A really, really good Chinese takeaway - probably the best Ive been to in Christchurch.Great meals, fair prices and the service has always been excellent.I can personally recommend the Gong Bao Chicken, which is a favourite of mine.Highly recommended if youre in the mood for Chinese takeaway food.

Extensive menu which I would like to explore further.The Mapo Tofu was not mala enough for me but I will try some other dishes

Absolutely amazing, I have been to this place many of times and it never fails the pork belly on rice is to die for I can not get enough of it. The jelly fish and duck are also a crowd favorite in my family. So if your looking for a nice meal for the whanau than look no further than Orange House 🏠🧡 I look forward to many more meals in the future 🙂

Fantastic pork belly, consistent every time we go, great new renovations and plenty of seating. Definitely on our restaurant rotation list.

Prices are a little higher than I expected. The eatery could do with more space as diners are packed too closely for comfort. I was impressed by the chefs skill. However, depending on what you order, the portions can differ greatly. I had chicken rice and my partner ordered pigs stomach with rice. The amount of pig stomach was very little - measly strips stretched with onions. In the end, my partner had to eat some of my chicken to try in vain to satisfy his growling stomach.

I love Orange House. Only wish I had discovered it sooner! The food is great and owners are very friendly. Small but cozy. Its now my go-to place for Chinese takeaway or a quick meal. Im moving next month and will miss coming here.

Chicken and corn soup, Lamb with corriander and spicy chicken knuckles are to die for. My whole family loves this place.Very friendly and good customer service, affordable prices, good portion size and delicious food.weve been going to this place from the past 4years or so and have never been disappointed.Only 1 request to the owners.- it would be great if you guys are back open on saturdays again.

This is one of my favourite restaurants, Ive been going there for 7 years now!! theyre always friendly and have put massive effort into perfecting their menu. Its affordable and consistent, I would recommend the pork belly on rice or the beef and tomato on rice both superb dishes

The Lemon Chicken is good with friendly staff but the price is quite high.

Recently opened after renovation with a fresh and clean atmosphere. Cosy space just off Riccarton Rd not far from Church corner. South East Chinese cuisine with familiar spices and exotic ingredients. Honest local hospitality coupled with smiles and warmth. Delicious food. Spicy green beans is a must-to-order dish. Else one of those sizzling plates. Watch out for the tongue-numbing Sichuan pepper.

I have been to this restaurant which is located in Christchurch and the location is very convenient.People can get there by bus.I still remember the first time I got there.There is an awesome atmosphere ,a lot of decorations,which makes it quite peaceful and beautiful.Actually I really like the service in there ,the waiters are so friendly and polite,which makes me feel like at home.

Very small dining place. But once you order the food and taste it...it is way better than anyother big fancy resturants. I intend to go there frequently since I noticed that the local chinese people were enjoying the meal, it means that the taste is genuinely Chinese Chinese. 3 meals I ordered today was prepared very nicely.

The beef with cumin was good but the gongbao jiding was not good. I didnt like the taste, very different to gongbao jiding in China and tasted like it was made with bean paste that had gone off.

This is my favourite Chinese Takeaway/ Dine in place in Christchurch. The Staff are warm and lovely and their food is well priced AND TASTY! At the time of writing this you can get a Beef and Mushroom dish on rice for under $15.The staff their are Cantonese, but they speak brilliant English as well, and their service is excellent.

It is like a typical small restaurant in China: small place, friendly owner, affordable price and good taste (although not superb). Good place for a casual dinner.

My Chinese friends took me here for a lunch.I did not had any idea what to order but I asked the server and they were helpful.Almost all the menu is around $15-17Good spicy Chinese food loved it!!Definitely a good place to take out and dine in (not anything fancy though)Overall very satisfying experience

I have been eating at Orange House at least 3 to 4 times a month for the past 3 years. It continues to be one of my go to spots when looking to grab a decent, quick and tasty mealSmall and cosy dining area, can get very busy during lunch and dinner peak times. Menu is fantastic, huge selection and very well presented. Value for money is fantastic, service is friendly and welcoming. By far the best (authenticChinese restaurant I’ve been to in Christchurch. I’ve been eating here for a long time and I always feel happy. I like spicy food here, the food is cheap and good quality. It’s not only a take away, but also we can eat here. Service is quite good and food is always quick so I’m never disappointed when I eat here.

Taste good, cosy place but somewhat small dining area. Reasonably priced.. Good value for money.. And each dish comes in a large portion ☺

Cheap and easy Chinese food. Northern style so expect lots of spicy. Small seating area so take away might be better for larger groups

Personally I think this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Christchurch. Great selection of dishes. Rather small dine-in area, but they do take out too.
