Padaria Urbana - Bakery in Faro, Portugal
Highly recommend getting breakfast or lunch here.Excellent food. Staff were super. Leaves nothing more to be desired. Even the prices were great.
The food is ok, but we waited 30 minutes to get our food and coffee. The English breakfast arrived cold, and forgot one of our coffee. They also brought orange juice by mistake. They forgot to give us knives and forks. The service is just poor here.
Utterly appaling. Avoid at all costs. Waited for nearly 50 minutes and my husbands brushetta arrived, nothing like advertised and the cheese was only melted on top, underneath still just cold grated cheese. Chaotic. Dont bother!!!
Fabulous breakfast & awesome service! Thank you!
We had a very good lunch menu. In the evening we came back for good wine. We had the Best parmesan pasta in the World. The Chef loves his Job. We will come back
Great breakfast. The size of the toast is excellent with a cheaper price. The cappuccino is also good.Having a real nice breakfast at Demo Urban.
Food was good, place was cute, the chef and staff where super friendly and nice.
I ordered the EUR 10 English breakfast. They missed out the cream cake that was advertised on the menu. I would have preferred to drink tea rather than coffee too.
Id put 6 stars if possible. We came here for breakfast and the restaurant caught our eye. We returned in the evening for their magnificent pastel de nata. Then we found out that they make awesomely good pasta in parmesan wheel. A deffinite recommend from me. Hope you like it too!
Really delicious food and great service! We ate famous "Pasta denata" and perfect pasta, and salad, Chef is a cool person! We recommend 100%, because also price is good, 8 EUR for starter, wine, dessert, and main dish ❤️
Fantastic dinner, very tasty and wonderful, friendly and helpful staff ❤️👌
How can you not be able to make a tosta mista in Portugal? We order 1 meter sandwich, we ate 10cm. Almost risking our own lives, hard to swallow, empty, dry… and from a bakery we expect better bread. Totally fail, never again.
The italian host is really friendly and welcoming, we had a nice sangria and delicious tagliatelle with parmesan. Will definitely come back
Coffee was cold, they forgot my order for 20 min, and When my order did arrive it was wrong.
Very cute café/breakfast place! Kind Service, cute interior, and of course, good Pastel de Nata! We loved it here, the toasted sandwiches are also wonderful, would recommend the goat cheese one. We will be coming back when we are in Faro again!
A bit overratedMost of the things in the Menu were not available - that too at 10:45 on Sunday morning. No fresh orange juice, no smoothies, no pancakesLiked: We liked the Galao (Flat whitecoffee and omelette.Didn’t like: Toast is overrated. If I am eating white bread - I prefer it full of butter - not dry which is hard to chew
Waited for more than 1h for our food, they did not have half of the menu available and the waiters did not know what was available or not, and have to go inside to double check every small question we asked… AND, you have to prepay so you cannot leave…! And to finish, they did not bring the right order after more than 1h… INCREDIBLE
A good place to have breakfast, the environment was good. The food was ok but it took long for it to arrive and in the meantime the coffee was getting cold while waiting for breakfast. There was no salt in the tomato on top of the toast. The door in the toilets doesn’t lock and I literally had to guard it for my friend to go.
Good value for money if you want a sandwich - they are quite large! Service was quite slow but we were tucked away in the corner! I would come back for lunch!
Had a lovely custard tart which was just divine and sat contemplating the weather. The cake slice was not to my taste but all in all a lovely little bakery located in a charming area of faro.
Tasty Portuguese bakery with French influence
Very nice bakery/coffeeshop, I had my breakfast there for a week, I really enjoyed the place !
Good place to sit. Price is good and a lot of locas around so then you know its good
Good service but food let it down. We have visited twice in previous years and it was much better then.
Great sandwiches, delicious bread.
This place was our favourite coffee shop in Faro but today we were all shocked to see how it went down. We came to eat the Salmon in cereal bread and Crepe but the cashier said, no cereal bread, no salmon and no crepe. So we said will take chicken sandwiches. We have never seen any poor sandwiches like those. Had very little chicken that had no taste. The Coca Cola was always in a nice bottle now in a can. Nothing special to bring us back. The cashier was so nice and hospitable though.
Disappointing. Expensive for such basic quality and really slow service. We ordered coffee, juice and toasts and had to WAIT 30 min. They didn’t even brought the drinks beforehand...
Great for a coffee, fresh juice and a sandwich at very reasonable prices, lots of inside seating to get you out of the sun, very good menu I included some photos. 5 Euro for my snack you can’t argue with that price. I knock off a point as the toilets are not great the gents is broken.
Wonderfully big portions of various toasts. Satisfying as breakfast.
Very affordable food, great for a late breakfast. Pasa de nata are heaven. Great toasted sandwiches but I recommend sharing one between two as they are enormous. Good coffee. Only reason for 4 stars is that the service can be painfully slow
1 hr wait and still no food - 40 minute wait just for water and two coffees - had to ask twice to get the drinks first otherwise would still be waiting. No apologies from the staff. We walked out after one hour of waiting without eating. Be careful before going here as they make you pay first as the service is so shockingly slow. Overall horrible customer service - manager behind till shouting at customers. All we ordered was two toasted sandwiches (should not take over 1hr)
The food is really good, but only take it to go unless you have a couple of hours to waste. We ordered coffee, lemonade and some sandwiches. 30 minutes later I went to ask what’s happening, they said it will only take a bit longer. Another 15 minutes later, we still hadn’t even gotten our drinks! I went to ask how long exactly making a coffee takes, only then they started making our coffee. They didn’t even apologize. After an hour of waiting, we got the wrong food order. There are so many good options around, avoid this cafe at all costs.
It is friendly place with good coffee but I find the pastries too sweet. It is not really clean as the waiter didnt cleaned the table where we had a seat. Also I advice you to put at the entrance naturel plants instead of plastic. It is too old fashion and it is not good for the environment.
The Demo bakery is a great place for a relaxing breakfast with a wide range of toasted treat and substantial English breakfast. The cappacino is especially good to share with an exotic red velvet cake - well recommended and catches the early morning sun.
Most delicious food for breakfast!!! I loved the vegetarian sandwich with a red bun. Tasted like heaven - no kidding! Very friendly and nice place! Definitely a Must Go in Faro!
Very cozy place with nice decoration! Food is really beautiful and attractive. However, the service is not so great, queues are long and cashier is complacent with people skipping the line... 😤
Really good value for money! We ordered a 25cm ham cheese & bacon toastie, their Urbano croissant, three natas and two coffees - came up to €16! The toastie was HUGE and tasted soooo good, definitely more than enough to feed 2 of us. Croissant was absolutely delicious, nice and light and the natas were very different, less eggy more sweet so really depends on your palette. The coffees (cappuccino and lattewere slightly disappointing , tasted like water but everything else made up for it honestly. It’s a lovely breakfast/brunch place and would definitely revisit if we’re here again :)
Amazing place!!! Waiter even brought out a table for us to sit outside. Food was delicuous and service is out of this world.
Very good place for breakfast! Saw some locals who were having coffee here as well. Would come here again! Also had a good conversation with one of their staff just before we left. Thanks for great service and food!
Service was nice but almond pudding cake tastes and smells like omelette. Lemon tartare was very dry and stale.
We went there for breakfast this morning and it was just awesome. Very nice service! They even are opened during the very early morning hours. They serve wonderful panini and smoothies. I highly recommend this place!
Lovely place to have lunch! Their toasties are huge 😱 and delicious! Lovely staff - excellent service - great price 👌🏼
Fantastic place for breakfast and quick bite, great coffee. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The best. The owner is very friendly and inviting, pastry is delicious, atmosphere inside is for your to stay forever. And the old port wine... Its simply a paradise for your tongue. You kinda feel like you found a long forgotten childhood here.
Best pastries in Algarve! A place is a must to go if you enjoy pastel de nata, almond cookies (almendradosand such. I believe they had biggest pastel de nata I had in Portugal actually and the taste was well balanced between sweetness, crispness and consistency. Make sure to come in the morning as the second time we came during the evening and they had no more of them left! I would also recommend almendrados as they simply melted in the mouth, so good.
Very nice looking place with amazing portuguese pastries and toasts. You can try typical pao de deus with ham & cheese or all the amazing sweet stuff!I ordered garotto (espresso with milkwhich was also very nice. They sell fresh juices and milkshakes as well. You can even watch how the bread is made. Im sure you wont be disappointed if you come here ;-)
Came in for breakfast, late was pretty good, brioche croissant as well. Sandwich was sightly disappointing.Priciping was more than reasonable (about 3euro total)Service was good and having breakfast in one of their outside tables is a pretty nice spot in the city center
Very nice place to have breakfast. They have soya milk for coffee, but once they made mistake and made our coffee with normal milk which I found out after one sip, my partner went to ask them but they said they are sure they made it of soya. So we left coffee that day there as they didn’t change it for us. So just be careful about that maybe, oh and if you gonna have a mocca then tell then no cream as they will put it on even if you ask for non diary milk. We had very tasty nut/raisins bread and some dark rolls which were vegan options. Would come back if in Faro again. We really enjoyed few mornings there. Not expensive at all either. It is very close to harbour and very cosy.
It s A lovely little get away in the city centre. The prices in the low season are incredibly reasonable. We enjoyed an espresso and a cafe latte. It has a modern feel with a local warmth and hospitality. The service was wonderful. The location is perfect for those touring around the city. The bathrooms are a bit "cozy". Padaria is wheelchair accessible. The bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible. I love the tables. You can adjust the tables to a desired height. The windows really invite the sun to partake in your meeting.
3 nights of staying Faro, 3 days of Breakfast in Padaria Urbana. Great place to enjoy 10:00 holiday breakfast and warm sunshine. Service is good, food is good☺️. Had really nice memory there. Love the little coffee shop☺️
