Popularly known as Our Lady Of Purification Church,Portkollam, the Church of Our lady Purification is believed to be one among the seven and a half churches founded by the Apostle St. Thomas. Because of sea erosion, the church was reconstructed thrice. The present church, built in 1993, is located a few distance from the KSRTC bus stand, near to Pallithottam police station and Kollam Port.
