Elegant dining rooms with an airy atrium area & huge garden terrace, for traditional Milanese menus.
The place is amazing!!De staff is so kind! The food is good and price is ok!We recommend the place for the wine, the starters and the dessert, especially the Tarte Tartin !
This place is literally a retaurant. Ambiance, decoration, staff, menu are really nice and professional. If you want to eat delicious food in a truly beautiful environment and have a good time, this is the right address. The price and performance curve is also reasonable.
Just came in and asked for a table for 2 and they treated us like we were homeless people. Rude staff did not even tell us why we could not sit down and have a meal she just said no and kicked us out
What a lovely surprise just around the corner from our accommodation. The cover charge was 5 euros per person, but we got quite a lot for that price compared to other venues. On arrival we were given an aperitif, lovely bread with oil and pate, and fresh crudités. The bread was replenished, which was a surprise. The cover charge also included some petite pastries at the end of the meal. I ordered the osso bucco with risotto Milanese and my son ordered the hand made raviolo. Both meals were delicious and of high quality. The Sommelier helped us choose the wine and the ambience of the restaurant was lovely. It was reasonably priced and would definitely recommend.
Amazing experience overall! Very nice environment surrounded by plants and those cute lights, the food is very tasty and nice and a good service! Definitely recommend it!
We were there on 8/28 around 6:35p. Walked in to find out they don’t open until 7:30p. The guy works at the bar directed me to another staff who was about to walk out for questions, so I told this staff that we don’t have a reservation, can we still dine in later or not. He then immediately ask just come back at 7:30p.Waited outside of the restaurant and walked back in to restaurant at 7:30p. Two hostess told us they are fully booked and we can only come back at 10-10:30p.We are very disappointed on the first guy who misinforming us and being dishonest.
Just perfect, the food was amazing, especialy the carpaccio and vitello tonnato.I would strongly recommend eating here.
Really nice dinner, service was great and the environment was lovely! A big garden with a lot of green and lights. The food was really tasty and i would recommend the saffron risoto and cotoleta milanese. The desert was ok, nothing special, but great coffee in the end.
Large outdoor patio. They seated us without a reservation. Very helpful staff, especially the sommelier.
We visited the restaurant on an August night...we were informed at the reception that we needed a reservation. We made one for an hour later. The problems started from this moment and on...the staff was extremely rude and they serviced us as if we were homeless people. The welcome drink was a shot of Campari which was poison along with a little bowl of peppers, carrots, radishes and celery. Needless to say that the carrots were black and not fresh. My wife ordered a dish with ravioli and a dish with pasta covered with minced meat for me and also an appetizer with 2 pieces of ham, one slice of bread and a tiny dough filled with sauce. The waitress was looking rudely when we asked only for water and not for wine to drink. The food was terrible but especially the pasta with the minced meat which was raw and red and that we stated at the waitress when she asked if everything was ok. After that she returned with a 50% discount (7 €)at this specific dish on the bill. The whole experience was the worst as we ate rubbish and we wasted our night there because of the very good reviews. Stay away from there. There are amazing places in Milan to enjoy the food and the kindness! By the way we are Greek so we are aware of the good quality of food and the hospitality!
Excellent food! great service ! And beautiful ambiance! Highly recommend to everyone!
Ambiance is incredible. Food selection is great. They do wine tasting with their local wines.
Truly an authentic Italian dining experience, perfect place to have a taste of Milanese cuisine. Cotoletta alla Milanese, Ossobuco and Risotto alla Milanese are a must from lOsteria Del Binari! The staff is also very professional and will assist you with wine pairing as well.
Waiter was very disinterested us, it took 15 minutes to receive a menu which was thrown down. Drinks took ages to arrive and the meal was average. We were not offered bread and other aperitif (which was included in the €5 per person cover charge). Would recommend trying something where your patronage is appreciated.
Place looked good, comments were nice and we were around the place. We were there at 19.05pm, there was no guest at restaurant and they didnt let us sit for short dinner because they were all reserved. How many tables are there? 50-100? They simply dont care if you are not good looking/rich and tell you no. Just because of not welcoming staff, I will never consider reserving a table from this place
What a great place, top notch classical service complete with Sommelier and of course, most importantly the food was amazing too.
The Food and atmosphere was good, but the service was not friendly. We felt not really welcome.
Amazing food and ambient. Perfect for romantic dinner with a vine covered terrace. We tried Saffron risotto and Milanese style veal cutlet which is a must. Risotto was perfectly creamy and scrumptious. Veal cutlet is a very dear dish to me and I wasnt aware it originated in Milan before it became famous in Vienna. I went for tasting wine where their sommelier matches 4 glasses of wine with your food. Every glass was matching perfectly and I enjoyed Prosecco Brut the most. Another must try is Ravioli stuffed with ossobuco which was the most delicious dish of the night - just perfect. Pistachio parfait dessert was a little bit uninspired but overall great restaurant for romantic dinner in Milan.
Sommelier is super helpful; any time we had a question about a liquor, he would come outside, give opinions, and serve us himself! Amazing milanesa and the outside is completely under a grape vines, amazing Milano vibes; very expensive, but was overall a great experience. Be aware that coperto is more than usual, but you get a beginning drink, 2-3 aperitivos, and 5 little desserts. Worth it as a tourist.
Really not good experience. Cold waiters, do not even speak.Risotto without flavor rice not even cookedExpensive for this kind of quality
Osteria dei Binari is a wonderful restaurant with both traditional Milanese dishes and creative selections. We dined on a beautiful terrace and it appeared that virtually everyone in the restaurant was a local. The service is very friendly and professional. We had excellent pasta, seafood, and vitello alla Milanese, and wine list was extensive and excellent. The neighborhood may appear to non-locals as a little sketchy, but we felt completely safe -- there were nice people and families everywhere we walked.
Very good and tasty dishes. Serving was very professional. One of the few places that treated us with little desserts .
Great vibes and decoration in the restaurant, food was great but not mindblowingly good. Service was up to par and the restaurant does get quite busy near later times, around €20-40 per head! Would definitely recommend this to tourists visiting for their famous osso bucco risotto.
Lovely place and the staff were really helpful. My friend and I went there for dinner. The food was lovely
This is certainly an iconic place to eat at in Milan in terms of having authentic local cuisine. Im not one to typically rave quiet risotto, but this place certainly changed my mind.
What a beautiful hidden gem! The food warms the soul and is absolutely amazing!!If there are 10 stars i wouldn’t hesitate to give!Everything tasted great!
A wonderful experience! Everything from the food, wine, to the service and the surroundings exceeded expectations. Tip: if you book - which would be a good idea - ask to be seated in the veranda area. Theres also a garden area which opens up once the weather improves. The ossobuco is fabulous!
Traditional Milanese restaurant, food was very good! Beautiful atmosphere as well.
Great osteria with traditional Milanese cuisine! I went there for lunch and tried the ossobuco and cotoletta milanese. Both were delicious! Especially the ossobuco 🤤 The interior also feels very nice and cosy! I think it’s a great place for both tourists and locals with reasonable prices 👌🏻
Best restaurant I have been in years. The menu is extensive and the meat in the risotto was perfectly cooked and melts in your mouth. The staff are super attentive and professional. Also the restaurant looks beautiful in the inside and the chairs are very comfortable. This is a must if youre visiting Milan. 10/10.
Excellent traditional cuisine from Milan, from cotoletta to risotto. One of my favorite spot in the city. In the summer, the garden is absolutely beautiful
A bit pricey yes, but food and atmosphere in the veranda are completely worth.
Amazing setting. Huge garden and veranda that dresses the scenery. Perfect on a hot day.
Cozy location in the heart of Tortona district. Inside there is a nice garden that it’s perfect for both a romantic or friendly dinner! Kind staff and interesting menu with a good variety of local dishes.
Nice And Cozy Place,Specially the inside area is Just Amazing.Food is a bit Expensive yet Worth it.
We had a splendid experience at this Osteria. You are at the right adress for typical Milanese and piemontese food.
Wonderful evening with dinner in the garden in the Porta Genova area. This time we chose a Milanese and historical location. A decision that made us happy. The location is large and there is a lot of space between one table and another; the mise en place is cured and the service very friendly and prepared. The dishes were almost exciting and the Sommelièr brought us a fresh Vermentino to accompany the dishes (delicious). Great professionalism in a large location full of customers. We will definitely be back.
I had a cotoletta milanese which was really good and worth the price (24e). The staff treated us very kindly. I highly suggest if the season is warm to eat outside in the courtyard where the atmosphere is cozy and almost seems like you’re not even in the city!
Super dining experience in Milano! We were welcomed with a complimentary prosecco, bread, vegetable sticks and pate. The osobucco i ordered was delicious, the meat basically melted off the bone and the risotto was cooked to an perfect aldente point. The sea bass dish my partner ordered was also very tasty and the focacia was mouth watering. The only reason i dont give 5 stars is because our waiter was not the friendliest & they charge 4 euro per person service and plate fees without stating that anywhere in menu. Otherwise, very happy overall.
Fantastic food, excellent service and a beautiful ambiance. Not cheap but brilliant value for money.
Liked the place. Fast service. Tried only the ossobuco, but the pasta dishes around me looked tasty, specially the gnocchi. Tiramisu and Braulio Amaro for dessert. Cost: 41 euros including “coperto” (assorted breads, olive oil, tuna spread, carrots&vegetable sticksand 750ml Pelegrino.Food was good, not outstanding. Worth a visit and I would come back.
Excellent restaurant. Started with a selection of their pastas, all of which exceeded expectation. The veal was just OK compared to the pasta dishes. Definitely try the pumpkin sage pasta if it is in season. I would also recommend the beef tartare and the Tiramisu! Finished the evening with a healthy pour of grappa, on the house. Will definitely visit this restaurant again next time in Milano.
The place is cozy and has a garden in the back but the food feels downgraded: poor ingredients in quality and quantity. Our cacio e Pepe risotto was dull
Food was pretty pricey for the just-ok quality of the food. The complementy sparkling wine and desserts were nice.
What a wonderfully place, and excellent value for many, I have being going to this restaurant for over 10 years and for the first time I went in summer, and I loved it even more. They have open the gardens in back which are cover by this beautiful vines!!!!! It looks magical. And the service is awesome. I will definitely come back on my next visit to Milano.
Beautiful and romantic place. In the summertime you eat outside in the garden which has a lovely atmosphere (a lil crowded but super cool, with all these wine trees goin above you). Perfect service and nice ideas (like the default appetizer with fresh vegetables in oil, "pinzimonio", and tasty pate with special bread). The octopus was a lil salty, thats the only negative thing.
Local advice and hidden place with great food. Prices around 25€ a dish. Excellent service and real honest food, without Tamtam.
Slow service but food is worth the wait. Excellence risotto, octopus dish and veal dish.
This restaurant, in the heart or Milano, is the meeting point of local people. Dont be afraid to enter and ask for a table in the garden. You will enjoy your lunch time, with a gaspacho, a salad or pasta!
The food was delicious. The service not super friendly. The ambiance is great. It could be better with a friendlier staff!
