Palais Jacques Coeur in Bourges

Absolute rude French service and administration. Small low paid attendants will decide that they can dictate when museum opens and closes. 17:15 closing time - is a lie. Please advertise orrectly. Closes when they decide to close. Violating the hours of visitation as they please. Shame. Probably they have somewhere more beautiful to go! :)

Went tyo go in at aabout 11:50am sor rty we a re closing for a 2 hour lunch, how does this country survive.

How beautiful this palace is, and the architecture is impressive. Beautifully decorated with lots of works of art, sculptures, furniture, everything is absolutely impressive. I recommend visiting it and also the surroundings are very beautiful

Un incontournable si l’on est de passage à Bourges. L’architecture « gothique flamboyant » vaut largement le détour pour cette demeure érigée par Jacques Cœur, l’emblématique grand argentier de Charles VII. La visite guidée est un vrai plus qui permet de mieux connaître la vie du personnage ainsi que de repérer les détails riches de la demeure. Compter 1h30 pour la visite.

Un très beau lieu aussi intéressant dun point de vue architectural qu historique.Un parcours original qui vous balade à travers le palais, qui vous amène dans les moindres recoins et jusquaux combles.Une vraie originalité que de passer dans des lieux moins prestigieux mais qui montrent aussi lenvers du décor et du faste de lépoque.Une belle découverte.Le palais est quasiment vide mais cela permet de profiter des lieux et de sarrêter sur les moindres détails que lon voit sur les murs, les fenêtres, les cheminées...

De très beaux bâtiments très bien entretenus. Visite agréable mais peu de mobilier présent dans les pièces parfois très grandes. Prix de la visite "adulte" un peu cher à mon goût (8€).

Un beau monument comportant des sculptures de haut niveau fourmillant de détails. Je minterroge cependant sur lintérêt de mettre une exposition dart contemporain à lintérieur, ça me paraît incongru. Jespère que le décor sera enrichi avec du contenu plus approprié. Lendroit en lui-même mérite la visite, sans compter quil y a la cathédrale de Bourges à quelques minutes à pied.

The best light show in Bourges takes place on the walls of this beautiful building!

A beautiful monument to visit and discover through a one hour guided tour. The Palace is huge and only a part of this rich house can be visited. Sculptures, wooden cellars, impressive xvii century murals, ancient floors... The particularity of this place is that it results in a mix of a lot of architecture styles. Its a rare example of civilian gothique flamboyant in France. Really worth to enter, even if the streetside wall is already very well decorated and remarkable for its original stone sculptures.

We came in during a freezing december afternoon... ar 16:30. Too late to visit. We left.

The Palace is well preserved, has a lot of history (so does its creator Jacques Coeur), the rooms have a lot of different styles, and there are even a couple of fun surprises.

It is a nice medieval laïque house to visit, however there are nicer examples in the Loira area.
