I would give them 0 if I could. 4 children and 3 adults, we ordered a waffle each. After 35min I had to to ask whats the hold up. They only have 2 waffle makers is the reply and only 5 waffles has been made. I asked for the kids to get theirs so long. Eventually after 45min all 7 delivered to the table. I asked for the bill and told the manager I want a discount for the long delay.I eventually went to pay as no bill arrived on the 10min we took to eat the waffles. They refused to give a discount. Or should I said the owner refused as they phoned him. He said all Panarottis has only 2 waffle makers and we never get a order for 7 in one go.Strange as there were only 3 tables with people in all of the place and it was dead quiet on a Monday afternoon. You can tell me when its full and multiple tables order a waffle there wont be more than 7 required .I told them I was willing to pay R250 of the R330 bill but seeing that theyre unwilling to do that I will come write this review. Save your money and time, go eat somewhere else and enjoy good customer service because this place is extremely bad.I should actually mention as well that I had to ask for a clean glass as well as they brought a dirty one with the jugs of water.I have used Panarottis for years and will never go back to this branch. Poor service, badbad managem, stingy ownership.0 stars
Going from decent to bad. Service is slow, from being greeted at the door to being seated. After seated it takes about 20 minutes untill a waiter takes your order. Waiters seems inexperienced and unsure of how to deal with customers. Ditto for the manager.Food quality are good and what one expects from Panarottis
If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst service I have ever received from any restaurant! Time and time again. Staff acts as if they do you a favour bringing you food. Ordering to pick up is useless as food is only prepared when you arrive. Only positive is the food is actually still pretty good.
We decided to have pizza on our way from a challenging hike in Tierstelkloof. We decided to stop at Panarottis because its so easy to get to from the N1. We were 4 people and ordered each a pizza. Initially when our order came, the pizza looked q bit small, but turns out the standard was just enough to fill us up. I appreciate our waitress, who served us although it was basically past closing time. Kind
We were at Panarottis yesterday. Terrible service. Ordered a mojito and go two small half brown mint leaves in my drink with no lemons....i requested more and was told there was none....we were made to feel we asking to much and eventually lemons was bought to give us....tables ....was dirty...cutlery was dirty...we ate with our hands.....the manager totally ignored us and looked irritated. One waiter drank red wine behind us while on duty. Another family requested to be seated close to the play area...but were declined cos manager was sitting there but she gave them an excuse about staff walking up and down there...then later commened to the "red wine drinker". Im sorry i will NEVER EVER go there again.
Had a Trainee as waiter. Normally that wouldnt be a problem. But we waited 20 minutes for our drinks. She got a new table with 10 people and they literally got food before all of us. My sister couldnt even eat because we were all done with our meal before her meal came. Total chaos. Extremely disappointed.
As a regular customer to the Zevenwacht mall Panarottis I can honestly say comparing the service level, Paarl mall Panarottis is the worst service I have ever received. Earlier this afternoon we visited the restaurant and firstly our waitress was confused and clearly overwhelmed. This was strange as there were only 4 tables occupied by patrons. Firstly we ordered our drinks and meal, after 25min our drinks arrived (remembered I mentioned 4 tables occupied so what took 25minonly to find the order was messed up. After our waitress returned 2 more times and 15min our drink order was sorted (this is a total of 40min just to get drinks and I say again 4 tables occupiedafter a further 15 min our waitress returns no food in hand but asks if we ordered our food and with which waiter? To our surprise we reorder our food and a further 20min go by till I ask one of the other waiters if our food order has been placed, she goes to check but offers no explanation but walks by us several times till I stop her to ask whats happening? She then says they are starting with your order now! (this is a total of 1 hour and 15min)now at this point we cancel the order ask for the bill a and leave. Please note I believe we were dealing with the Manager at the end when we canceled the food order and I can say the pathetic service climbs the ladder all the way to the top.To all Panarottis lovers save yourselves an agonizing experience and go eat elsewhere!!!May I also add if you go through the reviews posted by others it would seen this pathetic service has been your standard for the past couple of years, now I am so sorry I never checked what the customers were saying before we entered. Lesson learned!
All I can say is - pathetic. Literally the worst restuarant I have been to. On a Thursday evening with the eat as much as you like special they only have 4 waiters and we had to wait 20 minutes before someone came to take the drink order.Further more we wait forever for them to come around with any pizza. I sure as hell wont ever support them again. The only tip this restuarant deserves is "Get a new manager and hire more staff and please give them proper training on how to do their job"
We arrived at 19:00 on Sat evening. The restaurant was not very clean. Floor below our table was sticky. Placemats were also not very clean and a bit sticky. One could immediately see tables that were not clean when we came in so this created a bad impression. Pizzas looked good. Some of us ordered steak. The steak was not bad but the knives were not sharp enough to cut the meat. I would recommend sticking to pizza or pasta at this restaurant. The waitress was friendly but the service was not great. Thank you.
I came here on a Monday.It looked all quiet with one guy greeting me at the front and no other waiters in sight and i thought this might take a while for my food to arrive. I ordered a large pizza and a milkshake. The milkshake took 3 minutes(thumbs upand the pizza took 25min. Not bad! Will be back!
