Palestine Museum of Natural History in Bayt Jālā

بما أنني مهتم بالتراث البيئي الفلسطيني، فإنني اعتبر متحف فلسطين للتاريخ الطبيعي من أفضل معالم السياحة البيئية التي لا بد من زيارتها .. كي نفهم مدى التنوع الحيوي البديع الذي حظيت به فلسطين عبر التاريخ، ففي المتحف مجموعة كبيرة من الكائنات الحية المحفوظة بعناية داخل غرف المتحف بالإضافة الى الحديقة التي تزخر بتنوع نباتي جميل.. وهو اجمل في الربيع والشتاء.. هناك ايضا متحف للادوات الزراعية يستحق الزياره..وللعلم يمكن لمن يرغب بالتطوع.. في المتحف ان يحظى باقامة مجانية في نُزل خاص بالمتحف.

The highlight of our trip. This is the personal project of Dr. Qumsiyeh, the director. It has a small collection of natural history and another of ethnography. The gardens are a vital experiment in sustainable living and provide an important service to Palestinians living in their hard environments. We were greeted by the director and given great hospitality and a personal guide tour. There is no charge. An essential part of any trip to Bethlehem.

Its not worth the time or the money

Somewhere far from the noisy streets of Palestine you can find this museum and its a place worth a visit, i went twice and i loved it!

I had a tour of the experimental gardens along with lively conversation with several young science interns.

This is an example of harnessing our indigenous knowledge system and archiving everything about ourselves, our land and our lives as we share the land with all living things

A wealth of information about the Palestinian presence in the land of the fertile crescent throughout recorded history. New and creative approaches to agriculture and many interesting artefacts of historic and natural value. Wonderful creation!

Good to know about the nature, plants and demographics of the land where you live, some you can see all over the country and some are seasonal, but also some rare that e have to care about not to vanish by time.I believe that this place is worthy to visit, see and listen to know about your nature and much more

Great initiative and very nice tour of the place. Not open properly yet and is all run by volunteers, so its best to phone or email in advance to make sure someone is there and get a guided tour.
