Carefully sourced British ingredients take centre stage in this wood-panelled hotel dining room.
Correct and friendly service. Had the 8 course tasting menu.
High quality food, what was very disappointing was the sommelier service we needed to call him every time we needed more wine (with only 3 tables in the restaurant . His attitude was quite rude too (if I remember right his name was Sergioon the other hand the manager treated us very well and you could see that he is very passionate about his job!
We had the 8 course menu and every course was delicious and all worked together very harmoniously! It feels like a real treat eating there and well worth the price, we would definitely go back for other special occasions.
Good atmosphere, very fast service, attentive staff and the ambience was amazing.
Excellent food really tasty good service and a good price too definitely coming back again
I came here for dinner alone. From the moment I walked in I was treated like royalty. I was a little early for my dinner reservation and they kindly escorted me to the bar for a pre dinner drink. When I finished they led to me to my table, located in the exact spot I requested. Every course was described in detail. They never failed to suggest the order in which to eat things. The flavors were sublime. The cocktails were delicious and expertly crafted. When I went to the bathroom, they rushed to open the doors for me. I truly felt taken care of.This place definitely deserves a Michelin star. I dined at a different restaurant that had a Michelin star the next night , but I can honestly say that Ormer was way better in all aspects. I’ll definitely be coming back and I recommend it to everyone.
Great food and great attention to detail.
Amazing restaurant ! Fantastic 5 stars experience , the 6 courses dishes is really tasty and full of flavours . Awesome service as well . Highly recommended
We chose the eight course tasting menu at Ormer to celebrate a special occasion; and it did not disappoint! Both the food and the service was absolutely fantastic. Such a memorable experience. We did not pair the courses with wine as we are light drinkers, but still, the sommelier asked us what what type of wine we generally enjoy, and made a recommendation of wine by the glass to enjoy throughout the meal.We will definitely return for celebration meals in the future. Absolutely incredible food.
Great food, perfect ambiance, and excellent service. Its worth every pound spent!
Wonderful food and excellent service. Manuel and his team were outstanding. The cod dish was one of the best courses imhane eaten. Flavour and texture were.wonderful.
Michelin-worthy food and fantastic service in a well-hidden Mayfair dining room. Its tasting menu only (6 or 8 courses, with an optional cheese course). Every single dish was excellent so its hard to choose a favourite, but Im going to say the langoustine and the poached cod were at the top. Absolutely divine. And while its not cheap, its actually reasonably priced by Mayfair standards, especially when you consider its within a 5* hotel too. The wines were good but the food was the standout - although the red dessert wine from Uruguay was very unusual and delicious, and well worth a try. Top marks all round!
Well worth a visit! Excellent value for money, the food was exceptional. The 8 course tasting menu was well worth it. Will be returning for the next menu change.
How this place does not have a Michelin is beyond me. From food to staff it was outstanding. Tasting menu was creative and really took you on a journey. Overall fantastic. Would of happily paid double for it !
I visited Ormer Mayfair recently during a trip to London. I visited with my girlfriend and we both had the tasting menu and we opted to add the lobster as an additional course. And we both had the wine pairing to go with the tasting menu as well. We were welcomed by their staff and throughout the staff were perfect. And I would like to say our waiter, which was Dimitar, was amazing and friendly. Recommended!
Such a good restaurant the food is amazing and we really loved every dish. Definitely go to this amazing restaurant. Beside the amazing food don’t expect a lovely ambiance because to us it felt very stiff, no background music and the decoration/furniture should be a bit more modern if you ask me. But the food compensate this completely because it is so so good.
Beautiful decor! Amazing food!! Everything was perfectly seasoned. The staff are more than welcoming, wonderful service and warm atmosphere. I would definitely come again and I recommend it! Wonderful experience.
Highly recommend Ormer Mayfair Restaurant. We have recently moved to the area and were very impressed. Big portions, delicious food, and great hosts. It has a very traditional family style ambience and we will definitely be visiting again
We went to Ormer for lunch yesterday for my sons birthday. The food was excellent and the service was impressive. The waitress that served us was super lively and as I need to rush back to work, the smartly suited friendly waiter was so kind to box up our Petit Fours. All the staff were brilliant! The food and service were Michelin Star , the price wasnt.
Staff were very friendly and food was delicious. Great deal for a 3 course meal with pairing wine and coffee!
This is a consistently underrated restaurant in Mayfair. Such a beautiful room and really lovely food - interesting but not wacky and always tasty. The caramel and apple dessert they often have is fabulous. Set menu is exceptional value and the wines start in the £30s which is rare for the area. While the staff are absolutely charming and enthusiastic, unfortunately they do visit your table a hundred times during the meal. And this is only a slight exaggeration. If the service could stay friendly but be less intrusive it would be an even better experience.
My husband and I enjoyed a magnificent tasting menu experience on Saturday night. We added the optional Prestige wine pairing option and although it was expensive, it was sensational!Every single dish was light, complex and a unique blend of flavours. The paired wines heightened each dish. Particular stand out dishes were the ceviche, the lobster ravioli and the deconstructed carrot cake. The waiting staff and sommelier were attentive and informative with feeling too fussy or formal. As its a restaurant in Mayfair, the price is ofcourse what you might expect from a Mayfair restaurant but the quality of the experience more than justify the price.
Overall a great restaurant; food , service; ambiance and value for money .
I was expecting something good but this exceeded my expectations. I knew it was supposed to be like that as a Michelin Star, but not only the food was amazing but the staff too. Really friendly and we had all the explanations of how to it our food. Highly recommended
Value 3 course meal at just £31++. Nice setting, great service and attention to detail
I’ve decided to visit Ormer knowing that they have a great head chef and they also recently won award as the best luxury restaurant in London. They did not disappoint. The service was on top, I felt very well looked after from the moment I’ve arrived. The food was simply delicious, the flavours and presentation was immaculate. I can not wait to come back. Oh and I loved the live music. They do think about every detail.
The food was delicious. The service was amazing and the ambiance was warm and welcoming..
Great British cuisine with a twist and excellent hospitality by the wait staff 😊 the roasted quail, venison, lobster ravioli and desserts were absolutely delicious
We had the set menu in the evening, it was good value, food was very tasty and the presentation of dishes are creativity and pretty. We had a very good time there. We would definitely go back and try their tasting menu.
Had a great time. Food was great and service friendly and efficient.
Great food, great service...what more could you want??!
I visited Ormer Mayfair last week during a trip to London. Well worth trying if you are into tasting menus.
Great food, with a great big price tag. The good was all very tasty, but to be honest, not up to the level of, say, Raymond Blanc. The atmosphere was very "Mayfair". Slightly stuffy and old money...
Good atmosphere, attentive staff, tasty food and a great vegetarian menu.
Great experience from beginning to end. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Well executed and cooked dishes. Highly recommended especially for a special occasion.
Selected the £35 three-course menu suggested by the opentable website. All in all is an interesting experience. Not many appealing choices on the menu so me and my friend pretty much chose the same dish. First course: smoked eel was lovely scaled and although the smoke covered the taste of the eel, the entire dish is refreshing. Second course was a mushroom risotto with Parmesan cheese bubbles. Creamy, not overly seasoned, and the truffle was a nice touch. The dessert was a surprise though: dill sorbet and tarragon freddo. My friend refused to take the second bite due to the bitterness but I find it okay. It’s not like you can find dill and tarragon dessert everywhere. I handed her my pear soufflé instead and that’s lovely, although the berries and cakes on the side didn’t compliment it very well. Services were great and staff was friendly though. And the environment was classy.
Lunch was small, my main course was cod, and my friend ordered venison. The cod was really small, the taste was just right, nothing special. Venison was delicious. The service was brilliant.
It was our honey moon they brought us some lovely desert on the house were super friendly and food was amazing would definitely return again soon!
Absolutely fantastic dining experience. Very professional service throughout and greetings since we arrived at the venue. We had the three course festival menu and every dish was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Great value for money. Highly recommended.
This place is simply divine. The scallop for starter, the plaice, the pork belly for mains, the guava sorbet, the chocolate brownie for dessert are all impeccable. If the bread and butter were warm, then it would be absolutely perfect experience. Also, the service was really nice and friendly, and atmosphere was really casual and enjoyable. We had a 3 course meal with a glass of champagne for £37.5 . Definitely will come back for more surprise and recommend to friends who enjoy great food.
My friend and I had a three course meal and some wine. The service is brilliant, very sociable and professional staff. I LOVED my starter, tomato salad, the best I’ve ever had. I’m vegetarian, they have a separate menu for V people, which is great, having all these options!!! The main is a bit of a bummer, gnocchi..not a big fan of it. We had Merlot and Pinot Noir, both are very lovely..
Excellent services plus great tasting foods. Beautiful presentations. Great value to have lunches here.
Pay attention to details, top table services ! Quite dinning environment, good for business dinner
Fab service, incredible food, great 3 course lunch menu that changes every 3 weeks. We are SO coming back here
The food was stellar. The venison with chocolate tortellini and coffee soufflés were highlights. The service was also impeccable. For example, one of our diners had to step out whilst food was being served, and the waiter provided a cloche to keep her food warm.I would definitely eat here again.
The three course set menu is great value. Very good food and well presented.
One of the best lunches we had. Impeccable service and lovely dishes, full of flavours and textures! Highly recommend!
Beautiful and tasty food. Great friendly service. Quite expensive but worth a try.
Stunning food and superb service. A beautiful restaurant in May Fair. Its a bit pricey at around £45 each but its worth it. Go for a treat and order the beautiful Dover sole.
A VERY FINE START...We ate here in the 3rd week of its soft launch. The first thing you notice is the design of the restaurant. Its classic British styling, time and care has been taken in both design and materials. It feels opulent without being pretentious. Reminded me of the Atlantic Bars heyday. The service, as youd expect, was on the nose. Staff were quick to replenish water and check everything was ok, without ever feeling too intrusive. The food all looked great and tasted even better.Time was spent with every mouthful, my guest and I spending long moments not talking and simply enjoying the food. A greater compliment cannot be offered good cooking. The prices are high but by no means exorbitant.A very decent bottle of Mabis Prosecco coming in at £35 (starters around £15 Mains around £30 and Deserts around £12the amuse bouche and petit fours seemingly complimentary.
