I love this market. LOCAL PEOPLE very nice. THANKS SO MUCH. and I will comeback Laos soon.
HUGE local market. Very traditional Lao wet market selling everything imaginable. Good place to buy Mekong fish.
Pakse MarkePakse Market is the largest market in Champasak province. Crowded and diverse types of goods.
The dining area is good. Some spots in the market smell pretty bad - but thats expected... but not some of the smells. Wow. Everything is available here though - ingredients, fruit, veg, meat, fish, tools, clothes, shoes, gold... everything!!
Its a big market where most products are from Vietnam, Thailand and China. My sisters shop also do fashion wholesale for woman.
Market includes different kinds of goods, fresh products, materials, clothes, restaurant
Go in the morning as in the afternoon you can smell the meat & fish sitting in the heat. Fantastic range of fruits, vegetables, meats etc & clothes.
Routine market of local
Huge choice of fresh food
Interesting but typical southeast Asian market. You can buy good and cheap fruit there and get a feeling of how meat and fish is sold in these countries. Also, some clothes and other things for sale.
Lots of food and very bigWill come and have a look more next time
Dirty and raw but I love that!
Nice Market. Here you can find everything (meat, veg, spices, clothes and so onand see a bit of the Laos culture. What they normally eat, buy and how they deal to each other.I went when it was raining. It was a mess, however funny.
Can get Laos food here, shopping is fine. Miss this place and would be in touch again.
You can get everything you want. Nice, friendly and helpful people.
Big but too dark in side.
Huge local morning wet market. Easily get your cooking ingredients here.
Huge market.A lot of vendors are Vietnamese.Almost of stuffs are not expensive.
You arrive here if you come from lao border (25 000 kip, 1hor Champasak (20 000 kip, 1h). We ate nice noodle soup (10 000 kipand you can find all kind of fruits, vegetables, bread etc... You can easily find a tuk-tuk to the southern bus terminal (10 000 kip / perwhich is 8kms from here.
Big market.Good for take fresh food.
huge local market where people gathering from early morning to sale different kind of fish and vegetables.you can find most of everything but i would say banded closthes are very simple and its not a brandy one u would find here so in case if you want to buy a better one go other shopping more.i usually prefer to mekong fish here in the easrly morning because most of them are fresh
I didnt explore this big market fully but mainly food section.. If you saw an asian market before, its similar, if you never saw just go and enjoy the sights smells, and some surprises...Went for lunch too, large choice, tasty meals, good prices... Otherwise i had a look on clothes section.. Looks like everything is chinese...Bargain!
I couldnt really tell you where this market ends, and the "new market" begins. Its all one big mess of part covered market, and part open-air market. Popular with locals in the morning, but so is every market anywhere, so what makes this one special? Who knows.
Love this place. When in Pakse, you have to visit this market. Fresh fruits, veggies, meat, fish and everything in between. But what makes this market so good is the people watching. Go to the food court, order some meal and enjoy as you watch the world go by.
Huge market which is easy to get lost in. Sadly none of the clothes were big enough for me.
Very busy market. Many things to eat. Have to visit for your local breakfast.
Local market for local people. You might get culture shock here if you see the way they present their food.
Same old. Bigger central market far better.
The center of pakse. Places to visit.
Like many of the good Talats around Laos, this one fails to disappoint whilst still giving the occasional surprise. All kinds of fruit, vegetables, & meat lay as far as you can see, along with a vast selection of social and formal clothing to be had.Certainly worth the trip, though too few can bargin with you in English.
Bustling city center market. Colorful. Worth an exploration and a chance to get lost!
Large number of stalls but prices for foreigners are very inflated. Worth checking first at Friendship Supetmarket nearby for fixed price values. I got a baby sun hat at Friendship for LAK30000 after being asked 50k in market!
Biggest market in Southern Laos, wet market but also prepared foods and clothes, household goods, if this was the only place in town [like most single market towns] youd still be ok
One of the biggest markets in Laos. You will find food here you have not seen before and never thought its good to eat.
Best market I have seen in south east Asia after 2 month backpacking. A lot of fresh things ( fish, frogs and chicken still alive ). Food, meat, fish, fruits, shoes, t-shirts, phones, jewels... Everything is there
Various vegetables, unknown fishes, clothes, souvenir, miscellaneous goods… Here is very exiting place. So i like to wander around local market and watching. In east of market there is a mini-bus station to go border or champhasak and other area.2016-12
This market is a shopping mall in Pakse. Here, you will find a lot of local made souvenir.
Not much to do but you can get to see the locals way of life
One of the biggest markets in SEA. Ok not the cleanest or with a great variety of products but interesting if you are in pakse. Its divided in different areas for meat, fruit, food stalls, clothes and household goods.
