Amazing views, clean apartment

A great location, great service and great food

The place is certainly great if you want to have a good view of the lake. Though I can say that it can be quite far, but the place is worth the stay. The rooms are great, and they give friendly services. All in all, Id recommend this place and definitely would go back.

My sister and I were gifted the Escape to Paradise voucher for Christmas and it didnt disappoint. I was able to book our stay, as well as dinner through email and despite a miscommunication discovery upon arrival about our dinner reservation it all worked out for the better in the end. The rooms were amazing and the food and restaurant service was delightful. It really was paradise.

Two room apartment was fantastic. Lots of room for a family. Views are amazing.

Fantastic spot with amazing views of Lake Taupo. The whole facility will need an update in the near future. The pool was closed for the season. There is a great bush walk just up the road which is about an hour round trip. Restaurant was great and the staff very friendly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room is very tidy, clean and spacious with a great view of the lake.

We have just had our family wedding at Oreti Village - it was amazing. Fleur is awesome to deal with and made everything so easy, she takes care of everything and has a great selection of people to offer all the different things you need on the day. It is a great venue with everything onsite and lots of room, there are lots of extras included that make it really good value. The food was great! Our family have holidayed in Kuratau for decades and we all enjoyed staying onsite and having a different experience at the lake! Thank you for an unforgettable day!

Beautiful view, spacious room with nice deck. Food at the restaurant was excellent. Only stayed overnight so didnt use any other facilities.

Its surely a very beautiful place to visit for the views. However, the quality of the accommodation is average. There are no fans in the accommodation and in case you need to stay there in summers, it can get really stuffy. Also, the AC is just in the living room. Plus, the maintenance of the property is alright. The tennis court is in a shabby condition and surely the super structure just surviving the ravages of time. There is supermarket close by. It is 20 minutes away from the closest town where there is a New World. So if you do not have a car hired, it can be a tricky place to stay. Otherwise, if youre there only for the views, its definitely a beautiful place to be at.

Stunning views, fantastic facilities, friendly people, great food, close to hot pools and supermarket while being far enough away from everything else. The internet is lacking. They do have wifi but its only enough to play Spotify and send and receive messages. When we were the only people here we were getting about a 12mb/s upload and a 5mb/s down. If anyone else turned up it would crash down to a 5mb/s max upload speed and I was regularly getting .50mb/s download speeds. Cell reception is enough to get calls and messages, but is also slow for anything else. I highly recommend this place if you want to disconnect from the world and stare at the stunning lake surrounded by bush and birds (quail are always fun!but if youre looking for a place to work while on holiday or relax and game with friends, this is not for you.

It is a hidden gem! Amazing view of the lake, clean rooms with well equipped kitchen. The restaurant was great as well, food was delicious. We will definitely come back.

The Villa was very nice and clean and the view is beautiful. The reason for my 3 stars is: the restaurant........ we arrived 8 oclock, we wanted to eat, they told us that the restaurant are going to close but if we order quickly they will help us. I ordered a scotch fillet 🥩 medium, I received it well. It said on the menu it comes with baby vegetables, I only received 6 baby leeks. My son ordered a Hawaiian 🍕, they did not have any 🍍, to what I said it is ok. But when the pizza came it looked like they ran out of ham as well because I think I counted like 5 little pieces. I asked about the pool to get informed they lock it at 9. It is summer time in NZ. They did offer me another steak but at that time I did not want to waste time to wait for another one. They did not even offer any discount on the meal. When we got to our Villa I wanted to go one the WiFi but I could not connect. They do advertise it but yea.......

This is a must stop for their restaurant. What amazing food, even cooking for a large group. I cant emphasize enough how delicious the meals are. The 2 bedroom suites were great, some with washing machine, and 2 bathrooms as well as kitchenette.

Beautiful spot with amazing lake view. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It is perfect having the restaurant at the village so you dont have to drive anywhere to have a decent meal. The dinner was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Booked this hotel in for a weekend. We were supposed to be checked in @ 2:00PM and got in there @4.30 but said the second three bedroom apartment was two hours away. No one was polite enough to apologies and ordered to check all of us in to a one apartment. We couldnt really understand what a funny health and safety they had applied there for their advantage. We had 12 adults and 3 infants 2kids (five families). Celia agreed to provide Extra beds for kids $25 EA. She never talked to us there and finally offered an extra two bedroom apartment for $300 pointing out about health and safety. Its disgusting, never met such a sneaky people in my life. We travel all around the world.

View of Taupo from the loft is just stunning. Apartment is clean, spacious with well equipped kitchen (fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher and all). There is a nice little restaurant if you dont want to cook (restaurant in Turangi is slim picking so this is a gem). I would have given this a 5 star rating if the pots and pans in the kitchen werent dirty and oily.

Stayed at their lake facing property for the new year. The view that I woke up to on the 1st of jan 2020 has to be the best ever. The place was so good that we were planning to extend out stay. Its nestled in between the highway and the lake. Its on the other side of taupo city center which ,I reckon is actually a good thing 😊. Spacious 2 bed with a huge balcony offering panoramic view of the lake,absolutely magical.Restaurant also had a good menu and loved our new year eve dinner(steak with pepper corn sauce,slurp!). We were 2 families with 1 child and 2 infants, the place was big enough for us. Kids had a ball and for us,big enough living room to relax and unwind.A big thank you to the owners , must say, absolute gem and thank you for making our stay wonderful. Highly recommend. Keep up the good work and see you soon !!!

Amazing place for holiday or office party with Taupo lake view. We had our Christmas party in there. They serve delicious fish items.

Was a very nice resort to stay at. Close to the lake, private, has a swimming pool and staff are friendly and easy to deal with. Worth a stay!

Beautiful spot however will never stay here ever again. Facilities are dated and not especially clean. Bed is uncomfortable and service poor at best

Beautiful, peaceful and good accommodation. I love the view of Taupo Lake in our terrace and feels so relaxing and just wonderful to look at.

I stay at this hotel , and they charge me $100 cleaning fee.I already travel around the world and this is the first time i get charge for cleaning fee.I leave the unit clean. dishwasher all cleaned up. I dont know what they mean by dirty.Very bad.Going to dispute this to my card

Beautiful location and facilities. A few little niggles though like no guide in the room about the facilities, cool white lights in the bedroom was quite harsh and a TV remote that doesnt work. What a view though!

The views over Lake Taupo are spectacular (I regret not taking photos during the day to upload here).Nearby is Tokaanu where there is a walking track where you can get up close to the hot springs. Then inside there are freshwater private pools which will help you relax.The next main town is Turangi which is about a 10-15 minute drive. Visit there for several good restaurants and to purchase groceries/amenities/fuel/alcohol.About 45 minutes away is Taupo Central which is worth visiting at least once. It’s in the opposite side of the lake and is quite a large town. There’s a beautiful botanical garden, lots of shops/restaurants, and is where you would go if you wanted to book skydiving/bungee jumping/water rafting, etc.Visiting from Australia via my parent’s timeshare. This place is seriously good value for what my parent’s timeshare week cost.Although the cabin feels a tad dated, the place is massive and still has two unused bedrooms surplus to our needs (I wish I invited a few friends in hindsight). All bathrooms/kitchens are well up to scratch.There is a lounge on each level as well so this would really be ideal for a large family or a group of friends.

The views are breath taking. Didnt try the restaurant unfortunately but the accommodation was very comfortable. Service was great. Would definitely visit again.

What a magical spot! Comfy 2 bedroom chalet with unobstructed Lake Taupo views (if you chalets 1-15 - other may look across roofs). Comfortably equipped and feels like miles from civilisation, surrounded by chatty birds.

Great place, great room, awesome view, however the restaurant, when I go out for dinner I like to order food that I cant cook myself at home.

very cozy place! has a small kitchen where you can cook on your own, and has a balcony that overlooks lake taupo. beds have their own heaters, and master bedroom is connected to the balcony. cooling weather there.

We started with a couple of owners at this timeshare and were very underwhelmed. The timeshare was located far from everything. The restaurant was ok, but even though we arrived two minutes late for our dinner reservation. Out table had been given away and we had to wait at additional half hour for a table. This is certainly not something that would have happened with a reservation any other place weve eaten. Extremely unprofessional servers and maitre de. The unit was poorly maintained and lacked outlets. Also, theyre was a very loud wedding the night we arrived that was not over until midnight. We would never stay there again.

We arranged a team function here in July 2018. Accommodation was spacious, with all necessary cooking facilities, shower was powerful (very important in winter), all beds had electric blankets and the heater was working well. Staff here are knowledgeable, professional and helpful with all our requests, special thanks to Fleur, James and Sarah. Restaurant was top quality in both food and drinks, if you have special request the chef will try to accommodate as well. The function room Loft worked perfectly for us, and the view was amazing. Highly recommend the place either for a holiday break or event. looking forward to coming back here again.

We came here for a wedding and stayed two nights. The first night we had a BBQ which we were a little disappointed that being value for money. The villa we stayed had a lovely view. It was two story and the kitchen and lounge was on the first floor with shower and toilet and the upstairs was two bedroom with an ensuite in the one bedroom with a large bed and the other bedroom had two single beds.

Lovely visit. Staff were friendly, food was delightful and the vibe was great despite fog blocking the view. It is also nice and intimate too. There arent many places to dine out in Turangi and this is a little bit of a hike but it is worth it.

Sure is quiet & peaceful. Lake is oily flat & quiet today - almost broody. Resort room is fantastic, although TV & some plumbing fixtures showing their age a bit.

Apartments are very nice and the staff is doing everything for guests comfort. The view from the accommodation is fantastic. The only negative thing is about the price - 300 $ isnt a bargain at all.

Love this place. The apartment was amazing and comes with free laundry. The restaurant on the premises is a must try! Definitely would recommend this to all our friends.

As a venue for views this place cannot be faulted. The views are stunning and our Wedding guests were blown away. As for the function itself we found this to be very unorganized, leaving most of the work to us and dealing with 3 different people to help plan our wedding function. A negligence on the bar staff to uphold what we had organised prior to be our limit on the alcohol tab resulted in us copping an extra $2,500 on top of our limit. Gifting out shots and top tier bottles of wine to our guests when there were instructions in place for this to be controlled. This tainted what was a beautiful wedding.
