Origin Coffee Roasters in Wakema
Description
Privilege
Hipsterish fancy food and coffee. Not Starbucks. Not cheap.
Super expensive coffee doesnt always mean good. The place itself os vibrant and busy. I didnt try the food as was discouraged by the prices. Im usually a fan of origin, but for some reason, the coffee in this visit wasnt anything memorable
MoreBest coffee shop in the area good options prepped with care, food choices look tasty
MoreThe hidden little gem in London, amongst all the Nero, Starbucks, and Costas. Delicious espresso drinks, great ambience and atmosphere, friendly service, and super modern.
MoreOne of the best cappuccino’s around! What a hidden gem.Update: came for lunch. Hearty portions! Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff.
MoreBest Matcha (OatLatte I have ever had, smooth and creamy, with the perfect balance between the grassy, bitter notes of the matcha and the mild sweetness of the oat milk. The burger bun with mushrooms, rocket and mayo was also delicious, and the staff are friendly and welcoming.Plenty of space to sit, large windows for a bright environment, beautifully designed with great care for details. The perfect space for working on your projects, focussing, relaxing, catching up friends.I’ll be back! :)
MoreOrdered a chai latte but the chai latte is 1.more milk and spice than it is tea and the sweeter flavours of chai, 2. Lukewarm. I asked for some more of the chai powder and the barista was reluctant.
MoreGood coffee. I didn’t try the food or pastries but certainly looked good!
This place is amazing. Let me please explain…! The coffee is second to none. Great quality with a roasters in the back; having worked in several coffee shops, this is perhaps my fav coffee shop to visit. Now the food; my goodness. The chef is incredible; her food is just fantastic, there’s no other way to put it. Great flavours and her portion sizes are massive so make sure you go hungry.
MoreFantastic coffee shop (like all the origin shops). Really good coffee prepared with care. We also went for a cupping event one evening. It was nice and informative but a little rushed and disorganised. Still it was free and the coffee was damn good
MoreThe best Cortado I ever had! I had a sip (couldn’t help myself).
Best oat latte I tried! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is very cosy. Thanks!
MoreOne of my new favourite coffee shops in London. Great coffee, awesome space and delicious avocado toast and brunch. Will be back
MoreFantastic coffee, well presented and extremely tasty food. Welcoming staff, really enjoyed my visit.
MoreExcellent coffee, delicious breakfast. Great service, thank you!
first time to visit there, ordered oat latte, not bad. the barista has good skill of latte art as well. noticed they regularly launch cupping activities. hope i can join later.
MoreOne of the best speciality coffee I had in London so far. They dont do blended coffee and have two different single origin options.
MoreGreat cold brew, seating & service.
Single handedly the best coffee shop Ive ever been too. The best coffee, food and service Ive ever experienced. Do yourself a favour and visit immediately.
MoreAmazing coffee, fresh tasty food and very good vibe!
We were only in London for a few days but we ended up coming back here 3 times because we loved it so much! The ambiance is amazing--perfect to sit down and read/do some work or chat with a friend. I consistently got their matcha latte with oat milk which doesnt come with sweetener (which I likeand is pretty good! You can tell from the color of the matcha and the flavor that it is probably at least latte grade. Another plus is that they dont fill the entire cup with ice like they do in the states! A solid 2 cubes of ice did the job of keeping the drink cold and giving me plenty of delicious matcha to drink. I also tried their almond croissant, which was so amazingly buttery, flakey, and nutty. I just know that if I ever moved to London this would no doubt be my go to coffee shop!
MoreExquisite - I wish I could give 10/5! 🤩
BEST MATCHA IVE EVER HAD!!! Wonderful vibe and presentation from this place. Kind employees and energizing drinks… will be returning on my next trip to London 🔥🔥🔥🍵 amazing breakfast sandwiches too. Nothing but fire from Origin.
MoreHigh quality, amazing coffee. Great baristas and an even more bomb playlist. We ordered the regular iced latte and an iced matcha and both were great. Super cozy vibes for studying and working too!
MoreLovely tasting coffee, beautifully served and they have a great space in the arches. Only feedback is that the temperature of the milk was too low. I know it’s not meant to be hot but this was barely warm.Would like to try the coffee courses they run here
MoreNot many of these about so if you see an Origin Coffee place, dont walk by!
What a stunning coffee, place and people. I love coffee and I recommend this place.
MoreTried a toast from the breakfast menu along with filter coffee. Absolutely one of the best cafes Ive ever visited. Excellent service and the premises and products were aesthetically pleasing.
MoreGreat cappuccino, quick service and a great space to chill and work. Lots of nice coffee and coffee equipment for sale too.
MoreIt’s a really great speciality Cafe in the area 👌🏻
Really nice and cozy cafe. Quiet spot with friendly staff. Ordered an avocado toast, scrambled eggs and coffees – everything is lovely.
MoreAmazing coffee!! Really best coffee I’ve had in London. They have great equipment and they know how to use it. Along with delicious beans.
MoreNice coffee, nice food, nice staff. Stylish interior. A great place to work. They have free WiFi and plugs. Definitely coming back.
MoreNice soft coffee. Great vibe and plenty of space to sit and work or have brunch. Only one size of cups, unfortunately, which works well for coffee but is a bit disappointing if you are having tea. Go elsewhere if you’re looking for tea
MoreGreat place as it’s spacious and the staff are friendly. The coffee is very good but it’s pricey, which makes coming a treat as opposed to a regular occurrence
MoreVery impressed with this place. The coffee is great and they have a good selection of tea as well. Love the space and service is very nice but not overly friendly wich I appreciate. I took off one star because of the price of the food. I dont think £10 for a piece of sourdough toast with avocado is justified even if its fresh ingredients and nicely flavoured. As its a lunch menu I would expect bigger portion. Paid £36 for two of us and still felt hungry.
MoreQuickly becoming one of my favorite cafes. Located in a quiet street in southwark, it’s a gorgeous place for catching up with friends, or to work in. Delightful and heart warming selection of beverages. They also have a breakfast/lunch menu available on weekdays.
MoreThis place not only has a lovely vibe and friendly staff but the drinks are superb. I’ve tried the iced coffee and it was super flavoursome and not at all what I was expecting but definitely something I’d recommend. The matcha latte is also one of my favourites.
MoreCoffee was great!!Nice place to read, work, chat with friends…
Amazing experience with great coffee and the staff is so professional and smiley ☺ 👌They deserve bonus in every serve.Well done ⭐❤
MoreWe went there on a Saturday Afternoon and it was full! We had to wait for about half an hour for a table for 4 to get available but after getting the food we felt it really worth it!It became my number one brunch spot in London! The tastes are exceptionally good and the sauces they make are really clever blends! The portion is huge so it worths the price! Loved it!
MoreAmazing coffee (and chai), lovely place, original and tasty food. The butternut squash toast (a lot of butternut squash, not too much toastwas delightfully spiced and its (in my opinionsomething original and different if you are trying to step out of the traditional brunch dishes (in general the food menu looks unconventional in the good sense). We also got a croissant pudding that was surprisingly good, sweet and mellow but not heavy (which is something I was expecting).
MoreThe ever changing coffee menu here is superb, the staff consistently go above and beyond, and the brunch is amongst the best in London. Love to have it as my local.
MoreGreat coffee and food. Relaxed atmosphere. They were 30 mins late opening the shop on the day of our visit and offered us free coffee since we waited patiently for them to open.
MoreOne of the best cafes in London. Relaxed, comfortable ambience, friendly passionate staff and beautiful food. I had the poached eggs and tomatoes on sourdough and switched the prosciutto for salmon. Perfectly cooked creamy eggs, salmon is smoked in London and everything tasted fresh and flavours worked well together. Of course it is started by Australians who I think do the best brunch in the world. Im Australian of course. Highly recommend this place tucked away across the road from Southwark station.
MoreLovely coffee and a great place to have brunch, although a little on the expensive side considering the small food portions
MoreGreat spot for coffee, carefully poured and of a high quality. Some tasty food too, all in a very aesthetically pleasing building.
MoreSearched for a local coffee roasters and stumbled upon Origin. Friendly staff with unique food options and coffee drinks made with a massive attention to detail.
MoreGreat (I mean very greatcoffee and an excellent Antipodean-like brunch menu: the miso mushrooms and eggs and tahini maple cured bacon were both hits. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and great atmosphere. I would highly recommend this spot.
MoreVibrant coffee shop with a fresh & well designed look under the arches just a minute away from Southwark station. I love the array of mod bars (4 in a rowclearly catering for a busy rush at some point. There is a kitchen here with full lunch /brunch options. Food seems good here - I only tried the cakes which was excellent. Coffee is supposedly very good here. I had a batch brew which was just right (Colombian). There is a 20p discount for bringing your own cup which is a nice touch. Will certainly be back for more when in the area.
