Pam's Place Restaurant & Bar - Restaurant in Castries, Saint Lucia
Such a cute little spot! They had adorable outdoor seating decorated for the season. The service was exceptional: very attentive, friendly, eager to make our meal experience everything we wanted it to be. The food was the best breakfast Ive had in the area yet. The pumpkin pancakes were probably the best Ive ever had!
Got to be the best breakfast spot I have ever been to! All the food ordered was all around excellent! I would recommend to anyone and the staff is so helpful and kind. A server helped with the sun shade umbrella on my back and she was very kind!
I decided to give this place a try after seeing it packed most weekend mornings.I had the biscuits and gravy and tried the fried zucchini as well. The restaurant offers normal American breakfast options, limited Mexican options, and burgers and sandwiches. You seat yourself, inside or outside. The service was quick once we sat down.Overall the food was your typical diner food. I was not impressed with the biscuits and gravy; however, the zucchini was seasoned and fried well. The price seemed to be the normal range, as we paid about $30 for two to eat.
My husband, father-in-law, daughter and I went to this little spot coming back from Long Beach. The food was good but the service was HORRIBLE. I got a chili cheese burger..the burger had good flavor, but the "chili" was red beans mixed with squished chopped up tomatoes. The food didnt take long, so thats a plus. Like most peoples review, they dont come back, unless flagged down. My FIL & husband ask for more coffee and the woman never brought it until they flagged down under waitress. They seem miserable. I get it, we have our bad days, but youre giving a service not jut serving food. One more thing.. My FIL killed a cockroach. This could be because we were sitting outside, but never have we seen a cockroach while dining outside anywhere else. 2 stars because the food was good.
Great breakfast 😋 delicious biscuits and homemade sausage gravy just like my Grandma use to make!
We had to wait over an hour at our table to be served and then another hour to get food.
Great restaurant! Our food always comes out so quickly and tastes amazing! The employees are so friendly and Pam always takes time out of whatever she’s doing to come say hi.
My mother in law was in town and wanted to go somewhere for breakfast before hitting the road again. She mentioned wanting eggs Benedict so I thought of a few places that were local and decided on Pam’s since it was close and I had been here several times before. We arrived before the Sunday breakfast rush and seated ourselves on the outside patio. We were immediately brought menus and silverware. A server came and took our drink orders rather quickly and brought our drinks. After a few minutes looking over the menu, Pam came to take our order. I asked between 2 items, which one she would choose. She gave me a kind of dumb look and then responded with they were both good. Ok. I went with the Huevos rancheros and MIL got traditional eggs bennedict. The food came out quick and I took one look and was disappointed. The “ranchero sauce” looked like someone dump pace picante sauce on my plate. Then I realized she never asked how I wanted my eggs so they came over easy. I don’t eat runny eggs so I waited for someone to come ask if everything was ok. My mother in law cut into her meal and the poached eggs were over cooked. We should have swapped eggs!Well, nobody ever came to refill our coffee, water or ask how our meal was so I just ate the tortillas with potatoes and the little refried beans I was given. We never saw another server until they brought to bill.I would think Pam would be more cheery, friendly and outgoing if she was serving people but her careless attitude was rather disappointing.I know what NOT to order next time but I sure hope she finds some happiness in her business.
Great food. Good service. Busy but not too busy.
Giving Pams 1 star based on our unfortunate experience with the employees. Wouldnt know.about the food as my friend and i were ignored for half an hour before we hit the road. I am a cafe owner, and to be completely disregarded is totally unacceptable. Let me also say eye contact was made a number of times with the employees. Nice Birthday
Love this place. Its a hidden treasure with yummy food and a great atmosphere! I love the eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy. My husband loves the chilaquiles and kiddos love the pancakes. Always great service and delicious food.
Got takeout based on friends recommendation. Very friendly service and the food was great. Will definitely come back soon.
I have been there since day one.I have enjoyed every minute! One thing I have found and know to be true is, if you have a problem with any one who works at Pam’s or the food or service…… YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.Pam just keep doing what you are doing!
Not sure about the grouch with the one star review. I can probably guess just by the need to identify the server as female. That describes pretty much all of the wait staff. I am just happy that Pam’s usually has enough wait staff given what has been happening the last couple of years. I have no complaints, but I am not one to put unrealistic expectations on these types of dining establishments. If you want Norm’s prices, then go there. You will not have the same quality of ingredients. If you hail from a fancier neighborhood, then temper your snobbishness or stay in your hood. Pam’s is consistent, friendly and staffed by friendly people, including the owner. Pam serves and interacts with guests, which is something I always like to see.
Great little diner, nice hostess, and good portion meals. They have a nice outdoor dining area too, with a nice breeze. Checkout if you’re looking for a good American brunch!
This is no way to run a restaurant! "Pam" and/or her wait staff and likely the kitchen crew treat this like their little coffee klatch. Wait staff and kitchen crew were too busy with their conversations in the back of the restaurant to recognize they had customers. We waited for 30 minutes after menus were dropped off before we saw a (femaleserver. Another twenty minutes and she took our order using a tablet of some sort, hopefully she got the order right and had a record of it. Nearly another thirty minutes went by and finally food was served, short of the complete order! I thought she would be back shortly for the rest of the food, but NO! Even after another server came back with coffee refills and a request to complete the order. My host had to go into the restaurant to get the check and refuse to pay for food that wasnt delivered. Thankfully, Pams did not add that order to the bill.I recommend that if you are a friend of "Pam" please go to visit and chat with her and her friends posing as employees. If you want a nice outdoor breakfast with good food and service, go elsewhere. Nearly any place other than Pams. Next for me is a post on Yelp.
Best breakfast and lunch spot in the area. I havent had a bad meal there yet. The service is great and friendly. The home made preserves are the best!
The chorizo omelette literally tasted like ground canned meat, not good! All the food tasted artificial, eggs from a carton? Service is poor.
Their biscuits and gravy were bland and boring even with the side order of patty sausage I ordered had to be sent back under cooked. They did do a nice job on the hot water for my tea though!
Good location for some good American breakfast. A nice place with friendly staff. This is the sort of restaurant where the know their locals and care about them.My family loves eating here when we eat breakfast out.
Great service, great food 🤙🏼 !
Pams was amazingly delicious 😋This was me first time going to Pams. The service was great the food was really good. 10/10.
Great food and service! The chorizo mixed was delicious.
Pam has an awesome home style restaurant . Very nice crew and the prices are very reasonable. Great weekday specials. Took a few members of my bike club for breakfast and we were all totally impressed
We liked the omelettes, coffee was great and there was many options for sides to go with the omelettesI had gravy and briskets, wow what a treatServers were helpful, efficient and friendly
I was in town for business decided to try this place breakfast was excellent I dont recall the waitress name but she was wonderful when I come to town and Im near by will definitely be stopping by again
Wow! I was really impressed. Delicious breakfast this morning at Pams Place! The home hashbrowns were creamy on the inside and crusty goodness on the outside. The scrambled eggs with chunks of ham were beyond perfect. The biscuits and gravy were just like my grandma used tto make.. I loved the salsa that came with my meal. Huge portions. Excellent service. Nice people work here. The bathroom was clean- the whole place was clean!Eat here for an unforgettable breakfast!
For a girl from the south who didnt know what to expect visiting southern California, this place is a safe haven of down home cooking. Staff is amazingly friendly, the food is fresh, and the atmosphere is welcoming. This place is a little slice of the south Im very glad I found.
Spuds and home fries were my personal favorite. Delicious overall. Very lovely service
I love Pams Place. This quaint little hole in the wall serves up some deliciousness. The staff is so friendly its like eating at a family members house. Cant wait to come back! Thanks Pam!!
Great customer service. They were very attentive and quick with anything I needed. Delicious food. Everything was hot and fresh. The coffee is super good!
I was looking for a new breakfast spot and found this nice restaurant. Food was yummy and plates were big. There is dinning indoor and outdoor. Not the best views (view to a parking lotbut the food and the service are worthy to visit this place. Plates are big and all the staff were very nice, kind and helpful. Restrooms were nice decorated and very clean. I recommend this place and will come back again.
Great place to eat. Always good food. Got used to eating outside and still doing it. Staff is friendly and professional. Pam (the owneris awesome. Takes time to talk to the customers and see that were all happy. Recommend for sure!
Just celebrated my cousin Alicias birthday at Pams Place. We loved the granola blueberry pancakes 🥞 so delicious. Big plate good enough for 2 people unless youre really hungry. Always delicious food and nice service.
Really good breakfast. We ordered our to go meals inside at the register while almost everyone else was sitting outside under the umbrellas. It took about 15 minutes for two orders of corned beef hash and pancakes. Worth the wait and the pricing because it was delicious and fresh. When things open back up, it will be nice to sit inside the cafe. It has booths and tables and lots of interesting western decor.
I have been going to Pams Place for about8 months and it is one of the cleanest friendliest places to eat that I have ever been to. Im a foodie and Breakfast is one of my favorite meals. Its small in size, but big in food choices for breakfast and big like the owners heart. so if you get a chance stop by and try Pams place, you wont be sorry. They have have made it so each booth is separated for coronivirous safety and protection. The owner is a Gem, please say hi to her.
Quite a pleasant surprise. We didnt expect much from the location and we were glad we went in. The strawberry preserves that came with the toast were delicious and unexpected. I had the Popeyes omelette and the portion was hearty and satisfying. Would come back again when in the area and certainly recommend to locals and travelers alike!
I had the granola pancakes. They were amazing!! Chocked full of granola, banana and blueberries. The pancakes were thick but fluffy. They absorbed the syrup, which I had to get more of. My sister got the chocolate chip pancakes. I had a bite, they were also gooey with chocolate chips in them. We definitely will returtn..I will not eat 2 pancakes though, I was so full all day❤😁
Love Pams Place!!! The food is consistently good. I order their bacon, eggs, potatoes, and fresh fruit. I am always impressed by how fresh and yummy their fruit is - delicious! My friends and I tried their Captain Crunch French toast the other day - yum!!! So good!!! My boyfriend usually gets their Eggs Benedict - they use an authentic hollandaise sauce, not the fake stuff that you get at most places. Its a family business and a family atmosphere inside, and I love the decorations/sayings - so cute! Sometimes you have to wait, but its worth the wait. Definitely give them a try!!!
I love Pams place! This is a breakfast location not to be missed. They have a wide variety of options ranging from very health conscious to sugary and sweet splurges. The coffee is delicious! The service is always great. Seems like everyone loves their job.
Great food! I got the french toast combo and everything was cooked so perfectly. There was an issue with the credit card machine so we had to go to an ATM nearby, but staff was very friendly and reimbursed the convenience fee from the ATM.
Had some time to kill before I had to start work. Found this place online, such a hidden. The two girls working were super friendly, on top of service and just an overall joy to be around. I will be making sure I come early everytime I work out in the area just to come back
Good food. I had ham and eggs with a biscuit and gravy. Eggs were very good. Everything else was good. Service was nice, but a bit slow. I saw they had pumpkin pancakes...maybe I will try those next...small and cozy dining area. Overall, a nice experience and I will try this place again.
Great food the Ultimate Granola Pancake is a favorite try one you will not regret it. You are welcome in advance!!
Here to eat some good food and study. Pam is very nice and the eggs benedict are yummy :Ill be back.
Great food. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. The only downside is that the restaurant smells like dog. Directly next to this restaurant is a dog grooming service. Im not sure the constant smell of dog in the restaurant is Pams fault though. I just know for that reason I wont go back. If youre ok with the odor then Id recommend the eggs Benedict.
Excellent Food ,clean place and an outstanding costumer service
Great service, price, food. The blueberry pancakes were delicious!
Weve been here four times for breakfast. All ingredients are fresh. Especially like their homemade sausage patties. Best neighborhood place for breakfast in Orange County. Three generation of friendly servers. Highly recommended.
The ABC Buger was a hit. Juice sloppy good eats all the way around. With chill fries a must and washed it down with a Arnold Palmer that hit its mark..
