Nice place to eat when its sunny...when it rains its just coffee. Very good prices and food and nice service.

Friendly and fast service. Good food. Waitress made a mistake with my bill which I only noticed after checking my bank account. As soon as I mentioned it she refunded the money. Much appreciated.

Good place, patio, friendly personal, big choice of food, localy brewed beer, fast ant tasty kitchen.

Good food. Rolled in on my bike from Bratislava and spotted this nice little open air restaurant in the main square. Food was tasty and prices seemed fine.

Food is okay. The waiters had a very bad attitude.

Several reasons why you should avoid this place:- ignorant staff (you get served by zombies)- food is not worth the price (pasta has been cooked probably a few days before)- apart from the food: the toilet is moldy (instant asthma alert)

The food and drinks were excellent and the staff were very polite and professional except for one boy working there who had Ill fitting trousers that did not cover his ankles, exposing his sports socks. He was really rude and treated us very poorly

The images in the menu do not correspond to the actual dishes. In reality they look much worse and poorer.

A beautiful restaurant located in the old center of the city. Very good HU traditional food. Fast service! It is worth visiting and trying!

The staff are ignorant, the food was avarage at best. One of our meals had a wasp in it and when we asked for the meal to be replaced we were told they dont do that here, the dish was replaced with a hair in it but at this point we didnt feel it was worth it to make the staff aware as the meal wasnt nice and the pasta was hard and probably a few days old. Wouldnt recommend.

The Goulash soup was lip smacking! It was a no frills dish which was Bursting with flavor . The Diablo pizza 🍕 had kick to it with the chili 🌶 flakes in the base sauce . Quick service.

- Meal was not bad still probably not worth the price- The service was terrrible, like a zombie- We shared one meal with my wife, you should have seen his face- Do not drink the mojito, worst we have ever drunk- Again service - he told us the price, when we told him mojito was bad (we did not drink ithe said OK and repeated the price. Of course he did not get single forint tip.- Never again.

The waiters were rather morose and busy so it took a while to get the menus than the bill at the end.

Good food, well prepared and served quickly. We had Hungarian wine and Belgium beer. The ice cream desserts are huge and lovely. Buy to share.

This restaurant serves some of the best ice creams Ive ever had. Its located in the centre of Gyor. To be honest, I couldnt even finish it as it was so large but it was delicious. I would definitely recommend a visit if youre in Gyor on a hot summer day.

Low quality pizza, overprized place. The view at the Szechenyi Square gives you some relief though. The waiters are nice too.

Lots of options and the food was pretty good. Nothing mind blowing, but good and it was quick! Ordered the bruschetta and Turkey Cordon Bleu. The Bruschetta came with 3 different types. One with tomatoes and olives in a light vinaigrette, one with a tuna salad and another with a horse radish type cream. Staff was quick to help and friendly.

A Canadian Tourist Review: Huge vegetarian pizza with very fresh toppings. I was expecting a much smaller pizza given the price. It was 3000 Hungarian Fonti. The beer was 1000 Fonti but one beer here is equivalent to two beers in Canada. Overall this massive beer and huge pizza is equivalent to under 15 CAD. Huge bargain given this is the only restaurant in the plaza which is a prime tourist location.Fantastic service. Servers speak fluent English.Highly highly recommend!

Food is good and location as well. Problem is staff. If you dont like working, stay at home.

The restaurant has a very good atmosphare and the square where is it placed is very cozy. The prices are OK and the staff is really friendly and they are fast.

Food was tasty, a little pricier than expected but not too bad. Service was mostly good but rather rushed, as soon as my partner had put his fork down they swooped in to take away his plate (he hadnt finished and the place wasnt at all busy so we didnt understand the need!We felt a little uncomfortable and observed until we finished the plates, I think perhaps the staff were bored on a slow day..

The kitchen is still open very late! What i really like because we had a long trip and were hungry. I had the food really fast and the spaghetti carbonara was delicious!!! Best i ever had! Definitely recommended!

Very good food, nice and friendly staff.I went there with two friends.Had a great pork meat with pepper sauce. Full of taste ,juicy and very well prepared.Also other meals were really tasty.Staff was very fast and friendly. Really good choice that made our trip even better

Mr. Palffy is a very important figure of the local history, check the facts:the restaurant is a really up to date traditional Hungarian one, with a very good service and moderate/low prices. Try local dishes and beer!The place itself is great, in the old city heart. Great terrace.

We went twice in our three-day stay, that’s how much we liked it. The food was tasty, homemade and nicely presented. You may not want to get an appetizer, as the portions are very generous. The staff is kind and friendly. Good price-value ratio. The sponge cake with whipped cream and fruit was out of this world. Highly recommend!

The service was below expectations - the two dishes were served more than 5 min apart. Surprisingly, the burger took longer to make than a pork meat dish. And the food is just acceptable for our taste.

Very nice and cosy place that serves traditional cooked food. Desserts are also very tasty and budget friendly. I definitely recommend to try out this place when in Gyor.

Extremely slow service, one nice waitress, the rest of the staff is rude, no professionalism. Food is under the average. Not recommended.

Lovely, quiet place to sit down and enjoy Hungarian atmosphere!

We had an overnight stay in Györ. After a long drive we decided to eat something at the main plaza. The Restaurant was packed, but WE were lucky to get a table. The waiter was friendly and we ordered 2 Pizza. It took 45min to get it, one was cold by then and the other one soso. Unfortunatly besides cold they were not tasty at all. I recommend to visit the smaller Restaurants in the small streets around. We will not visit this Restaurant again!

I just bought some ice creme from the street, but is was fast and the portion is surprisingly large, and very good. They have a large selection of ice creme. I recommend them!

Oh man this is an excellent as Gyor itself its so alive. The atmosphere is really great and the food also., very affordable too.

The food is decent but not the highest quality. In my experience the food was a bit salty, the flavours would have been better expressed without so much salt. Overall though, decent experience. The staff is very friendly and food is quickly delivered.

A super choice if you want to have some traditional Hungarian food. The taste is great, the food is fresh and the personal is really kind. Warning! Do not choose soup and main course together unless you wanna die because of food coma! And just sit outside (in summer time of courseto enjoy the great atmosphere of the square.

Very delicious food and great desserts.

I came here for dinner and the ice cream. Firstly, there were flies at the window seat so we changed the seat. I would recommend to choose outdoor seats surrounding with the lovely historic buildings. Waiters were nice; however food was plain. I ordered 100g goose liver and the beef with cabbage. Goose liver was overlooked and my medium beef was too tough as well. The most disappointed is the ice cream. I hold the highest expectations on the wild fruits ice cream but its too soft and sweet.

I had the hugest portion of ice cream of my life here with the best lemonade so I guess its obvious that Ill give 5 star to this place! Its located in one of the most beautiful squares of Hungary which also adds so much to the atmosphere of this restautant. Family friendly and very good servide.

Perfect place for a cheerful dinner. Excellent meals, lots of beer to choose from, and kind staff.

We had a wonderful meal. Topped off with a massive ice cream. Whilst we were impressed with the size it was made up of a lot of cream and the ice cream itself wasnt like the picture on the menu, should of been a mix of flavoured ice cream but was just a bland tasteless vanilla, I think.
