What a pleasant surprise youre in for if you dine at Paddles! This chic restaurant is like a little black dress - its classy and can easily be upscale and fancy or casual, yet always elegant. Our food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the warmth and hospitality of the family who owns and operates the business are like the proverbial cherries on top of the sundae. Speaking of desserts, if youre anything like me and like caramel, be sure to save room for dessert!Taking pride and passion in culinary arts, another family member operates a cute little coffee shop located just a few blocks away. It was such a pleasure to visit Samoa and our experiences at these establishments contributed to the overall experience. Thank you so much!!

Words cannot express how much I’d appreciate the beautiful experience I’ve had here at Paddles. This is a place where you know food and care are the love language and the bestest Giovanni here wouldn’t have treated you with anything but love. We booked a “fancy dinner “ at a local resort and were disappointed by the menu, so we decided to drive to Paddles through the rain, with the trust that we had the best food there 2 days ago. Knowing it’s my birthday without any preparation, the bestest Giovanni quickly arranged flowers and PINK PLATES for us. I was in tears how I was cared for and I will truly visit Samoa again just for this. Grazie Giovanni. Se il migliore.

The service and food was great. The owner went above to make sure we had a wonderful view and dining experience. Nice large servings too! My only regret is that I didn’t have room for dessert. Definitely recommend.

Took new and old friends to Paddles tonight and made a bold statement "Ive never had bad a meal here, everything is stunning" then noticed we had been given a new menu - damn!Im delighted to say I was not wrong, everything that came over the pass was outstanding, our guests were so impressed. The wait staff were just as amazing as always, the legendary Papa Rossi personally greeted everyone in the restaurant table by table dispite being fully booked and very busy running front of house. Paddles is full of exceptional people doing extraordinary things with beautiful ingredients to create the best dinning experience in Apia. Reservations essential!

Food is excellent. Calamari for your starter and then have the pork belly or steak for you main. Tiramisu for dessert and you will be sorted.

First time and last. Had our 25th anniversary dinner there lastnight - the lasagne I ordered was terrible. It was overcooked and dry - I didnt get half-way through my meal.

Definitely a MUST while in Apia!The sunset views of the bay, harbor and the Immaculate Conception Cathedral are stunning.The food and the service were fantastic.

Amazing experience at this restaurant! So welcoming and friendly. The staff are so so incredible, the food is to die for, the drinks are fun and delicious. I couldn’t recommend Paddles enough. Giovanni is the host with most definitely the most 😉 We went for our 25th wedding anniversary and I didn’t want to leave.

The best Italian Restaurant in the country in my opinion. Dont miss the Calamari Starter and the Seafood Risotto.They have kids meal for Wst 25. They give kids colouring book to keep them busy.Boss and staff are very friendly.The entrance of the restaurant did say "Booking Essential" but they do take walk in. The place could get busy though so call them and book ahead.Does take Credit Card with no surcharge but staff will ask if yiu are happy to leave a tip.Overall great restaurant.See my photos below for the menu.

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful throughout. The owner took a real interest in our meal being enjoyable. The food was lovely and not too expensive, I had the fish and prawns risotto was delicious. I would definitely recommend.

Could not say more positive things about this restaurant. We were greeted at the door by the owners who are lovely (something you dont experience often these days). The staff were very lovely and the atmosphere was amazing. The food was some of the best we have eaten and it is very obvious why it is so highly recommended. A must try restaurant in Samoa.

Food was spectacular! Service was 10/10. If youre willing to spend a bit of money (tala), this is worth a try. Happy customer for sure. Thank you Paddles, very manaia 👍🏾💯

Excellent spot and great atmosphere

We really enjoyed our dinner at Paddles Restaurant. All our dishes tasted great (we ordered the oka, seafood pasta and baked fish), used fresh ingredients and had generous portions. The staff were very attentive and thoughtful (they even split and presented the oka on two plates to make it easier for us when they found out we were sharingand it was great to see the owner out and about, greeting/ checking up on the guests. Would happily return if we ever get the chance. Booking is recommended as they tend to be quite busy.

Pricey but absolutely worth the money! Italian themed food that was just delicious! Workers were hospitable and very attentive. Met the owner, manager and chef and they were so lovely. A place worth going if youre visiting Samoa! Family really loved it. 10/10!

Loved this place, a family run restaurant from an Italian father and Samoan mother... the blend comes through in the food with Italian flare to some local produce. Highly recommended. Booking is important, we did get in without but it was busy so another night may not have worked out. By local standards, not cheap. But excellent value in my view.

Simply Amazing, an experience that has me sold!! A new menu, well trained staff, attentive and professional. Our host is exemplary in wanting the best of our time there. Not just, but every single person.Thoroughly enjoyed every thing about this, and WOW, such great value for money.

Had a wonderful family dinner here tonite. Food, service & atmosphere was excellent. We had a party of 13 & everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Our server & host constantly checked on us & would definitely reccomend. Faafetai tele lava !

Nice located restaurant with great food. Always busy as it is one of the most famous in Apia but worth to wait. You get assigned to the waiting area until they have a table free. The price is on a higher level but it is worth to go at least once.

Great quality food, one of only few places of this standard in Apia. The fish w/ prawns on rice is flavourful, fresh, and well cooked. The service is very good, and they were very accommodating with my party of 8, despite no making a reservation (as is requested). Highly reccomended!

Very expensive for quality of food.What l ordered did not receive. Desert inedible. We where a group of four international visitors.Italian influence but does not serve focaccia or good Italian bread. Olives where pitted Spanish sliced on mederitarrean soup like plater.Disappointing for our last night. Coffee was good.

Excellent service, average food. The service could not be faulted. It was perfect in every way.The food was average, but priced like A+.The seafood risotto is better named a Butter risotto with seafood. It had no discernible flavour at all other than butter. The seafood in it was reasonable but not exceptional at all for Samoa. The prawns were not fried then added to add complex flavour - there was no complexity - just butter.The fish dish was bland and uninteresting, with a simplistic flavour profile which was neither memorable nor impressive; it was ok. All the food was ok. B+ ok at A++ prices.The place was sweltering, with no aircon and fans blasting. It was no more comfortable than the place I ate yesterday for $6 Tala, except at $75 a head.The view is stunning, but would have been better seen from behind air-conditioned glass, or go after dark when its cooler.

You wont find anywhere better in Samoa for delicious Italian fused with fresh local ingredients cuisine. We have been there several times and have never been disappointed. Oh the service is excellent, just tell Giovanni that i told you to go there.

Placed on the waterfront in Apia with the sun setting across the harbour makes for a perfect dining experience. The Rossi Family own and run the Paddles Restaurant and it is dining experience that should not be missed when visiting Samoa. The first thing to notice in any restaurant around the world is the service, as no matter how beautiful or shabby an establishment may be, the people that work there can enfluenve the entire experience. Starting with the interaction with one of the owners who greets you upon arrival, the wait staff who are willing and attentative to your every need and the excusite menu that never disappoints. It is a given that once you have exeperinced Paddles you will return again and again and again

Make sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Family run restaurant, was a great experience start to finish. Staff are attentive, food was quick and portions are massive. We shared one starter, a main and didnt finish either. Great setting which is open air looking west. We enjoyed a great sunset with a chill glass of NZ Oyster Bay Chardonnay. Spotted the maître d the following day and greet us by our first name. Great experience, thanks!

How do I describe paddles well : tonight I had the Pork Belly for my birthday. Boys to Men was playing and it was a great companion to mouth sensation that followed. I would the chef made love to my taste buds but it would do a disservice to how amazing my dinner was. Love this place.

Highly recommended! Giovanni and his Samoan-Italian family make you feel very welcome, like coming home to a friend! The service and staff was attentive and quick, something we missed in a lot of other places... the drinks were really good, the spaghetti good but not the best I ever had. Would still go back anytime, had a nice evening with good atmosphere!

My husband and I had dinner at Paddles last night. The service was impeccable, and the food delicious. There is a great selection of wines, cocktails and other drinks. The owner came and chatted to us before dinner. He thanked us for booking through Milani Cafe (the other business that he owns in Apia), gave us a sample of the signature dish for tonight and generally welcomed us to his establishment. A great place to dine.

Great quality food accompanied by even better service. A great place for any occasion and it has a spectacular view of the harbour, food is reasonably priced and the wine list is quiet comprehensive. I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be returning!

Just when we thought service was always going to be island style (very relaxed and a little slowwe discovered Paddles. You can expect to receive service to rival a US steak house here. Prices were reasonable, the food was good if a little under seasoned, but nothing a little salt and pepper couldnt fix. This is the must do restaurant experience in Samoa!

At first it seems a little pricey for Samoa, but then your food comes out and the serving is not only generous, but delicious. Service is excellent and it was tempting to eat here every night we were in Apia!

Place was packed when we went there, might be a good idea to book before going. The food was great and portions were big sized. Staff were very nice too.

Absolutely top notch service, in fact never before could I compare a dining experience to that of Paddles. Professional, friendly and really quick. Then there was the food. - authentic Italian food, and great value for money. Portions were massive and tasted amazing.

It is an exquisite place for fine dining right by the sea with a bit of sea breeze. Food is absolutely beautiful and whilst in local currency it would seem expensive once converted it is very cheap in terms of fine dining. I had the chicken and prawn crostini which was beautiful
