The food was very good and when we mentioned that the curry was a little bit too spicy for us they were happy to redo it again. Very polite and fast service. One of the best Indian food restaurants I have been in Taipei. I will definitely go back.

The flavour was good, and the staff were attentive. It was nice to try a few other authentic dishes, in addition to the classic curries.

All the dishes were super good, really tasty! Exactly what my buddy and I was craving for! In love with the butter chicken and Punjabi Tikki Chole (potato cake)!!! They are bomb!!Servers are all very nice, especially the lady who’s very caring and patient to explain every dish to us!Definitely will come back again and 100% will recommend friends to come! 👍

We walked away with full bellies, really couldn’t ask for a better Sunday dinner! This is a cozy little restaurant close to Sun Yat Sen memorial hall station. We enjoyed the tandoor chicken, eggplant curry 炭烤茄子咖哩, and gosht nalli 燉小羊膝.The tandoori chicken is definitely one of the best I’ve had, and this is including other local Punjabi restaurants and ones I’ve had in Vancouver. It was tender, moist, succulent, Smoky and slightly charred all in one👌. A great appetizer to start the meal!We also had the eggplant curry, which from what I understand is basically smoky eggplants; it was slightly sweet and tangy, which was perfect with the basmati rice and naan. I think this is a great dish even for those who aren’t big fans of eggplant, since the smokiness and sweetness will overpower the bitterness of eggplants and the texture was more creamy not spongy.We also had the gosht nalli, recommended by our lovely server. This dish was new to us, it came in the perfect portion for two and had two big lamb chops in the curry. The meat came right off the bone and didn’t have much of a strong odor (that can sometimes come with lamb). The curry itself had a slight kick to it so it went tremendously well with some rice.Last but not least, we enjoyed the complimentary panipuri at the end of our meal! Since this dish had mint in it, I found it to be quite a good palette cleanser! Sadly we were too full so didn’t get to enjoy dessert but hopefully we’ll get a chance on our next visit!Forgot to add, their plain naan was amazing! It wasn’t dry and was actually bubbly, chewy and quite fluffy~Make sure to make reservations beforehand! Had a great evening so thank you Oye, and the lovely server and beautiful owner! Don’t have a lot of photos, we were too busy stuffing ourselves 😅

Fantastic food! The service was pretty nice, too. However, this place is pretty tiny, make sure to reserve the seat ahead.

Best Indian food Ive had in Taiwan. Everything was delicious, highly recommend the Tikka chicken masala and Murg Afghani kebab; the owner is very friendly and attentive. It gets quite busy there so best to book in advance. Will definitely visit again soon.

She is the reason Im taking the time to write this review (plus the amazing food of course).Masala Papad: This is soooooo good. Ive never had papad like this, but we loved it so much that we started JUST ordering this on UberEats when we want a snack. We even ordered it because we were craving it so much after having a full dinner at home from another restaurant one day. Its like papad but the papad is fried (I thinkso its more aromatic, paired with the fresh onions, tomatoes, and spices... its just gold. Highly recommend!Butter Chicken: Slightly sweet, but thats all butter chicken. Its not too heavy and very delicious.Chicken Vindaloo: This is not really on the menu. They have Lamb Vindaloo but kindly cooked it with chicken for us. This is one of my favorite Indian dishes (Chicken Vindalooand Ive scoured all of Taipei looking for it. Id recommend getting it at least medium spicy and every very spicy if you can handle the heat! The "small" spicy really didnt taste spicy to me, but the super loverly owner came around to check and took it back to make it more spicy for me. <3Puri Bani: I dont think this is on the menu but we saw the table next to us order it and they said it was really good so we got an order too. I loved it very much. The green juice that your pour in is "herby" and a little minty/refreshing, and the crust just gets more flavorful the more you chew on it.The Mango Lassi was really on point as well. Overall this skyrocketed to being one of my favorite India restaurants in Taipei. Thank you!

Wonderful traditional Indian cuisine with excellent service. The food reminds me of home cooking. As a woman with Indian heritage living in the Caribbean we know quality food when we taste those exotic spices. The food is served with so much love. Thanks for an amazing experience.

Really tasty India food in Taipei, rolled chicken and fish are fresh and spices are well, not only smell good but delicious. We ordered two kind of curry one of traditional goat and the other one is chicken. Both are awesome, however, I thought chicken one is little bit too greasy. All staffs are kind and service well, whole space is really small and seat is a little bit crowded but still can accept. Suggest guys to book seat before you visit here. Good place I will be there next time!

Great food and service. One advice, please make sure there’s a proper gap/distance between the desk and the windows because auto open door always hit the elbow of the diner who sit besides the windows (and it hurts!my friend was hit twice today😂

I have been to several Indian restaurants in Taipei. But so far, Oye Punjabi has always been my favorite one! I think you shouldnt miss the awesome taste from Murg Tangdi Kebab (starter), Murg Kadai Chicken Curry, and the great naan! Surprisingly, we also got some complementaries like panipuri and the special indian ice cream! What a great day! Def will come back again!

A small restaurant with a nice vibe, great food and amazing service. The staff was very friendly, helpful and detailed in providing information in regards to my allergens (in both English and Mandarin). The food was delicious, and we even got a complementary Pani Puri dish which I had never tried before.

Very nice.Finally some authentic South Asian food....My favourite is the hot masala tea.

A small cozy restaurant with Indian decor in the east district of Taipei. We had tandoori chicken, lamb with spinach, prawn curry and butter chicken. Everything was really delicious, meat were fresh especially the lamb with spinach. Butter chicken was bit too sweet and the friendly and efficient quarter came and checked on us and make it less sweet and more spicy, we were very grateful for that. You should come and try.

[The dishes I recommend]“Murg Kadai”According to the owner, it’s like chicken tikka masala with more variety of spices and the taste being stronger. It was above my expectation. Strongly recommended.“Samosa Chaat”This is an alternative samosa which shape is nothing similar to that of the world-famous samosa. Never seen, but tasted really good. Check out my photo. It’s being spread on a plate, largely consisted of potato. FYI, this dish doesn’t exist in Balle Balle, the restaurant of husband’s.“Jeera Rice”Cumin seeds are mixed among thin rice - they contribute with nice scent.“Butter Naan”. Awesome.“Garlic Naan”. Very good...[The dish I don’t recommend]“Mutton Roganjosh”I know it’s only my personal preference against mutton. I normally don’t order mutton dish in general but sometimes I end up liking it when I, or other people ordered it, especially when its smell was got rid of well. So I wanted to give it a try this time.However, I realized that this one was not for me. On the other hand, my friend liked it. So if you’re a fan of mutton or lamb, go for it...A bit dark inside the restaurant, but it gave some relaxed atmosphere, and staffs were pleasant and helpful.The whole restaurant and toilet was clean.I’m excited to come back here to repeat what I liked this time, and to try some of the rest.

So far this is one of the best tasting Indian restaurants in taipei I been to. It’s pretty authentic from the biryani to the curry. And the samosas are awesome as well!

Delicious! We had Gosht Rahra - the mutton was tender and the taste was very nice, with a kick of ginger. Love it! Murgh Hariyali - chicken was roasted in tandoori first and the spinach curry sauce was equally tasty. Machili Tikka - fish in tandoori was juicy. Peas Pulao - the rice was fragrant. And the garlic naan, mango lassi, masala tea... all quenched our thirst for Indian cuisine!

Excellent food, my favorite Indian restaurant in Taipei. Ive had Indian food all over the world including India and this places food is certainly world class.

We came for the naan and stayed for the spices! Throughout the meal we were well taken care of by the friendly staff, who made us feel very welcomed! For anyone who’s thinking of trying Indian cuisine, this is the place for you!

They have all kinds of Indian curry and all of them are very tasty! Personally I love their milk tea too, we enjoyed our time there!

Great service, great food and very nice atmosphere. Very good selection of Indian songs playing in the background as well. The female Indian server was very nice and she offered to give suggestions on what to eat on the menu (this will be good especially for those who are new and unfamiliar to Indian cuisine)I believe it is one of the best Indian restaurants in Taipei in terms of taste and hygiene. 11/10 would recommend and would definitely come back in the near future.

Really kind owner who explained the food to us, offered to make suggestions and checked if the spice levels were okay. We ordered mango Lassi, chicken, vegetable samosas (very large and filling potato samosas), paneer spinach curry, garlic naan (delicious and soft), and paratha (a little dry). Menu is in english and Chinese. Fast service!

Delicious Indian food with a variety of dishes to choose from the menu (a bilingual one always helps!). The owners are Indian and speak fluent Chinese while the staff are well trained to introduce and serve the Indian food. Group meals are available. You can choose how spicy you want the curry to be. We ordered the authentic Indian spiciness though it turned out to be quite mild to us.

A wonderful experience! The Indian restaurant owner was very accommodating with our Vegetarian Curry request. It’s my father’s first Indian cuisine experience and he was very impressed. Must try the Chicken Tikka!

Very authentic Indian restaurant. Be warned theyll make your food very spicy. We had 7 out of 10 and it was quite hot. The chicken kabob was the highlight. Bryanni and spinach lamb were also great. All of their food and drinks are very flavorful. We will certainly come back!

Very decent curry, chicken was tender and not over cooked, mango lassi fresh and strong, dal tadka full of flavor although I would like more herbs, masala tea definitely too light, probably adjusted to Taiwanese taste, the place is almost always full and quite small but clean, neat and seating is very comfortable and cosy. Shoutout to the beautiful Indian serving lady; smile more lovely! :)

I wish I’d have found this place sooner!! Hands-down one of my favorite restaurants in Taipei. This is the most authentic Indian food I’ve had in east asia. The service is good and every friend I’ve brought was not disappointed. The chicken dishes and curries are especially great. I had the palak paneer and the cheese was super fresh.
