Went for the first time today. Great service. Food quality (Sunday dinnerwas exceptional, every item that made up the plate was perfect. This is a place doing it right and thats why the place was packed out. Superb ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A fabulous place! Lovely surroundings, (music not too loud to chata varied and reasonably priced menu. You can have 1, 2 or 3 courses for a set price. We all had a parmesan which was one of the best Ive ever had. The triple cooked chips were amazing too. I had a non alcoholic Pina Colada, which was also gorgeous. There was a great range of alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails, again very reasonably priced.We did not feel rushed and yet we received food in great time. Thank you the Oven for a lovely meal on my sons birthday. Well definitely be back!

A team meal out today and The Oven was a natural choice, having been here many times before.The food is excellent and good value for money.The staff are very accommodating, friendly, and nothing is too much bother for them.I chose their signature Parmo with chips and it did not disappoint.It was lovely!It was good to see the owner milling around today and even helping his staff with the customer service, handing out food etc.The Oven in Middlesbrough is very worthy of 5 stars and is a place to put on your list to visit when in Middlesbrough.

Took my old man for a belated Fathers Day with a three-course special. The food and service was exceptional. Everything was fresh with great flavour and seasoning. Im already looking forward to the next visit. The staff were incredible and I wish I could give them and the restaurant the ten stars they deserve.

I had the topside beef Sunday lunch and oh my world it is the best Sunday lunch I have ever had. Everything was beautiful. Crispy roasties and parsnips and beef gravy to die for. We r booking for Xmas day the food is the best Ive ever had in a restaurant

Like Im not even over exaggerating I had the octopus rings and king prawns and it was beautiful the flavours with the thick garlic mayonnaise Im definitely going back!! Defo worth the price

Fantastic meal. Staff very helpful. The food was amazing . Forgot to take photos except 1 of the moon bread! Selection of starters and breads. Then 2 had shin of beef which they said was lovely, 1 had lasagna (comes with garlic pizza style bread)-apparently Italian diners report it as the most authentic outside of Italy, and I had Egyptian stew with moon bread. A vegan dish - it was delicious. We couldnt eat everything - they have bags and boxes to pack things in. Big portions, no room for pudding. With drinks, just under £100 for 4 people. They do a fixed price menu too. Absolutely recommend it.

Wouldn’t recommend!! Disgusting behaviour from management.Absolute shame as the food was lovely.Service was terrible, table booked well in advance for a large group of people. Half the food was brought out and the other half about 20 minutes later!Bill was paid and half the party left the table. 10 minutes later, we were brought another bill claiming it hadn’t been paid. On questioning where the extra bill had come from, we were labelled as racist for asking the manager to stop enforcing sweets on us to stop us questioning! The manager then became verbally abusive, swearing at us and calling us names.Will not be returning

There were 15 of us last night and we all chose a wide variety of food. Every meal was fantastic, and beautifully presented. Most of all it was very very tasty and also well worth the price. The staff were great from start to finish, cant wait to return. Well done everyone at The Oven.

Absolutely amazing food. The best roast I’ve ever had. The staff and manager have the best customer service and take the time to care about the customers. I recommend this place without a shadow of a doubt. Perfection!!

Good food and service. But need more vegan options. Has quite a few vegetarian options but would love to see more. Slight expensive but worth it. Usually preferred for a hard work treat. Or after any achievement. But love the plants and cozy environment inside.

Really disappointing visit today.Menu very lacking as you cant order pizza or pasta on a Sunday. 3 different staff members couldnt answer an allergen question and we were left for 20+minutes before we flagged down a staff member to order. Only gluten free Sunday option is the roast??The black pudding starter was almost raw. Soggy and cold, potato skins werent much better. The children left most of theirs as they said it was tough and cold. No check back at any point by any staff member to advise of why our food was barely eaten.It was super busy, people crammed in, but alot of staff, however they werent well trained...Oven used to be great however if this is the new standard we wont be returning.

Food was beautiful fast service and extremely polite staff even when busy which impressed me. Our waiter was called Paul and he is the loveliest person ever loves his job and does it with a smile and enthusiasm highly recommend this place for an all round special experience.

Amazing restaurant and good prices, staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Even the tap water was exciting.Drinks were fun especially the daquiris and mine was non alcoholic. Food was a lot more interesting than the standard pizza and pasta place. The dessert was amazing and I ordered fruit tea which was a lot more interesting than just a teabag and water.The atmosphere is very nice too and you forget you are on Middlesborough high street. Would definitely recommend this place.

Visited this place with a couple of colleagues on a Monday night. Definitely not disappointed at all. The food and surroundings were excellent. I will be going back.

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. The owners and the waitresses are brilliant and so friendly. They show great attention to detail and regularly check in with you to ensure you’re happy with everything. The food is excellent and the lamb is exquisite. Visited two days in a row and will definitely be returning again.

Fantastic food excellent staff . We had steak and chips and wanted a blue cheese sauce which wasnt on the menu but asked if they could do it . And nothing was to much trouble for the staff and chef who did what we required. Been here a few times and as usual everything was 5 star

Amazing Sunday lunch!!! By far the best weve had in ages! Huge portions plenty of veg and tasty thick gravy! Superb! Staff were friendly and attentive and although busy no waiting for food or drinks! My only negative comment is I cant believe we havent found this gem sooner!

We went a couple of weeks ago with our granddaughter for lunch and we really enjoyed it so booked again tonight for a family meal.It was excellent food and service and we were all really impressed the standards. We felt very welcome and nothing was too much trouble and clean plates all round. This place is a gem and we would not hesitate to recommend it

An amazing find in Middlesbrough, absolutely beautifully cooked and presented food. We got a gorgeous Egyptian vegan stew with fresh baked bread, and melt in the mouth fresh baked brioche bread for starter with olive oil and vinegar dressing and fresh green olives. Little additions like home-made rosewater lemonade, and a complimentary fudge cake for desert made the evening. It’s absolutely five stars for the food and the dining experience. One minor complaint is the amount of times the waitresses approached the table to ask us what we needed, in one hour we must’ve been asked if we wanted anything about 20 times.

Great service from the restaurant. We got an extra dessert and house made chocolates because they didnt have sticky toffee pudding. Great experience and everything was delish!

First time visiting this fantastic hidden gem. Our Egyptian host ensured we had a wonderful evening from start to finish. The food was simply delicious and the Margarita Pizza was the best Ive tasted anywhere in the world. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

The Oven. I found it aesthetically pleasing. The waiting area was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hygiene station was accessible. The menu had lots of different dishes. The food was excellent. I had roast beef, the best Ive ever had. Ill certainly be returning

Two lovely meals. I thought that the was perhaps a little bit lacking in choice of the menu but was still very impressed with what I ordered. The bill had to have two corrections also.

Brilliant! Another recommendation of the instructor of the course we were on, the Oven didnt fail to impress! I opted for black pudding starter which was cooked to perfection. The New York deli parmo for my main was bloody enormous... Now I pride myself on having a huge appetite but this really was mahoosive! Really pleasant restaurant, and the prices are really reasonable. Given the quality ysurroundings and the food I expected to pay much more. Very recommended!

Staff were attentive and friendly. The food was exceptional, I would definitely recommend the black pudding starter. We were unaware that the chicken breast is served on the bone, which we found out to my wifes dismay. The staff offered to cut the bone off and handled the problem really well. Would definitely visit here again.
