Organi Chiado - Vegan restaurant in Belas, Portugal
Best vegan restaurant Ive ever visit. Everything is super delicious and hearty. Some dishes in menu are changing every day so its interesting to visit the restaurant very often.
Daily changing menu. I had the pumpkin dish. It was really delicious and way more filling than it looked. The vegan cheese appetizer was a little bit too nutty for my tastes but the caprese’s vegan mozzarella was delicious. Pecan pie and chocolate cake were amazing!! Giving 4 instead of 5 because my non-vegan friends unfortunately didn’t love the tastes and because the sangria was a bit more expensive than expected.
service was superb and food was divine. especially recommend the lentil curry! special shoutout to Jerman our server for excellent energy and attention to all tables.
Wow ok going abroad I really struggled finding vegan restaurants, it was so good to see Lisbon accommodating.Organi Chiado is A MUST go to restauranT. The food from starters, mains, drinks to desert it was 5*.
I’m becoming a regular here ☺️ amazing food, super healthy and fresh. Very friendly and nice staff. A quinoa salad is a must try. Huge portions and lots of care in every single bite. Vegan mango lassi is great too ☺️
Yummmm! After spending last night wandering the streets trying to find veg friendly food and failing, I did a quick search and found this place and am so glad I did. They have a great range of options, all fresh and delicious, service was prompt and I left full and content. I had both the penne and the sweet rice pudding and both were so good!
Love this place! Lovely vegan restaurant in the city. Great for gluten-free options too. The food was amazing, the wine delicious and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
Best food Ive had in Lisbon in 2 days. Some of the food and presentation/cutlery seems inspired from Indian cuisines, which worked well for me. Cant go wrong if you feed basmati and lentils to an Indian. My Amex did not work during payment though.
My number one restaurant in Lisbon. The dishes arent just delicious, but well balanced too. And theres a nice space outside, near the entrance. Definitely a place to visit and revisit!
One of the best Vegan restaurants I have been! Food is delicious, location top and the service is very good.I checked some of the recent reviews and the only negative reviews came from non vegan people which criticized the kind of food.. 🤦♂️ to all Visitors: You are visiting a Vegan restaurant, dont think you should compare it to the 1 million fish restaurants in Lisbon, it wont meet your expectations.Anyways the restaurant is one of my favorites now!
Great fully vegan restaurant. I have come here twice in 2 days just to be able to try more mains. Their bean stew (Feijoadais really delicious. They have genuinely good vegan desserts which isnt just fruit salads - I had the chocolate cake.Overall absolutely immaculate food, reasonable prices and well presented.
Amazing! Ate here twice on my 2 day trip in Lisbon. The food is simple and tastes great. Not expensive. Nice patio on a quite street.
Firstly, to have a table on the terrace is the rule with first come, first served - totally fine with it!Secondly, the stuff is so nice, friendly, patient and with good English and they know how to make you feel welcomed.I am not vegan or vegetarian, I came for my friend that is, but I ordered the vegan burger and it was really good! It was the first time trying vegan food and I cannot imagine how good it can be for people who eat like this regularly. The food came really fast. Totally recommend it!
Friendly staff, good atmosphere and joyful food. Surely worthwhile when you are looking for vegetarian/vegan options in the city.
Big variety of vegan dishes from different countries. We had a Brasilian bean dish and Thai curry plus a soup. All very, very good. One of my favourite restaurants so far
Their beverages are so great, they don’t have added sugars and taste amazing!Everything we ordered was extremely delicious
The friendly staff and beautiful location of this restaurant caught my eye right away. The fact that it’s vegan and looked good attracted me to it. I went with my wife, and we started out with a salad, some sparkling lemonade, and the juice of the day (good surprise). The salad was on the cheesy side, but good, and made delicious with the addition of the well prepared tofu and crouton cubes. I was sold on this restaurant being a 5 star place after having finished the starter course. Our main dish, the Penne Rigate was amazing, I could not get enough! This is my favorite vegan restaurant in Lisbon now. I would recommend a visit! Try to maybe call and reserve a spot, It can get busy!
I would give this more stars if I could. Super fresh vegan food, stellar service and outdoor seating in the shade. Try the Pukka tea, it’s delightful. I had the mushroom risotto- YUM!
Turned up without a reservation at peak time and there were no free tables. The charming manager told us he would sort a table for us if we could wait 20-30 mins which we did. It was well worth the wait. The food was exceptional as was the service. Recommend the vegan cheese and pate. All the mains were spot on too. Great food and awesome value. A must try for vegans and non vegans alike.
This place is incredible!!So glad that googled brought this place into my life! The burger was so good.. the vegan mayo! Yum!!I’ll be back!Only complaint would be that the inside is VERY bright, I went there at 9pm and would have loved the lights to be a bit dimmer
Oh mama. The vegan restaurant that is also suitable for non vegans! Why? Because they do some magic with their spices, the texture and consistency of the dishes that it doesnt feel like a stereotypical bland vegan meal. All the ingredients are organic too, which is very rare to find. And needless to say that the service was super friendly too. Pro tip: try their 2 litre jug of sparkling sangria - you wont regret it and its great value for money.
Really very good. Also very expensive but definitely worth it. The food was delicious and the service friendly and attentive. Very busy. We had a reservation through Fork but not sure it really worked. However, as we were there right when they opened at 7PM we got a table outside in the alley. The inside is okay but outside is much more atmospheric. Highly recommended!
Had the spiritual tofu and chocolate cake. The tofu is one of the best entrees i have had in recent years. Tasty, filling and very pleasant to look at. The chocolate cake was decadent and satisfying, like a good dessert should be. Service was great. Recommend making a reservation if you can. I got turned away the first night i tried. Glad I gave it a go though.
Awesome restaurant! Probably one of the best vegetarian / vegan options in Lissabon. Super fresh and delicius food, friendly staff and fair prices! (42€, appetiser, main course, beer and a chocolate cake, all for 2 people ). I would definitely go there again. Make sure you arrive as soon as they open or make a reservation.
Such a nice vegan restaurant, maybe the best Ive been too. Lot of choices, the plates are big and consistent, staff is nice, the presentation is cute. Im not disappointed and will probably come back next time I go to Lisbon!
One of the best vegan restaurant I ever taste! How good is it - just look at the number of people waiting for a table!Fresh food, fresh fruits, high standard taste. Cant fault any!
The food is okay. The portions are bigger than typical Portuguese portions. The food is good but nothing special for the price you are paying. The bread basket for almost 5 euros was definitely not worth paying. The pates are small (even when ordering the large sizeand not that great. The penne pasta was good but again nothing special. The tofu spirit dish was the best of the lot.Would I recommend you go out of the way to find this place? No.Would I recommend you go inside if you happen to find yourself in this area and are looking for vegetarian food? Yes.
3 gluten-free options on the menu. Ask the waitress what’s gluten-free and they will help you. Super tasty, recommended. Went there multiple times 🌟
amazing food even for meat lovers. give it a tr, the quality and people that run it are amazing.cool location about outside of the noisy, hectic places.make a reservation if you have time
Such a great spot! Really nice servers and fantastic food. I especially enjoyed the chickpea curry — it made for a very full & flavorful lunch. Lovely location, especially the outdoor patio seating.
My seasoned vegetarian and veganish friends loved it. Im not going to disagree with a vegan.
As a vegetarian for years that has tried out hundred of vegan restaurants, this is the BEST vegan restaurant I have ever tried. Food is pure perfection and service is good. A must-place to eat
MUST MUST MUST GO! This is the best restaurant in Lisbon. The way the chef prepares the food is beyond conscientious and with immense care. Vegan food prepared according to the moon cycle, the season, the weather - the menu changes daily but there are always some staples like veggie burger and salads. You can’t miss this spot! It’s open every day of the week for lunch and dinner with a break in the late afternoon in between mealtimes so the kitchen can prep for dinner. It’s usually very busy so reservations are a good call, but I just dropped by and only had to wait for 10mins.
Superrrreerr delicious. Stayed in Lisbon for a week, came here at least 4 times. All dishes from menu are delicious but my personal favorite are Spirit Tofu (unfortunately forget to take a pictureand Veggie burger. Everything was just perfectttttttt
I had lunch there daily during my visit in Lisbon! The food was amazing. One of the best vegan restaurants I have ever been to. I tried most of their dishes and was not disappointed. Their pecan pie was a dream!
Fantastic food, one of the best meals we had in Lisbon - and there is a lot of good vegan food there! Great wine and friendly staff, and a lovely setting.
One of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in Portugal. Service was great, the food was absolute bliss and we left extremely happy and satisfied, still talking about the meal the days after. Our favorite was the cashew mozzarella !! In 10 Years of being vegan i haven’t tried anything that got as close to the original, I’d say even better. Also the pecan pie is to die for
We went there for Valentine’s Day. My husband who is not a huge fan of vegan food absolutely loved it. Everything is so flavorful, healthy and made with in season and local ingredients. We started with this divine rice bread accompanied by incredible vegan pâtés.We had the vegan steak and the penne as main dishes .The chocolate was delicious and perfect for a sweet end note.
I have been vegan for 16 years, written two raw vegan cookbooks, and this was one of the best meals I have ever had. Actually "meals" beacuse I got the burger to go for my plane ride. Wow. At the restaurant, I had the roasted veggies. The flavors were exquiste, very developed (ie, they take you on a journey), and wholesome at the same time. The food isnt slammed with soy sauce, nutritional yeast, or any of the typical non-inventive vegan cooking techniques. This is just beautiful food made with so much care, love, and appreciation, it almost made me cry. Lol, I am not kidding. Amazing food literally makes me cry. Anyhow, I just wanted to share my gratitude to the chefs for their committment to creating and sharing amazing food. And to hint that they should open shop in the SF bay area. I need more of your food :)
It’s average ok food.Nothing special or good that those reviews make it out to be.People here have never had better food then this before. We almost had everything in the menu. The soup of the day which was cauliflower was ok.Caprese Salad was also just ok.Lentil curry, to many spices that it didn’t even make sense and cold.Ceasers Salad, no dressing, but to much cheese.Chickpea burger tasted like you were eating dough and not actually a nice burger also it had no flavor.Penne pasta with cashew sauce and pesto was the only better food.Tofu spirit was bland. We had 2 little kids with us and asked for pasta just with oil no sauce.Guess what it came with a sauce with so much garlic that it was to much even for an adult to consume that much garlic. And they charged the same price for that pastaLOLYou don’t just have the wrong order for little kids but even charge 12.90 for that portion. What a joke.I eat vegan food around the world and this is just a wanna be fancy try to be healthy restaurant that don’t take time to make it fresh for you the time you order because it was pre made that it came out that fast. And NO it’s not the best vegan restaurant in Lisbon. There are way better ones….
Absolutely incredible. Probably the best meal and dining experience Ive ever had. I had the spirit tofu and it blew my mind, it was astonishing. I couldnt believe how good it was. 200% recommend everyone to try it. And the cheesecake was also very yummy, one of the best desserts Ive had in a restaurant. I ate outside by the fire and read my book between my dishes with a glass of wine. It was perfect.
Great quality organic & vegan restaurant, everything was delicious, service was great from start to finish and also the food is not too expensive, would highly recommend trying out!
First off, the food here is very good. However the service is a bit quirky. The whole time I had the feeling of being deliberately ignored by the waitress. When I entered the restaurant, she just looked at me and turned away to the counter completely bored. When I asked her about the table, she said I can take any table I want. She forgot to mention that they have the digital menu only. Luckily I have noticed a QR code at the table. The internet connection inside the restaurant is not great, so having a digital menu only is a strange choice indeed. Another waiter brought a lemonade a couple of minutes later, which I did not order. Apparently the lemonade was meant for another table and it was a genuine mistake. Though it reminded me of the times when Portuguese restaurants tricked poor tourists into unwanted starters. Taking off 1 star for the service, otherwise it would be a solid 5 stars.
We stopped by while passing through Lisbon and we were very pleased with our experience here. The food was amazing, the setting was beautiful, and there were plenty of options. Whether or not youre vegan/vegetarian I think everyone would find something here that they like. I Highly recommend.
A very small vegan restaurant found in the heart of Lisbon . Ingredients were fresh. The penne with almond and pesto sauce was exquisite. The bean burger with rice and salad was delicious. Staff were friendly and the sitting area clean. I would recommend this place to any vegan.
My first time dining at Organi Chiado. I will be back again. The food was delicious and exceeded my expectations. I was there for lunch and ordered the curry lentils entree. It was a beautiful and flavorful presentation with cinnamon sticks and lime in the curried lentils, adding just the right amount of spice and tartness. The sliced and baked sweet potatoes were plated with a sweet, perhaps balsamic, drizzle which really complemented the lentils. There was also a colorful salad with mixed greens and purple cabbage and sprinkled with a few pomegranate arils for sweet and crunchy. A serving of seasoned rice also accompanied the entree. Tastes and texture were excellent. I was impressed with the entree so I ordered their vegan chocolate cake. Mostly, I wanted to compare their vegan chocolate cake with my version. Cake to cake, Organi Chiado’s was better than mine, they managed a light and fluffy cake. Frosting to frosting, theirs and mine are rich and chocolaty and hard to imagine they are vegan…both are winners. The servers were attentive and efficient and friendly. Overall, a more than excellent experience.
Delightful organic vegan restaurant located in the heart of Lisbon!Food*****This place earned a very RARE 5 stars from us for its food! The Rice bread is recommended and wow is it delicious!! We ordered the Risotto and the Veggie Chili. The veggie chili was a knockout, home run, and all the sides complimented it so well—the apples with the delicious sauce and cashews, the fresh side salad with balsamic and pomegranate and delicious rice. The Risotto was great (not as amazing as the chilibut tasted wonderful and was garnished w/ nutritional yeast and had portobello mushrooms. We got every food group in this dinner! We also got a Pina Colada that was so delicious and so fresh!Atmosphere****Great setting with several tables inside and a good amount outside. The lighting was not too bright and just the right setting. There is parking nearby and on the street. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the limited space inside but we can’t really fault them for that!Service****Quick, friendly, and the waiter was prompt to our table. We ordered a drink and it came really quick and was sooo fresh!Price$$Incredible price for food this good! It was only slightly over 12USD, which is below the $15USD that gets a place 3 price tags
Delightfully delicious vegan and veggie restaurant which now ranks as my favourite in Lisbon! The veggie wrap and ChocoCream dessert are particularly outstanding. The place has a lovely quiet outdoor deck and the staff are plentiful, attentive and friendly. Highly recommended if you want a healthy and yummy meal!
I’m everything but a vegan, yet I absolutely loved the food here. Quality ingredients, prepared with care and dedication, leading to very tasty flavours. They change the menu everyday, but if you get to pick the Thai tofu, bean-based veggie burger, or the seitan in mustard sauce, all of them are exquisite. For dessert, the pecan tart with ice cream is lush. Even the artisanal beer choice was top-notch. Last but not least, the service was excellent. Super nice, polite, and attentive staff! 5* on all fronts. We’ll be back very soon!
Must visit for any vegan in Lisbon! The food is made with so much precision and has the perfect taste. It is well designed with a balance of all nutrients. I especially love the concept of their burger. The staff is very kind and attentive. Loved it!
