Cafe filled with hanging baskets and a offering light interior for simple cafe dishes and cakes.
Palm Vaults London in Forest Lake
Description
We have been coming here for years. Such a nice spot with a really original selection of coffees and teas. The only thing they need to do is get a new extractor fan ! All our clothes smell of fried onions.
MoreThe reason I went to check out this cafe is that it has glowing reviews here. Sadly, it turns out to be only good in paper. Sure the photos of the coffee and pastries look amazing but the place lacks a cafe ambience. It feels like a place where social media influencers go and take photos and then leave. Fair play if that’s your kind of thing... it’s not for me!
MoreChic and nicely decorated cafe, with lots of plants. What’s good about it is their range of specialty lattes which is interesting and pretty because of their colours. I liked my dirty chai and the rose latte was good as well. Staff were also friendly and hospitable. Will stop by if I’m in the area.
MoreInteresting cafe. The pink latte (coffee freewas very nice. Being rose flavour, I feared it would taste like soap, but it doesnt at all. I ordered an additional espresso to drop into my drink on the advice of the staff (so I could try it with and without coffee), which was a nice suggestion. I had a caramel brownie, which was nice and squidgy. There were a few very nice looking sweet treats on offer and a small menu of specials. The cafe is worth a visit if you are in the area and hankering for a pick me up treat.
MoreLove this cozy place! The almond croissant and coffee are very good!
Communication between the front til and kitchen/service needs to improve. A couple after me got my food and according to last reviews, it seems like it’s not the first time it’s happened in this venue so have rated it down for not improving service after getting so much of the same feedback / reviews.Enjoyed a Golden Latte and Halloumi Muffin, standard average to good.Plus side, the place is very pretty.
MoreGreat place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Good prices, lovely food and great decor. Really friendly staff, cant wait to go back! The toasties are yummmmm.
MoreWent here on Sunday with my boyfriend whos a chef and he said the chocolate salted caramel brownie he tried was the nicest brownie he has ever tasted! Its so pretty inside and my cup cake was delicious! The staff were lovely we definitely will be back.
MoreMillennial pink velvet and plants everywhere! Ive tried their rose latte and blue moon tea. Both nice and mild in flavor to complement the vegan chai cake and unicorn cake I’ve had. The service and drinks and food are great—but they need to update their furniture (it’s looking worse for wear).
MoreA great little vegan cafe with an all pink vibe, a great mix of options from a rose latte to a black filter coffee. Great selection of cake that is all reasonably priced! 10/10 would recommend!
MoreCannot deny the absolute beauty and style in this place. Pretty fresh flowers on the tables too! You dont see that very often. The hot drinks menu is dizzying, half of the stuff Ive never heard of and it took me 10 minutes to work everything out. My latte looked beautiful but was nothing special to taste. My cake too, was beautifully pink, yet very pricey, small slice, and so much slimy icing. The saying "style over substance" kept ringing in my ears... for the Instagram crowd, Id say.
MoreGreat vegan place. Very chilled atmosphere with friendly staff. Food was spot on in taste and presentation. Pretty for those instgrammers.
MoreYAAAAS GURL SLAAAYYYYYYIs basically how I feel about this place. All the good, pink, vegan vibes!
MoreLovely food and atmosphere! Very aesthetically pleasing and they only played Drake when I was there.
MoreStunning little cafe inspired by Wes Anderson with brownies that are out of this world. Staff are also all incredibly friendly. Believe that its a card only location.
MoreTrendy or what! I almost felt out of place by the clientel. The staff are lovely in particular, one who was knowledgeable on everything sold and the most popular dishes. So, so oversubscribed, long waiting times. There is a sign saying no laptops or tablets as a measure to deal with the long waiting times. The food is amazingly presented and most if not everything is vegan friendly with gluten free bread thrown in as optional. They play loud House and Garage music which I didnt like so much as I felt I had to shout at times to be heard. They had power cuts as many as 3-4 times during my visit which seemed like the norm as no one appeared bothered by it at all. The cashier explained that it was something that regularly happens when they use too much power, it just shuts off. The music stops and the lights go out and the card machine cuts out. Was happy about the music break though😀.I was told it was the most photographed cafe on Instagram which I wasnt surprised due to the quirky decor, the attractive food and imaginative teas and coffees! Definitely one to visit, just avoid general peak times and days!
MoreThis is a really cute little gem in Hackney. The decoration and the whole interior design is perfect match for the plants and 80s lovers. The drinks and cakes are delicious and not pricey.A little bit small so you need to wait for tables or you can just have a cup of coffee takeaway.
MoreBeautiful interior and presentation of food and drink. Not sure about the food but theres a good range if youre vegetarian/vegan. Friendly staff. Can get very busy as its small.
MoreAmazing place with a lot of plants and great coffee. Definitely check out there menu they have a latte coffee with Beetroot and its delicious. Also enjoyed the banana bread!
MoreReally nice hot drinks with unusually tasty and healthy addition such as beetroot juice to chocolate. All cakes are iced like wedding cake with different flavours. Be warned, no laptops are allowed and you can only pay by card. Dont know the reasoning but.i guess that makes it a social place.
MoreAdore this place, been a few times and there is always something new on the menu. As a vegan it is hard to decide what to have because there is so much choice! Beautiful pink drinks, delicious cakes, gorgeous staff and lots of lovely plants! Can’t wait until my next visit.
MoreIts nice but can be VERY busy during peak times and they do not cater for that at all and all you can do is wait whilst some people have finished eating and are just working on laptops.I think the price is a bit expensive... I understand it is independent but you can expect to pay on the higher end of the spectrum for breakfast where nearby, other vegan options are considerably cheaper. When you factor this in with the fact that it is quite difficult to get to and you can often pay from about 3 or 4 pound to park nearby if you are driving... it just feels like actually maybe I shouldnt go if I cant be guaranteed a table. The only reason why I would want to go is the decor and atmosphere.
MoreClassic hipster hangout which I enjoyed. Great to see an independent cafe with so much character thriving! Portions were just a little small for the price and the focus of this cafe is veganism and image as opposed to health foods (cakes use refined sugar). So I wouldn’t be back here super fast. But still a lovely spot if you want some pretty looking vegan cakes, drinks and food.
MoreI loved visiting this place where I discovered « rose latte » 😛😍💕 Great staff, great atmosphere, great deco, great music!! Reading the way they reply to unhappy visitors below, I love them even more!! Wish I could give 6 stars! There you are: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
MoreBeautiful!!! Absolutely gorgeous you need to visit it sometime. Only thing - dont expect great food. It it OK but the portions are small and they only had 1/4 things I wanted from the menu. But if you want to take the most gorgeous glitter coffee insta pictures - its here.
MoreThis place is absolutely beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. I had such a great time there with my friends a few weeks ago. The staff are super friendly and nice. And the cakes, teas and coffees are divine!! This is a lovely place to go to chill and hang out with friends sipping some healthy drinks and indulging yourself with their delicious cakes! Thank you so much. (I felt so bad that I couldnt finish my piece of cake. Next time, I will haha.Im definitely going to visit again!!
MoreNice place and good food, not too expensive. Its a shame just for the area where it is located but its a cool place to hangout with friends. Smaller than expected
MoreVisited at about 11 am on a Saturday morning in August. Had no problem getting a table at that time but the place filled up quite quickly as time went on. The place was pretty as expected, but had a bit of an unpleasant smell, which I guessed was the large dehumidifier whirring behind us. We spent time over what to choose from the menu. The food menu is limited but the drinks extensive. Eventually I chose rose latte and the granola and my dining companion chose a latte with mushroom and a cheese toastie. When the waitress came to take the order she said she was unable to serve us with the mushroom latte as she had an allergy to mushrooms. I found that a bit strange as there were several other staff members present, two of which were waiting on tables, couldnt she have asked a colleague to serve it? After this we were then told there was none of our chosen milk in stock so we had to choose different milks. My rose latte was nice but very sweet - may be suited those with a sweeter palate. My companion had rechosen a chai latte which was even sweeter and the chai taste overpowering. Again, perhaps suited to some palates. My granola was very pretty and tasted nice but nothing special. The cheese toastie was small in size and bland in taste. Concur with previous review mentioning chips on the plates and cups. Overall its worth visiting this place for the different and pretty factor. I probably would go again if a friend wanted to try it, without expectations of anything special.
MoreThis place is literally my happy place! Its obviously very instagrammable with the tropical vibes (you literally do feel like youre in a sunnier climate too as its always warm in there!)Love their healthy drinks, and love that the staff cater to my experimental drinks. The avocado toast is probably the best Ive had and their cakes are always a winner for my 3 year old!Staff are ALWAYS friendly even when theyre rushed off their feet on the weekends (which I tend to avoid if with my little one as its super busy!)I really am glad theyve opened on Mare Street, it is a bit of an odd location but I pray theyre there to stay and genuinely hope they expand to other locations too!Cant recommend them enough 💗💗
MoreLoved the open toast and the vegan chocolate mousse. The most interesting thing is the caffeine free veggie milk based drinks. The staff was super nice, especially the guy with the mysterious voice.
MoreIts cute but disorganised and the chairs were too short for the tables. A waitress accidentally slammed into my chair but didnt stop and another forgot my order. Its very small and the queue went out the door but two girls sitting at a table with a glass of water werent moved along. It has a long way to go in terms of professionalism. But cake & coffee was good.
MoreThis place is absolutely ridiculous. I live locally and have been here a few times and it has steadily become intolerable. My initial visits were good, decent service and good coffee but its been getting progressively worse and worse. The staff are incredibly rude and act like they are doing you a favour, despite the customers paying well above a normal price for a coffee and cake. Ive had to wait 25 minutes for a take away coffee on occasion, and could barely get a response from the staff when asked how long I would need to wait. My most recent visit was a week ago, where I was informed that the barista couldnt take my order as their computer was down and they couldnt possibly write down our order. Overall, it was a great place when it first opened, but the staff is now incredibly rude and they dont seem to have the capacity to deal with their increased popularity. I want to support local businesses, and truly enjoy their design aesthetic, but I dont need to pay for bad service because there happens to be nice plants around.
MoreIf you would like to visit then make sure to have a reservation on a weekend as seating is limited. On the whole its a cute place with a very twee feel, everything is dusky pink and green and its a nice environment to have a light breakfast in.The food is nice on the whole but everything is just a little too sweet for my taste. I had the banana bread which was burnt but tasty nonetheless but the coconut yoghurt took it over the edge to almost sickly. The service here is mixed, one waitress really seemed as if we were an inconvenience whereas the other who served us was lovely and really helpful. It was nice to try and see what the fuss was about but I probably wouldnt go back. There are better cakes, coffees and breakfasts elsewhere but I must say their decor is pretty cute.
MoreA very causy and original place. Rather girly, but its suitable for everyone. Vegetable food and drinks only
MoreSuch a cute place! Filled with flowers and so much pink, even the tissue paper in the toilet was pink. Me and my friends all ordered avocado on sourdough bread with various extra toppings and we were all satisfied with our food. We also tried the cakes (pineapple cake and rose cakewhich were lovely, soft and not too sweet, and the rose one wasnt too overpowering. I was a bit sad that they didnt have any matcha cake that day but guess its another reason to go back.
MoreFriendly staff, great hot drinks and amazing cakes. The wife a red velvet latte and crushed avocado sun-dried open toast and I had white hot chocolate and salted caramel brownie. All was great and decor was well done...especially if you like pink
MoreI like it here. The coffees and other drinks are faultless, and the cakes are delicious. I have yet to sample the good but i plan to. Only downside is the space itself. I find the acoustics bad and theres little privacy. Its a girly space!!
MoreMagical place with great surprising diverced breakfast choices. The line is a bit much at times but its worth it.
MoreVery pink and filled with plants. The decoration is fantastic, even the drinks and cakes are decorated. Food was very very good, so were the shakes we had. The girls working there are the sweetest. Very girly place, full all the time.
MoreLovely decor, a calm oasis within Hackneys multicultural chaos. Cakes were moist and tasted freshly baked (huge plusbut the 2 we tasted (passion fruit and raspberrywere mediocre in flavour. Quite pricey. Lovely staff but they did forget my friends order (someone else mentioned the same complaint)
MoreI’ve been wanting to visit ‘Palm Vaults’ for ages and I was in no way disappointed when I went for a late lunch yesterday! There was a 20 minute wait for a table which was expected given the social media buzz this place has acquired. Whilst queuing the staff brought us iced mint water and cake samples and kept us updated on how long the wait would be.Once in I had the ‘Unleash the Dragon’ smoothie, the smashed avocado on toast and finished up with a generous slice of the Palm cake - all of which were divine and served promptly with a smile. The gorgeous decor and abundance of greenery makes for a welcoming, bright setting which is reflected in the attentive, conversational staff.
MoreBeautiful decor, delicious (and the prettiest!food & lattes - attention to detail was amazing, everything we ordered looked too good to eat and we LOVED all of the dairy free options.Even though there was a bit of a queue the atmosphere & friendly helpful staff made it worth it, thank you Palm Vaults <3Will definitely be coming back here, need to try more cakes haha! :)
MoreLove this place! Everything from the decor to the food and coffee is on point. Its nice to have an independent place run by such inspirational people, makes a welcome change from Starbucks and Pret. Its important to support your independent local businesses! Its refreshing to have somewhere that has such a wealth of alternatives to the mainstream ingredients usually on offer, and done with such style.
MoreI visited on a Saturday in which I had to queue for a while, but it was well worth the wait. I wasnt sure what drink to order and the loveliest member of staff took the time out to talk me through the menu, even though she was obviously super busy. I could spend hours in this pastel pink tropical oasis working my way through the most gorgeous drinks and food, the music is always on point and the staff super sassy and friendly. The dreamiest cafe in town, thank you Palm Vaults, can not wait to visit again soon! <3 <3 <3
MoreMassive thumbs up!! I love everything about this place. Food and drink is tasty. Atmosphere and brand on point. Attention to detail is fantastic. Staff very friendly even when it was busy!! I will be back. XOXO
MoreSuch a lovely place with unique innovative juices and coffees. Went on a weekday and was lovely and relaxed with great r&b tunes. The weekends are much more busy, I felt such sympathy for the staff who had to deal with some incredibly sassy customers. Staff very sweet and kwirky, never been to a place like it such nice vibes :)
MoreI cant say enough about this amazing place! I visit the cafe most weekends for the delicious avocado toast, warm and friendly staff and incredible atmosphere. The portion sizes are super generous and the girls are always really happy to help and advise, when I was last in they recommended a slice of Palm cake that was particularly delicious. There is no where in London (or the world!quite like it!
MoreFood was good, coffee was ok, staff were nice and the decor was excellent!
This place is an absolute gem. Much more than the sum of its individually rather excellent parts.Sure, the interior is the most beautiful of all the cafes I’ve visited, a retro pastelly confection of marble, rose gold, pink and green. But even if it were not the most Instagram-friendly spot in the East, I’d keep coming back for the zen atmosphere, the light, brightness, the friendliness of the staff, and the reasonably-priced fab drinks and cakes. My white chocolate hot chocolate was velvety and light, whipped up with almond-milk, and the fact that it was the most delicate shade of pink was merely a cherry on top.Delightful, shockingly unpretentious, and even worth the trek sideways to Mare Street for.
MoreDelicious food, friendly service, good coffee. And very cool decor. Great place to visit when nearby.
