Albert Dock, Liverpool L3 4AD, United Kingdom, Liverpool
Vaulted brick space with banquettes, plush booths and tables for British cuisine and cocktails.
I booked a table for my birthday and it was absolutely the worse meal I ever had the sirloin steak rare was covered in salt that I nearly threw up and my friend also meals were all salty they gave me a replacement and that was so well done I thought I was eating a leather sole of a shoe do not go there
A really nice restaurant/bar in a great location. Staff were very attentive and polite. A good selection of drinks and the food was lovely.Once we’d finished our meals we headed into the bar area and played some pool. It’s good how the bar is separate from the restaurant and it was equally as impressive.Everywhere was clean.Highly recommended if you’re in Liverpool and worth the walk down to the docks if you’re in the centre.
So after reading rave reviews decided to try Panam on the 2nd October. As you can tell by the two stars, it didnt live up to the hype.As a group, we ordered ribs, fish & chips and Jambalya. Not one of the meals was great. While the ribs tasted nice the side of chips was cold. The fish was greasy and the jambalaya had clearly been reheated in a microwave. While the restaurant was busy and clearly understaffed I still expect my food to be cooked properly. For anybody wondering why we didnt reorder, we were heading to the Arena for a concert and would have been late even though we arrived at half past 5, as I say the place was busy. The under cooked food resulted in two out of the three of us being ill that night. After having the bill literally thrown at our table it was clear that the serving staff just wanted to get their shift over and done with. I can only highlight 2 members of staff for giving good service, the lad on the first bar as you walk in (sorry I didnt get your nameand Lewis. Honestly Lewis deserves a raise for his attitude and problem solving. The whole experience was disappointing and I will not be returning.
Had a wonderful Saturday night at Panam. Ordered the Vegan garlic bread and pea risotto and it did not disappoint. Hubby had the steak which he said was cooked to perfection. Atmosphere was great and staff equally as good. We will definitely be going back when we visit Liverpool.
The food was pretty good, service was great.Only issue I had was the onion in my burger still had its skin on so was a little off putting. However after fishing it out of my burger the food was good & the service was great. We were able to split the bill at the end easily too which is always good when you all want to pay separately.
Great food lovely venue, awesome staff.
Excellent food. Lovely atmosphere. Great staff
Great food, just be aware of the additional service charge on the bill.We asked for it to be removed as we werent made aware of it before booking. But as I said the food was great.
As a family we went for lunch and had an amazing meal and the service was excellent thanks to the amazing team who work there.
Service was great and really enjoyed all the food. Thought it was quite expensive, especially the drinks. Music was really loud, so difficult to chat. Also didnt like the 10% service charge which isnt mentioned when you book or on the menu.
Great restaurant and bar right on waterside at the Great Albert Dock in liverpool, plenty of choice on the menue at very reasonable prices outdoor seating area to sit out on a hot sunny day as it was when we visited, staff spot on keeping you well stocked up with drinks and food, we are regular visitors to the Albert Dock so we will definitely be visiting this excellent restaurant again .
Lovely atmosphere. We sat outside with a lovely view of Albert Dock as the sun was setting. Good food, good service and a little background music
Food was delicious and the staff are so helpful. I use a wheelchair and so they always give me and my friend a table close to the disabled toilet which shows that they are very considerate. Will definitely go back again 😊
Great place, food was nice staff were Friendly. Would recommend. 👍
Nice views nice service but portions arnt the best in this place very small unlike the bill which was steep. Not much for vegetarians or vegans bit of a poor food menu would Im sure it may change.
Arrived for late lunch. Nice friendly place, good choice of food at good prices. Caribbean curry was delicious
It is a lovely place to have a drink. We had our lunch and none of us like our food (we were 5). The service is ok, it took very long to get our order, to serve us our drinks and food wasnt the greatest. If you go for a drink or a snack I think it is a great place to be.
Excellent excellent place, fantastic service. We are so so glad that the other restaurant turned us away with the lamest excuse. This place is lovely lovely! All the food is good even though the menu has everything from Korean to Southern American.
This has got to be one of the best restaurants Ive every been to!The staff are lovely and really helpful. The food... Well alls Im going to say is I didnt leave a single drop on my plate 😁 just beautiful! Will definitely be going again.
Great restaurant, friendly staff and lovely food. We went as a large group for a hen night and there were no issues, nothing was too much trouble. We were able to dress the table before the hen arrived. If I remember rightly our waiter was Oliver and he was very polite and had a great sense of humour. Thanks for a great night PANAM.
Really nice place inside and fab views over the lock at the outside dining area. I found the food and drink choice great. When sitting at an outside table you can order with your phone on the app scanning the qr code of the table. My only issue with this was the lack of food ordering. This has to be done inside.Inside you have a very nice dinning area decorated very well with a low light feel. Pool tables towards the back and a bar area. Toilets are downstairs and disabled ones are available on the ground level. Pricing is mid to high but I couldnt fault there food or drink.
Walked in as I was passing liked the look of the menu.Lovely building in a great setting, fantastic staff giving a fantastic service and to top it all a fair meal, thank you and I look forward to coming back.
We were there on a weekend, and it was very clear they were too busy and the service suffered. We waited a long time for our food. It might be better during the week, when the Royal Albert Dock is less frenetic.
I have visited this venue on many, many occasions since its opening over 20 years ago. Few people know that this was the original studio for "This Morning" with Richard Madeley and Judy Finnegan broadcasting between 1988 to 1996.Now one of the Citys most renowned and respected venues PANAM Restaurant and Bar has hosted a plethora of high profile events yet continues to be the Albert Docks most vibrant and iconic restaurant. You will be wise to book well in advance and I recommend requesting upstairs seating for a quieter, more intimate meal. Downstairs is fabulously lively and a little less formal for those looking to enjoy a few cocktails and a superb meal. The Service is first class, knowledgeable, polite and attentive staff are keen to recommend the menus offerings and prices are at the upper end of very reasonable. Overall this has to be a place not to be missed - a veritable cut above its neighbourly competitors - you will be so glad you took the time to read my review 😁 and will undoubtedly return time and time again - a Sensational 5 Stars ✨
I met my work colleagues at this restaurant. The setting is really nice. The staff are very pleasant and are always asking each table if everything is fine. The food looked very nice and well presented. Was packed out as there was a concert somewhere in the centre of Liverpool. Even though it was very busy, the service was also very good.
Decent quality food, but perhaps a little on the expensive side given the portion sizes. Would have liked a better (broaderselection of draught beer, too.
We had the bottomless brunch - it was excellent value for money. Leo and Monica waited on our table and couldnt have been more helpful - thank you, it was a great experience all round.
Food is great , fish & ships is delicious.Service is slow , I think they are under staff.
The food was okay and the service was nice! The drink was fabulous
Good position in Albert Dock Liverpool. Very spacious. Service is quick depending on staff numbers. Always busy with good menu choices. Went twice in same week so must be good! Prices reasonable.
We went for a bottomless brunch on a hen party. It was lovely from start to finish. Beautiful view of the docks. Glasses were full all the time we were there. Food was lovely. Like the fact there were some nice things to choose from. I had the chicken burger. It was gorgeous. Though the steak alot had looked lovely too. Will definitely return.
Exquisite and mouth watering English breakfast which made my stay memorable in Liverpool.
Very nice venue after a long walk through the docks.I love the industrial interior.Service was very kind.Meals were very delicious - had the black bun burger with blue cheese - delicious (if you like blue cheese of course, it is very strong)Would definitely recommend visiting this place and take a look into the menue. They have a big variety.
Jambalaya was perfect - calamari, prawn, muscles etc and the spicy rice. Washed down with a pint of Panam larger. Meal and drink for about £25 but worth it. Friendly staff and spacious too. Walked in from Dock entrance to find place was bigger than it looked.
Food was really good. Came here for my Dads 60th. Squid was delicious as was the burger
I wish we would have stopped and ate here sooner!!! The Halloumi fries are to die for. My husband and I decided to stop here so we could share the Ultimate Platter and it was plenty. I had a ginger beer for a drink and my husband had two Panam Four beers, he would highly recommend because they were so smooth to the taste. We were full, but couldn’t go without trying their dessert so we shared a Wild berry Cheesecake. Don’t pass this place up if you are in the area. We had great service, all of the dishes they brought out looked delicious and I don’t think this restaurant should have $$$. We ate at a more expensive place a couple of days ago and it was more expensive than this. This place is reasonable for two and totally worth it!
Food is amazing. Good selection of drinks and cocktails. It wasnt the best old fashioned Ive had but it was definitely worth the visit
Ohh what a brilliant time we had the bottlemless brunch food was amazing drinks kept coming we all loved it deffo going back well worth the money staff amazing....
Dined here with my partner. A lovely restaurant with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Food was 10/10 and the staff are really friendly and know when to leave you be. Would definitely return on our next visit to Liverpool
Food was lovely staff were great..A little dark in the area were we were seated
Was pleased that we didnt need a booking to get in, its cozy and a lovely atmosphere inside despite a long wait. One dish was too cold on arrival , asked to reheat and ended up waiting another 15-20 minutes for them to cook another from scratch, while the rest of the food was going cold watching my friend finish her meal. It would have been nice to be asked or just reheat as requested
We visited Panam for the Bottomless Brunch for a friends hen do last weekend. The brunch was great, two courses starting with a lovely brunch platter (picturedfollowed by a good meal selection afterwards. You could have fizz or aperol spritz as the drink options. The service could have been a little quicker however we were a very big group so understandable.
Beautiful meal eaten here. Attentive staff. Lovely relaxing atmosphere in a beautiful setting. Not too long to wait for food. Perfectly cooked and delicately served. Would highly recommend dining here.
Delicious food and a beautiful ambiance! I had the duck salad and it was so good and really plentiful. Plenty of the vegan duck which made it good for a healthy dinner. I also had the brownie! Also a tasty vegan dessert option.
Omg where to start 3 of us the staff were excellent made us feel at relaxed and comfortable. The portions are huge, got starters and mains but one or other would have been sufficient. Definitely visit again when in Liverpool.
First time We visited Panam, We really enjoyed Our time here, even the place was busy on the Sunday afternoon , We were still able to get a table, Joe and Jake looked after Us, and We really appreciated it. Great sized and also very delicious dish , the atmosphere was also great. We deffinetley be back. Just can Recommend for everyone. Prices more than expectional.
First visit here today and we had the Bottomless Brunch. Friendly, helpful staff, lovely surroundings. Food was really good and the drinks selection was good. I have had Bottomless Brunch in a few different places and Pan Am is the best by far.
Visited Panam last week while shopping in Liverpool. Seated immediately and told how to order online. We ordered drinks first and they came promptly. Clean tables and nice outdoor eating area.Ordered mains, salmon salad which was a huge portion and really nice. The fish and chips as well which was also really good and crispy. I went for the down and dirty burger for my main this was really good and cooked medium/well as I requested. the potato fries were lovely. Good drinks selection. Great place to visit if youre wanting a good quality burger and fries.I do feel sorry for the servers as they cant really be true hosts and must lose out on tips. Overall this place is really nice and would highly recommend. 5 star!
Lovely location, nice and spacious, loved the interior, very relaxing. Great food, some of the dishes are a bit expensive. I had a cocktail, it was very poor, it was more like an ice cocktail. The staff are pleasant and efficient.
We stumbled across PANAM as we were walking around the docks looking for somewhere nice to have lunch. The menu suited both me and and my husband and prices were very reasonable. The food was amazing, I usually try to go for gluten free dishes due to intolerance, but I couldnt resist this garlic mushroom pasta dish. It was 100% worth the indigestion later in the day! Would definitely visit again and have the same dish again!! The staff were all very friendly and helpful too. 😊
