Ord Hill Carpark - Public parking space in Inverness, United Kingdom
Good for walking through the woods and enjoying the views over the Kessock bridge
Park 4 night 8 places for motor homes quiet secluded in middle of woods love it
Lovely walk perfect on hot days as shaded the majority of the way round
Nice level paths for a stroll
Nice walk. Total disrespect by some dog owners throwing dog bags in the woods. Maybe some waste bins could help
Very busy with lots of lovely friendly people walking there dogs, definitely will return
Lovely for a quick walk with the dogs. Quite a few potholes on the way in but always space to park. Great spot so close to the city.
Its a capital for the many marked and waymarked trails in the woods of Ord Hill with views from the top back to Inverness and of course the hill fort.
1.5km walk through the beautiful forest to see this amazing view
A mossy glade in the forest. Expect nothing more but then, youll want for nothing more.
Great place to walk dogs and geocash. Lovely views.
Lovely walks and a great place. Highly reccomend for both avid walkers and people looking for a nice stroll as has areas for both
Great walk & Great veiw
Great place for a walk. My kids loved it.
Ice everywhere cars all over the place great for cycling around tho.
Not a lot of spaces & its very muddy
This was time to walk and take in some wonderful views.
Lovely forest walks which are easily accessible (by carfrom the A9/Inverness/Dingwall area. BUT: Look out for all the potholes on the track up to the car park - especially the massive one at the junction.
Access road getting more potholed
This is a very pleasant walk. We did the circular walk and it took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get round. A bit up and down in places but just the right level of strenuous for us. We did the route anti clockwise which gives all the best views over Inverness up front whereas the backend of the walk is more boring but still a nice walk all round.
Went for a night stroll, circular path best! There is a bench and viewpoint of Inverness 😊
Nice easy walk with great views over Inverness
Very cool woods with the moss everywhere, touch creepy in the night time perfect horror movie scene.
Great circular walk, pleasant views of the The Inverness Harbour, The Kessock bridge and the Moray Firth. There are two or three view points off the pathway. I am unsure of the length of the walk but it can be done in less than an hour. The road unfortunately is full of large pot holes.
We parked here overnight. It was quite bizzy with other campers but very quiet ⛺
A very pleasant walk with lovely views
We walked to here, but once in the car park there are various way marked routes on the hill to suit various abilities. Very relaxing.
Nice wee walk with a beautiful view of Inverness
Good paths for disability scooter so accessible for everyone
The walk around the hill and to the summit has many spectacular views. The remains of the old fort are easily found.
Easy free parking. Pity no toilet.
Had a great walk up here with the dog.
A couple of nice circular walks here. Good views of the firth here and there along the trail. Paths ok. Lots of trees.
Amazing scenery and beautiful walk.
Good length of walk with a buggy and a toddler
Fantastic area for forest walk. Lovely views of Inverness from viewpoint.
Great place for a quick walk or run with amazing views of the city. Just beware there has been the occasional theft from cars so take valuables with you - and watch the dog poo!
Plenty of spaces mid week and walks short but good..
Great place for a local walk, super views and much wildlife even through plantations.
Wonderful walking area but needs dog poo bins!
Road leading to ord hill is awful pothole city but ord hill itself is beautiful with ancient ruined fort and a couple of lovely walks
What an amazing place to walk and be in nature!
Ample parking start of Ord hill walk.
Lovely spot. Beautiful views and woodlands walks. Decent amount of parking space. Excellent location for dog walking. Sadly there is no bin at the carpark and as a result some dog walkers have left their poop bags around the place.
Two good Forestry walks, one easy on Forestry tracks, the other a bit more of a climb, but also well laid. The walk passes a field of sheep at one point but it is well fenced, so okay for dogs.
Lovely place for a walk, walk around the hill is longer and easier, up the hill is steeper but worth for the Hill fort at the top.
Beautiful woodland walks with wonderful views over Inverness. Great for dog walking! Some fantastic fungi including Fly Agaric, August 2017.
Fantastic walk to take your dogs with great scenery
Good place to walk the dogs apart from a lack of dog bins. Good choice of routes, good views, reasonable sized car park and tends to be pretty quiet.
Beautiful scenery, choice of walks. ... great place to relax
