C. Real de la Alhambra, s/n, 18009 Granada, Spain, Granada
Emperor's Renaissance-style residence with a grand courtyard and museums within the Alhambra.
Simple, but great!
Not enough information, dont buy your tickets in advance, rip off price.
Interesting architecture, much like a coliseum. No rooms are accessible though, except the art gallery on the second floor, which is nice.
Its free and nice to look around.
A beautiful and wonderful place, beautiful and wonderful monuments, I recommend to go
It was a great experience to visit Palace of Charles V. The Palace was enormous! It was worth a visit.
Maybe the less interesting palace of Alambra
Very interesting building! The concerts held in the summer are amazing!
Impressive Architecture
Palacio de Carlos V, desde 1527…Time flows quietly, cant turn back the clock, whether gentle, irritable, ordinary or legendary, we will eventually be annihilated in the long river of time, as if weve never been here.Todo fluye...🎈
Sure visiting palace give sufficient time to explore
Surprising place from outside square building inside circle. Nice museum.
I love alhamra complex. This place is a part of complex but its totally diffent and Its in roman style not Muslim Architecture
Another beautiful building to see
Interesting historical monument
An amazing palace that takes you back in time. A very romantic and special place.
The museum is interesting but the experience in the building itself.
A great image on your visit to the Alhambra. We went as early as possible.
Part of Alhambra free to enter impressive on inside and out building
A very interesting part of the Alhambra - but in my view pales beside the splendour of the Nasrid Palaces - extraordinarily lavish splendour from the 13th & 14th centuries!
It is nice but not spectacular. Museum is OK, free entry for EU citizens.
We only visited the Alhambra museum which was good but not exceptional. It is a free museum. If you have an audioguide, it is hard to find what number you should type in (starting from a 100). Takes about 45 minutes if you read/hear most of what is available.
Really amazing! Free entrance museums inside. Go for it!
The quickest thing to see at the Alhambra. There’s an art museum inside if interested
Another must-see building. Beautiful both inside and outside. We came late in the afternoon and it wasn’t crowded at all, even on Spain’s national day. Don’t miss getting the audio guides before visiting any of the sites in Alhambra. It is a great way of learning about every detail of the buildings.
A cool place to see as it has a circular shape inside.
The Renaissance-style palace is more modern (16th centuryand stands in contrast with the mostly Islamic buildings in the Alhambra. It boasts an two-tier inner circular patio. There are two museums inside, the "Museo de la Alhambra" and "Museo de Bellas Artes".
among the Muslim palace buildings, The Emperor Charles V let build the Renaissance style Palace, you feel the strong Intension of efforts in religion impress extremely in Granada, anyway - a little confused expression if you came inside to the round yard. Amazing effect but in terms of acoustics, you hear at the centre very clearly the talking people in different radius.
Contrasting to the Islamic Style of other buildings in Alhambra Complex, this Palace was constructed with High Renaissance architecture elegance. Housing the Museum of Alhambra on its ground floor, this fabulous Palace is understandably a very popular tourist attraction. 2 photos.
There is a museum inside of the palace and it showcases the artifacts found from the Alhambra. Museum was ok but don’t miss the gift shop. They have good stuff that are not found elsewhere and I regret not buying.
The Palace of Charles V is a Spanish Renaissance building commanded by Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor. It is located inside the Nasrid fortification of the Alhambra. The outside of the building is a rectangle, with thick walls an a facade characteristic of the renaissance style. The interior is a circular patio surrounded by Doric and Ionic inspired columns. There’s a museum there that you can visit when visiting the Alhambra and there’s also a gift shop.
The Palace of Charles V is situated within the Alhambra palace complex. Guided tours are run throughout the day and booking is advisable as this iconic palace is extremely popular. There are a number of areas with steep narrow steps but the views make the climb worthwile. The palace of Charles V is very large with an auditorium.
Mid-September:Beautiful and free to visit, even without ticket. The museum you can visit for free if you are an EU citizen.
Too much pictures have been posted, praises all over the world! Only to see is to believe, needless to say, I do respect this world classical creation.
Interesting from the outside and while this project was never completed; the inside space is very interesting
I think this palace is beautiful... the most important is the meaning ..... was buildEd as a gift from Charles to his wife.... as present and symbol of love. The architecture outside is beautiful inside is unique is circular. Looks like a plaza de toros .. bull fighter ring.....Only does not have any furniture left, I can picture as nice place....
Very impressive!Make sure to book online!Tickets are sold out fast.
This palace seems quite odd in the middle of the Alhambra site as it’s not in keeping with the rest of the buildings. But it’s still worth a visit. It’s free to enter and there is a museum with art on display and the central circular courtyard is impressive. I never did find out why they put ornate metal handles all around the outer wall of the building
A lovely lovely place to sightsee. Be sure to drop by the museum inside. Its free!
Nice place to visit as part of the Alhambra, this area is free to visit if you havent bought a ticket. Has a few little museums and art galleries.
Worth a trip especially if you didn’t managed to get tickets to the rest of the Alhambra complex. One of the free parts of the Alhambra - even though it’s a Renaissance period building designed for the Holy Roman Emperor Carlos V, meaning it’s less worthwhile for those interested in the Nasrid / Moorish architecture on the site
Part of the overall Alhambra experience. Simply breathtaking!
Very historical & great place to visit. And its free. You wii find a great view of Al Hambra from there.
So much history in one place. Beautiful gardens.
Fine palace indeed. Worth dropping in as you walk around during the Alhambra hilltop. Spectacular circular court, inspired by ancient Roman architecture. I do not really recommend the Museum of Fine Arts: no piece of significance, with the exception, in my view, of the huge canvas on the departure of the last Arab governor of Granada. We could not get into the Museum de la Alhambra as it was closed.
what an interesting place to visit. it has unique architecture and amazing ornament pattern. Combining Islamic Moorish style and Spain architecture style, make the building look amazing. Really nice to visit with your friends and families. But sadly, you have to leave the baby stroller at the entrance
Very lovely place, a must see when about granada. Very safe, clean, touristic, lots of gardens, very relaxing and gorgeous place to visit.
Beautiful architecture. And has a great view of surroundings.
Unfinished newer palace, the front entrance is noteworthy and impressive, and the huge interior circular courtyard (not a good term, as the space is more like a bullfighting arenais incredible, but otherwise not spectacular. Houses a museum.
Although it is a very well maintained building, the type of architecture style seems a bit odd in the middle of the muslim ones, like it would not belong here. Concerts are hold in here because the great acoustic.
