Pad Thai Too in Waterville

This might be the best Thai Food Ive ever had. I got the Basil Fried Rice with Tofu. The vegetables are great. The Tofu is crisp and flavorful. Really nicely done.

This place is honestly the best Thai I’ve ever had. I’ve ordered multiple times and every time the food is amazing. That says something. I know quality when I see it and you can tell that they really pride themselves in that sector. The yellow curry noodles are where’s its at. Try this place, then make sure to thank me for the recommendation.

Good food and a nice place to bring the family

"Woah!" Thats my first reaction after having Pik Pow Pad Thai with Shrimp. Wish I remembered what spice level I had (was either 7 or 10). First Pad Thai Ive had anywhere around so far where it actually made my nose run a little.My only downsides:1. The restaurant should accept dine in customers again because itd save on a 45 minute wait for just my one meal.2. I didnt get napkins in my bag 👀😱.

I dont know how they stay in business. Half of the time no one answers the phone for to go orders and the other half the wait time is so long you lose interest. If neither of these things happen, the food is good.

In all of my travels this has been some of the best food I have eaten. Not best Thai food, not Best Asian food, BEST FOOD. I wish I lived in that part of the country so I could go more often.

AMAZING! The best Thai food around. We love the staff and family who owns the business. Despite worker and food shortages, theyve made each meal spectacular. Be patient when wait times are high. Its worth it!

Food is always good but add 20 or 30 minutes to any quoted wait time.

Best Thai food in the area! Mango cashew nut with tofu is my favorite, but their pad Thai is great as well! Always fresh.

Truly the best genuine Pad Thia in the waterville area. Ive been lucky enough to discover new dishes on there menu over the years , and in doing so have never felt dissatisfied. 👍👍👍👍

Easily the best Pad Thai damned near anywhere in the state. I go out of my way to eat here anytime I pass Waterville. Seriously, stop here, its great.

Ok food, very non traditional... apparently they do not use fish sauce?! Ive never heard of this at a Thai place... the food seemed to be stepped down to "americanized" pallets... there version of tom kha "coconut soup" was very lacking.. thai food is supposed to be a balance of sweet, hot, sour, and salt... this was just hot and sour, barely any coconut flavor at all, plus it had broccoli in it? The spring rolls are called "fried egg rolls" on the menu, and the are using spring roll wrappers, not egg roll wrappers(big difference)... my pad thai came with a side of liquid palm sugar? Very strange... its almost like if someone who had never tried thai food before decided to google how to make thai food, and omitted ingredients they didnt like... the food wasnt bad, just a far cry from what you would expect...

This place is awful at answering the phone. The line is busy 90% of the time. I mean, when youre busy it makes sense. However I work near and will get a busy tone when I have just passed an empty restaurant. This is too bad because its good food but for what they ask me to pay, the customer service has to get better... Much better.

The food was amazing. I called an order in for takeout and it was an hour wait but totally worth it. The gentleman also told me that I could call ahead and set up a time that I could pick it up and they would do that too. Very accommodating

Good food but if you get take out check your package before leaving. You may not get everything you ordered.

The food is just ok! Does not seem it is cooked by true Thai chef!Fresh rolls were not authentic, we had two entries, low on flavor. Need real Thai lemon grass and galanga for true Thai taste. Needs improvement. Seating is bad and uncomfortable. Metal chairs on one side with comfy leather booth seating on the other. Impractical styling and decor!The waitress never heard of Sake which was disappointing!

My wife and I at the restaurant. They apparently have a good take out crowd as well, but we were very impressed by the use of space and decorations. The seats in the booths were okay, but one person is always gonna have to sit on a bench that has a bar in an awkward place in their back. It didnt take away from too much in my opinion.However, the food was very good! They make a crispy style noodle that isnt traditional from what I can tell but was heavily requested from other customers. I greatly enjoyed the Double Happiness I had. My wife and I both had a good experience and enjoyed what we ate.The restaurant even sells a few different types of sauces and spices that are in the realm of personal Thai cooking. We each bought a pair of neat chopsticks while we were there and they have been holding up nicely!We stopped here basically on a whim, but I would definitely recommend this place. I love trying out different Thai restaurants, and this one was definitely a hit.

We love Pad Thai Too. Our go-to is the dumpling pad Thai. Weve never had a bad meal. The wait can be a little long when theyre busy because everything is made to order, so we try to go early. Its well worth the wait, though.

5 star food.Loses one star for random hours. They have times but they close whenever they feel like it.Lose second star for the too bad so sad attitude if you mentions anything about them not sticking to the listed hours.

The food is superb. Best Thai in Maine? Could be. Service is definitely a weak point. You might have to ask for silverware or your drinks a second time. Your food will be served when it is ready without regards to other meals at the table. You may be nearly done eating when your partners get their food or vice versa. Beer and wine menu is clearly an afterthought. In the midst of greatest collection of craft breweries ever assembled you be lucky to find a beer worth drinking. Some genuine plonk on the wine menu. The food is superb.

A mixed experience... There were lots of foods on the menu that they did not have, including of all things brown rice. Either the waitron or the kitchen made many mistakes on our orders. The waitrons seemed a bit scattered overall. That said, the food was good tasting.

I always enjoy eating here and have brought many friends who have never even eaten Thai food before and walked away impressed and wanting to return. Everything is made fresh so you might have to wait for your meal, but its well worth it. Ive been going here for years now and Ive never had a bad meal or bad wait staff. One of them even covered my bill once when I misplaced my debit card. They even have some fun American takes on Thai food. And lots of gluten-free options, as well as dairy free and meat-free :-)

Absolutely delicious Thai food in a completely unexpected location. Menu is expansive and dishes are made to order - staff very responsive to specifics and spice desires. Food arrived promptly and with kind, courteous service. Filling portions are presented well.With a location right off the highway, it is a superior selection over the standard chain restaurants.

The two dishes that we ordered were flavored perfectly; just spicy enough but able to taste all the other flavors. Well try other dishes the next time! 👍

Food and service were very good, but I ate my lunch 3 feet away from a large dog. His owner kept tossing him food from his plate. I won’t be back until Pad Thai Too changes their policy allowing dogs in the restaurant.

Chicken in the green curry was almost raw and chewy. When I told the waitress she said nothing. I ate only 1 bite.Chicken wings were ok. Below average.

Such delicious food here. Everything is made to order, its so fresh. The new chairs are a great addition. They also have very inexpensive drinks. Overall love this place and the atmosphere!

They offer many recommendable meals. The best place to go for Thai dishes in Waterville and especially Pad Thai. The dining area is peaceful and clean. I hear they have a small kitchen, which plays into the long wait for meals during busy eating times. Rewards punch cards availible for discounts after $100 purchased.

Id love to give them a 5 star because of how great the food is...however, I feel when you order takeout, the food is a little less than dining in. Thats how much I love their food. Its real authentic thai good. I feel like I cant get enough; especially their basil fried rice. I wish I could have it whenever I wanted but with their schedule, it sucks.

Very happy with our app and dinners: Mango and Shrimp spring rolls, House Pad Thai and Duck noodle bowl. The noodle bowl had a delicious broth! The Pad Thai was very good, I had shrimp. It also had some tofu in it, Im not sure if that was intended, but good!! We will be back!

I initially gave this restaurant 3 stars only because the food is good, however, as of today (August 14, 2018Ive decided I will no longer patronize this business, this place is incredibly slow, I just called to place an order for takeout and was told it would be an "an hour and a half" for my order! What a joke! On a Saturday evening (they open at 4pmdefinitely expect an hour to an hour and a half minimum wait to get your takeout! Its also not unusual for the place to close down for days or weeks when the owners decide to take a vacation. I stopped going there because I never knew when, what day or for how long they would be open! Save yourself the headache and go to Asian Cafe in Winslow at least they have normal business hours and the food is excellent!

Service is painfully slow..expect to wait 2 hours for your food ! When we inquired about our order , we were offered no apology and rudely told that was the norm. Food is good but definitely NOT worth the wait!

Extremely slow food service. Expect at least 60 to 90 minutes to get your food if all of the tables are full. Also the wait server was not 1. Not informative about long wait times 2. Semi sassy 3. Very inattentiveAlso the food came one entry at a time.Only positive is the food was good.

Horrible service. The server was very sassy and it took over 2 hours to get our food. When asking what was going on with the wait time it was a very rude response, she even walked away mumbling something under her breath as if we were in the wrong for asking. Opposed to the food being decent and being hungry I would have walked out.

A pleasant surprise -- decent Thai food at a place that is much more appealing on the inside than the exterior might suggest. The duck bowl was a treat, and the pad Thai one of my companions had was good, too. More than enough for lunch. Pleasant service. Ive been in and out of Waterville for the past ten years and never visited before. I will again.

Simply delicious! The meal started off with spicy quick, wok-fried green beans and an order of Samosa (potatoes with spices in flaky dough, lightly fried. A lot of well-balanced spices and flavor in everything we had. The cucumber, carrot and red onion relish with the Samosa was a delight. Entrees were Khao Soi (sweet and spicy@ level 1 spice was the best of 3 outstanding dishes followed by Gaeng Phed Ped Yang (duck@ spice level 3. Also had intense smokey flavored Basil Fried Rice @ spice level 5. If you love Thai: visit Pad Thai Too!!!

Loved it. I was in Waterville 2 days and I had dinner and lunch there. They have vegan options, healthy substitutes such as brown rice and fresh ingredients. The coconut soup is amazing and I tried I rice dish with brown rice. Beyond happy! I’ll come back!

Everyone is always talking about how incredible the food is from here. I was severely underwhelmed by lack of any flavor much less dimension to everything I tried. My favorite part of thai food is the combination of sweet, Spicey, and crunchy . These aspects were not present.The soup tasted like water. The noodle dish had zero flavor and the homemade (?Samosas were ok. I had my boyfriend try it to make sure I hadnt juat lost my sense of taste suddenly . He was surprised by how bland or was. Sorry. I dont usually like to leave bad reviews but Im not quite sure what all the hype is about really.

My food was... Let’s just say overcooked.I ordered Chicken dumplings that tasted like fish for some reason, they unfortunately ended up in the trash. The presentation of the food was good everything looked amazing but slacking in the taste department.

As a frequent traveler to Thailand, I always find comfort in Pad Thai Too. The staff are always friendly and the food is impeccably top notch. Ive seen some reviews that complain about wait times, and to them I ask this, was Rome built in a day? I always make it a top priority to stop in whenever Im in town as it is sure to make any average day great.

This is the best place for miles around to get a delicious, vegan meal. The staff is always pleasant and attentive. Id take a star off for the short hours, but I cant... the food is just that good!

The food here was very good. We ordered Chicken Satay, Fresh Rolls, Chicken Pad Thai, Duck Bowl and Lemongrass Soup. All were quite tasty. The only issue we had was that the service was a little slow and they were not very busy at the time.

Super fresh, creative dishes and delicious food! The sort of place that you might expect to find thriving in a trendy city restaurant district, but instead on the strip in Waterville.

The food is great, drinks are tasty, however my wife was told they were out of cranberry juice, instead of offering an alternative the waitress made her wait 20 minutes to make her order. The topic that I find lacking is the atmosphere in the restaurant. You will have a long wait for the food as it is prepared individual basis FYI, the seating and the ambiance went down. No background music, and the tables and chairs are the most uncomfortable I have seen! I would encourage take out.

Everybody and their mother chooses Pad Thai Too over anything else. Best thai food Ive had from Portland to Bangor. They do it right here. I order out religiously. I always order the fired dumplings usually with Pad See Ew or chick Pad Thai. Youll like anything on the menu. Friendly staff, great service.
