The food tho…I should have listened to a previous review that cautioned against the salty food, but damn. The food (fried sampler platter and Brussels sproutswas inedible because of the tremendous amount of salt. Drink and be merry, eat at your own risk

Great vibes and great service on a Saturday evening! Drinks were good, deserve 4 stars. Games were so fun and a great touch. Food was rough 🥲 Our table got the brussel sprouts and the platter, all unbelievably salty, couldn’t even finish. Fried pickles were just chucks of pickle with flavorless coating. Would absolutely come back for a drink, but grab food elsewhere.

My heart and stomach are so full from the first celiac-safe (gluten-freewings and BLT I’ve had in ten years. ❤️❤️❤️ SO DELICIOUS! Great service and a very amenable menu for whatever your dietary concerns may be. Thank you a thousand times to the people behind this restaurant for making it so Celiac-friendly and tasty.

Husband ordered a 13 which was an IPA. Instead, bartender poured him a cider. Had to go back and ask for desired pour and were handed a can - totally fine.Ended up keeping both ciders and the can and paying for all three - again, not a problem.The issue came with the sass from the bartender after our patience. Acted like he didnt need to deal with us and I dont have time for that.

This is one of my favorite places to stop by for a quick drink or even play a board game. I love the atmosphere and the ciders are delicious! We did get the food one time and it was just okay, we wouldnt recommend. The ciders and vibe are enough to keep us coming back for more, though.

The cider tastes fine but using Native American head dress and branding is cultural appropriation. You really should not be profiting off of that and it’s completely unnecessary

I don’t know if we just went on an off night but the food took almost an hour. We got the happy hour items and the chicken sandwich. Everything was quite salty.

Nice ciders. Didn’t try the food. Loved the bartender, she was fantastic.They have a dart board (it’s kinda old so the darts don’t stick well in the middleand lots of board games.Great atmosphere

I really want to give this place a good review, but I just cant. I had to leave early because my wife and I both felt like the server didnt want us (or him?to be there. The food was ok, but super oily, and the cider was tasty, but not carbonated enough. Perhaps the issue is that we got there at opening, but that was at 2:00.

I have been coming here ever since they opened, and it’s one of my favorite places. Drinks are excellent, even having options for my sober roommate which was always nice. Food is also really delish, I always take my celiac friend here when she visits because they take her allergy very seriously and she raves about the chicken sandwich. Fun games, great vibes, and wonderful staff!

This place is fantastic! The ciders are all delicious, and we bought more to take home. My favorite was the Atacama Rosé Cyser, which had such a wonderful floral aroma and the nice flavor of the raspberries. The selection of boardgames, something we were not expecting, is PaxUnplugged level awesome, and I will be stealing my friends to come here, have ciders and hang out.

Very chill atmosphere, a great place to relax and get a drink or a bite to eat without a reservation. You need to try it if you are gluten free!

Hate being that guy, but the staff was rude enough a few days ago that we bailed and went elsewhere.Outdoor seating was full, so my group of three walked in. I forgot to put my mask on, was reminded, and I quickly complied – thats on me!There was a single two-top free, and next to it was a half seated table with a few extra chairs. I asked the folks sitting there, and they said I was welcome to take a chair. As soon as I picked it up, I was immediately barked at by the same bartender for moving chairs, so we left.Although density limits were lifted in the city prior to this, I can appreciate if this place wants to be more conservative, but they should enforce capacity limits at the door, better coordinate seating, or at the very least, put up clear signage.Ill probably give it another go when things chill out a bit

I would like to give more stars, but the group of 4 of us didn’t get to spend more than 5 minutes. I came back from the bathroom and my group still hadn’t been approached or told anything. There was like 4 other people, in total in this entire place total. I forgot to put my mask on to walk 10 feet to grab a game. Instead of saying like “next time remember to wear your Mask” they made a very rude remark. We continued to sit there with no service or nothing told to us for about 3-5 minutes until we decided to leave. It seems like they don’t care if they get any people through the door, and if they do they have no interest of doing their jobs. I would recommend hiring people who want to keep your business going.

Nice place, good food and a great variety of ciders. Some sweet, some dry, some crazy flavors. Definitely worth a try. The guy Clint who makes the ciders is fun and knows what he is doing.

I consider myself one of Philadephias top cider enthusiasts, and while theres undoubtedly some competition for that crown, I think any of us in the ranking would have to tip our hats to Original XIII Ciderworks. Philadelphia is blessed to have a handful of cider producers that all have different strengths and quirks, but when it comes to full on drinkability for the price point, Sir Charles is where I turn. The staff is nothing short of friendly and excellent, which is kind of an industry standard in cider these days, but where Original XIII sets itself apart is the product. The cider, beers, cocktails, and food menu are all top notch, and come at a price that cant be called unfair, particularly in the city of Philadelphia. If you want a taste of Philadelphia and only have a day, you could do worse than to spend part of it with John, Jon, and Maggie at Original XIII.

Great ciders and a fun atmosphere. John the bartender is amazing and always has good recommendations. Cannot wait until the inside opens again so we can spend time playing boards!

Ive been here twice and the drinks are always solid and they have a game wall with board games to play. My only issue is that the place is small and gets loud when a lot of parties come in. But the food and drink are great so if youre okay with noise or you can come at an off time Id definitely come here.

This place should be more crowded than it is. Cider is awesome, and the drink selection is surprisingly diverse. The food menu has a good amount of options, and its also vegetarian friendly and tasty. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Definitely a must-visit in the northern liberties/fishtown area if you want to check out local places

Super nice staff who are helpful with any dietary needs. Great place if you have celiac or food allergies. Also theyre always making new ciders so in addition to the classic ciders you never know what new seasonal flavor might be on tap. This is one of the best spots in Philly. The food is great and the service is great too.

Great place. Loved the food, the lobster mac n cheese was great. The food was so good I went a second time and enjoyed a burger. Yes, nice place, good people, fun with the board games. Id recommend. I dont drink so I cant review the hard cider but ALL my friends agreed it was great.

Excellent in all regards. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the food/ drink was fantastic. I got the tip 6 flight and while they were all great, the strawberry and pumpkin ciders were my standouts. I also had the cranberry mead, which was great.

Fun and inviting space. Dogs are welcome on the outside tables! But on to the good stuff: booze and food! The cider was solid, above par. The prices were reasonable and had a decent selection. The perogies were on point drizzled with paprika oil and amazing fried onions. The best part of the visit was discovering the BEST hot wing/blue cheese pairing in Philly! To be fair I still have more exploring and tasting to complete, but so far, this is what I will be comparing everything else in Philly to. The wings were plump, juicy, yet still crispy. Not breaded (as wing should be!and the hot sauce had depth. It had a true heat to it while still leaving room for flavor, even a slight sweet ting that I couldn’t put my finger on. But, no wing is complete with out a top-notch blue cheese to dip into. I suggest ordering an extra off bat because it is that delicious. Creamy without being watered down and full of blue cheese flavor without relying on large chunks. I cannot wait to go back!

Happy Hour from 4-8pm in Monday’s with $4 pints of cider. GF and vegan options are plentiful. They have GF burger buns (not listed on menuand they are delicious. Tons of analog games to choose from and play while you wait/hang. We had the burger and Carolina wings and each were great. Menus attached.

All of the ciders are great - we planned for this to be our first stop of three Cider places in Philly - then our server Sean totally hooked us in with his recommendations! We ended up sitting outside at a table for 5 hours, then buying growlers to bring home and drink more. We couldn’t get enough!Sean introduced us to a cool way to mix up the ciders by ordering a half dry/half sweet (Strawberry or Blueberry). We loved it so much, we stayed to keep trying all of the combinations. Sean is THE BEST SERVER and made our night! He was attentive, super friendly and passionate - every recommendation he gave us was spot on from the cider to the food (tacos and nachos with cauli). We will definitely be back soon!

Last night I went to grab a bite to eat and a drink with my brother after having a nice time at New Liberty Distillery. We ordered the wings and the pierogies. The wings were soggy and not cooked all the way, pink inside. My brother told the bartender (black hair, short bangs, femalethat we will still pay but the wings were really not good and not fully cooked. She said they were cooked and proceeded to walk away from my brother mid sentence with an attitude. She came back with the check , had removed the wings charge but just dropped the pen in front of my brother, no eye contact, said nothing, serious face, she was clearly bothered. Food was not good but the service was even worse. Worse part is that Ive been there before and had a good experience. However, the bartender there last night really should look into another career if she is going to be so rude to customers. I will not be going there again. There are definitely other options in the neighborhood with much better service.

This place is awesome! ALL the ciders are great. Nothing too sweet. Real, wellBalanced, and delicious. The food is on point! The bartenders are super friendly. Games, darts, super clean! It’s one of our new favorite spots.

As tourists, we came here because it seemed they offered a little bit of local beer along with cider. We were pleasantly surprised by the food menu, the staff, and game options (classic video games and board games). The bartender (Emilywas spot on in every way, offering great recommendations for drinks/cocktails, as well as other places to visit. We came here thinking we would end up bar-hopping but ended up spending our entire night here and not mad about it at all.

This place was absolutely amazing. We were visiting from out of town, and finding a place with ciders is always on our list. I tried the flight and was sincerely impressed. Beyond that, I tried a few drink specials as suggested by the bartender Emily and was so pleased with what I got, product-wise and service-wise. Emily was amazing. She was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and funny. I would come back here every day if I lived closer. Ciders were great. Service was great. Thank you to Emily for making this place the highlight of our trip!

Awesome cider and selection--definitely come here for a drink (or several!Laid-back neighborhood bar complete with a thorough board game selection. However, food is a little pricey for what you get, and a second bartender on shift is needed most nights. Hold out for the slower service, its worth it

I enjoy their ciders compared to Commonwealth Ciders because they are sweet without going over the top; however, the Strawberry cider is the only one from which I stay away. There are meat and vegetarian options, the burger is comparable to St. Benjamins and the chili is done right with some heat to it. As another reviewer said, the six pack price of $12 is a great deal and they have an option to fill your growler up with any cider on tap.

Nice vibe, really personable waitstaff, and great cider. However, we ordered what looked like the most enticing thing on the menu, a coconut curry seafood stew thinking it would come out a sweet, milky, stew with lots of seafood in it. Instead, what we got looked like brown chum (ground up fish parts that are tossed into the water to attract fishand didnt taste much better. We had such high hopes for this place. We didnt send the food back, but we were honest with the waiter, who gave us some tokens to use for cider in the future, which was appreciated. Well likely go back for cider, but we probably wont eat there until the menu or chef changes.

Wonderful food and staff goes above and beyond. Can vouch for their brunch, happy hour, holiday events, and tap takeovers. And their cider is the best around, love their seasonals too. They have both dry and sweet varieties. Favorite right now is their pumpkin cider aged in rum barrels. Cant wait for their wings of cherry to come back in the spring!

Almost the entire dinner menu is gluten free so if thats what youre looking for, you can stop looking and make a decision. Super delicious :they also have vegetarian and a couple vegan options. We went for dinner, so not sure about the brunch options.

Great new cidery in the neighborhood! The ciders were all pretty good, with a good diversity in character and dryness/sweetness. They also serve local beer and cocktails, which makes it a good place for everyones tastes. We had some food items and they were all delicious, with gluten free and vegetarian items clearly labeled. Definitely would recommend this place.

Had the cider flight and it was a great intro.We liked the Original semi dry, the deep blueberry sea, the cranberry,and the blood orange. Fish tacos were decent bar food.This is a family-friendly place. Kudos to management for not only installing a changing table in the bathroom, but also labeling the bathroom that has the changing table. This I to customer service is what prompted me to give this place a 5-star review

A hidden gem. This is the best bar Ive been to in a long time. They have games - old school Mario kart anyone? Both beer and cider on tap. Always keeping things interesting. Definitely recommend.

My Girlfriend and I love this place, parking is easy and their cider is the best in the city. The food is good, however its priced a bit more than I would like to spend. If you like craft food and dry cider then this is the spot. They also have local beers too!

Delicious! Delightful! Generous portions and gigantic pours! The Valentines tasting menu paired excellently with house made ciders, I would have had another, but then they gave us a take home bottle!! Thank you so much for a wonderful evening!

The concept was nice - execution was ok. For the price, it was disappointing.The food offerings were all heavy - which didnt seem to pair well with the cider. The braised short rib was not bad - but was salty and there were no offsetting flavors in the dish. The pork belly was crispy on the outside but not quite right; the fat which should have melted was sticky and chewy. The red cabbage was good and cut the grease well, but there wasnt enough for the pork belly. Perogis were greasy and heavy, the caramelized onions also quite sodden. The mousse had great texture, but the flavor was a miss.Nothing was truly bad, but nothing was great. The flight of ciders was ok - but nothing creative. If you liked one you would like them all; you wont love any of them.Service was ok but a bit slow or unprofessional at times. We ran out of water and were never offered a refill. Again, not bad, but not quite good. And certainly not great. The kicker which moves this from a 3-star experience was the final bill. A flight of 6 pours of 5 oz, two entrees and one side (this was just about the right volume of food for 2 though the server initially suggest anotherwith one shared dessert rounded out to $75 before tip.Applebees is better food and better service for half the price.
