Hotel trattoria with lounge & porch serving Northern Italian pasta & seafood, plus cocktails.
We were referred here by Dion of Dion Atelier. It was fabulous! Service was amazing and food matched. I had the salmon with a lemon cream sauce and it was cooked to perfection. My husband had a chicken dish...forgot the name, but both were delicious. Each meal came with a couscous medley that was also very tasty. Ambiance was great too. We werent really dressed for the environment (we were super casualbut they didnt treat us differently, maybe theyre used to it since theyre so close to the beach. We will definitely get dressed the next time we come.
You can tell this food is made with love and pride. Fresh, homemade & great customer service along side it. I can’t wait to come back.
Service was absolutely amazing. Manager was super attentive. Food was delicious definitely recomend..
The service was amazing, the manager was super nice as well as all of the staff. They even gave us a free tiramisu at the end of our meal, simply because they were nice. The pasta’s I took were amazing and very rich in taste, overall this was an amazing experience.
I had an amazing dinner here tonight. I got the Miami spice special, which included a salad, an entrée, and dessert. The service I received was wonderful, and the quality of the pasta was delicious. I would definitely come back the next time I visit South Beach. (don’t forget the tiramisu!)
Great experience!! Service was excellent and fast, food was amazing and clearly homemade. The server also was able to answer all of our questions and clearly new the food and restaurant very well!
Wow. My wife and I were were treated to one of the best Italian dinners weve ever had. Service was outstanding, lovely décor, and the food was outstanding. It was so fresh, amazing flavor and the presentation was first-class. Well remember this dinner for a long time.
My husband and I wanted to treat ourselves to a nice dinner and this place did not disappoint! The staff was very attentive and friendly. The gentleman with the ponytail who greeted us at the host desk (perhaps the manager?did the absolute most to make sure our experience was amazing. Husband said the black squid ink pasta was the best pasta he has ever had (not sure the exact dish but it had calamari and mussels). My fettuccine with tiger shrimp was very enjoyable. Definitely coming back when we visit Miami Beach again!!
Excellent!!Was there last week with friends and family. We were greeted and served by Raphael; he and his team provided us with 5 star service and food.We were all very impressed - This was among the highlights of our trip to Southern Florida!Enjoy for yourselves, you will not be disappointed.Russell from Montreal!
Delicious!!! In the late 90s it was consistently ranked as one of the top Italian restaurants in Miami but I never was able to go. Three weeks ago I drove by with my family and saw it as an opportunity. The ambiance may be deceiving at first, not luxurious or modern, completely understated, but the food was superb. Everything we ordered was delicious.
Osso Bucco & Champagne Chicken were like butter. One of the best meals weve ever had with service to match.
A mojito to die for and two incredibly delicious, perfectly prepared pasta dishes. The service was friendly, engaged and excellent. Manager even wrapped tablecloths around the shoulders of two women who were feeling a chill at a neighboring table. We will definitely come back every time we’re near Miami. Highest recommendation!
We had dinner at Osteria Del Teatro on 6-16-22 and it was an amazing experience. The staff and service was excellent and the food was the best food we have had since Disney.
Little Expensive restaurant, good food, grilled salmon with crab was amazing.
As soon as you step in you are welcomed by the owner and his amazing staff. The food was so good that I even forgot to take photos. My recommendations are the seafood risotto which was to die for and my favorite the meat carpaccio.Looking forward to coming back and try new things of their menu.
Amazing!!! best service I have ever received in a restaurant! so nice, thinking outside the box, gracious. Food was so delicious as well. Definitely going back there next time we’re in Miami!
Staying at the hotel (Marlin and decided to eat dinner at this restaurant:Pasta carbonara!:). Terrific .I know - not supposed to be drinking beer with pasta . But ....Great friendly service and good views on Collins Ave. And 12th Street .
Our group of 10 attended for dinner here and we were very impressed not only by the quality of the food, but the wait-staff and owner who were second to none! Every one of the 10 meals and apps came out perfectly. The owner personally checked in many times! We will come back to South Beach just to return here!!!
Incredible food and atmosphere. The staff makes you feel like family. Gilbert and Rafael made all 3 times we ate here special. I highly recommend your next meal to be at Osteria Del Teatro. The best food in South Beach!!.
BEST meal weve had in a long time and fabulous service! Gilberto is charming and entertaining and his staff is very attentive. We kicked off the meal with the tuna tartare, Caesar salad, and burrata. The vodka sauce with crabmeat, pappardelle with mushrooms and truffle oil, and the crab and curry pasta were absolutely amazing! We finished it off with the tiramisu and it was the best we ever had. This is a very special place! Thank you ODT!
Really delicious food, the best weve eaten on south beach and top three in Miami. Great staff too.
Osteria del Teatro is the best restaurant in Miami Beach. We have been going to this restaurant for 12 years and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent, service is great and ambiance is wonderful. Gilbert, Rapahel and the rest of the staff are wonderful caring individuals. You need to try this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!For our last night in Miami we wanted to treat ourselves to a delicious meal at a nice restaurant and we were able to do so thanks to Osteria! This beautiful Italian restaurant was an amazing experience. From the hilarious host to our friendly & knowledgeable server Rafael and the entire staff to the delicious food that made our last night in Miami the perfect experience!
My husband and I went for dinner last night for our honeymoon. The food was nothing short of amazing. Our server Rafael was awesome and very attentive. His menu knowledge was impeccable. I would definitely recommend for anyone who goes to Miami to stop in one night you won’t regret it.
This place has got to be the best restaurant in Miami. The owner went out of his way to make sure we had a good time, he even helped us park our car! Everything from the service, to the food, and the ambiance was phenomenal. I had the most perfectly cooked salmon I’ve had in my life. I cannot recommend this place enough. You won’t regret going here!
They have the best pasta the food was delicious. Excellent service
We really loved this restaurant. The food tasted amazing and came out looking beautiful. The staff is also extremely friendly.
Truly excellent Italian cuisine! We sat outside and enjoyed a lovely Saturday evening. The veal Parmigiano was the best Ive ever had. The wine selection was very good as well. Highly recommend the whole experience. We will definitely return!
Located in the lobby area of a hotel. The dessert display case at the front of the restaurant is a good indicator youve made it to the right place. I wish I had come with more fellow diners so I could try more dishes! We were only able to try the spinach crepe appetizer and the veal ravioli before we were stuffed! The spinach crepes came in a red sauce with melted cheese on top. They were very tasty. The veal ravioli was delicious and came in a brown sugar sauce with fresh basil and what I believe was toasted sage 😋.Cant wait to go back and try more of the menu!
The potatoes were buddah. I got a veal dish but I have the feeling that you cant go wrong with anything you order. Staff was very attentive.
Food and service were wow! The Merlot was amazing! Tiramisu had cinnamon which was a twist and unique. Fantastic family dinner.
I love the Gin con Limone was fantastic, also the food was amazing so many flavors, highly recommend!!
I wish I could give them an additional star. I have never had such a more inviting dinner experience. The staff was so over the top friendly and had gone out of their way to be as hospitable as an establishment could be. The most perfect anniversary dinner one could hope for. The atmosphere is also fantastic. The music is soothing, the homemade pastas are phenomenal and again the service is outstanding.
Wonderful fine dining experience. Well-appointed luxury atmosphere and furnishings, very attentive waitstaff, and rich, flavorful, hearty dishes. The beverages were done nicely as well.We had the stuffed shrimp appetizer, the osso bucco, and the veal cutlet. All were divine. The portions were outrageous! The risotto was rich and absolutely the perfect texture. The entree meats were tender and cooked perfectly. They surprised us and treated so nicely for our anniversary ❤
This restaurant blew us away for our anniversary dinner last night. Quite possibly one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten. Mussels special to start was great, the fra diavolo sauce was delicious! My husband and I both ordered the pappardelle and whole lobster for dinner and it was outrageous! Our waitress was very attentive and all the staff worked so well together to make our experience top notch. They ended our meal with a surprise dessert and song to celebrate our anniversary, very unexpected and also delicious! We will certainly be back the next time we’re in the area!
POLENTA AL FUNGHETTO is amazing!! Its mushrooms in some sort of grain, I would compare it to grits, but much more flavorful and savory. The veal ravioli was artistically made! It has so many flavors! Fennel, cheeses, soft hand made dough, its perfect. One of the best Italian places to eat in Miami.
Osteria del teatro was absolutely amazing, from the moment we walked through the door. So welcoming. The drinks were outstanding. Ordered Ossobuco(veal shankwith risotto and it was the best I have ever eaten. My wife ordered a Pesto ravioli which was sold out. Manager offered another dish containing Pesto and stated she would not be disappointed, and he was so right she loved the entree. The wait staff was so attentive.Didnt have room for dessert, but our waitress brought out a sampling of tiramisu and WOW is so delicious. If you love Italian food, this is a must stop on your list when visiting Miami Beach. Thanks for an awesome experience.
This place is absolutely fantastic! The staff is genuinely happy you are there and so knowledgeable. Ok... The food Though! Whew! I had the snapper with lemon wine sauce and capers. Shut the front door. Best I have ever eaten. I ate at Bobby Flays in Vegas 2 nights prior and had his snapper. Bobby got beat!
Absolutely exquisite from the moment you step into this establishment… I admired how the entire staff worked together to ensure that we were enjoying our experience… Food was IMPECCABLE! Will be returning very very soon.
A quote from one of my favorite movies, Burnt, the chef said " I dont want my restaurant to be a place you come and eat, I want people to sit at that table and be sick with longing." This is my experience. I came to this classic restaurant 2 years ago and have been sick with longing since. The cuisine and presentation arent good or great, they are perfect. Last night I was lucky enough to come visit again. The environment is how restaurants should be. I felt like Frank Sinatra was going to come right around the corner. :We were lucky enough to have Rafael as our server who spoiled us with amazing service. Pleasant, Professional, and warm. The owner Gilberto is such a pleasure to see. He is lively andmakes sure everyone is having a great time at all times! cant thank you guys enough and cant wait to see you again. Wishing you continued success!
Delicious pasta!! We sat on the patio for outdoor dining so it was pretty causal. Pasta dishes are giant! Pricing is more on the expensive side of things, but the quality was great and the portions are large. Ordered the pappardelle bolognese and the seafood linguini, both excellent. Unfortunately was too full for dessert because I really wanted to have the tiramisu, but we did also enjoy some cocktails.
Stopped for a Night Cap and was pleasantly surprised about the overall appeal of the restaurant. The bar is cozy and Eva makes sure you are part of the group, which is hard to find now days with the social distancing and all. The bar fare was very good. Ready to visit soon and be part of the Happy Hour!
Had dinner here a couple of nights ago. My wife and I were celebrating our honeymoon together, everyone was so kind and helpful. Without a doubt this was the best meal I had while visiting Miami!
This place was absolutely amazing!! The service was one of a kind and the entire staff was polite and attentive. The food was A+ super delicious and very well prepared. I also want to give a huge special thank you to the owner Gilbert. We have never experienced such a pleasant time at restaurant before ever. He treats you as family and goes above and beyond for his customers. We well definitely be coming back for years to come and we highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for some amazing dishes accompanied with 5 Star service. Thank you again we cant wait to come back
5 star service, 4 star Prices, 2 star food, and a weird magician. We first ordered a $19 appitizer, Wich was 2 tails one of Wich was basically raw at the beginning, but was cooked in the middle, alittle expensive, but reasonable. After, we got a pasta Wich was undercookd, and had a low quality sause, but also a very good black squid pasta dish. Also a magician came to our table and give a little show, but I felt that it was odd, and felt he wasnt hired by the restaurant and just wanted money, not sure though. I recommend also sitting inside, as outside is loud, and its hard to enjoy a meal with the loud cars passing. Overall, if your looking for a fancy service at a reasonable price, come here, if you want good food, I recommend going somewhere else.
Good food, good service, charming place. The restaurant is located at the ground floor of the beautiful, historical looking Marlin hotel. There is a beautiful bar just before taking a few steps down to the restaurant if you want to have a drink before or after your meal. The restaurant has an elegant setting. The wine list is more than adequate and the Super Toscan by the glass is good. The steam mussels were good with a light elegant white wine and garlic sauce. The veal raviolis are excellent with a very tasty and elegant touch brought by fried sage leaves. The service is very pleasant.
Jose was our waiter:👍👍Food was fabulous. Booked for my girlfriends Birthday. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Will definitely be back!!!!
Good happy hour prices, otherwise not cheap. If you’re drinking, we recommend the Passion Picante and Bellini del Osteria. Bufala frita was delicious but very small appetizer.
Some good food, some not so good. We were expecting a more positive experience.I had to fill our wine glasses up twice only to have a waiter run over and make me feel bad for doing so. If our wine glasses are empty, Im going to fill them up. Either keep up, or dont pretend you can. I also had to ask for water, including to the GM, several times after the glass sat there empty for 15 minutes. These arent problems at a normal restaurant because youre not paying for perfection. Here youre paying for perfection and getting mediocrity. I expect more when paying $270 for two people. Also, the place seemed very well staffed, but there are times when they are running around ragged and dont show up for extended lengths of time. Im not sure if they have some weird break hours, double as chefs, or what causes this. The only reason that I enjoyed the meal was because of some good conversation with the couple next to us.I dont recommend eating here
Excellent service, excellent food, excellent ambience.I loved everything about the restaurant. Ask for Carlos, great server took the time to explained the menu and the drinks. Gilbert the Owner very attentive and charismatic also helped guide us through the menu. Martin the chef at the end of the meal took the time to visit the table and see how we enjoyed everything. Everything is fresh, homemade and flavorful. If you are into cocktails definitely try the Sofia Lauren and if you enjoy a nice dessert you cant go wrong with any of it.Definitely well be back. Its no wonder why theyve been so successful for more than 30 years
