Very nice national park with great views to the surrounding countryside as the forest level here is quite low. Possible the spend the night in one of the open huts (tupa or kotawhen doing the crossing from/to Hetta. Meeting reindeers is quite frequent. Near Pallas Tourist Information, in southern part, there is also a hotel with small ski resort accessible by a road.

We did a 54km hike over 3 days with a tent in early September. Minus degrees during the nights. Luckily only the first day with rain. The rain showers were on & off so it would have been great to have a waterproof outer shell instead of separate rain clothes. And my shoes fell apart coz I didnt use them for a while.... Apparently you need to use them regularly to keep the soles attached.....I loved the scenery in Lappland. We started in Hettä had someone drive us across the lake and bring the car to the final destination Pallas. I will do it again!!!!

Absolut stunning magic place with a unique landscape. If you like quiet solitude, the natural sound of birds and creeks flowing, Its the place to be. The wide open range of lapland, the quiet but friendly Finish people enchanted me from the first moment I Set my foot in finnish soil.

Beautiful natural places, many huts and cabins freely available, go check out their website to know the location of each place. Youll find fireplaces and I really suggest you spend the night there !

Nature, nature, lovely undisturbed nature, clean air, wind and sound of streams. Drink clean, cold, revitilizing water from streams, listen to birds songs, follow reindeers in forest but be aware of them on the road.Despite of ocasional rain we had great time hiking and sleeping in huts/cottages and tent. Ruska is especially wonderful time to come to Lapland. And any other ti.e as well if you love nature and you want to escape city.Unfortunately my Telia connection was almost always working in here. Though putiing airplane mode can fix this problem if you want to enjoy yourself without getting disturbed 😊😁😌😎

Its a beautiful place for snowshoes, skiing or walking. Take your time and dont make too much noise, youll see birds and small animals who arent afraid of coming close. You must stay until the sun goes down, the light plays in the trees, its gorgeous!

Nature virtually untouched under a magical blanket of snow. One can easily hire snow shoes and skiing gear. While the Ski Resort facilities are old, theyre still classically rustic and charming. Good value for money. Photographers dream.

Aitoa Lappia, jossa hienoa vaeltaa pientenkin lasten kanssa (Orava Avenue lähtee päätöstä ja vie taukotuvalle, jossa tulistelupaikka)./ Real Lapland with awesome fell views all around. Easy to hike with children also (check Orava Avenue ..it starts from the main Road before the hotel and leads to a cottage with camp Firenze place. Safe to hike as you can see faraway ..so few trees. Can see reindeers if lucky. Good place to snowshoeing also if not foggy weather. Hart to find overnight places as only one hotel.

The oldest national park in Finland. With Ylläs as the largest offering in cross-country skiing tracks in Europe, great downhill slopes and sensational hiking routes as well as a lot of other program activities this area is a paradise for getting to know the Arctic wilderness. Pallas area on the other hand is more quiet, with rolling highland fells and great spots to retreat from the frenzy of the world.

I only went here for a couple of hours during the winter, so I cant give you a full review of the parc. But from what I saw, its beautiful and well managed. You can do several things during the winter: cross-country ski, ski (there are several tracks!and hiking.

The hike across the park is a very nice route. The nature is very diverse on different altitudes. The hike is a bit demanding, because of long ascents and descents.
