Osteria Dell'Osso in Florence

We walked in and were greeted in a friendly matter. We were told it was a 15-20 min wait and we said that’s okay. Once we moved to the side, they surprised us with a glass of Prosecco!After that, we were seated in the time they told us. The service was great and the prices beyond fair for the quality of the food.Honestly one of the best steaks I’ve ever had!Highly recommend this place. It isn’t a tourist trap like many around it. High quality food and service.

It’s actually really surprising that this place has high reviews on google. We couldn’t eat our food at all sadly. The waiters were nice but that’s about it.

Service was great, Pollo was good, paperdelle was okay although a little undercooked.

Did not live up to the high ratings. Most of the food was average or below, and the cacio e pepe was a disgrace. You couldnt taste the pepper, the pasta was overcooked, and the sauce was a bitter, cheese taste. The atmosphere was not very nice with too loud techno music.

We had high hopes for this place considering the nice ratings, but we were sadly left disappointed. The cacio e Pepe didn’t taste at all of pepper and was clumpy - the worst I’ve ever tasted. The carbonara and pomodorini pasta were unsalted, but otherwise good. Go with the Ragu and ravioli instead - they were lovely.Very touristy place, with club-music playing. However, service was friendly and drinks were good.

Really recommend this spot for dinner. My partner had steak, i am vegetarian so had truffle pasta. Both of us absolutely loved our meals and the member of staff was able to suggest a great wine which complemented the food perfectly. Staff were super friendly and attentive.

Decent restaurant that does a good job advertising itself - food is on the pricier side here and the flavors are okay at best. Outdoor seatings are slightly cramped. Overall service is good but I just felt a bit underwhelmed.

Meat quality was exceptional! We had osso bucco and beef filet it was great for both. We regretted that plates didn’t come with any side, so we had roasted potatoes which were below average.Wine was good and affordable, service was average.

Didnt know about it just stumbled upon it. One of the best steaks Ive has Im my life. No exaggeration. Hands down beat expensive American steak houses and the prices were decent. Chef made my 3 year old a little chefs hat to wear which was awesome. Great service great steak

So glad we came here tonight. Florentine steak was perfect medium rare with nice crispy char all around the outside. Service was friendly and impeccable.

Great place with great food. The chef is quite welcoming and happy to serve people which isnt always common here in Italy. The artichoke antipasti was very very good and the t bone was excellent.

Delicious food and wine, however we felt overlooked by wait staff for a lot of my time there, however. At this price point, service should be more attentive and the customer should not have to ask to order drinks after being seated for 20+minutes.Perhaps they were short on staff on a busy night

Great service and cosy ambiance. We ordered the Florentine steak and we’re presented with a cut before they proceeded to cook it. It was a 1.5kg slab but it was pretty doable to finish with two. There are limited seats in the restaurant, would recommend this place for a cosy dinner!

Amazing steak even though a bit more expensive than the rest at 55eur kg, one of the best Ive eaten. Also good service, good pasta, and when I didnt like the wines from the menu the guy brought me a good wine. Nice experience

Amazing food! Great service. We started with a salad and then did family style with 4 pastas. The truffle ravioli was so good we ordered another. The steak was incredibly flavorful. We asked for medium and it was very rare so maybe order knowing it’ll probably be a little under. We shared 2 desserts and they were both excellent.

Showed up a bit early for our reservation, and we only had to wait a minute for a table, but they brought us a nice glass of champagne on the house. Service was top notch, and I highly recommend coming to this place, I will definitely be back! Gnocchi was superb and I was honestly suprised by the generous size of the appetiser’s. Only complaint is as an American, I feel like a steak should be a bit more seasoned, but that was my fault for ordering a pork t-bone without sauce. Didn’t have dessert since I was already full from the gnocchi, but it looked amazing, and I would definitely come back here! Don’t look past this place if you are walking by! Good value, top notch service, and a great location and vibe.

We were visiting from San Francisco for our honeymoon. We came here for lunch and loved the two pasta dishes we ordered. The flavors and texture were both excellent. We would definitely come back again :)

The steak, pastas and desserts were sublime. Best food I had in my 3 weeks around Italy.

Saw the good rating, decided to try, was not disappointed. Absolutely worth visiting. Had the fungi risotto & a soup called La Ribollita. Both were good.

Very cosy and good restaurant. This was easily the best place where weve eaten while visiting Florence. The food is super fresh, the waiters are not pushy at all, compared to some other restaurants weve visited. You can really taste that the chef here loves cooking and knows what he is doing. I can really recommend the Osso Bucco. Its the best dish Ive eaten in Florence, hands down. Thank you for that! Well definitely come back when we visit Florence again!

I had gnocchi and they were very fluffy and tasty. Was a cold day but even outside it was very warm with the heaters. Staff very nice and knew english, very good experience.

Fabulous local authentic fresh food!!! The pasta was great and the osso bucco DIVINE!!!! Service very good and not expensive at all. We loved itTwo years later we were visiting Firenze again and first thing was to rush to the best restaurant in townAgain we had the osso bucco that made me scream again!!!!! And the fillet which was tasty and from great quality. Next time will come again ❤️❤️❤️

Wine was perfect , great selection and the waiter was very helpful. Service was very nice ! Except when we said we didn’t like the carbonara he didn’t seem very understanding of that.Prices are okay for dishes but drinks are more expensive.In the attachment the bill , dish and the drinks

Fantastic lunch:Soufflée con Carciofi e PecorinoTagliata con GranaThe antipasto was delicious and the meat of the tagliata very tender and tasty. Highly recommend this restaurant! Has also a nice terrace where you can view the coming and going of Piazza del Mercato Centrale and enjoy the good weather.

Best restaurant in Florence in my opinion, had to stop by again during lunch of my last day in Italy. The service was wonderful, and a really easy to miss place as well.

Nice service and cooks! You can actually watch them cutting and preparing your Bistecca Florentina. Overs a good selection of wines and the salad was fine as well. It’s on the backside of the famous Mercato Centrale. Price for the Bistecca is a bit high in relation to other offerings near the city center (which i didn’t try), BUT you get a fine steak, perfectly done, great taste, great atmosphere - don’t forget to drink a limoncello with the cooks ;)

Great small restaurant with amazing food. Everything we ordered was really really delicious. Considering my husband lived in Tuscany for many years and all over the world couldn’t stop saying how great the food was. Congrats to people to run it. Will definitely be back

We took a risotto, carbonara and ragu one with tiralisu and panacotta at the end and it was delicious! Very good address with nice people who offered us one limoncello at the end! Ill recommend it with no doubt. By the way the menu changed and theres no pasta al tartuffo for now.

I can easily say this was our best meal in Firenze. The Florentine steak was cooked to perfection with amazing marbling and a very rich flavor.The sides (oven potatoes, fagioli and spinachwere delicious and very generous portions. And the best surprise was the pici cacio pepe which were as good as any cacio Pepe I have had in Rome!Very friendly and attentive service and it was nice to be away from the tourist traps in the center!

Ill be telling everyone I know to go here for dinner! The staff are all wonderful, friendly and made our night perfect. We ordered the Coccoli (fried pizza doughwith raw ham and burrata as a starter and Im pretty sure we went to heaven and hell at the same time eating that. Then we enjoyed the Florentine steak and the chicken breast with grada, both were intense and amazing. The chefs do an excellent job cooking the steak to your liking. Our choices were a nice change from the carb-heavy diet that weve had during our time in Italy. We cannot thank the entire team enough for a wonderful evening.

Fantastic food and service. Doesnt hurt that the chefs and hosts are all cute and friendly guys :ordered the wine + antipasto + Bistecca alla Fiorentina for two for 55€. Delicious selection of cold cuts and perfectly cooked generous portion of steak. Well worth the price.

We had lunch at this place. Good people but its not one of the best restaurants in Florence. But they are open during the day. The Florentine steak we ate was nice and the wine pared good with the food. Grilled veggies we ordered we dissepointing.

One of the best experiences in a restaurant in our trip to Italy. Small yet swanky restaurant with great vibes and moderately priced food. Definitely try the house special T-Bone Florentine steak.Its one of the best steaks that we have ever had in our life. Even the service was excellent with a smiling, helpful an friendly staff. Must try if you are in this part of Florence. Weekends are busy though, so reserve a table or go early.

Loved this place! Service was fast and friendly. Our waiter was super helpful in offering recommendations that would complement each other. We had the Antipasto Toscano which included a full plate of various deli meats and chicken liver pate toast, porcini tagliatelle, tagliata steak with pork lard and veal cooked Florentine style. Everything was delicious and the meats were fall-off-the-bone soft. Would definitely come here again!
