Long-running Italian throwback offering specialty foodstuffs, baked goods & pizza in casual digs.
Amazing people, pasta, pizza, and more! An Omaha treasure!
One of the best experiences I have ever had! Visited from Sioux Falls to visit because of the Google reviews and was completely blown away with the service and the food! You have to check this place out!
Omaha native, grew up on the other side of the town, so only came here for the first time a couple of days ago. The combo pizza was well-built even though it had mountains of toppings, and the flavor was great, and the pizza style unique. Apparently for first time patrons theyll comp you a bag of cookies. I had the ricotta cookies, they were so good! I went back the very next day. They made me a pizza even though usually they dont do them in the morning, so I could make my flight. Then they comped me a pop, while one of the guys chatted me up like I was his neighbor. This place treats you like family, and that feeling is even better than their pizza. Go to this place for great pizza and treats. You will not be disappointed.
Great food, great service. People were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back. Portion sizes were very generous and the pizza was amazing. As well as the cannolis. The service was possibly the best part of the experience however:)
Orsi’s Italian Bakery and Pizzeria… gosh, where to begin?I’ve got to be frank to begin with. Me and my traveling companions were in Omaha on the second day of our three day stint in town, and we‘d had a hankering for some good, hearty Italian cuisine after the nightmares we experienced at Spaghetti Work’s in Downtown Omaha. We googled for local eateries in town, and settled on Orsi’s. We had expected a sit-down restaurant as per the listing on Google, but found that it was take-out service available. This would not detract from the overall experience, however it is worth noting.Being that we were from out of town, we were pretty encumbered by the number of options available to us, the gentleman at the counter walked us through the ordering process, and did not try and up-sell us. He played it straight, and offered fantastic customer service. Our food was estimated to take 15 minutes to be prepared, but 15 minutes flew by as we were able to entertain ourselves by browsing the bakery offerings, and the various photographs, awards and other assorted baubles that adorned the wall, highlighting and celebrating the bakery’s storied Italian-American heritage. We ordered one pizza to serve the four of us, four cannoli, and a 2 liter bottle of Sierra Mist, but were pleasantly surprised to receive an extra eight pieces of garlic bread to boot. More of that fantastic customer service shining through. We eventually found a nice neighborhood park right in the heart of Omaha’s Little Italy District where we sat down at a table and unpacked what we would find out to be some of the finest pizza we’d ever had. This was not like your usual take away. Your Pizza Huts and Dominoes and Little Caesars pale in comparison to the cacophony of flavors brought forth by Orsi’s delectable offerings. For our dessert, we ordered four of their famous half and half cannoli, which were everything we expected and more, and which left us with a lasting impression of the words we’d heard upon the presentation of these Italian pastries… “four half and half’s for the Ichabods.”All in all, we found Orsi’s to be a relatable and empathetic establishment, with real as much heart as it had character. Orsi’s, a place with roots in blue-collar Italian-Americana proved itself time and again, and the next time we’re Omaha’s way, I will be making a point of returning to Orsi’s.
Delicious! The pizza is very unique with a nice thick crust and crumbled hamburger. The combo with black olives and hamburger and whatnot is also delicious. The employees are incredibly kind, too. It is a highlight of town.
The pizza was awesome! Worth the drive from nw Omaha.
Best pizza Ive ever had in my life!! I visited this restaurant while in Omaha, Nebraska, and Im so glad we did!! It was delicious! Highly recommended you eat at this restaurant if youre in the area!
What a gem! Were visiting Omaha for the first time and wanted to visit Orsis it wasnt far from our hotel. The 2 guys we saw working we so kind and generous! A local also told us to get the half Loaf which was so good! I cant wait for our next visit to Omaha to come here again!
Five stars are not enough for Orsis. Stellar reviews led me here during a stop today on a road trip from NY. Im so glad I stopped, because the pizza is delicious. Robust, tasty sauce, delicious dough... freshly, quickly baked! Im guessing the owner waited on me. Really friendly guy who chatted me up and gifted some killer garlic bread and a loaf of freshly baked bread. I felt like a local, which was welcoming. The Italian grocery items, beverage options and deli offerings are ample and varied. Thank you for the kind service, top notch pizza and snacks!
This is some of the best, if not the best pizza I’ve ever had. I got the 1/2 sheet with Italian sausage, green peppers and mushrooms. Delicious! I’ve had pizza all over the country and I’m very impressed with Orsi’s.
100+ year old bakery in the Little Italy section of Omaha. We went in to check out the baked goods but were surprised to find pizza and deli meats and cheeses can also be bought. We were slightly disappointed in the lack of variety of the baked goods, but then again we came late in the afternoon many things may have been sold out. Im sure they bake fresh everyday. The cannoli was fantastic.
What a GREAT PIZZA! All the ingredients were Fresh! High Quality, REAL HAMBURGER! The COMBO is AMAZING!!!! Plus I took home a Few Loaves of Italian Bread! It’s been my Favorite for over 40 years!!! LOVE to toast it and Spread REAL BUTTER on it when it’s hot….PLUS it makes the absolute BEST GARLIC BREAD in the World!! THANKS FOR A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! WE WILL BE BACK!
I stopped in to buy bread and other goodies. It was a busy day with Santa Lucia going on but everything I wanted was readily available. Thr line moved efficiently, as as always, the staff make me feel welcome.
Found this Omaha landmark pizzaria on Google and tool the chance to try out and I was glad I did. Italian heritage up for display the moment you walk into the establishment. I found myself reading the many stories connected with the pizzaria on the wall. Service was friendly. Ordered a pizza and it was good. Taste like homemade and not greasy like the typical franchise locations. Not really a fan of the garlic bread it came with although a nice unexpected touch. You need to checkout the wonderful mural created South Omaha Murals. What a wonderful recognition of the local culture.
Just moved out here from the west coast and stopped in for a pizza today, easily some of the best if not the best pizza I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
Neighborly. Like when you have the nicest neighbors. Old school bakery that takes you back in time, best cannolis in Omaha, classic Italian pizza. Dont let a neighborhood on the rebound scare you. You are gonna feel like you belong right away.
All your needs pizza , bread, deli meats , Italian products, & the new Little Italy Mural is awesome
Great pizza, great atmosphere. Didnt matter they were busy, they took time to talk to everyone!
Anyone who thinks this is good pizza has never had a real pizza. The crust was not made with pizza dough. It was Italian bread dough that was flattened then topped with a very mediocre sauce and not enough cheese or toppings to cover up the inadequacy of the crust. We ordered two half sheets and nobody in our group finished a single piece. We threw away almost $60 worth of pizza. Its a shame. Obviously, we won’t be back.
Calling All Foodies! (Yes, you. You absolutely must visit this wonderful Italian bakery and store. (I cant even begin to describe the flavors and culture that await youAfter that, tour the historic neighborhood. I believe that this will be on your list of places to visit for any future Omaha trips.
You’re robbing yourself if you don’t come and grab some food from Orsi’s. Absolutely phenomenal. Grabbed the quarter pan pizza and it was a great size and soooo tasty. They even had potatoes and broccoli as a topping! 10/10.
This was an interesting experience. I expected a full service restaurant, but found out it was more of a store where you order pickup, to go, or groceries. We asked about eating in and they informed us they have these tables they can set up next to the bench. So it is technically a dine in restaurant. The pricing here is fair. The sizes of the pizza were generous. It looked like Detroit style pizza to me, served in rectangles. The people working felt more like a family vibe and they were very friendly and casual.Parking is available on the street for free. I took a photo of the parking area next to the building. We ordered the garlic cheese bread and a sheet pizza that we got split into two different toppings. I went with a mostly vegetarian, so we didnt get meat options which is what Id normally try. I did like the cream cheese addition. That was a nice touch.Id like to go back and try more options. Hopefully find myself that 5 star combination.
All I can say is wow!! Cute little Italian bakery and pizza shop. The man behind the counter was so sweet. Pepperoni pizza was delicious! They threw in a free order of cheese garlic bread and it was so good! If you are in the Omaha area, you must stop here!!
Place was clean, pizza was good, staff was friendly and wait time was about 15 minutes for a to go order. What else can you ask for? Overall pizza was a 8.5. Very impressed. Highly recommended.
Excellent pizza, and you have to try the garlic bread!
Ill give the place 5 stars for the service, and Italian roots. I think there are room for improvements.I tried the quarter sheet of pizza. Single topping Italian sausage. The sausage was very good, but browned until quite small. Also. The meat was under the cheese which I found to be unique.I have been to Italy 3 times. This is definitely a family style recipe. The crust reminded me of Italian baked pizza (not wood fired). We also tried the Cannolis. The pastry was delicious. The perfect amount of crunch and flavor without being burnt. The vanilla filling could have more of a ricotta taste, to me it tasted more like a Bavarian creme you would get in a donut.Bonus is they sell tipo 00 flour by the 4 lb bag. This flour is a must for making any style of pizza crust.Didnt get a chance to buy any bread but it smelled good!
We come from Lincoln to get their provolone and always end up getting some sausage or cold cuts because everything is so good. Their pizza and is amazing and you can get dough if you want to diy at home.
Very good pizza. Loved the surprisingly thin crust, burnt cheese, and tomato sauce.
Flew in from Virginia to look at apartments, we had never been to omaha before, store owner was friendly, personable, and kind. Pizza was delicious. Will come back and try the other menu offerings and the imported Italian grocery in the future.
Absolutely wonderful family owned business. The owner is a wonderful person. I first tried there food a few years ago while visiting Omaha. I was rushing to another restaurant after, but the manager stopped me and told the delivery driver to take me to the second restaurant (not affiliated with Orsis). They give you free cheesy bread when youre a new customer. I really love their pizza, their Gounarooni and their staff.
This place has a genuine Italian feel! The homemade bread and meats and cheeses are wonderful. The service was unbeatable and they will steer you in the right direction if you need help or have questions. Can’t speak to the pizza yet, but we will 100% be back!
OMG!!!!This place is AMAZING!My besties and I are visiting from florida and we needed a spot for some late lunch/early dinner. This place popped up and the pics looked great so we decided to go. I’ve never seen a restaurant that reminded me so much of my Italian grandmothers home. From the pictures covering the walls to the garlic smell. Pizza? DELICIOUS! Garlic Bread? DELICIOUS!Long story short. This place is so so so so so so so so so GREAT. You should go. I recommend 1000 times.
Their pizza is delicious! You can taste such a difference from other pizzas in everything they use but especially the crust. Their mini pizza is always the perfect amount to eat for lunch or dinner and I always end up having a slice or two to save for later. I recently grabbed a bag of their ricotta cookies with frosting and I was in heaven!! They taste like the super soft frosted sugar cookies you buy in the store but even better. Always satisfied when I go to Orsi’s ☺️
Great 🇮🇹 pizza and may God bless the owner. For dar de comer al ambriento.amen.
It’s a hidden gem! Best pizza in town. Love it! We always go there for 2 lbs. of Capocollo slices, and when the owner is in a good mood, he gives us a loaf of Italian twist 😊 sweet!!!
Great food and great people! True authentic experience. Highly recommend stopping in to pick up a pizza or meat and cheese for some charcuterie or sandwiches!
Friendly owner and staff who take pride in their food. The Italian sausage pizza and garlic bread was amazing, seasoned well, and with just the right amount of chew. They were kind enough to unfold a table so we could have lunch inside. Well definitely be back!
Great service. You can really tell that they care about the customers. I saw one of the young employees walk out in the cold wearing shorts and a t-shirt helping a guy carry his order to the car. The owner was awesome for giving me free garlic bread just for being a first time customer.Im a fat guy with a big appetite, I got the medium size (quarter sheetfor myself and it was plenty food to get me full. Two regular skinny people will be fine with a medium. They have a loyal fan base and you can see why. They close early though so keep that in mind.
First time visitor & will definitely be back next time we are in the area!Pizza was fantastic!Garlic bread so yummy! And we enjoyed browsing while the food was being prepared.
When you walk into the store, you first glance to the right and to the left to the faces of Omaha’s Italian or Sicilian members of long ago. What a treat to view history and get a glimpse of the past. Next I enjoy truly awesome meats from the deli case or the awesome bread and cheese . My next favorite is the Olive oil the Kalamata version is my goto.Great people!!Then it’s the pizza oh so good…!!!
Loved their pizzas and garlic breads. Very authentic. The store owners are very friendly and it is a family owned business. You just don’t buy pizza here but also witness the history of Omaha. During my stay at Omaha I always bought pizza from them. Nice place and nice people.
Must stop if you’re in the area! Right near i80 so it’s perfect if you’re driving through. Super friendly place with quick service, homemade, delicious pizza with authentic Italian goodies! The family friendly atmosphere and workers really set this place apart.
The pizza is good, but it needs more sauce for my taste. The wait for the pizza was short, around 10=15 mins.
Yes!! 100% the coolest place to get pizza in downtown, service was great pizza was well priced and perfect amount of spice sauce and cheese!! I got have Hawaiian band the Canadian bacon was the best Iv ever had!
Best place ever! We ordered a double crust pizza. Outstanding. Orsis nice Mr. Hall let us sample the cheese bread with sauce and we were hooked. Its the best thing I can remember eating... ever. Do yourself a favor and get over there. (See the little Italy sculpture around the corner. Its a giant fork in a plate of spaghetti.)
Wasted too many chances to experience Orsis. Absolutely awesome and now my co-number 1 pizza place. The pizza was light but intense. A drive from Gretna seems a couple minutes away!!
We stopped on our way through town,, ordering ahead for takeout. Awesome pizza and even better garlic bread. We got a medium combo which was plenty for three of us. Enjoyed the photos and neighborhood.
Orsis Italian Bakery and Pizzeria at 7th and Pacific has a 4 to 5 Star Pizza .If you are craving Pizza just call in an order. This is not your sit down restaurant but call, pick up and you wont be disappointed. Good Tasting Pizza
Excellent pizza, priced very well, can tell the cheese is made from scratch. Cheesy bread is also amazing, they have a half loave or full. Worth checking out as I always make a side trip for Orsis!
