Amazing architecture and preservation of all of the places! You must visit this palace. One single thing I suggest you, install the surveillance cameras in the garden. Its not good to see the sculptures in the park destroyed and scarred. Its a lack of respect.

Nice park to walk with a dog and have your morning coffee. Beautiful waterfall. Funny animal sculptures — smart way for a zoo. A bit small.

The Palais Longchamp was a gorgeous place with tumbling waterfalls, overflowing greenery and towering arches. Even in bad weather, it is excellent. The Musée des Beaux Arts had various beautiful scenery paintings as well as lovely portraits and the Musee de l’Histoire Naturelle was very well made but had many kids so there was a lot of noise. Overall, it was a great experience.

Palais Longchamp became easily one of my favorite places in Marseiile. If you are an early bird then I recommend you visit it in the morning for there are very few people and you cand enjoy the peace and quiet. The sundown is also a good options for you can see this masterpiece in the golen hour light. It activates as a park also so the entry is free (so you definitely need to have this one on your list)

Lovely fountains by the gardens. It has a bar/coffee shop. The toilets are disgusting, flooded, smelly,...it closes at 6.00. Lively with families and children.

Loved the museum bit but the fancy top part is just a facade and there is nothing at the top after you climb up a 100 steps - if course there is a bit of a view from the top but nothing else

This is seriously a must see while in Marseille. The most amazing thing in the city. The Palais Longchamp is nestled in a green setting in the center of Marseille. Built in 1869 to celebrate the arrival of water in Marseille, the monument houses the Natural History Museum of Marseille and a Fine Arts Museum.

Fountains sound will dissolve the city one, sculptures are massive but very natural, bulls are holding an entire city the building is hiding secrets on seals of the massive and grotesque building.Behind it you will find a park that will reopen something that is hidden in you. Sit, relax and enjoy the view of the city through the art of the construction guarded by the amazing statue.I will not tell to you an entire history of this palace. Go, visit, explore :-)

I only spent 5 hours in Marseille but Palais Longchomps is definitely worth the visit. The water feature is unlike anything you will see elsewhere.Unfortunately I didn’t have time to visit the museum. There is also a little play area at the top for kids to play in while you take in the sight. The place is a little dirty though. I did spot a few broken glass bottles around.

What a lovely place to visit. I was content just taking photos from the outside the gate but then saw it was free to wander the grounds as well. It was definitely worth the long walk there (or you could use public transportation but we had not figured it out yet so we just walked).

The park is fabulous and absolutely gorgeous. The water fountains are very pretty and refreshing. Walking around the columns and winding staircases brings joy to the soul. The museum is good, but small and a little outdated. However in since the last time I was here maybe 8 years ago, they’ve added English and Spanish to the description cards. Great place to take great photos!

Just a few minutes away from the city center, this place is most elegant and cleanest garden in Marseille. Perfect for photoshoots. It probably is the only place in this city without any graffitis. I feel safe hanging out here.

Place itself is lovely however it is far from the port, if you are going there with a scooter or bike be careful because you will have to go through some rough neighborhoods, even i was with my boyfriend i felt a little bit unsafe. We had to be extra cautious in that neighborhood. But there is a bus line right across from it i suggest to take that bus. Especially there are unlimited 24/48/72 hour passes you can buy from major stations and use in all public transportation.

Palais longchamps is 5 stops away from vieux port. Very accessible and easy to spot. You can visit two museums: history and natural sciences along with beautiful parcs and a even a zoo. Palais longchamps is a celebration of the coming of water in the city of Marseille in 19th century. Nice sport for photo shooting.

The place is bit far from the old port around 30 minutes walking. The palace is located in a zone where roads are dirty, streets under construction and so crowded. The palace is inside a park and have a zoo. The palace is so beautiful, the architecture is wonderful but unfortunately some walls have words written on them. In general the palace is a good spot to make great photos , you can see around people taking professional photos ( instagrammers 🤩😹☺️)
