Owen Brennan's in Memphis

Cassie, Troy and Roy are awesome! The food and drinks were on point today, as always! My 4 stars would have been 5, but the music...well, it leaves quite a bit to be desired. I felt like I was eating in an elevator 🙄 😴

Brunch was delicious!!! It was our 1st time going there, and it was better than we expected!! Its for sure on our favorites list

Best Sunday brunch in town. Delicious food. It is not cheap but high quality food.

Went out to brunch with family and decided to come and check out the hype. Unfortunately it was not as good as what was expected. I tried it though would not go again, we pay a premium price for what is mediocre we would have done better going to Golden Corral.

I wanted to take my aunt (83 years oldout to talk to her about the heritage and lineage of our family. I love to hear about some of our deceased family. How they lived and played is interesting to me. We visited this restaurant some 20 years ago when it was not Owen Brennan. My aunt says that it was called "The Plantation". It was just as memorable. The jazz musicians are still a great attraction. Zee and Vee enjoyed the brunch and will be back. We even met a new friend.

We celebrated my Mothers 80th birthday last night with family that had traveled in from out of state. While we enjoyed our time together the service and food at Brennans was a huge disappointment. My daughters entree was so salty it was near unedible. I asked for a cup of coffee after our meal. I had to ask a second time when our waitress never brought it and had the same go around when I needed a refill. The restaurant wasnt slammed so I dont know what was going on. The wait staff was distracted and seemed inexperienced. Too much $$ for this type of experience. Wont be back.

Fast and repetitive service.Maintaining a extremely high class / full caliber of service.They do rotate people to maintain speed and time which toe shows attentiveness and passionate maintenance.Jordan and her crew are FING phenomenalA1All day and night even with a 750$ table from out of town.Treat them well, they deserve it

Great food but, they ran out of just about everything (even the white rice for etouffeebesides made to order eggs. Was taken back a bit when server told us that if we had arrived earlier there would have been better choices and plenty of food....

Oyster was good but the gumbo soup didn’t agree with my stomach. Not sure if it was old but after eating it, 2 hours later I had the BG. I call to speak with the manager and she was rude as hell. Like I was lying. All she said was no one else complain about it. She was rude . FYI don’t get the gumbo soup!

It was a fantastic Brunch experience! Please be sure to visit Shorty the Omelette Chef. Not only does he feed the body his conversation feeds the soul. The food was absolutely amazing and the kids loved the variety. Its a bit pricey but worth it and 5 and under eat free

Brunch was fantastic! Great atmosphere, excellent service. Oh, and did I mention the brunch is outstanding!Definitely on my must-do list when visiting Memphis again!

Its not a brunch its an experience. One of the few places you can come inside, sit down, and be transported to another place. You really feel like your in New Orleans at brunch. Amazing.

Bland and over priced. Every thing was cold and they barely bringing food out. The lemonade and orange juice even tasted like water will not be returning very disappointed and my father was excited about going here for Father’s Day. I do not recommend.

The red fish with crawfish gravy was very tasty. The desserts are really good too. Our waiter Jason was attentive and friendly.

Our family had a 7:30pm reservation to celebrate my sisters birthday. Ive never been to Owen, I dont know why I havent. The time we spent there was great!!! Food was awesome and the service even better. Tiger was a joy. He was nice, professional and attentive to what we needed. He deserves a raise and I personally will return hopefully soon.

Well what can I say. This was my first time experiencing brunch at this lovely place and I have to say it was charming,the hostess was very helpful in recommending a nice Tiger Tini Martini, and the waiter was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The best part was the staff was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxing. The food was delicious also.

Whenever we are in Memphis we always make it a point to eat at least one meal here. This time we tried the brunch and we were not disappointed! Delicious with lots of choices.

The food was ok. The staff were great. We were seated at a dirty table. The food couldve been seasoned a little more to my personal taste, but the lunch portions are great for the price. The space is beautiful. The beignets are flaky instead of doughy like the traditional ones. I wasnt a fan of it, but the flavor and caramel sauce was good! 6/10 for me.

Arrive today . My daughter has been trying to get me to go with her for weeks. Where’s the hype? Very, Very Very, disappointed . So many disappointment. Don’t know where to start. Cold chicken, gravy was sweet. Chicken burnt. Powdered eggs. Greasy bacon. I could go on & on. The oysters were glued to the shell. I’m like is this for real? The buffet staff just come and dump the refills while your trying to serve yourself . Place is dark & dingy. Coke was nothing but pure sugar. I’m serious. I do a lot of dinning out . This was bad. Waste of hard earned money. So very disappointed .🤬😡🤬. With the cost of food now & so many other places we could have went . I was just pure disappointed . My daughter spent her hard earned money for this meal.

The food was delicious. The beignets were phenomenal. The service was excellent. I havent been in years but I definitely will be visiting more often.

Went here for Mother’s Day with my daughter. We knew there would be a wait because they don’t take reservations. 1st come 1st served. You get on a waiting list 2.5 hours. They give you 10 min to get back or they give your table away so we waited. Bad idea, and not worth the wait at all. Got there at 11:00, seated at 2:30. Burned biscuits, congealed gravy, eggs like the powdered eggs u get at a Hampton inn. Prime rib station empty. Egg station get an omelette great if u like no seasoning. Took one bite and threw it out. I mean nothing was good absolutely nothing. My poor daughter paid 175,00 for a terrible meal. Just unacceptable. I would give it neg stars given the option.

I really want to thank the staff at Owen Brennan’s for their excellence service and follow up. My family decided to reserve a private room for a family dinner after my grandmother’s funeral. With only 2 or 3 days notice, Lauren, the restaurant’s private dining coordinator, worked with my wife on reserving the room and menu items. Our food was great, and our server was super friendly and attentive. We really appreciated the having this time together with our at Owen Brennan’s to celebrate my grandmother’s life.

Shrimp and grits was quite greasy. I have eaten the dish previously and was very good, dont know what happened. My waitress very quickly solved the problem and suggested the jumbo pasta😋

Owen Brendans is a step up from your tradition Restaurant. This Restaurant has the ambience, upscale class and just hands down the best service that you would expect from an establishment. Matthew was our on point 5 Star Server with Great knowledge of everything on the Menu. GREAT Drinks also....😊

Three words…..SUNDAY BRUNCH BUFFET! If you have not been go! There is an omelette and waffle station. There is a salad bar and a plethora of other food options! The food was seasoned to perfection. We try to go to Sunday Brunch here once a month. The service is exceptional. The price is worth it. Make sure you bring an appetite, you won’t be disappointed!

Went there as an after dinner treat. Dessert was amazing (bananas Foster and phyllo browniebut their coffee was abysmal! We ordered decaf at first (knowing its never quite as good as the real stuffbut it tasted like dishwater. Traded it in for the full octane stuff and again could barely tell that it was coffee. Definitely doesnt live up to what I think of as NOLA quality. As a side note, I have no idea why a restaurant with a NOLA theme cant have coffee with chicory, a NOLA staple, as well as regular.

Second time coming here for brunch. It did not disappoint. Oysters, salads, desserts, fried chicken, omelets made to order, Mac and cheese, bread pudding, banana foster, breakfast foods, etc... service was great. My only "complaint" is the price. Due to inflation, it was $50/adult and $25/child under 12. Wasnt ready for just a big bump in price. Family of 4 plus tip was adding $230.

Food was actually pretty good. Kinda pricey. I was by myself and had a $73 bill for a crown royal on the rocks, Caesar salad , half a dozen charbroiled oysters and a shrimp/scallop/crawfish cheesey pasta. Not complaining about the food as it was very good and felt worth it. My low star rating is for they actually charged me $0.50 for the ice. Wth. Never seen that at a "fine dining" establishment.

Nice atmosphere not crowded during lunch. I had tenders and fries. It was more than I could eat.

Loved the omelet station. "Shorty" as he called himself, did an amazing job and was very entertaining, which was a plus since he had to cook six different omelets at one time. The alcoholic lemonade beverage I ordered from the bar was really good. Lots of food choices.

Stumbled upon this Lovely establishment and they got me at New Orleans cuisine. So the ambience was very romantic it was so chill we were able to get the corner booth which was perfect. The food was cooked to perfection. the lamb chops was probably the best lamb chops that I’ve had in a while. Everything came out hot , the service was great the only downer is the dessert options are very minimum but that did not deter my five stars. This is a very nice date night business meeting restaurant . Heads up it’s semi-expensive but it’s all worth it!!

First time visiting Owen Brennans. We for lunch to celebrate wedding anniversary. The staff was nice. I had shrimp and grits while my husband had Crawfish Etouffee. Both dishes were absolutely delicious.

It was as awesome as the last time... My son and I celebrating his early Fathers Day dinner gift, he loves the Grilled Oysters and I wanted him to experience the Banana Foster... It was a great mother and son dinner date.... Thank you son... Owens Brennan is a good dinning experience our server was very attentive and made the dinner very pleasant....

Food was incredible. .. the crab cakes were delightful. I had the catfish broaduex and my boyfriend had the shrimp & grits with a side of gumbo, we were both happy with our choices.And for desert we tried the phyllo brownie. Very very rich. But good.

The Sunday Jazz Brunch has returned! Covid rules in place, the Jazz brunch has returned in full glory, all you can eat featuring not only Cajun favorites but made to order omelets and waffles. Be sure to get a custom omelet and ask him who is responsible for these wonderful omelets? My first date with my wife was here 14 1/2 years ago. We now live over a 1,000 miles away but was worth the trip! If you’re a local or just passing thru, this restaurant is for you!

We went here after a wedding because we were dressed up and I heard this place was a little pricier. Turns out we were still overdressed wearing jeans and a blazer, but it didn’t matter to us. The server was was kind and stayed on top of things. The calamari was good. The salmon was delicious and so was the étouffée, although quite spicy. I like spicy but my wife does not. I had a small cup of gumbo and really enjoyed it. The bread is the best restaurant bread my wife has had in a long time. A little pricey but worth it for the environment, service, and taste.

Absolutely wonderful meal. The Stuffed Chicken however was touch. The beignets are to die for!! We ordered some to go

We enjoyed a wonderful 25th wedding anniversary celebration with friends at Owen Brennan’s this week! It was such a delight to enjoy fine food inside a restaurant again. The staff were considerate and careful while making us feel right at home (again). Thanks to Jim, Austin, and their team of professionals!I thoroughly enjoyed the Shrimp and Grits dish. AMAZING! First time here; the poboy sandwich was great. I also ordered a cup of turtle soup although it didnt really taste like it but it was still good. Will definitely be back!

Distinctive seafood experience than usual American seafood restaurants. Ambiance was amazing, light music with dim lights. Excellent service. Great wine selection.

I ordered the shrimp and grits. Nice presentation. I liked the jumbo shrimp but I didnt quite understand the intent of the huge mushrooms. They didnt pair well with the dish. For the price, I definitely couldve used more grits and more of the cajun creole flavor.

I had not been for a very long time. Not a big fan of buffets. Great company from friends on a rainy sunday.....a definite! I was unhappy with the seating. Service was decent. Mimosas were subpar. However, Brunch was delicious. I devoured shrimp, fish and grits with remoulaude sauce, french toast, bacon, home fries, devil eggs and a belgium waffle made to perfection with strawberries, blueberries and cream. Yum!

With so much variety, you would expect something to be lacking with the food, but that is not the case here. Oyster bar was fresh, eggs benedict with artichoke was a welcomed twist, and cant forget the banana fosters! Very good for a nice date or an upscale gathering spot

Scrumptious food!!One of the best Cajun restaurants in Memphis!They have special item on the menu every day of the week and it would be less priced when compared to rest of the days.We went for Friday lunch and Red fish Perez was the special for that day. So, I thought I would try their special of the day. I don’t regret this decision!My Red Fish came with flavored rice, crawfish étoufée (something like curry, in case if you’re wonderingand grilled veggies. All these complimented each other so well that I savored every bite.Second item which we ordered was grilled salmon. Salmon came with Risotto and sautéed spinach. Salmon was succulent and we were totally delighted!If you are a fish person, this is a Must place to visit in Memphis!The ambience was great with very good service!

First visit to establishment I loved it. The crawfish pie is completely delicious. You should definitely order at least two of them one will only upset you. I also ordered the steak it was very good. My girlfriend ordered the crawfish etoufee. We really enjoyed our meal our waiter was too notch. The atmosphere is totally New Orleans.

Sunday Brunch,Where do I begin...we arrived early and were seated right away.The buffet was extensive .The place settings elegant.The atmosphere was upscale New Orleans. The food was Cajun with a little Memphis flavor .Delicious.The wait staff was on point ,friendly and attentive. The meal was wonderful.The problem came with the virgin bloody mary .It was packed with a little bacteria that comes from improper food temperatures.So to sum it up I spent 50. on an excellent meal drinks are extra .And chased it all down with a 5. bacteria cocktail and spent the rest of the day curled up in a ball in my bed with extreme stomach pain.Everyone worked so hard to make my visit pleasurable and one person dropped the ball.The "Bartender". please try to do better for your coworkers as their livelihood depends on it.
