Here for a month. The management and staff are first class do anything to make our stay pleasurable. Highly recommended 👌 👍.

Great staff, always smiling.... Rooms are basic but clean and tidy, theres aircon but in the night its cool enough, would recommend in bringing a light weight blanket as the bed sheet isnt enough.Plenty of sun loungers on the beach or by the pool.Breakfast was very basic but the food you pay for at lunch, snacks and dinner was lovely.Very chilled out place and would deffinately visit again.Yes its basic and needs a spruce, but the people make it brilliant.

The hotel and staff was brilliant, I went with my grandson, they really looked after us, made us very welcoming, and couldnt do enough for us ,will give them 5 out of 5 👍👍👍👍

Best hotel on Kotu beach. Rooms could do with refresh and the place a lick of paint. But u get what u pay for suppose 🤷🏽‍♂️

1st February - 8th February 2022Great location on the beach5* food in the restaurant for lunch and dinner5* service by the restaurant staffGreat service for exchanging money into local currency either by British pounds or Using card.Room - gap between door and wall,Great air conditioning in the room - use door key to operate.Need to improve on the breakfast in the morning.This is what they had:Beans, Eggs, Orange Juice, Mushrooms with onions, Noodles with OnionsThe hassling by the locals was annoying but thank you to the hotel security who told them to go.The hassling by the workers in the hotel trying to sell me trips while going back to my room or going to the beach.Have to pay for Safe and Fridge.No mats in the bathroom - have to use towels on the floor for shower250 per hour if checking out after 12pm.☆Remember to get mosquito cream☆

Loved it here, nice rooms with a great view, no need for aircon (but it is in the roomlovely ocean breeze to keep you cool in the night, amazing staff we was well looked after definitely go back...

Lovely place, friendly people. Getting back in the saddle with the help of Essa, the guide. Diamond is a easy fellow for a horse. ☺ Young lady selling fruit to help with children school fees.

Terrible service. Kept our money for accommodation, cancelled our accommodation and didnt resolve the issue

Its a beautiful and quiet and safe place for family vacation. The staff is very nice.

Great location and the food at both the beach bar and pool bar is amazing. I ate there nearly every day. Rooms are very clean and they have good shower. Staff are very friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend and would revisit.

Good value for money. Do not expect the best of the best but it is also one of the cheaper options so be realistic.Young lady at the frontoffice was the friendliest girl we met during the whole holiday.

Decent rooms, good accomodation for a low price. Went on a birding trip with birdguide Bengi Darboe. A young talented local birdguide. He is Always around the road at the beginning of the cycle path. He knows all the birds and is very good with sounds.

Considering the price?it was basic, but adequate? for a week which suited Our last minute Break.REMEMBER!! this is a 2** B&B not the Ritz.... but we had clean room and fresh bedding and towels everyday, adequate breakfast, inexpensive Restaurant and bar and perfect beach setting and friendly staff throughout,?😎

Do consider that this the Gambia. Although there are 5 star resorts popping up, most hotels and infra structure is not that of Europe yet. Its clean, the rooms are large enough and the bathroom is certainly roomy.But most of all its at the best beach of the Gambia. Worth the price.

Really good and reasonably priced for an African 2 star hotel. Room are renovated and have good beds. The beach is nice.

Horrible hotel. Bad staf. Breakfast is poor and bad quality. It stinks all over the place. Beautifull Beach! Avoid this hotel if possible!

Nice comfortable, good food, beach access, friendly, helpful staff.

Rooms have been upgraded, a/c etc. But entertainment dire, especially Xmas Eve and New years Eve many including my party walked out and went elsewhere,. Did not want to listen to African music all night. Most nights no music of any kind background or similar, food was not as good as last year and the waiting time for it was soooooo long. Was hoping to hi e a better review than last year but not to be

We loved the beach life at palm Beach. Always something going on. Lots of beach bars& restaurants. Ladies selling fresh fruit and juice. Horse riding in the surf. Comfy sun beds with plenty of shade. All staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We went on the safari with Aziz. A great day out

Great staff great location right on the beach you could be in the carribean, great food. Room always clean which is all you can ask for. just remember folks its Africa and not a 5 star in London, I think people posting possibly negative reviews regarding the accommodation come with the wrong expectations, if the wardrobe door is miss-aligned is that going to really ruin your holiday, come on. One comment alougth nothing wrong with the food a little more authentic choice in my opinion would add to the menu. All in all another great stay.

Been here for 5 days now. Loved everything about this Hotel. Rooms are lovely cleaned every day. Food is Delicious in the pool restaurant and the Breakfast restaurant. Staff are 1st Class.

Where do I start? Arrived at the hotel to a warm and friendly welcome from the staff,speedy and efficient check in, onto the room which was basic but clean with a lovely bathroom and walk in shower, then a short walk too beach which was absolutely beautiful. Had an evening meal at the pool side restaurant which was excellent and again service from staff superb!!. After a pleasant night sleep we woke up to a beautiful hot shower followed by a breakfast which was of a high standard with hot food, eggs anyway you would like, fresh fruits, cereals, tea, coffee, fresh juice and even pancakes cooked fresh to order in short a very satisfying meal that set me up for the day, they call The Gambia 🇬🇲 the smiley coast and this hotel was exactly that for our entire week stay...I only wish we could of been part of the magic for longer...

Very comfortable rooms. Nice pools. Staff all very friendly and helpful. My only problem was the music and entertainment hence only 4 stars

I am not happy with the owner and senior management and I want to delete all my photos and reviews and all good deeds for Palm Beach.

This hotel had everything you could need , nice rooms which was cleaned daily.A pool, restaurant, with outdoor & indoor eating area.Daily entertainment around the pool.A large reception, & REALLY friendly staff, who would do anything for you.There was also security staff always on duty.The hotel is right on the beach, & bars a short walk away.The breakfast has a good choice ,I would recommend the pancakes!I would return to this hotel.Just one niggle, the mosquitos..j.p.salter

The public areas were dirty with dirty ashtrays everywhere. The photos look a lot nicer that the hotel is, old wodden sunbeds on the beach, awful breakfast I had it once only and that was it. The cooks use old smelly oil, the entire ground floor stinks in the morning when breakfast is cooked int he dining room. The guy Mustafa who checked me in was very rude at check in and also on 2 other different occasions. I complained about him to the management but they did not seem to bothered. Terrible management from India. No WI-FI in the room and it hardly ever worked in the public areas. One entire day there was no power or WI-FI. Several power cuts throughout the day every day. 6 TV channels only in total. Paper tin walls, I could hear the guest next door snoring at night. Old run down dirty hotel and the bed is the worst I have ever slept in. Old broken bed frame and worn out mattress. I could hear the TV loud next door. No help with the luggage to the upstairs units. No phones in the rooms, old flat pillows, super loud entertainment daily by the pool and in the evenings too. The bin in the bathroom had not been emptied upon my arrival, the cleaning is lacking throughout the entire hotel. No safe box in the rooms or fridge. Extra charges to rent them. No desk chair int he room, i was given a smokers room first but had them change it since I don’t smoke. The staff are very noisy outside from early on the morning. Other guests were noisy too. The day I was leaving there was no water when I woke up at 5:00 AM. I had to walk down tot he front desk and when I asked for water for my room they told me I had to pay for it. Shocking. In the end I had to go and find water from outside. I would not recommend this hotel or ever stay again. Cheap nasty hotel with terrible management.

Every morning someone comes to your room and politely asks if you want your towels washed. If you say yes, they take your towels away, wash them and return them six hours layer. That pretty much sums up the place for me.

Its an old type hotel. If you want a modern hotel then this is not for you. The beds are not standard, there is no fridge in my room. You may feel disappointed at first when you take a look at the rooms but you will get used to it and start enjoying the place.You will meet a lot of people here. It is just by the sea so if your idea of a holiday is lying by the beach then this is for you. The weather is very good.There are no WiFi in the rooms but you can get a free one at the reception area and the bar.

Great location, relaxing place with very friendly staff and perfect amenities. Could do with more choice at breakfast, but Resturant and bar meals are superb. Would come again and recommend if you require peace and quiet beach location.

Didnt stay there but definitely enjoyed the surroundings.

We had the most relaxing holiday on record at Palm Beach. The staff were so welcoming and friendly so no request for assistance went unheard. The hotel as the name suggests is right on the most gorgeous beach we have seen, full of Palm trees as far as the eye can see. The local people and vendors are also the most friendly we have had the pleasure to meet. They dont have much in the way of material wealth but what the Gambian people do have is an immeasurable zest for life and a level of kindness towards others that will humble most people to the core. Our only regret is that we couldnt stay longer!

Its not the best but i stay here as its cheap and staff are very friengly and helfull. Live bands and food is also good.

Good location on the beach. Comfortable and friendly staff. There is a cheap massage service. A varied breakfast. A small shop in the hotel.

Wow! This was a lovely place to stay.Friendly staff, allways smiling and checking if they can do anything for us.The rooms are clean and nice, the best weve stayed in our holiday in 3.5 weeks traveling around in Africa.The pool is nice, little bit cold, but clean and pretty.

Love this hotel. My 3 and 7 year old boys had the best holiday here. Basic hotel with the friendliest staff. Would recommend this hotel

Dreadful experience. Never, never again !Spend your money elsewhere please.Stayed for just 1 week, breakfast is a joke.Dont understand that this kind of hotel still exists in 2017.

When wanted food told we are closed security guard lamin Cham came to my room an tried it on with me when he didnt get what he wanted he sneaked out of the room really bad security both day an night I really hope no one uses this hotel

Nice hotel but staff were rude and unhelpful around the pool side but receptionists were lovely.

Have stayed here for 8 days, back in Jan. 2015. Enjoyed it very much!The rooms are simple, but clean. Breakfast is simple, but very tasteful.Staff is extremely friendly. Prices of drinks are low.

Its a Prison Camp, the fun is mandatory. Treated very badly by staff who threw us out of our room 9 hours before out flight home.

Some of the staff brilliant but others well no comment,rooms very basic but acceptable,oh yes the over pricing at bar

The only reason to stay there is proximity to the beach. Most of staff is ok (bar abusive receptionistby the place I just run as cheaply as possible. Beware of overpriced drinks at the pool bar.
