Want to feel like hanging with the locals?This spot was for me. Quaint bar with no frills. Great selection of local beers from the island as well as a extensive menu of tapas. I tried the crab filled pastellios and they were crabby!! Sat on the patio and enjoyed the people watching.

From a tourists perspective, this place is a 10/10 spend an hour every night here kind of a bar because of its simple charm and blend of locals and tourists. It’s a small space with a great atmosphere inside, and as it fills up most people hang out on the street/sidewalk with their food and drinks. The bar tender is super friendly and the fish tacos are excellent (and bigger than we had expected).

Hidden neighborhood gem located of the popular Calle Loiza. Besides a welcoming neighborhood dive bar find the place really shines with their food. They serve everything from fish tacos to empenadas to bacon cheese balls. Make sure you check out their hot sauce collection.

Amazing food and incredible drinks. Any bartender that drops "Da Bomb " from @hot ones when I ask for a spicy margarita is Da Bomb in my book. Great prices. A must see in Puerto Rico. To quote Arnold Schwarzenegger, "Ill be baaack!"

Such a great surprise. Food was delicious and the service was fun. Its more of a bar but the food was cooked fresh and was super flavorsome. We loved the bacon balls, the steak bites and the loaded fries. The atmosphere was great.

The owner is Amazing.... definitely a jewel hidden in San Juan.

Really cool small local rest/bar they open @4pm wednesdays to sundays, the drinks are amazing with lots of west coast flavor and love. The food is delicious they use a lot of west coast ingredients. Nothing like it in calle loiza.

Pal West has become a Calle Loiza staple for locals and tourists not only for the beach shack ambience and chill vibe but for the food. I’d recommend anything in the menu, it’s that good! Recipes brought from the west side of the island that you won’t get anywhere near, or ever, honestly.

Fish tacos and spicy crab tacos are worth the trip to Pal West. I ordered the house drink, playa susia I believe its called. Gin based with tamarind. Very tasty. Cost was $20, but no receipt. I gave my card to the bartender and that was what he told me. Im pretty sure he was an honest guy. 😉

Took over half an hour to get our order. Food wasnt even that good. Friends good the same amount of food and it took not even ten minutes. Never again. Good environment though.
