Osaka Hibachi Sake Bar & Restaurant in Moncton

What an excellent experience. Ive wanted to try Teppanyaki for a long time but we dont have this where I live. The staff was great, they squeezed us in when we didnt have reservations and I am so glad they did. The food was delicious, and the experience was just awesome. I cant wait until our next trip to Moncton to try them again. Cant go wrong with any of the options. Highly recommend!

My favorite Japanese restaurant 😍

Korean own Japanese restaurant. When I visit they were super busy. Tried to call to have reservation but they did not pick up the call. We arrived at the restaurant. They are having a full house. I can hear the phone kept ringing and waitress just ignored the calls.Food serves fast. Food quality is average. $$$ , service is okey. Street parking only. Hot green tea charge by pot ($15/pot).

Had the Sunday roll and the mango roll. Amazing! Incredible flavours, great price, gorgeous presentation.Each roll came with 10 pieces so my photo is missing a few cause I was way too excited to eat! Would absolutely come back here and recommend!My dad had the lobster tempura which looked unreal and mum had the salmon teriyaki which also looked great!Excellent service and great vibe!!!

Salmon teriyaki was delicious. I was surprised to see two pieces of salmon!

Amazing food and what a peaceful vibe, I would give 5 stars but the customer service is so slow, I waited a half hour just to make a drink order and another half hour to make food order even though I repeated I’m ready but they will just walk past you. The check out is honestly worse I once waited an hour an half to get my bill I literally walked up to the front and still nobody. I also wish they would hire people that understand and speak English no hate but repeating your self and sounding it out for the server is just exhausting after a while. But please, the wait time os bad the the food is absolutely amazing 10/10 for the food!!!!!!

The chef was amazing, very funny, made you feel very comfortable, food was delicious, only downfall its hard to get your drinks refilled from the waitresses, overall great place to go,

We visited twice in the past 4 weeks! Food is absolutely fabulous! We had the same chef both times and he truly made it a fabulous experience! Portion sizes are huge and cooked ro perfection right in front of us. Restaurant was clean and well laid out both times. The one down fall both times was the waitress. We had the same chef and waitress both times. The waitress was unwelcoming, and seemed like she truly hated her job. It definitely took away from all the other positives of both our visits. Will definitely return, as the experience and food were definitely worth the price. It would have been a 5 star review were it not been for lack personality and caring of the waitress.

Terrible experience. The sushi is not wrapped tight. The portions for some of the main dishes have gotten smaller. The overall atmosphere has changed. No more upbeat greeting from the sushi chefs at the bar. They still sort of get you when you walk in but theres no enthusiasm there. Ive been going to this place for over 7 years for special occasions. The first few years were great. 5 stars. But the last 3 years have gone down the toilet. Last night for our anniversary we decided to keep the tradition and hopefully have a better experience. Not satisfied at all. Maybe they changed ownership or management who knows, who cares. Ill never eat here again. Had to ask 3 times for spicy mayo on the side. 3-4 different staff passed by our table frantically. Skip the dishes guys waiting at the door for over half an hour. It wasnt even busy!

It was the worst restaurant where Ive ever visited in Moncton. The food wasnt bad, but the service was terrible. It took a long time to order after sitting down and when the food came out, no one asked us if the food was ok. When we asked about the menu, the server gave us poor explanation and we realized that we ordered the same menu twice when our food came out. It was a bad experience and I dont wanna recommend this restaurant to someone.

We had a reservation for 7:30 and we never got served until about 8:15, my appetizer was never given to me and all the food was very plain with very limited flavour and the chicken I had was extremely dry and flavorless, the chefs were good at at what they did but the food was not up to par with the performance nor was it up to par with 50 bucks for a bit of okay shrimp and dry chicken, rice was also an extra 5 dollars and is not included, overall bad experience besides the good performance by the chef.

You can reserve your table ahead to avoid waiting time. We waited for around 15 minutes so it was not that bad. The food overall it’s ok, nothing that really stood out and made you go woooo! (Maybe we just didn’t order their specialitiesgenerous option and ingredients were fresh

Food is excellent but a little slow coming out. Prices are comparable to other places Ive been. If you ever go for your birthday dont tell them. Its the first restaurant Ive ever been to that charges an extra $10 to the dessert to add a candle and to sing happy birthday for 10 seconds, and they actually brought the Cheesecake after they were told the birthday recipient was lactose intolerant.

If you are looking for authentic Japanese food, this is not the place.The tori yaki is not grilled, but boiled. Do they even know that taki means grill in Japanese?My noodle soup is tasteless and lethally salty.Variety tempura is made of an army of sweet potatoes and a couple longly beans.And yes, the place is very busy and understaffed, so if you order two dishes, waiting the second one is like waiting for a bus in Ottawa.

Great chef and food. Our waitress was terrible. No smile and we had to ask other waiters and the chef to get a more drink or water. I mean she was miserable.

We have been on the road touring the Atlantic provinces in the last ten days, and really wanted to have a Japanese dinner for a change. Osaka doesn’t disappoint. We had dishes that are familiar, such as sushi and sashimi, ramen, takoyaki, etc. Everyone there were friendly, and service was quick. All in all we had a nice evening.

So nice we tried it twice! Our family are huge Japanese food lovers and we heard good things so we gave it a shot. Definitely met our high expectations! Love the variety on the menu, service and food quality were excellent. We had such a good experience that the next evening we scrapped our other dinner plans and ordered take out. We will definitely be returning!

Walked in thinking it was a Tappenyaki restaurant but that is another area we had to reserve for but decided to stay and enjoy some really great Sushi. Our waiter made sure we had a great experience. Even made sure I got a piece of cheese cake for my birthday as he over heard us talking about it.

Highly entertaining, great food and service. We had a large group of 12 and they didnt fail to keep everyone engaged and laughing.Highly recommend a visit!

We visited for a family Birthday celebration and had a wonderful evening. We had the Teppanyaki, the food was delicious and our Chef was very entertaining! Can very highly recommend and definitely pay the extra for the fried rice - its delicious 😋

We were here for lunch. The food was good. There are many things we wanted to try but so bad we could not with just one visit. So, we ordered three dishes for that day.Started with Yakitori! The main dishes were a Bento box and Osaka Style ribs.We will go back and try more!

My fiancee and I decided to finally try Osakas for the fist time since I discovered it 2 years ago, needless to say without a doubt the best experience we have ever had...The waiter and waitress we the most polite and helpful people we have ever met in a restaurant setting, they catered to our every need and were always just a moments notice away, the waiter took the time to explain each and every different piece on the dish, what was in it and described the others for my fiancee so she knew which ones were spicy or not which my fiancee very much appreciated..The waitress got us everything we ask for that was extra and did so with a very generous smile and even interacted with us a bit about our weekend and were we were from and check on us regularly to make sure we were enjoying our experience...Even the Chefs were very polite and entertaining, answered all of my questions without even the slightest hint of annoyance, all 3 of the Chefs were very entertained as I tried the real Wasabi root for my very first time as I coughed and try to catch my breath from the shock of the spice and aromatics of the root..The meal was top notch, by far the best sushi and rolls we have ever tried, the fish was fresh and very nice, the rice was cooked perfectly and our favority part of the dish was the Monkey Bomb and would recommend it to anyone to try ...The prices were definitely on point for the amount of food which we got and we had plenty of left over for a bit of late night snack after we won a little bit at the Casino...If If we could give the Osaka 10 stars I would but 5 is all in can give and that just doesnt seem like enough, we will definitely be going back and recommend everyone try it...Looking forward to our next experience...

I love a good teppanyaki style restaurant and this one doesnt disappoint! The food here is awesome! Great atmosphere and very friendly service! There are many options on the menu. I really enjoyed my experience here! Top notch! Stay safe out there people and please, be kind to one another!

I went there to celebrate my birthday and the service was excellent. They have the authentic flavor of Japan, I enjoyed the food a lot. If I visit the town again I would definitely go back.

The location was really busy but worth the wait. The tempura was excellent and the main dishes were perfect. The massive sushi boat was perfect for a larger group. I would highly recommend this restaurant! The small bowl of soup and salad just made it that much nicer!

A great experience from start to finish. The host was very polite and helpful. The waiter was equally polite and helpful. A very cozy, warm atmosphere thats great for a quiet evening meal. I had Red Dragon roll and the gf had her favourite, Fire Chicken. Didnt break the bank and well definitely be back.

Ordered a curry steamed rice with extra karaage chicken via Skipthedishes and spent $25 for this. Rice was hard and tasted raw, curry was too salty and chicken was like from last night and tasted meatless. Gave it a three just because I’m happy that it’s still open at 8pm after 6 hours of long drive for the day.

It can meet the needs of different people, whether it is a vegetarian or a person who is allergic to seafood, you can find suitable dishes. If you are a person who loves to eat sashimi, this is also very suitable for you.

Always such amazing food here! I got my favorite rolls black dragon and Philadelphia and asked for spicy mayo to dip them in.Hubby got Japanese hot pot spicy squid and spicy tuna and spicy salmon.We got japchae noodles for the little ones and it was a large dish so we all had some.

Have eaten there at multiple occassions. Food was good. So we decided to order via Uber Eats for a pickup. Ordered at 3pm, estimated pickup was 6:45-7:15pm, got there at 7:03pm only to find out that the order hasnt even been prepared. Notes from the order was not followed. The girl also suggested to just cancel the order. Why would we bother arriving at the location to cancel, we could have just called in? POOR SERVICE. Wouldnt go back and be stressed out with the service. Totally not worth it!

Amazing dinner at Osaka yesterday, amazing staff and food. A good mistake on their part, I got more than I ordered! If youre looking for sushi or fire chicken or Japanese udon curry this is your spot!!

The food was very good, and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I went there with a friend who has celiac disease, and the waitress could easily identify what was gluten free and what substitutions they had on the spot. The sushi was fresh and flavourful, and didnt take long to be prepared. The staff also gave you your space while still checking in when needed which is a tough balance to achieve.

I had the baked sushi roll and it was absolutely delicious and the price couldnt be better! My husband ordered two types of rolls, that even though were good, they had too much rice and the fish was overcooked. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner.

Fun place for an evening out. Great food and entertainment when seated at the grill. The chefs are full of personality! If you are brave enough to try the saki squirts, and you aren’t driving... wear something you don’t mind a little spillage on lol - great fun and apparently it warms you up quickly.My friends and I tried the salmon, steak and scallops that night... everyone was pleased with their choices. The food is plentiful! We ate half and took the other half home for the next day. It would be a great spot to bring guests for a different flair.

Im from Toronto so I might be biased because, while this place has a lot of variety, I feel like it isnt the best quality of sushi that Ive had. Again, that is Im comparison to Toronto sushi, so it could be the best in comparison to Moncton sushi. Lol. Service was friendly. :)

Love the enthusiasm of the staff from the time I walked into the restaurant. The rolls were nicely presented...almost a work of art. Everything was fresh and delicious. I ordered the green tea and it was of the genuine variety not the bag type. The server always had a nice smile and was very attentive.

Great entertainment and the food was incredible. Our meal began with miso soup and a citrus salad both were incredibly flavourful. My daughter and I both had the salmon and filet mignon while my husband had the steak with shrimp and scallops. Everything was cooked to perfection and the fried rice was amazing. We had a lot of fun and will definitely go back.

Best sushi that I’ve ever had. The fish quality is so good that I could feel like it’s melting in my mouth. The rice in the hand roll is perfect. Well cooked and season. Service was really good too. The staffs were really friend. They welcomed us as soon as we walk into the restaurant. If I come back to Moncton, I would definitely come here again! Highly recommend for sushi lovers!! We ordered salmon avocado hand rolls and sweet potato (yamhand rolls also a sashimi dinner combo ❤️
