This conservative hotel is a 2-minute walk from the nearest metro station, 9 km from Ōhori Park and 10 km from Fukuoka Tower. The streamlined rooms feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minifridges, teamaking facilities and wet rooms. Some rooms have pull-out sofas; suites add living areas.Amenities include 2 informal restaurants, a relaxed lounge and an intimate cocktail bar.
We stayed here during our honeymoon. The hotel is very convenient to the train station. The room is comfortable and well designed with plenty of amenities and thoughtful items. Breakfast was wonderful, with a large variety of food. Food included Japanese dishes and American food such as slider burgers and chicken nuggets. There was plenty of juice, including orange juice and melon juice. Overall, a great place!
Room was fully amenities as we need. Personally I Love the breakfast. Very variety an delicious.
Comfortable previous business stay, morning buffet is excellent worthy to pay🤘😎
The location is perfect and you can connect to the stations without getting wet on a rainy day. The room and services are fair.I like their "just drop the key card into the box and go" practice when you check out without any outstanding charge.
Very satisfied with the facilities, room service and quality. My family was so happy to spend a night here.
Very nice hotel at a great price. Right at the train station. Plenty of restaurants, store, ect next door. Also modern feel ro the rooms. Very clean and new. The room was larger then the typical Japanese hotel. But most importantly the bed and pillows were soft and comfortable.
Hotel was nice but water pressure in shower was terrible. Will not stay there again
We loved the room with the balcony. The executive garden was wonderful, but wish the hours were longer. The service was 5 star, I was a silver rewards member and received a gift on arrival. I do wish the restaurant was open later
I was on business for three nights and stayed in Oriental Hote in Hukuoka. However, there are some problems and I would like to mention them..The main problem that I felt was that all receptionists didnt wear a mask. (they just wore a transparent facial shield.)with Covid-19, people all around the world are concerned about sanitation more but It seemed that this hotel was not.I insist that all staff including receptionists be wearing a masks not athin facial shield. It doesnt work at all...The staff responsible for this matter should recognize this critical issues, which is why this covid-19 is contagious.Thank you
Crashed here for a night. It was fine. A standard Japanese business hotel. Brought my pups. Don’t tell anyone...
Super near to the Hakata station, lots of restaurants and convenient shores downstairs. Hotel is clean and tidy and very satisfying. The staffs are nice and helpful. Hightly recommended.
Very clean and modern hotel. Walking distance from most things and right next to Hakata Station. Close to many many awesome restaurants. 24 hour gym. Little pricey hotel but I would come again. Also good breakfast buffet.
The design of the hotel is very good and detail. Room is very clean and cozy. I will give 100 scores for the location, service, and hygiene. The hotel is just next to the Hakata station, take less than 1 minute walk
Awesome hotel. The hotel is very modern and it is right in front of Hakata Station. Our triple room had lots of charging ports. Rooms were also very clean and well-maintained. You can get free drinks on the 5th floor next to the entrance of the garden. I highly recommend staying here, as the rooms are of great value and it is very convenient.
Vvvvgood location just next to hakata station the biggest station in FukuokaNew clean not too small room nice staffs perfect place to stay
The staff are SO helpful and the hotel is very clean. Great location and the rooms are nice and quiet.
Comfortable and modern business hotel - decent sized gym and amenities were all updated. Good value for money though rooms are a bit tight. Stayed in a double room (double bedwith 2 pax and didnt have enough space to open our 2 pieces of luggage. Room was clean and bed was comfortable so overall it was a good experience. Service was as you would expect and they offer free 4 hour parking onsite. Overnight parking is ¥2,000. Solid 4.5 stars.
Very clean and close to Hakata Station. Comfortable beds and big shower area.
Pros: Right next to the train station and subway system; 3 washer/dryers onsite and available 24/7 for use; gym open 24/7; clean, modern rooms; large lounge and library area to use since the rooms dont have a space to sit and read or talk. Cons: Very noisy - you can hear almost everything in the hallways, front desk staff spoke almost no English and couldnt help us figure out a taxi to the airport for an early flight, which was distressing. Having an FAQ sheet in English might be a good idea.
Its a new hotel near the Hakata station. There is no oriental atmosphere, is just modern design with workable system. They have a nice organic cafe for your breakfast
Checked out the Hotel this morning. Now resting ai airport lounge. Cant wait to leave a comment to our appreciation. We stayed 7 nights here. Very pleasant stay. Staff are cheerful and helpful. If I have to suggest improvement, it would be the breakfast buffet. Very basic, dont expect many choices. However, the buffet bar will be closed at 9:30 am and restaurant will be closed at 10 am, its a bit too early in our opnion.
Great location, it’s just outside the Chikushi exit at the Hakata train station. Clean, updated rooms. Spacious, clean gym with free weights, a weight machine and barbell machine, 2 treadmills and a bike. There are also a few mats and decent floor space so you easily do floor exercises too. There is complementary coffee (machineand water on the 5 Th floor. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again when I’m next here.
Rooms small but clean.Nice breakfast and friendly staff.Expensive for what it offers.
This hotel is right by the entrance to the Hakata station. Right out of the shinkansen station. The room is clean, bathroom is a standard tile bathroom with bathtub, not those typical plastic modular all in one Japanese Hotel bathroom.Due to the size of the room, the washing basin is awkwardly placed outside of the bathroom. There is no covered wardrobe too.But there are sufficient walkway in the room. Very comfortable bed, large TV.Breakfast at the basement is fine, not what I am used to. It is sufficient to kick start the day.The main selling point is the location of the hotel. From the basement, it is linked to the Subway which will take you to the airport or other places.
A new hotel located at the excellent location, just next to the JR Hakata station. There is a spacious gym room. 1 bar & cafe and 1 restaurant. An outdoor garden that the hotel guest can use.
The hotel has recently been rebranded and renovated - it’s now Oriental Hotel Fukuoka, not Hotel Centraza - so many of the reviews on Google are outdated. I’m local to the area, but I stayed here for one night as I needed to be close to Hakata station. The location is perfect if you need to get to the station quickly - it’s literally right next to the station, with an entrance into the subway straight from the hotel elevator. Staff were very polite and helpful with the check-in process.I stayed in a standard room, and it was very clean and comfortable. I had a good night’s rest! The only downsides to the room were that it might feel a little small for two people (but I was by myself so it was fine). Many hotels in Hakata have small rooms, anyway. Secondly, the room smelled a little like paint - but I think this was because it has been very recently renovated, and it wasn’t very strong. On the 5th floor there is a fitness suite, and a rooftop executive lounge with a pool. Unfortunately it was raining during my stay, so I couldn’t go outside.Overall, I had a great experience and I would definitely recommend staying here!
The hotel has been renamed to Oriental Hotel Fukuoka. The hotel seems to have been newly renovated. The first room was slightly small, but then again most hotel rooms in Japan are. We asked for upgrade and the second room was spacious. Both rooms are clean, bathrooms are clean. Staff were friendly. Close to Hakata station.
Good location with easy access to and from Hakata Station. Rooms is clean and looks newly renovated. Nice and comfy bed. Only lacking is that hand towels are not supplied in the room. Overall a goid choice to stay here.
Amazingly convenient location. Recently refurbished so everything is really new and clean. The rooms are really small but so wonderfully designed that it feels more cosy and efficient than cramped. 👍
Its now named Hotel Oriental Hakata Station. Its really just 1 minutes walk from the entrance if Chikushi Exit, Hakata Train Station. Location really superb.
Location dominant everything. Recommend booking a bigger size room. If staff adding some smiles probably feeling better.
10may2019Newly renovated New name New design New coffee corner and Old location😅 friendly professional service, Room is comfort and clean, a typical Japanese sizeOriental Hotel Fukuoka is 👍👍👍
I stayed for 4 days, the first 2 were great! When we came back on the third day, the trash we left in the morning was still there. We complained to room service. If you want to go there, be sure to put the “Please Clean Up the Room” sign up, if you want your room to be cleaned.
The hotel lobby is on the second floor and very beautiful. However, the rooms are very small. At first I had one double bed for me and my niece. So I went downstairs to the front desk and asked for two beds. They were able to accommodate me with two double beds but I had to pay additional for they two nights. It was my fault for not checking on the bedding when I first booked my room. My room is now larger too! Big plus...they speak English!
The location of this hotel is amazing but thats about all there I can say thats positive. The staff were a little rude at tinti and werent always the most helpful. WiFi in some parts of the room were god awful and/or straight up didnt work. When it DID work, it was super slow and the connection kept dropping after a minute or two of use.
I dont think its a 4 star hotel. Great location but do not expect anything else. One of the rooms that I reserved had really bad sewer odor and they really didnt do much to fix it which made the entire stay unpleasant.
I went there with my friends for ceremony of blockchain fuclty. The hotel dinner is good for ceremony because of facilities. Forexample , vacant room space , delicious cookings , atmosphere , etc . I was very sufficient.
Just above the station. Easy to find. Usual smallish Japanese hotel room. The booking sites tell you 2 Adults, 2 kids OK for a double room. But of course its not! We finally asked to pay more and we got room 2902. Which was awesome for our family with 2 young kids. Large sitting room, dry and wet toilet and 2 real Queen beds.
It is OVER-rated. It should be a low level 3 stars hotel.Blanket sheets and floor carpet had old dirt. Mold at the bathroom ceiling.I stayed here on early April 2018, but the air conditioner was already weak that they offered electric fan to make it just ok.On first night the hand soap was out of order and the second night they failed to notice and I had to call room service to change. But after one night it was out of order again and they still fill to notice.I stayed at a number of 3 star hotels in japan and some other countries but this one is the worst condition ...On the other hand, location of this hotel is very convenient. Would be good choice of it can lower the price to match the condition.
Next to station, very convenient. The room is old and full of smoking smell.U can have better choice of same room price
Room is big compare with other hotels. Hotel is next to subway station. Has a English speaker at front desk
Besides location everything is terrible. Room smell like sewage, cleanliness is hideous (paid for "renovated" room already, mould in bathroom, paid for breakfast but said only included for adults and kids have to pay extra even though it was what we booked. Staff especially at breakfast is very rude, cutlery not clean. Never ever will I come back again, most terrible hotel Ive ever stayed in.
Room was very clean and hotel was in a very convinent location (right beside/part of the Hakata station). Three guests stayed in the room. The third bed was built on top of a sofa and was not very comfortable. It was also very short and narrow. The third bed made the small room even smaller. Washroom had large bottles of face/hand wash and shampoo and conditioner which was nice. However, there was mold in various locations of the washroom. Overall a decent hotel if you are only planning for a short stay.
Good location near Hakata station, bus, can find food court around here. Good service.
Every possible positivity I can think of for the convenience of the location. The hotel is quite aged and bed cover would require some renewing. Carpet needs a replacement but by all means this is value for money for tourists who want to get around places. The distance from hotel to station and the food within the station basically covered up for all the flaws within the facilities. Also compared to some Japanese rooms thats around 9-10m square. This hotel offers up to 19-21m square rooms for abit more comfort. Without much higher price.
The location is super handy to the main train station but our room was definitely in need of a deep clean or renovation. Carpet and chair were particularly bad. The outdoor pool area looked like it had been abandoned and was clearly not in use, despite it being the height of summer. Pity.
The sheet cover was stained, the staff was not very friendly, and most amenities that were provided werent very good. The breakfast was surprisingly good though.
Requested a smoking room however the room still had an overpowering lingering cigarette smell. In fact the entire hotel from the lobby to the elevator and hallways smells of old smoke. Rooms lack soundproofing so the noise from other guests late at night and early in the morning disturb sleep. Close to the station is the only positive.
Decent size room for Japanese hotel. Breakfast buffet was very good and location to train station makes it a good location.
First off the location was very good for tourist. It is located right beside the hakata train station. It has the trains shinkansen or limited express trains to go to other cities. The hotel is nice and clean, the size of the rooms are quite good for a Japanese hotel. The bed is comfy as well. The price is also decent considering the cost of hotels in Japan.
