Japanese restaurant featuring hibachi grill experiences along with an extensive selection of sushi.
Fantastic food. Sushi is fresh, options are great. Definitely recommend.
I ordered the egg rolls and fried crab as an appetizer. Absolutely wonderful. The food was fresh and delicious. I do recommend and I will return.
This evening I sat for 10 minutes no server came to my table to ask if we wanted something to drink, bring water or silverware let alone try and take our order. I was very disappointed I try to cater to the neighborhood resturants but I will never go back or order any take out again. We left and went to Shoguns much better experience and food and service was great
I don’t usually leave reviews but my boyfriend and I went for a late lunch, we had the best food and service from our waiter Donovan. He provided us with amazing service and communication, made the late lunch very much worth it! The food was great and we can’t wait to go again!
1st time having food here. Ordered for daughters 18th birthday. Food was delicious. Hubby had shrimp teriyaki, I had beef teriyaki, daughter had chicken fried rice and sushi. Clear soup was excellent. I also had gyoza. Absolutely fantastic. Sauces had good flavor. Very happy with quality, price, and presentation. I look forward to visiting and having a meal soon. Thank you for a great experience on my daughters birthday.
Was not happy with this place at all. First off I dont like how your forced to sit with other people, the place is small. Im sitting with a couple of my people and then people that was already there and we were waiting 15-20 minutes just to get food. The people that sat down to the left of me after us got their food before us. When I finally got my food it was such a small amount I was very disappointed. Also I was kind of pushed away from where the actual guy was cooking so I mostly saw his backside I didnt get to see much of the show I was not happy. Wont be returning.
In the area that this place is in there arent that many Japanese cuisine places to go but I can safely say this is one of the best Japanese restaurants Ive been too. Id say its even better than anything Downtown has to offer.
Food was delicious and the chef on the hibachi grill gave a awesome show
The waitress was phenomenal. She was very quick on her feet. We got into a culture convo and we couldve talked for hours, but she had a job to do. Although, the food couldve used more seasoning. All around, my husband and I are truckers and wanted a good evening out and this place obliged. I would definitely go back.
I enjoy coming to Osaka. It’s really the only restaurant in the area that has really good sushi and hibachi (I’ve tried other places nearby and wasn’t impressed). I usually go right after the lunch rush and right before the dinner rush, so I normally get nice, quick, and accurate service. I recommend giving the restaurant a try. If you aren’t a fan of dining in, you can always order takeout from here too!
The lunch portion of the filet mignon and rice was wonderful. Had the shrimp tempura appetizer, it was okay but the spicy mayo helped a lot. I recommend!
We brought a group for a birthday celebration. Its very entertaining and good for groups, they make it fun. The food is good just a little lacking in the flavor department.
Very nice sashimi and sushi. Good service
Do not recommend, especially for date night. Here’s why! My husband and I were confused by the culture of the restaurant. It is overdue for modernization. The staff is young and the music is trendy the atmosphere was dark, dingy and dirty. The booth seats were cracked with no cushion, quite funny actually. On a serious note for an $80 bill I expect more.We frequent high end sushi establishments and we judge sushi by their Fuji rolls. The Fuji mountain was greasy, overly breaded, and overly coated in sauce topped in a thick, raw jalapeño. Horrible. Not authentic to the delicate nature of Japanese cuisine. The chicken hibachi was dry, green tea was fluorescent green, eel sauce on the crispy roll was bland and watery. To end my review, the shrimp was not properly deveined. Unacceptable. Please take pride in your craft, especially if you’re representing a culture, my culture.
I’ve ordered from here many times and the food is very good, they have always gotten our online order correct. Today me & my husband decided to dine in and the service was great
My favorite Hibachi place of all time!! Ask for Jimmy!! Hes an AWESOME CHEF!!!
Always have an Amazing Experience here !! 5STAR service every time I go and it has to be at least 5-10 years that I’ve been eating here !! Food is always amazing and fresh, sushi is great and staff is always Professional!! Highly recommended to anyone that loves Japanese food !!
Very good!Better than most local Hibachi places around. The chefs are fun and very good and everything from the sushi to the fried rice is excellent!Definitely a regular work lunch stop for me.
Food was really bland. Service was ok. Hibachi was closed due to a party, that was the only reason I went there.
The food was good the chefs where funny and overall I had good experience
Called and asked if they were taking online orders this evening. The girl on the phone said it was fine if we placed it before 9pm which I did. Placed an online order just to show up and them tell me they weren’t taking online orders.
I normally go to Shogun but decided to give them a try. I placed a to go order! Shrimp was burnt and steak & chicken was dry! Never again!
Stopped in for a quick bite. The waiter was very polite and expedited my order quickly. Food presentation was beautiful and the flavors wanted me to ask for more. Over all I give this place a 10/10. Inexpensive, quick service, and flavorful.
Bought a brand new car and came here to celebrate. Then i walk out and my car is showered in cooking oil. Dont park in side. Every car on the side was covered. The food was good but not good enough to cover my car in oil. I repeat dont park on the side they dont have warning signs or anything.
Even tho it wasnt busy when i got here I felt service wasnt nice. People here seemed to be in a rush, not welcoming and impatient. The food wasnt really good at all. I dont recommend this place because its not good quality. Nothing memorable about the sushi rolls and the place itself seemed dirty.
The peppered tuna is real good here. The other nigiris are pretty decent and overall good food. Hibachi is run of the mill but entertaining.
I felt more as if I was getting hit on by the manager who wears sports pants to his job! He kept asking if I needed anything but wouldnt ask other tables. He was awfully weird and very aggressive! I will not return and hope this place closes because the waitresses behind me kept complaining about working there and the cooks were eating most of the time. Just gross
My favorite place to eat sushi.Sushi cheff is awesome, costumer service needs a bit of improvement but overall is really nice!!
Today I went in for dine-in. I was very pleased with the service. I wish I had kept my receipt to name the server but he was very generous. We got our drinks immediately after ordering and I could tell he was very motivated to work and was happy to be there.
I ordered a Habachi for three, but I only got served for 2. I ordered so much food I didnt notice. I also never said anything to our server. I would love to go back but will say something next time if I am missing an item I ordered.
Love this restaurant. Always here with the family for birthday parties or just family get together. And rhe first time I decided to get twin lobsters they was so over cook. I wanted to send it back but never ever in 4 yes ever sent. Anything back but I will never order it again. It really hurt me to my heart to rate a 3 today.
I am so thankful for restaurants like this that understand that sometimes families with autistic children want to have a nice time out eating too! They allowed is to bring outside food for my son so that we may celebrate my daughters bday. I am so thankful for that! And the staff was great!
Hands down the BEST dining experience I have ever had. From the time we entered the restaurant we received great customer service and once we were seated our waiter was very attentive. The hibachi cook was awesome as well. The food was fresh and delicious. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.
Our family visited for my brothers birthday last night and had a wonderful time! The food was excellent and so was the hibachi show..our chef was funny and entertaining. We will be back!
I always enjoy the show at Osakas. My son loves to come here as well. The steak and shrimp is my favorite.
Great sushi and nice atmosphere. Only thing I didnt like is that they added a gratuity to my check with 4 others in the group each paying separately.
Best Japanese restaurant in the east side hands down. If you want good sushi rolls and sake, Id definitely recommend this place.
Fried rice is very different than other places and I mean good. Portions are filling and always ask for the seafood sauce you wont regret it. The salad is the delightfully light and the ginger dressing gets you craving to steal your kids salad so dont pass on this included side item with your meal. Mushroom broth is another free side item you definitely want to have. Overall its great Japanese food for a reasonable price. The only star that I withhold is the decor needs updating and the unique free candies at the checkout are discontinued.
Great food, fun and family! I had the combo plate.
The chef put half of what I ordered on my friends plate the NY steak order. I eat like a beast and left insulted. The photo is from my friends plate, she didnt even order steak....
I have been going here since the old owners now that they have sold it sadly it’s not the same. My son is only a few months! MONTHS! Came tonight and it was horrible! My family of 5 including my baby waited 20 minutes To have been asked if we wanted anything to drink. We immediately noticed that there were three people talking sitting down at the other table who worked here just on their cell phones carrying a conversation. When the food arrives we were not giving any type of plastic ware, napkins! The sushi is no longer 8 pieces only 5! Same price though!!!! When we received the bill we noticed immediately that it was a lot higher than normal. Well they now add 18% gratuity party of 5 mor more! I’m definitely fine with paying gratuity at my own expense, however I do expect to have better service than this. And I was wondering why we had the worst service ever and it was because she knew that her tip was automatic.Never returning!!!!
They have really good food i can continue telling you about it but this is something you gotta try for yourself really nice and friendly people and if you need help on using the chopsticks they are willing to help you. The flavor of the food is amazing i give it a 10 out of 10
Beat sushi rolls in town. Made it to my top five sushi spots at #3. Best fried rice so far. So close to my house so I will more definitely make it back for dinner. Chickens wings were fire!!
So delicious, yummy , and quick service our Waitress name was Justice and she was a sweetheart and very informative we had 2 different Appetizers Fried dumplings And the cheese puffs, Then we had the pick 3 Sushi, One child had the fried noodles, the other had upon noodles soup
Best sushi ever!! The grant roll is superb
Best sushi Ive had since Ive been in Houston (only 3 weeks 😁)! I had the Red Osaka Roll and Fried Calamari as an appetizer. Delicious! 😋
Amazing food and service. We ordered two Bento Box (one Salmon, one Tempura Shrimpfor $18 each. Got all of this! Including sushi, surprisingly good rice, ginger, wasabi, soy sauce, and drink refills.
Ill start off by saying this was a good place for lunch, great lunch special. Their was some good and bad things about this location which is the reason I took a star. The go li d thing about it was the reasonable price you can get sushi or just a regular plate for under 10 dollars at lunch, good deal.se CV ind customer service was good and restaurant was clean. However, the reason I took a star was because the location was hidden and their was little parking, other than that I enjoyed my food and location.
We sat at the hibachi! The waitress was very attentive and friendly. Our cook was very fun and entertaining and the food came out delicious! My fault and I had a great time watching our cook. I would gladly go again with friends and I highly recommend.
Ok never complain about this place sushi good but just place an Oder to go for a large grilled chicken and rice and man I was dissatisfied all that rice and barley any chicken I will not place another Oder to go unless for sushi oh by the way they forgot my wasabi!
