Akademika Koroleva St, 15, Moscow, Russia, 127427, Krasnoarmeysk
Rocket-like TV tower with 45 levels & an open-air observation deck accessible by guided tour only.
Views are stunning, as is the tower itself. Security is heavy getting in. Extremely long wait at the Coffee house, but it was peak season. Id say its a Moscow must-see.
Worth a place to visit.Built in 1967, this skyscraper still stands good. 5th tallest building in the world. Do visit by late evening to view the beauty of Moscow. There is a light show by 8 pm. Amazing to view from the doom
Worth visiting when in Moscow. The tallest building in Europe. You can actually see all Moscow from a height of 340 m. It also has some glass pieces of floor, where you can step on (if you dare!and take some nice photos! The ticket is quite expensive, but I think its worth giving the money to enjoy it once. There are some really strict security measures, so dont forget to have your passports with you.
This is a must place to visit. They have only two lifts working. So have to wait to reach on top.Children above 7 years of age is only allowed.
I had an incredibly opportunity to visit this amazing television tower, and the experience in the elevator was amazing just to know it can take 7 meters per minute was amazing. If you are in Moscow I recommend this as one of the places to visit.
The tower itself is so unique. It is designed alike rocket Number One observation deck in Moscow. One of not to miss place in Moscow.
Grand landmark, 540 m high TV tower. Observation deck at 340 m mark (glass-walled, even some glass floorand open-air one just above. Interactive displays. Grand panorama of Moscow, 360 degrees. Especially good in twilight.
A landmark which is visible from far and is known as their television tower. You can go inside with some little ticket and then view the whole city form top floor. History of moscow radio and television is also mentioned which can be seen. If you are not doing anything then it’s a must visit place.
Couldnt rate it less, the magnificent tower, the staff, the view of entire Moscow, literally, just through the sky is amazing,I recommended you all to visit it and have a grand view of it and not just that, please pay and have this once in a lifetime experience.
Its really really good. Its amazing. When I see first time am shocked because it is very good.we can see Moscow from it. the ticket price is near about 2200 rubal.
I think everyone already wrote that its an amazing place, I would like to agree but add some specifications: You can not enter without your passport, and the entrance procedure is airport like. You need like 15 to 30 minutes to do it. Once youre up there you forget everything, whole Moscow looks like an urban model. Its crazy. Moreover, the coffee shop is very cheap and you have a panoramic continuous 360 view, for the platform rotates, to make the best out of the experience. I personally advise two to three hours of time from the arrival to the tower in order to really enjoy it.
Amazing tour, amazing place .Very strong wind)
Staffs are helpful but security line is way too much. View is ok but the windows are not clear.
Awesome once in a lifetime experience. The ride to the top is just too great. The glass floor at the top is unique. Makes you feel nostalgic. Also a wonderful view of Moscow from the top is a visual treat I must say. The glass floor offers a view of a lifetime.
The birdeye view is something to behold indeed. However this place should be visited only in good weather conditions when the visibility is good otherwise its a waste of money. As you can see in this photo, due to poor weather conditions the view gallery has been shrouded by clouds making visibility very poor.
Nice to go up so high but the view of the city is very limited to the nearby area. Good to learn about the history of the tower and also get some extra information about other towers of the world. There are some good spots where you can make photos sitting on the glass floor.
A tour to the top is worth taking. It costs about 1200 ₽ but there is also a student discount. There is an interesting interactive gallery inside. A lift to the top is every few minutes. Time you spend on the top is not limited. There is also a cafe and a restaurant on the viewpoint.Viewpoint itself has two levels - one internal and one external on the fresh air. There is a glass floor with breathtaking perspective. The view is magnificent.Don’t forget your passport otherwise you won’t be allowed to enter
Great view! Remember to go with enough time to wait for the next available appointment to go up the tower. They try and keep numbers down as there’s not much space in the lift going up.
The ostankino is one of my all time favourite towers, it includes a rotating bar and very affordable restaurant with fantastic food in a very cosy atmosphere. The tower is very high up and quite narrow but the decor is fantastic and has a lovely feel to it.Admission to the tower requires you to go through two security checkpoints your passport is required for entry for foreigners and any dangerous goods theyll store for you in the locker area. Tower area has an outside viewing deck and inside one with audio tour and lots of info on the ground floor.
If you like to look from above you will love it . Rotating restaurant /bar and entrance it self require pre-booking . Website in EN.
Beautiful view over the whole city. Romantic and an awesome experience. The cafè is nice and for tourists not that expensive either. Will go there again for sure.
Best way to see Moscow from bird fly is to visit restaurant in Ostankino. Good food, easy going service.
Ostankino Tower (Останкинская телебашняis the tallest free-standing structure in Europe since more than 50 years, standing 540,1 meters over Moscow and the Oblast’s area (Москва и область). Marvelous opera of Structural Engineer Nikolay Vasilyevich Nikitin, it resembles a “Rocket” and held from 1967 to 1974 the world record as tallest structure, remaining nowadays one of the most evident symbols of the “Space Race” era between USSR Communism and American Capitalism (Empire States Building measures 443.2 meters); In my whole life I have never seen such a tight security protected tourists accessible facility and bare in mind the security personnel, as far as I have seen, does not speak a single word in English: Consider minimum 30 minutes to pass through the 3 Metal detector and X-Ray gates + passport control and reach the entrance of the tower: Once inside take the lift which in 42s brings you to an observation platform at 337 meters height w/ an exciting glass floor, an outdoor deck 3 meters above (Open only from April to Octoberand The “7th Heaven” restaurant which turns on its axis twice every 40 minutes so diners get the full panoramic view of Moscow; Prices to reach the 360º observation deck ranges from 700RUB (~9,64EURto 1300RUB (~17.89EURdepending on your age, time and day of the week (Open 7/7, 10am-10pm); Being far from any Metro Station the best way to reach the tower is via Uber car (~920RUB=12.66 EUR); Tip: If you leave anything in the bag storage consider that the numbers on the cabinets are not sequential (meaning that there is not a unique number 4, 5, etcbut instead you have letters for the cabinets columns (A, B, C, etc.so if you look for your cabinet remember both letter and number (e.g. 3A);
Amazing place to have a bird eye view of the city. 10-11 am slot is the cheapest one with discounted proce of 400 for an adult. Recommended to go wither early in the nornung or late in the evening to enjoy the view.
An awesome place which was in my must to visit list while visiting Moscow. And truly amazing architectural marvel
Its a very beautiful place as seen on photos. If you want to visit it its better to check prices before as it can be a little bit expensive for some. Usually on a working day in the morning prices are lower. Also be prepared for a strict control here, they will revise you more than in airport so its better not to carry a lot of things. On top of the tower you can visit a restaurant or a cafe. The time you spend on top is unlimited.
Weird surrounding area if getting there by walking but worth the view. Heavy security and armed entrance makes it daunting to get into but understandable... 1000 rubles to get to the top. Glass floor for those brave enough! The first floor is all in Russian no translations just a heads up! The bakery at the top has a few items at a $$$ price but worth a bite and sip for the view! Didnt make it into the restaurant but Im sure its spectacular! You can also go one floor higher and get the cold outdoor experience with better shots of the city Aka no window glare. The cafe area does slowly rotate which was cool as well. There is a Baskin Robins outside charging 120 per scoop of ice cream.
It is a quite interesting place. I really enjoyed my visit . The excursion was interesting. The workers here are always smiling . I recommend this place
Great veiw of moscow. There is a Cafe below the observation deck and a restaurant below the Cafe.Dont waste your time with the Cafe
Its one of those places you have to visit. The view from the top is wonderful, especially at sunset. There is also a part of glass floor for a minimum of thrill. Its very scratchy so it doesnt give you the feeling of beig over almost 400mt of void.Going in is difficult, prepare your passport and prepare to be checked multiple times. The ticket is somewhat expensive, but all in all I feel like suggesting the visit
Great views of the entire Moscow skyline when the weather is good. English descriptive audio available.
Really unique place to visit, this is really a special experience. The view is fantastic and the rotating panoramic restaurant is a great way to relax and see all the angles of the city at the same time. The security is super tight, even more than most airports, so try not to fool around because they sure wont.
The view is breathtaking. The height is overwhelming. As the tower lift takes you up and the ears feel the drop in pressure. Must visit when in Moscow. Entry fee applicable.
Out of nostalgic reasons (I had been there in the 80-s the last timewe went there again. Security has become very strict (you have to pass 3 security checks), so please arrive early. Book your tickets (₽1100 p.p.in advance online, so you can skip the lines at the register. Keep your ticket till you leave otherwise you cannot exit. The tower ist still very impressive, having been built in the 60s. It is 540m high including the antenna. At 340m there are 3 diners (restaurant, café and coffee bar). The restaurant is usually fully booked so reserve in advance (check the menu online). All three rotate, so you can enjoy the views without moving yourself.Thumbs up!
Wonderful view, breathtaking glass patches on the floor to stand upon and look through, no one actually counts your time of the visit, you can enjoy the panorama of Moscow as long as you want. Bring your own binoculars, its going to be fun. Beware of the steep prices at the cafe and the restaurant though.
Nice place to spend some time in peace and to have a view of the Moscow city. They have a cafe where you can have some snacks and beer. Smoking is not allowed once you enter the building. They also have a restaurant where prior booking is required. Entry ticket was 1100 Rubel in July 18
You can see the whole Moscow from here. Even the CBD is under your feet. A little bit far. But not many visitors.
Visited during FIFA WC 2018. Amazing place. Book your tickets in advance. There is airport like security but the place is worth every penny. There is guy who explains you everything about the place, although in Russian and then you go to the top where you can literally see all of Moscow in every direction. There is a revolving restaurant just below the top floor.
Very nice place to visit. Pay to go up to the top and see a beatifull panoramic view of the city. This TV tower is one of the highest buildings in Europe.
Goes without saying that from +300 meter high you have a great view, but this view from Moscow is amazing! There are no obstructions on this level which gives you a clear view over the city. You can count all seven sisters from Stalin, see the Kremlin and the huge Forrest.Best to get tickets upfront and take notice of the safety procedures which are tight.
Ostankino tower MOSCOW RUSSIA VERY EXCELLENT TV TOWER MUST VISIT TALLEST TOWER AND FANTASTIC VIEW OF MOSCOW CITY . Moscow Kremlin and church also vdnkh and sheremetyevo airport
Nice place but need better marketing. We went there n only few people there. Even the opening n closing time on google was wrong!! I have to corrected for them
Nice tv tower. But attention. The city center of moscow is far so do not expect a great view on it.
Bin to the CN tower in Toronto and this is something completely comparable! Apart from the food, food is bit fast food type but you do not have to order and personal is friendly. We had a beer and enjoyed the view for a whole circle. Outside platform is muss do as well, wind was not strong as we have been there! And the view is just breathtaking, there is no end to Moscow! We have enjoyed it extremely and is something I would strongly recommend. Ticket, if no consumption, costs around € 10 which I found ok!
The tallest building in europe. After strong security checks you can get a lift to the observation deck. The glass floor is thrilling. Upper deck offers free view over the city without windows. The lower decks accomodate restaurant and bar with rotating tables around the perimeter of the deck. A masterpiece of engineering. Nice infographics but sadly most of them only in russian language.
Nice views over Moscow and very cool restaurant. Be ready to go through security checks multiple times though, it takes significant time due to slow screening speed and long lines.
This is an interesting place to visit. Lots of panoramic views to behold. I suggest going while the sunset is happening. Just remember this place is in a different part of the world so the sun might set earlier than you think. Security is superior to any other place so bring very few items and it will help make your life easier. Had the chance to see a lightning bolt strike in a few different places during a storm. Moscow is kind of plain to look at from high above at night. The price is not the best but if you have time in your trip, watch a sunset from here and take some photos.
One of the best experience in my trip to Russian and Moscow in particular. The view is great, but you got to check for good weather. The restaurant is great too.
A “must do” on a Moscow trip. The spectacular view, the possibility to have (badcoffee on 340m and a very “soviet” document control makes it a unique experience.
Amazing and unique construction - mesmerizing views from the very top on Moscow. In order to get there - gotta buy the ticket in advance; an official ID is also required.
